This week Nick talks to the brilliant journalist Elle Hunt, whose work has appeared in The Guardian, The Observer magazine, Tortoise, New Scientist, Grazia and The Face, among other places. Elle is based in London, having been born in the UK, however her teenage band story takes place in New Zealand where she grew up. Elle talks about her experience forming a band partly for a school assessment, but mainly to enter RockQuest, a nationwide contest for young New Zealand bands. Did her band join the ranks of The Datsuns, Kimbra, The Naked and Famous, the Phoenix Foundation and other success stories from the competition? Listen and find out!
