Sarah (00:15):
Hey, maniacs.
Mark (00:16):
Hey, mystery maniacs.
Sarah (00:18):
Welcome to a mini
episode.
Mark (00:20):
Spoiler free wiki wiki
wiki wiki.
Sarah (00:24):
This mini is for season
eleven episode five of
Brokenwood Mysteries.
Mark (00:28):
The end of the line. Yes.
Literally and figuratively.
To zipline.
Yes.
Sarah (00:35):
Yes. Poor Mark.
Flashbacks to being a teacher
away at camp with kids.
Mark (00:39):
Oh my gosh. This camp is
so much better than the camps I
Sarah (00:43):
went to.
Mark (00:46):
We've also Left me
scarred.
Sarah (00:48):
We've also got sad Frodo.
Oh. Sad for a whole new reason.
Mark (00:52):
Frodo's so sad.
Sarah (00:54):
He's happy at the end.
Yes. Let's see.
Mark (00:56):
But it's a it is a
callback
Sarah (00:58):
Yes.
Mark (00:59):
To episode two of this
series, the quiz night episode.
Sarah (01:04):
Yes. We've got some
characters who come back, which
I think is really fun.
Mark (01:09):
Yeah. It's it's definitely
you remember people. Like, was
like, isn't that? And it was.
Sarah (01:15):
I wonder if when they
have guest actors like this on
two episodes, if they film themout of order to keep them on set
and just do like if they filmedepisode two and then they filmed
episode five because a lot ofthose actors were the same or if
they just come back.
Mark (01:30):
I would assume so. And we
also get a flashback to episode
two.
Sarah (01:34):
You're right.
Mark (01:36):
And Gina doesn't let
things go.
Sarah (01:40):
She does not let things
go. There's also a fun issue
about jurisdiction that's nevercome up before. They refer to
Riverstone quite a bit as beinga town that's like, what, a
twenty minute drive away or It'sthe nearest town. And now that
they're they're out kind of inthe woods at a camp for this
episode, there's a question of,well, who is jurisdiction out
(02:02):
Riverstone Police or BrokenwoodPolice?
Mark (02:04):
And and Brokenwood, like
Midsommar is one of those towns
where people both say, it's asmall town so everybody knows
everything. And then there areother parts in the episode where
you're like, everyone in townwould know that.
Sarah (02:18):
Yeah. Well, in Midsommar,
you understand that they have
kind of county jurisdiction, butuntil this episode, I didn't
realize that Riverstone even hadtheir own police force.
Mark (02:30):
Yeah. It was very weird.
Sarah (02:32):
And apparently, they do.
Mark (02:33):
Yes.
Sarah (02:34):
Alright. We've got some
questions for you so
Mark (02:36):
you can watch like a
maniac.
Sarah (02:37):
Watch
Mark (02:37):
like a maniac because boy,
there is we there was much
pausing and looking at There are
Sarah (02:43):
so many fun things to
Mark (02:44):
look at. Many fun
Sarah (02:46):
things. Fun things to
note. Sometimes I feel like our
watch like a maniac questionsare just about the set dressing,
but it's a bit more complicatedin this one. There's more to it
than that. Absolutely.
So we have five questions. Areyou ready for the questions?
Yes. Okay. Question number one.
We see Trudy at the pub Yes. Inthis episode. Where do we see
(03:06):
Ray?
Mark (03:06):
Yes.
Sarah (03:07):
Look for Ray in the
episode. That's question number
one. Yes. Number two, what's thecallback to an earlier episode
that is near Frodo's coffeeshop, his coffee cart?
Mark (03:20):
Absolutely. Frodo's coffee
cart is becoming An important
location. An important location
Sarah (03:26):
Yes.
Mark (03:26):
For us.
Sarah (03:27):
So what's the callback to
an earlier episode that's near
Frodo's coffee cart?
Mark (03:31):
Yes. Number three, what
can't you feed at the Kingdom Of
Rogues?
I am going to find this
shop, man.
Sarah (03:41):
There's something
specific that you can't feed.
Mark (03:43):
You
can't feed it at the
kingdom of roads. Four. Sorry.
Sarah (03:48):
Who's a Ghostbusters fan?
Somebody in the episode is a
Ghostbusters fan.
Mark (03:52):
Someone clearly is a
Ghostbusters fan in the episode
and makes clear reference to it.
Sarah (03:58):
Yep. If can see if you
can catch it. Yep. And number
five, this is probably thehardest one. Yes.
Spot the Fraggle in the There isa fragle.
Mark (04:10):
There's a fragle in the
episode.
Sarah (04:12):
From Fraggle Rock. And
old page made
Mark (04:15):
that fragle.
Sarah (04:16):
Bonus. Bonus. You're even
more maniacal. Yes. So those are
the five questions.
Mark (04:23):
There's so much going on
in this episode. And you have to
watch episode two and episodefour kind of together. Sorry,
episode five. Two and five. Youkind of have to watch them
together.
Sarah (04:36):
Oh, don't know. Like,
like you think people should
skip three and four and then
Mark (04:40):
No, no, no, no, But but if
you
Sarah (04:43):
If you've watched two
recently, five will have more
meaning to you. Yes. That'sright. They do a good job of
reminding you of what you needto know from episode two since
these are returning characters. But if you've seen it recently,
it will help.
Mark (04:58):
Yes. Absolutely.
Sarah (04:59):
If you've not seen two,
don't watch five. No. A lot of
it will not make sense
Mark (05:03):
to You got to watch two
and five in the right order.
Sarah (05:06):
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Mark (05:06):
And then we will be
returning next week with episode
six, the Frodo the Ode'sChristmas.
Sarah (05:13):
Yes. That's is that the
final episode of season eleven?
Mark (05:16):
That is the final episode
of season eleven.
Sarah (05:18):
I hope we get to see
Frodo's family.
Mark (05:21):
I hope so.
Sarah (05:21):
Can you imagine what
they're like?
Mark (05:23):
Frodo's mother. I would
like to see Frodo's mom and dad.
They would be fantastic.
Sarah (05:28):
Who made Frodo?
