Speaker 1 (00:07):
Welcome to the
Mystical Truths Podcast.
This is Rebecca, and I'm reallyglad you're here.
Let's unlock your world.
Do you wake up sometimes andthink what was that all about?
That was a lot of random stuff.
I'm pretty sure we all do, so Ithought it would be fun to talk
about what those innon-physical tell us about
(00:30):
what's happening during oursleep time and dream states and
how to get the honey from it,because humans have come up with
a lot of ideas about that.
But I think there's nothingmore accurate than getting our
information right from source orGod or infinite intelligence
you can pick your word Accordingto the Emanuel teachings that
(00:52):
Pat Rogas received fromNonphysical.
There are three categories ofdreaming, and it might be even
more accurate to say sleepstates, and I'll explain that as
we go.
But first let's note that ineach case, your body is resting
and your soul is active and, just like in awake states, these
are all about where your focusis.
(01:14):
So, from least frequent to mostfrequent, one type is when your
focus is more non-physical thanwhen you're awake, sort of like
going home but not fully, andthey say we awaken refreshed.
So that's a clue that we've hada focusing, more non-physical
(01:35):
sleep state.
Another is when you travel outof body and you go where love
calls you, helping others invarious ways, and they say that
we may wake a bit tired fromthese because it's been sort of
an active sleep state, but thatwe should appreciate that
because we've been busy, we'vebeen doing some great things,
(01:58):
you know, and I found that wemay not always recall, that, we
probably most often don't recallanything about it, but I have
had other people say to me youcame to me in my dream last
night and I just wanted to thankyou.
That's really interesting,because I usually don't remember
that.
So let's consider, though, thatthose first two that I just
(02:19):
mentioned aren't really what weconsider to be dreams.
That's why I like sleep state, but they belong as categories,
because you may occasionallyremember pieces and interpret
them as a dream, but I thinkwhen we do remember pieces of
them, it's so real and positivethat we can distinguish the
difference between that or oneof those and an actual dream
(02:43):
dream.
So the most frequent is what weconsider to be a dream, and
that's when they tell us yourawareness lifts from the
physical body and sort of floatsnearby translating the day's
activities or thoughts, which iswhere dream interpretation
comes in handy.
And to help us understand that, the Abraham Hicks teachings
(03:07):
explain that dreams tell howyou're trending, how you're
flowing, where you're headed, and they mean that interpreting
them can provide guidance.
Because, just like in a waketime, your sleeping dream state
is created by what you think andhow you feel about it.
(03:27):
So your dreams are evidence ofhow or where your life is
flowing, of what's unfoldingbecause of what and how you've
been thinking, and that meansthere's no escaping how life
works.
The proof is in our awake timeand in our sleep time, which is
wonderful to know.
(03:47):
It's really good stuff.
Abraham also tells us that ifyour dreams contain things that
you do like or want, know thatyou're trending that way.
If, on the other hand, theycontain things that you don't
like or don't want, it's justevidence that you're trending or
moving or don't want.
It's just evidence that you'retrending or moving or flowing
that way.
It's pretty simple.
(04:08):
They say it's advancedannouncement of what you're
creating, some version of.
So, if you think about it,dreams are manifestations of
thoughts without filters.
They tell us that we don'tlimit ourselves in dreams like
we do in awake life, and that'swhy the scenarios are so without
(04:29):
limits, so bizarre.
Sometimes Our filters are off.
Dreams of frustration come froma vibrationally steady state of
frustration.
Ones of fun or bliss come froma pretty steady vibrational
state in your waking time of funor bliss or well-being.
(04:49):
And we tend to recall the onesthat are jumbled or are
problematic or really bizarre.
We tend to recall those becausethere's still expansion to be
done there, we're not quitefinished with the thought
process or the unfolding, and sorecurring dreams or repeated
(05:10):
dreams are about recurring issueor issues.
It's just your dreams way ofsaying that you're on your way
again to some similar situationsor similar outcomes.
So that's when you look atwhat's been going on lately.
This dream is just telling methat I'm repeating something in
my life that I've been throughbefore and may want to do a
(05:35):
little work on or clean up.
And then the recurring dreamsstop.
So to get honey from our dreams, they say first you have to
accept that you're a blend ofnon-physical consciousness and
this you that you know it'salways a blend, whether you're
awake or asleep.
Then look at the overall vibe, look what's the overall
(05:57):
vibrational sense of the dream, what's the overall story or the
scenario.
So stay real, broad, initially, and then go for what's the
feeling of it Like, what does itfeel like, and then you want to
get into the symbols and we'lltalk more about all three of
these.
(06:17):
Bashar, who is translated byDaryl Anka, says when you awaken
and remember a dream, you'reallowing your physical mind to
construct its interpretationusing props and symbols that
it's comfortable with.
So our recall is our brainusing or utilizing props and
(06:41):
symbols that we're familiar withor comfortable with to convey
the information.
So it's best that we don't tryto figure out what the dream
means or what it's there for,but to just listen and feel,
look at what's already there asinformation.
You know, for example, I wasteaching a dream interpretation
(07:01):
class a while back at a collegeand one person said that they
have a recurring or repeateddream of a toilet overflowing,
like it's gross, it's dirty.
And this person said I knowsomething's wrong and I really
have to go, but I can't doanything about it.
(07:22):
And this was a pretty big class.
Four other people in that classraised their hands and said
I've had that same kind of dream.
There were a little bit ofvariations.
Like one said, hers was a holein the ground instead of a
toilet.
So it still had the sameunderlying message to it.
(07:43):
And I said that's a pretty easydream to interpret, because if
you think about the gross stuff, the crap in your life that
won't flush, it just won't goaway, that's a clue you know
something's wrong.
You have to relieve yourself orrelief yourself, get some
(08:04):
relief, but you feel powerlessto a situation.
So we take that information andwe look at it and ask how does
that match my life, like what'sgoing on lately or what's going
on again, that says that, thatsays there's just all this crap
(08:25):
that I can't do anything aboutand it's too much, it's
overwhelming.
I really need relief, but Ifeel powerless to this situation
.
Before we talk more about makingsense of your dreams, let's
take a quick look at the typesof dreams.
There are various types ofdreams, according to research,
that I think are interesting totake a look at.
(08:46):
So one type is daydream.
Now, this is not a sleep thing.
They say that we daydream onaverage 70 to 120 minutes a day,
which is probably not nearlyenough.
Daydreaming is classified as alevel of consciousness between
sleep and wakefulness.
It occurs during our wakinghours, when we let our
(09:06):
imagination carry us away.
As our mind begins to wanderand our level of awareness
decreases, we lose ourselves inour imagination or our imagined
scenario.
We can create wonderful thingsfrom our imagination.
So if you're daydreaming aboutthings that don't feel good not
helping, it's not helping youSwitch when you realize you're
(09:30):
doing that, switch and justdaydream about things that feel
good.
Another type of dream or typeskind of of dreams are the
intuitive ones.
Now, this we can sort of dividein two, because you can
actually dream of these or youcan have what I call being in an
(09:51):
easy state of receiving.
Under this category would betelepathic dreams.
Under this category would betelepathic dreams clairvoyant,
prophetic healing.
And keep in mind here that whenyou sleep, your body is always
rejuvenating and healing.
So we're talking aboutinformation in this dream, about
how you can get more relief orhealing in your waking time.
(10:15):
So, for example, if I'm dreamingof one of these intuitive types
, maybe it's a dream that mypole collapses and there's just
water everywhere and I wake upand think does that mean my pole
is going to collapse and it'sgoing to go everywhere?
If it feels good and it feelslike it's information, then you
(10:36):
might want to take a look atyour pool, but if it feels bad
or it just it feels more dreamythan information-y, so to speak,
then that's what it is.
I would take a look at youremotions.
Water generally is a symbol foremotions.
Have your emotions beenoverflowing lately?
Are you about to burst or doyou need to relieve some pent-up
(11:03):
emotions?
Or, on the real, intuitive, receiving side, if you dream
about getting a new pool and itjust feels really good, the old
pool comes down, the new poolgoes up, and you haven't really
thought about that.
That could be intuitiveinformation saying it's helpful
to go ahead and look at the pooland consider a replacement.
(11:23):
And you know.
Also, I want to say that whenthey are the actual, intuitive,
not dream type, you're in asleep state, but you're
intuiting clairvoyantly,prophetically, whatever.
Intuiting clairvoyantly,prophetically, whatever, the
information should always feelgood.
If it feels calm, if it feelsgood, if it feels vibrant, then
(11:50):
that is you receivinginformation from your higher
self, from the other side, because it's never negative.
It can be about things that wecall negative, like healing.
It can be about things that wecall negative, like healing.
It can be about a healthcondition, but it has a really
good feel to it or it has asolution to it.
And there are also in thisintuitive category you could put
visitations, because sometimesyou have a dream that is
(12:12):
prophetic or telepathic and itis a receiving dream, but then
sometimes you also have dreamsthat are so vibrant that you
know that you are not alone.
In that dream you actually havethe sense of another soul or
souls being with you, communicating with you, having
(12:35):
an experience with you.
I remember a few months aftermy mother passed, I was just in
that beautiful place betweensleep and awake and she was
right there, so vibrant, infront of me, didn't say a word,
I could feel everything that shewas conveying and it was very
real and vibrant and very, verybrief, but it was amazing that I
(12:58):
would call a visitation.
That was her, the energy of herpresenting herself to me.
So then we have the third, andthat's the ordinary dream.
This is where we're sorting andmaking sense of life.
So under this category youcould say we have physical
dreams that result from anoutside influence while you're
(13:19):
asleep, like a siren from a firetruck, and then you start
dreaming about a fire truck orsome type of a siren.
There are lucid dreams where youcan control the dream because
you're aware that you'redreaming.
You're asleep, you're dreaming,but you're aware you're
dreaming.
These are really interesting.
You can also decide what todream about before you go to
(13:40):
sleep in some cases.
So this may be a more directunderstanding or awareness of
you and your higher self, yourphysical self, your higher self,
sort of doing this together.
I heard there's a Tibetantradition that the lucid dreams
are considered to be dream yoga.
(14:01):
So that's a thought.
And then there are therecurring dreams.
They repeat with littlevariation and generally, once
you find your solution, once youclean things up in your
physical world, they stop.
Nightmares generally are about areally strong message.
You know, a fear or a reallyproblematic issue that's
(14:26):
unresolved, or maybe evenpost-traumatic stress and or
past life recall Could be either.
Or.
Again, it pays to take a lookat your daytime life.
If there are fears that you'redealing with, if there's been
trauma in an adult or a child, then I would look there first.
(14:46):
But if there's information thatis not relating to your
physical life here and thesenightmares keep happening, then
it might be worth looking intothe idea of could this be past
life recall?
You know, research tells usthat nightmares are common in
children, typically beginningaround age three and occurring
(15:07):
to up around age seven or eight.
They fade away, and that couldbe for two reasons because you
know, around the age two orthree you're starting to realize
there's a lot of contrast inthis world.
This is a big place.
There's a lot going on.
It's not all friendly, maybescary things happen.
So that could be just a typicalnightmare kids happening during
(15:38):
their sleep time, justsomething from a previous life
that they need a little helpletting go of or gaining a
different perspective about, andthen the nightmares can fade
and go away.
So always information.
And then there are epic dreams.
They're dreams that are just sobig, so compelling, they're so
vivid that you just can't ignorethem and the details tend to
stay with you for most of yourlife, if not the rest of your
(16:02):
life.
Years ago I had an epic dream, and I was in my early 30s, I
think it was, and in the dream Iwas looking at myself in what
appeared to be maybe like acasket, and it was amazing.
I was beautiful beyondbeautiful, wonderful beyond
(16:22):
wonderful, and not in thephysical way, but in the dream I
was looking at myself layingthere and I was sort of hiding
under a shield.
You could call it a blanket, maybe I was just some kind of a
shield and I wanted to seemyself and I wanted to not hide
under that shield, but I wasnonetheless.
(16:44):
And when I woke up from thatdream I thought it felt so good.
But yet it did have thatinformation of what are you
hiding your light for?
Light for you know that's.
I was going through a period ofjust understanding myself more
and just beginning to not careso much about what other people
think of me or of what I believein and what I do, how I live,
(17:07):
all that kind of stuff.
So it was a really helpfuldream for that, because it's
like I got to see my inner self.
So considering the type ofdream can really be helpful, my
inner self.
So considering the type ofdream can really be helpful.
And then, when we go to thesymbols, I think it's helpful to
just consider how symbologyworks a little bit, as in, if
(17:29):
you dream of a dove, most peoplewould say that a dove is this
universal symbol of love andpeace.
So that could be why the doveis in the dream.
It could be that piece ofinformation, but you have to
look at what really stands outIn your culture.
If doves are considered adelicacy I don't know if they
(17:55):
are anywhere, but I'm just usingthis as an example then that
really might stand out more thanthe universal meaning.
If in your personal symbology,in your personal life, if you
have been chased or pecked by adove at one point in your life
and it really stood out andthat's what you think of when
you think of a dove, well thenthe universal and the cultural
meanings go right out the window.
Your personal meaning shouldalways be the one that stands
(18:18):
out.
When it stands out, that shouldbe the one you use, so you can
just consider those as you lookat the symbols.
Well, does it mean anythinguniversally or in a cultural
kind of way?
In a personal kind of way?
But the personal one shouldalways override the other two.
So they tell us before sleepget into a higher vibration.
If you can Make peace withanything that's bugging, you,
(18:43):
put it aside.
If you can, or just make adecision to think about it
tomorrow, acknowledge the innerbeing part of you right, because
we're always doing thistogether, because there's no
separation and then intend ordecide to remember any relevant
dreams and then lightly, playfully, think about what's
(19:06):
going well, what you like, whatyou would like to dream about,
just keep yourself in a highervibration as you fall asleep and
then, when you wake up, askyourself did I dream, do I
remember a dream?
And if you do, first note thatoverall feeling of the dream,
that big, broad sense of it.
What's the overall feeling?
(19:28):
Does it feel tense orfrustrating?
Did it feel wide open?
Was the overall sense beingrushed or searching for
something?
Was the overall sense beingrushed or searching for
something?
Was the overall sense likeeverything was just coming
together?
That's probably the mostimportant information that
you'll get from the dream.
(19:49):
That's why I always say getthat most important stuff right
away before you forget the dream.
You can even give it a theme, like too many people in a room
or I have no idea what's goingon, maybe it's something like
flying through my workplace.
You can even use a tablet or adream journal and jot this stuff
(20:11):
down.
Take a look at it over time andjust see if you can connect any
dots.
And we'll talk about some morethemes in a minute, but I want
to stick with the what to dohere.
So determine the main symbolsOnce you have that overall feel,
you've got the overall idea orscenario, then go ahead and take
(20:31):
a look at the symbols and whatthey may mean to you, as in,
what does that person representto me?
Because it's oftentimes notabout the actual person, it's
about what they represent to youas a symbol In that dream.
Just then, in that dream, in anAbraham talk, a guest said are
the people I dream about reallythere in my dream?
(20:53):
And Abraham's answer was asthey appear in your dream, it is
as you created them to be.
And Abraham's answer was sowe're always creating from our
(21:13):
current perspective, alwaysawake or asleep.
Even things like there was agarage in the dream.
Well, was the garage open?
Did it feel confining?
Why did this take place in agarage?
Just be curious, don't try tofigure it out.
And then, if you come acrossanything, any symbol that was in
(21:35):
your dream that you reallycan't determine, it's probably
not important.
So we extract the message ofthe dream by piecing together
the feelings, the symbol, thevibe, because they're not really
as cryptic as they look.
They may be bizarre, butthey're not really that
difficult to get the informationfrom if we just relax and take
(21:59):
what's there.
So let's take a look at a fewmore of the themes just to make
it a little more clear of howyou can get one short theme that
holds a whole lot ofinformation in it, just like a
picture is worth a thousandwords If you're dreaming of
something like an earthquake ora flood or something that seems
like a disaster that couldrepresent a big turning point in
(22:24):
your life or a big change inyour life, and I would take a
look at what your perception hasbeen about it, because does it
really need to be?
Does it have to go to the pointwhere it's a disaster, or is it
something I can change or makebetter?
Right now?
My dream was probably justtrying to say this is where
you're trending.
This is going to turn into adisaster where it has the
(22:48):
potential to, but it certainlydoesn't have to.
Anything that's directional, like up or down, up or down, up
or down, up and down take thatliterally.
What are you going up and downor back and forth with?
You're going in circles.
If there's something in thedream, I'm just going in circles
.
I'm going here and then backagain, and here and then back
again.
Were you going in circles inyour everyday life.
(23:10):
Sexual dreams are generallyconsidered to be the merging of
the male and female energy partsof you, and if there was
another person in the dream, youtake what that person
represents to you, orrepresented to you just in that
dream, because other peoplegenerally in dreams are some
(23:31):
reflection or aspect of ourself, just as they presented to you,
the feel of them, in that dream.
If you're wearing a costume, orthere's some theme about a
costume, well, what does acostume generally represent?
Right, I want to be differentthan I am, or I'm hiding
something.
I want to just get in thiscostume and not let people see
(23:54):
me.
Or I want to still be in thisworld, but I want to be in this
world behind a facade.
There's so many ways you couldlook at that.
Well, be in this world, but Iwant to be in this world behind
a facade.
There's so many ways you couldlook at that.
Flying, we tend to think offreedom, breaking out of limits,
but again, you always want togo with just this dream right
now.
Falling may represent a loss ofcontrol or the fear of having
(24:19):
no control, because when we'refalling, we do feel like there's
nothing we can do about it.
Dreaming of death most oftendoes not mean anybody's going to
die.
Generally, even in tarot, thedeath card is a card of big
change and there's always ahorizon.
There's always something goodon the other side of it.
It may even mean the changes inyou personally.
(24:42):
If you're being chased in adream, are you putting yourself
through unnecessary pain oranguish, or is somebody else
presenting that in your life?
What are your main worries?
Maybe what do you feel isbiting at your heels?
That they represent yourphysical body, like the vehicle
(25:02):
that you are driving throughthis life in, or the house, the
structure that you arephysically focusing through.
So what's happening to thatvehicle or that house?
Is it positive, negative, youknow?
Does it mean something aboutyour physical body directly If
it doesn't take what you feelLike?
Don't about your physical bodydirectly If it doesn't take what
(25:26):
you feel.
These are not written in stoneby any means.
They're suggestions for whereyou can take your curiosity, but
you always want to go with whatcomes to you.
Not what you figured out, butwhat comes to you.
So if you remember a dream, there is information for you and
I would interpret it as soon aspossible.
Don't overdo it, don't go crazyon the interpretations, but jot
(25:47):
down some main points If youdon't have time to really get
into it when you wake up.
Just jot down some main pointsand come back at it later,
because research tells us thatwithin five minutes after
awakening, half of the dreamcontent is forgotten.
Within 10 minutes, 90% is gone, which is fine.
(26:08):
It's not a big deal becauselife will bring it back around.
You'll be re-informed in yourday time or your sleep time,
because life is always a greatteacher and it just keeps
teaching and guiding and helping.
So some more little tidbitsthat research has drawn
(26:30):
conclusions about is thateverybody dreams.
Simply because you don'tremember your dream doesn't mean
that you didn't dream.
They say dreams areindispensable.
A lack of dream activity canmean protein deficiency or a
personality disorder.
Now keep in mind if you're notremembering your dreams, it
(26:50):
doesn't mean that you're notdreaming.
And actually to not rememberyour dreams is kind of a good
sign, right?
Because whatever you dreamtabout, you figured it out, you
worked it out.
There's nothing that you needto remember about it.
Blind people do dream.
Whether visual images appear intheir dream just depends on if
(27:13):
they were blind at birth or theybecame blind later in life.
But you know, vision isn't theonly sense we have that
constitutes a dream.
So sound and touch and smell, all can play in to the basis of
a dream.
And they say, studies haveshown that our brainwaves are
more active when we're dreamingthan when we're awake.
(27:35):
Which makes perfect sense to mebecause we would be more
connected with our inner being, with non-physical, in the sleep
states than we are in the awakestate.
They say dreamers who awakenright after the REM sleep, the
R-E-M sleep, are able to recalldreams more vividly than those
(27:57):
who sleep all the way throughand then remember their dreams.
So it's good to know, you know, that while you sleep you may be
refreshing your soul self inthe non-physical, or going where
you can be helpful, or simplyhovering not far from the
physical body and sorting outthe stuff of your life, because
(28:18):
we're always up to something, whether we're awake or asleep.
You know sleep is required herebecause we need to check out of
this dense environment every somany hours and we need to check
in with our divineness and ahigher perspective of what's
going on in our waking time.
So I believe that understandingour dreams help us understand
(28:42):
our lives and each other.
So when you interpret yourdreams, have fun with it, take
it easy, go for that overall, feel Like what's that main theme
or that main sense that I getwith the dream, go there before
you go for the symbols.
You'll get so much more out ofit and, like I said, you can
(29:10):
keep a dream journal and jotdown some notes about it.
But I really wouldn't gooverboard with it because we
just don't need to.
Life is always teaching us,life is always guiding us.
So take what you get from yourdream interpretation, appreciate
it and go on with your day.
So I hope you all have sweet, informative dreams.
