When newlywed John returns from his California nuptials, the podcast takes a refreshingly personal turn as Matt recounts his best man experience and the unexpected drama surrounding the wedding's signature cocktail. The "Simply Peach Juice debacle" becomes a running joke throughout the episode, as the hosts describe their frantic day-before search for this elusive ingredient, only to run out during cocktail hour anyway.

What makes this episode particularly enjoyable is how organically it transitions from wedding talk to an impromptu American history quiz session. John reveals he's been tasked with creating Fourth of July trivia for his workplace, and Matt becomes the reluctant guinea pig for testing these questions. Their back-and-forth banter creates both humor and genuine historical insights as they debate the difficulty level and entertainment value of each question.

The trivia section uncovers fascinating Independence Day connections many listeners might not know: Calvin Coolidge was the only U.S. president born on July 4th; Thomas Jefferson and John Adams both died on July 4th, 1826 (exactly 50 years after the Declaration of Independence); and Italian patriot Giuseppe Garibaldi, born on July 4th, 1807, was offered but refused a commission in the Union Army during the Civil War.

Beyond just facts, the episode showcases the hosts' different approaches to making history engaging. John tends toward straightforward questions, while Matt advocates for injecting humor to make the trivia more memorable. Their friendly disagreement about whether questions should be multiple choice or fill-in-the-blank reflects wider debates about history education – should we focus on accessibility or deeper knowledge?

Whether you're planning your own history-themed trivia night or simply enjoy learning American history through casual conversation, this episode delivers both entertainment and education in equal measure. What Fourth of July fact would surprise your friends the most? Let us know and join the historical conversation!

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Hey fans, let's all congratulate the newlywed here.
Mr John, Is there a differentMr for?

Speaker 2 (00:31):
a married man.
No.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
And if it is, it hasn't been in about 100 years,
I'm sure.
Is there something that's a Mrfor somebody who's not married,
like that's a mister forsomebody who's not married, like
there's a miss and missus?
I think it's only mister, likemister, mister, fantastic band
miss.

(00:54):
Is there an equivalent manequivalent to miss versus missus
, the male equivalent of miss, and to Miss versus Mrs?
The male equivalent of Miss andMrs is Mr.
Unlike the feminine titleswhich denote marital status, mr
is used for all men, regardlessof their marital status.

(01:17):
For young boys, master issometimes used, but it is less
common in modern usage.
I think I'm going to go byMaster.
I will do that and next timeyou go to Colonial Williamsburg
you'll be ready Maybe.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
We'll see.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
We actually have an ancillary fan of the podcast
heading to Williamsburg for theweek and I told him to buckle on
up.
He didn't listen to theepisodes, so I don't really know
what he's getting himself into.
Well, just tell him to go earlyin the day, don't fuss around.

(01:55):
I gave him the cliff notes, sowe'll see if that works.
He said he was going to listento it, but can't even.
I mean I say he's an ancillaryfan because I think he's
listened to a couple episodes hethinks it's stupid, I'm pretty

(02:16):
sure.
And I can't even get him tolisten to something that's about
where he's going to be spendinga week coming up.
So that's a pretty bad sign forthat.
Is this a relation of yours, noFriend?

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Yeah, you know, kind of friend you know.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
He's a good friend of mine, not as good of a friend
of yours, mr H, mr H, hmm, mr His going to have himself a week
going down with a couple ofcouples.
Some kids are going to bearound.
I told him it's not gonna befun he's like yeah zh, yeah,

(02:55):
he's, um, he's.
Uh.
He was gonna go to jamestownand I told him like, so I was
like at first I was giving himthe advice that we kind of
settled on where it was like, don't go to the one without an E
, just go to the one with an E,because the one without an E is

(03:16):
just kind of like a bunch ofnitwits run that thing, you know
Right.
But he's going with children.
So if I were to go withchildren, I think I would
probably pick jamestown with noe over jamestown with an e.
But I told him, if I told him,if he goes to jamestown without

(03:38):
an e, to make sure that hefollows, he goes to the museum
first, of course.
That's the pause that I wasgoing to give too.
Yes, I think it would totallychange our perspective.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
I'm still not very optimistic and don't spend so
much time at the state flags.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Yeah, that's a waste.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
What were you saying?
I talked over you.
No, you're fine, I talked overyou.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
What were you saying?
Just watch the little video atthe beginning, get yourself into
the museum part, get out there, check out some boats, check out
some log cabins.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Well, I told him about the Get out of there.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Oh, dude, I got to tell him to stop at the tobacco
fields and take a picture, gotto see how those things are.
I think they'll be knee high byjuly.
Oh, I gotta tell him.
I gotta tell him to stop there.

(04:36):
I um, oh man, I forgot to tellhim about that.
Hopefully he listens, but Idon't think he went.
He's got six hours to listendown there.
So well, he um.
Yeah, I forgot about that.
And when I brought up the boats, I was just telling him about
Jamestown without an E and Isaid, yeah, they have the boats
there like models of the boatsthat they landed there with.
He's like, oh, that's prettycool.

(04:57):
I'm like, yeah, when we werethere they were working on them,
so we couldn't go on them.
That was the first kick in thenuts of multitudes kicking the
nuts that weekend Multiple ofthem.
Definitely tell him.
If he wants to go to House ofBurgesses, do it early.
I told him what I said was justkeep in mind that Peanut soup
can wait.

(05:17):
That's true.
I don't know if I told himabout the peanut soup, but I did
tell him.
I'm sure the fans are reallyexcited to listen to us recap
our most recent episodes.
But I told him that even thoughit says the park is open till 9
, everything closes at 5.
He needs to be aware.

(05:38):
Just check himself before hegets in there.
He's lucky dude.
He's lucky.
He's got a chance.
He's got a chance to have agood time If he feeds our advice
, and that starts by being a fanand listening to this podcast.
If he doesn't do that, well,he's got what's coming to him.
So, anyway, fans, welcome toanother episode of the Nailing

(05:59):
History podcast.
Fresh off of a big old trip toCalifornia.
Big time podcast.
Fresh off of a big old trip tocalifornia.
Um, big time john make hisnuptials, is that what?

Speaker 2 (06:13):
you say lauren with, yes, with a lauren g, now, soon,
well, lauren n lauren.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
And now that you've put my last name on blast did I
when lauren john oh yeah, ohyeah, I can edit that out.
Find me on LinkedIn.
It's my social hey in SutterCreek.
Yeah, it was a good week.
Oh, I did want to give you aheads up so I gave some of our

(06:40):
bigger fans, brian K, andrew Sand Dick Pepperfield.
I was hanging out with them onFriday and they asked me how it
went.
And I was telling a Andrew Sand Dick Pepperfield.
I was hanging out with them onFriday and they asked me how it
went and I was telling them acouple things and they were
laughing.
We were yucking it up.
But the one thing that I'vemade sure to talk about was the
Simply Peach Juice debacle andit was funny.

(07:02):
So, fans, if you don't know, john here and Lauren chose a
signature drink for theirwedding, as most people do.
It was called the Naughty Well,I guess I can't even say what
the name's called, but it wascalled the Naughty N Well.
I can't say that.
That sounds it's California.
We weren't getting married inMississippi.

(07:23):
I mean, come on.
So it was a signature drink.
And what was the signaturedrink?
What did it include?
What was the concoction youguys decided on here?
It included there was analcoholic version and
non-alcoholic version.
Alcoholic version includesSauvignon Blanc, peach juice Yep
, simply peach juice, limeseltzer water and a dash of

(07:48):
something else.
I forget.
It was good I had one, but justto give a recap John here.
So we were.
John was being a diva, myopinion, he was being a diva the
whole week, but Friday camearound.
I had to check out of my room.
I didn't have anywhere to go,so I went over and was hanging
out with John.
I said, hey, man, is thereanything that we really need to
do today to get ready fortomorrow?

(08:10):
So this was Friday, the weddingwas Saturday.
John says oh, yeah, we need topick up peach juice for our
signature the day before.
I said Peach juice.
Okay, where do you get that?
Oh, any grocery store.
So we go around, me and John.
So there were two groups ofpeople running errands so we
were all kind of looking forthis peach juice, simply Peach.

(08:32):
And John and I struck out.
But the other group I thinkthey were able to get seven of
them, eight of them, so six.
But we needed nine Our goal wasnine, I think if we came back to
the house with six and that wasa very low goal, but that's
fine, it does so at the end ofthe day it didn't really matter,
because they ran out of it bythe end of cocktail hour, I'm

(08:54):
pretty sure.
So it's not like if we, it'snot like if we would have gotten
nine.
It would have lasted the wholetime so it didn't really matter
but our fans, but our fans andguests of the wedding, like, say
, fans, because they all, theyall heard about this podcast.
So if any of you were at thewedding, you know that you would
.
If you're a new subscriber, welcome to the show.
Uh, they pivoted, they worked, they thought it was so good, so

(09:18):
refreshing that they went aheadand started using peach white
claws as a replacement for thesimply peach juice.
So you know, our guests, ourfans, are very resourceful like
that and uh, it worked.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
It was a great time, but I?

Speaker 1 (09:33):
the reason I bring that up is I got a text from
fred at the show.
Brian k, he said, got everysimply drink under the sun at
acme, except peach.
To To which I responded becauseI happened to be grocery
shopping at the time.
I said LMAO, same at Wegmans.
Then Brian K said I washoodwinked, it's all I think

(09:55):
about now.
And I said I do want some.
So I was given it and we talkedabout it.
Actually, dick Pepperfield is afan of it already.
He said he just topped it.
He polished off a bottle acouple weeks ago, so he likes
the Simply Peach.
He was shocked that we waiteduntil the day before to look for
it.
It's a little bit hard to find, apparently, but just wanted to
bring that up.

(10:15):
I thought that was funny.
Now, was he drinking this as aresult of you telling him about
it, or was he just dick dickpepperfield?
Yes, oh, just by himself.
He didn't hear about it untilfriday.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Okay, wow, it's good stuff, it's quite good stuff,
but it's only like what 20 realfruit?

Speaker 1 (10:34):
what was this percentage?
It was some ridiculouspercentage oh yeah, I think the
peach one yeah, I think thepeach one is like the only one
that's not 100 juice orsomething anywhere close to 100.
It's like 17 juice.
One that's not 100% juice orsomething Anywhere close to 100%
.
It's like 17% juice.
I think it was like 5% orsomething ridiculous.
It was refreshing, it was good.
Cocktail or drink was a hit andyeah, the whole wedding was a

(10:59):
great, great time.
It was very hot.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Hey John.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
So, yeah, we're not going to go through a whole
recap of the wedding.
Um, as john said, I was thebest man.
He said that before, so I wasstressing about my speech, which
I did pretty well.
It's funny, every single speechthat was made, um, so the um,
what do you?
The officiant of the wedding?

(11:24):
I guess you could say Yep, sheshe gave a speech like as part
of the service.
The service and what I said isher speech was very good and so
the whole time I was standing upat the altar the whole time.
I'm like she's doing way betterthan me.
This stinks Like alreadygetting outshined at the

(11:47):
beginning.
I'm like I'm not going to beable to follow this up.
It was a good speech and aspart of the vows that she had
you guys read, I believe she gotLaurenN LaurenNowN to agree to
always support the podcast.
I do think I heard that.

(12:11):
Yes, so that's legally binding.
That's the state of california,at least, for sure.
So.
So if she doesn't, you can getan annulment.
Could you imagine the contract?

Speaker 2 (12:23):
states.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Cause for divorce, doesn't support my pocket, won't
let me live my dreams, but shewould never not support it, of
course.
Well, she doesn't listen to itby any stretch of the
imagination.
Let's just call it what it is.
But I will say she's veryencouraging and always asked hey
, are you potting this weekend?
Hey, are you potting thisweekend?

(12:46):
Hey, are you potting thisweekend?
And she upgraded her internet,Did the upgrade, as we know and
as you said during the speech, which she was not thrilled to
hear she wasn't, no, I mean shelaughed.
She laughed it over.
You think she was mad that Isaid about the internet.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Not mad.
Is that something you didn'twant?

Speaker 1 (13:07):
people to know about, kind of take on, you know, kind
of beating the dead horse, kindof thing, I guess you know we
sort of said, hey, it's badSeven or eight months ago, but
it did take us long enough tofinally fix it.
But as soon as we fixed it it'sbeen pretty good.
But yeah, so the officiantshouted out the podcast.

(13:28):
Lauren's sister, who was themaid of honor, shouted out the
podcast.
I forget exactly what her shoutout was, but I do remember she
mentioned it and then I justshouted it out through my speech
.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Continuously.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
We're just running out of podcasts.
We haven't been even puttingout remotely it was.
It was a giant plug for thepodcast.
That's what I took it as howmany people were there?
145, something like that.
So 145 people heard about ourpodcast three times at one
wedding and we got.
So I'm like, oh man, we're atleast going to have to get 30

(14:09):
downloads, like this upcomingweek at least.
I think we got eight that perepisode, or just an overall,
just overall.
Oh geez, I thought there wasgonna be someone who were gonna
just like you know, get a hookline and sink and they were
going to download all 38episodes.
Yeah, I feel like it's not agreat sign.

(14:29):
Here.
People are encouraging.
You don't want to bringanything down.
I mean, I think the positivitywas there.
I think there was a lot of goodbuzz in the air.
I think people were having funwith it.
I will say a little update onthe podcast demographics.
I got an email here from thiscompany called PodSEO or Podseo,

(14:53):
I'm not sure this is what itsays.
Hi there, when listeners searchfor Spanish democracy on Apple
Podcasts or Spotify, nailingHistory appears as result 7.
But did you know?
It's also result number 18 forhistory enthusiasts and result
number 63 for peculiar histories.
So that's from Andrea DeMarcy, founder pod CEO, spanish.

(15:18):
I don't know how.
How would Spanish democracy be?
Did we ever talk?

Speaker 2 (15:23):
about this.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
We did talk about this we did talk about.
We had that episode aboutChristopher Columbus, the
Spanish.
Were we ever talking, wasn't itthis week in this history,
about the Spanish Civil War?
Am I just?
I think you're just Projecting, making something up I think so,
but yeah, so we got ourdemographics down.
I like that Number 18 forhistory enthusiasts.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
I can't believe we only have three downloads an
episode.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Well, hey, also it almost sounds like they might be
lying just to get us to paythem money for their service.
But hey, who's to?
So we don't really have muchplanned for this episode, we
wanted to just get on.
I surprised John on recordinghere.
He wanted to just kind of do a,I guess, a plan for the summer.
You know, a to-do list for thesummer?

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Try to get a A to-do list.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
Yeah, try to get a what would you call it?
A rubric or a syllabus?
Yeah, I guess so.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
For the summer.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
But I don't want to do that necessarily.
I wanted to get on the airwavesand, um, what really got me
thinking like, hey, why don't werecord this is, john, what have
you been working on all weekend?
Well, fans, I, as some of youmay know, I've started a
relatively new job over half ayear now but I volunteered to

(16:47):
help throw a 4th of July triviaJuly.
Don't act like you're notexcited about this.
You're such a joke.
Oh, I volunteered, I was part ofthis cultural committee and we

(17:08):
have a culture week every yearat the end of june and it kind
of wraps up.
I think this fourth of julytrivia is the big.
It's the big shebang.
It's the kind of the you know, the final firework, as you may
say, to round off culture week.
At my, at my work, thepressure's on and I literally
just attended my very firstmeeting like a month ago and
they were like, uh, hey, we needsome ideas for July and we

(17:28):
normally do a trivia.
And I'm like, oh, that could beinteresting.
And they're like, can you runit?
And I'm like, okay, sure, whynot?
So I don't really know what I'mgetting into.
I've been making these slidesall day and a little bit of chat
GPT, a little bit of MicrosoftCopilot.
I'll be honest.
I'll be honest Help frame whatI want to do.

(17:50):
And yeah, I think what we'regoing to do here is Matt's going
to be my guinea pig.
I already ran these by Lauren Gand her sister and I got some
feedback, but I think Matt'sgoing to tell us the mystery,
get the fans' feedback.
dude Get the fans' feedback.
Yeah, we got a week.
We got a week, dick Peep.

(18:13):
Mr Pepperfield, we need you tobe on top of it.
We haven't had a message in awhile.
Well, technically, thesequestions.
Also no messages from any ofthe wedding guests, big new fans
, okay, big.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
No messages from any of the wedding guests.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
Big new fans.
Okay, big new fans, where youat, come on.
But technically the superiorswill have to approve these
questions anyway.
But I think we'll be in theclear.
I don't think there's anythingthat's going to get flagged.
Yeah, I'll be the judge of that.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
We'll just see.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
Let's go All right.
So anyone who were Any ofJohn's coworkers who he hasn't
told about the podcast yet andjust happened to be stuck, do
you want to say where you work?
So they if maybe there'slisteners, they don't recognize
your voice.
You want to let them know?
Don't think I should?
Okay, well if you work in thelet's just do it this way If you
work in Baltimore City, stoplistening to the podcast.

(19:02):
Good call Flat out, just turnoff the.
Your power's probably cut offanyway.
If you live in Baltimore City, anyway, power's probably gone
out.
What's that supposed to mean?
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
It's a safe, can't pay their bills.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
Very safe and pleasant town, love it.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
Every minute of it, yikes.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
Anyway, it's a chill place.
A lot of history, pratt streetI suggested to my some of my
co-workers doing a walk down, like a historical walk kind of
thing.
But we'll see what shakes out.
But anyway, moving on.
So how's it?
So let's, let's just get downto it.
Um, let's try to speed throughit a little bit for the fans, so

(19:41):
they aren't you know.
I got 33 questions for you.
How is it broken out In roundsor how do you?
have the scoring figured outWell, I had it.
Is this a Jeopardy style?
No, it's just a matter ofmultiple choice mixed in with
some type in the answer.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
Multiple choice.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
Yeah, I have to be cognizant of different people at
my work and some of thesequestions if I like the numbers
based ones are multiple choice, primarily so that people aren't
taking guesses at random numbersand getting nowhere near it.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
excuse me, so you could just say who's the closest
, but okay, whatever.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
Yeah, but I'm trying to use the software.
They want me to use thesoftware where, uh, I can
present and like share my screenin a presentation room and then
, like anyone who's working fromhome can also participate by
just logging into the site ontheir phone and all the answers
are just tallied up there and itkind of does all the work for
you.
Long story short, I put effortinto it, but I didn't want to

(20:46):
put that much effort into it, soI put effort into the questions
in terms of how I actually wentahead and made those.
So how is it?
So?
Is it just one round and like ascore?
Is that?

Speaker 2 (20:57):
it, or is there?
Well, what I've got?

Speaker 1 (20:59):
I have.
Yeah, I kind of broke it offinto three rounds.
The categories are Three roundsof 11 questions, each
Interesting.
It's just what it came out to.
So there were kind of threedifferent rounds Food, fireworks
and festivities this isco-pilot talking here.
Food, fireworks and festivitiesBorn and died in the USA, and

(21:24):
then stars, stripes and andindependence.
So the first category the first, like 11 questions are kind of
more like pop culture relatedand festivities and food and all
that stuff.
Uh born and died in is likethings that happened on july 4th
throughout this board and dieyeah I'm not actually going to

(21:45):
say these categories during thepresentation because again, the
software I'm using isn't lettingme kind of give categories to
these.
But anyway, and then Stars andStripes is a kind of more
history, although a lot of themare mostly history, but you'll
see, nothing too crazy I thinkyou should do very well, if you
don't get north of 90%, I'll bea little embarrassed for you.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
I'm going out on a limb.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
If I do bad, I guess I just won't publish the episode
.
You need 29 questions to pass.
I thought it was 33.
Oh okay, you need 29, right, all right, here we go.
Oh okay, 29, right, all right, here we go.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
All right everybody.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
Welcome to the Nailing History Trivia.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
Fourth of July edition Fourth of July.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
All right, matt, are you ready to go?
Yep, first question how manyhot dogs?
It's multiple choice.
Dogs, it's multiple choice.
This one's multiple choice.
How many hot dogs on averageare consumed on the 4th of july
each year?
50 million, 150 million, 500million, 300 million.

(22:59):
How many people live in the US?
330, roughly Million Million.
So 50 million, 100 million, 50million, 150 million, 300
million, 500 million.

(23:19):
I'm going to say 150 million.
That is correct.
What?
Alright, that's one for you.
Are you tallying this?
Are you keeping an honestrunning score?
Uh, yeah, alright.
Which city is famous forhosting the Nathan's hot dog
eating contest every 4th of July?

(23:42):
This is a fill in the blank.
Um contest every 4th of July?
This is a fill in the blank.
Well, it's not a blank Um.
Does New York City count as theanswer?
Yes, okay, let me Google that.
Yes, it is yeah, okay, becausewhat's the it's?

Speaker 2 (24:08):
Why can't I?

Speaker 1 (24:09):
think of, yeah, coney Island, but you would take New
York City.
Well, because, yeah, ConeyIsland's not a city and Coney
Island is part of New York City.
Yeah, because, yeah, coneyIsland's not a city and Coney
Island is part of New York City.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you mightwant to say what area of New
York City Like, make the answerConey Island, not New York City.
That would be a better question.

(24:30):
Okay, so what are you saying Ishould do?
Which, like, isn't it like anamusement park?

Speaker 2 (24:40):
considered or or vacation or like beach.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
It's a beach.
What beach?
What new york city beach hoststhe nathan's hot dog eating
contest.
Okay, I feel like that would bea better question.
City Question the beach isfamous for hosting Coney Island.
It's a beach in Brooklyn, soyou could also well whatever

(25:07):
Okay.
That's all right.
All right, let's go.
I'm going to keep it as NewYork.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
Why?
Because?

Speaker 1 (25:14):
people aren't going to know that.
Wait, you're going to keep theanswer being new york.

I was thinking I should notmake this one multiple choice,

(44:42):
but near seemed to 1776.
What do you think should I?
it's like the date that anyonethrows around well, I honestly
think that throwing 1775 inthere makes it a more
complicated question, kind ofBecause the war started in 1775,

(45:08):
kind of.
Yeah, so it makes it a littlebit more complicated.
It adds a little bit.
It adds more to it.
If you have that, having thechoices makes it a little bit
more.
It adds a little bit.
It adds more to it, if you havethat.

Speaker 2 (45:16):
Having.
The choices makes it a littlebit.

Speaker 1 (45:18):
If you're going to have the choices in 1775 is one
of the choices that makes it alittle bit more challenging.
I think so, okay, cool.
No multiple choice.

?
Tommy Jay, that's right, ourboy.
What do the 13 stripes of theamerican flag represent?

You're just very inconsistentwith the difficulty that you
want to make this thing, I think.
But it's fine.
Well, that's why I need help.
I need help.
So what should?

(48:18):
So that should be multiplechoice.
Do I need a?

Speaker 2 (48:21):
hard and fast.

Speaker 1 (48:21):
I, I feel like probably Only numbers, like only
the years and numbers getmultiple choices and everything
else you have to type in.
I don't know.
I'll have to re-listen to theepisode and give you my feedback
, which founding father fromVirginia famously said give me
liberty or give me death, notmultiple choice.
That's a tough, not multiplechoice one.

(48:44):
Well, half these kids areamerican educated.

that, oh, no one's gonna getthis one right but that's where
you're separating, that's whereI'm separating the uh, it's
fourth of July.

Yeah and no, it's fine, it'sbland, it's bland, it's just

(53:49):
your, your typical chat, gpt, written trivia, I'm sure, which
is fine.
Um, you know, just a matter ofhow you present it.
I guess would be, you know it'sgood well, I'm presenting it on
this no one's gonna say no one'sgonna say you did a bad job.
An opportunity for you to plugthe show.
Maybe I'll try, like uh, makeit a question be like what

(54:18):
podcast started?

Speaker 2 (54:19):
as your head starring , your host, starting, yeah by
your host.

Speaker 1 (54:24):
You could just like not say you do it, just you know
, just say like which podcastthat started in.
Which hit podcast which hitpodcast started in 2024 ranked
the founding fathers using adeck of playing cards.
You could be like we're notaware that it had already

(54:48):
existed.
You could be like HistoryNinjas.
History Ninjas the NailingHistory Podcast, chuck Senti's
Brigade yeah, that would be agood one.
And then just don't, even, don't even say anything.
And then, like, everyone getsit wrong, like, I guess, no, I
thought everyone listened tothat podcast.

(55:10):
Boom, it's easy as that, it'seasy as that no, they just what
you do, these things publicspeaking, getting getting up
presentation skills, I mean, yeah, we'll just see how it all
goes.
Though You're not good at that,I think I'll be fine.

(55:33):
Yeah, it's a little dry, but Ithink we'll be fine.

Speaker 2 (55:40):
Are you going?

Speaker 1 (55:40):
to wear?
Are you going to wear a suit?
Are you a game show host?
Yeah, I should be wearing likea 4th of July tie.
At minimum, you should dresslike Will Ferrell in that SNL
bit when he comes in to work.

(56:02):
I don't know if that was forthe 4th of July, but it was for
like it might have been.
It was like Memorial Day orsomething.
He came in dressed like he hadsome Speedo on or something.
Oh yeah, with the crop top.

(56:22):
It really would.
It would.
That would be awesome if youshowed up like that dude.
It really would.
That would make up for how drythe trivia was.
I truly think my suggestion ofmaking one of the answers funny
could be fun for a couple ofthem.
Okay, so for the multiplechoice ones, obviously, yeah, I

(56:49):
think you might be able to.

too.

(58:17):
wearing a speedo that theywouldn't know about.
That obviously they might not,I know it's dry.
I know it's dry, but I think Ijust gotta like let my
personality come through andjust I'll try to just get the
crowd.

Speaker 2 (58:31):
Yeah, that works.

Speaker 1 (58:32):
Yeah, do a little crowd do a little crowd work.

I think you're right.
Which US?

(58:53):
president was born on the 4th ofJuly.
Okay, fine, it's CalvinCoolidge, but what were the
other three?
Well, that wouldn't be one thatyou would make as being funny,
unless you mean it's somethingridiculous Like a not real
president.
That you would make as beingfunny unless you mean it's
something ridiculous like what'sthe name?
Like a, like a not realpresident, like I don't even

(59:13):
