Kwanza Osajyefo and Sarah Litt in conversation with Josh Sippie about crafting the story of Black, building it into an entire universe, and planning the future of the series.
Kwanza Osajyefo is the creator and author of BLACK, a story that asks, "What if black people had superpowers?" He's worked in comics for nearly two decades and began his career in Marvel's online department before moving into other media roles. Kwanza later returned to comics to launch DC Comics' web imprint and digital publishing initiatives. Aside from his own projects, Kwanza is a creative architect of Humanoids' H1 Comics line. He helped create their flagship titles, Ignited, Omni, and Strangelands and co-wrote Ignited with comics legend Mark Waid.
Sarah Litt is an editor-at-large for Ahoy comics, the Editor and Producer of Black the comic, and a Career editor with a host of critically-acclaimed graphic novels on her resume. Previously she has worked at Dynamite Entertainment and DC Comics. She brings a sharp expertise on sequential art storytelling and end-to-end comics production.
