Seriously, Sean, thank you for having me.
No, honestly, I've been waiting years for this moment just so I
can thank you for Joyride. Oh, thank you for loving it.
Oh, you brought that rare raunchy radar comedy that the
world needed and we need more ofthat.

And but your new movie Bright Heart is a wild 1, so like,
you're on it. Yes, honey, I'm so lucky to be
able to express through my craftand be unapologetic and like
prove that women are multi dimensional and we will say
things that will prove people wrong and will shock you and
that's OK. You better get used to it.

(00:42):
You know what I'm saying? I think with all of my
identities, you know, being an immigrant, being Chinese
American, being queer, I think women have also been, you know,
trying to use their voices in a time where, you know, society is
rooting against it. So this is going to be very
refreshing because it's women just kicking ass and being

hilarious. Yeah, tons of action, tons of
humor, secret agents, weddings, bridesmaids.
This movie balances action and comedy so well.
What was tougher for you though?Trying to not break during the
chaos or staying serious? And some of those over the top
moments. I had so much chemistry with
Rebel Wilson and I can't wait towork together again.

(01:25):
Like, we really operate the same, like just even in our
riffs and making sure what the best version of the scene is,
you know? I can't wait for everyone to see
just all of us like this entire ensemble of badass women be so
brilliant and talented and also pull off these action scenes
because you can't put us in a genre, honey.

(01:47):
You can't put us in a box, you know, And for Nadine to pop up,
it kind of be that like tough love on the secret agent side.
It was just so fun for me because, you know, I have my my,
you know, like party girl side, but I also have my type A side,
you know, that I get to express through this film.
Yeah, and I love that Simon W directed this film.

(02:09):
I mean, he's known for so much great stuff from Conair to Laura
Croft's Tomb Raider, and it's somuch more so like, he was like
the perfect guy to kind of get this ensemble together for great
action and great comedy. But since this movie is
basically a wedding gone completely off the rails, what's
the craziest or funniest weddingstory you've personally
witnessed or been part of? Oh my God, you know, if I can't

(02:30):
even remember half of it, 'causeI'm over here, you know, on my
maid of honor duty. I actually was just a maid of
honor weeks before we filmed this.
So I had that wedding energy still just in my breath, you
know what I'm saying? And it's so cool to just
celebrate women. I was just saying that like a
wedding is essentially women coming together, celebrating

friendship and, you know, kind of toasting their bestie into
the next chapter of their lives.You know?
So I mean, I'm trying to think like, I've been to a lot of
weddings. Oh something that happened at a
wedding that I went to like 3 years ago right after catching
the bouquet with my girlfriend. We went on that photo op thing,

you know, with the camera whipping the. 360, yeah. 360 we
were there. It was super cute.
We were doing our thing and I hopped off before it stopped
whipping. It almost knocked me out and a
swift as an athletic cat, I liftmy leg and saved myself, but we

have it on camera in slow MO andit's so funny and it went viral
because I posted on TikTok. It has like 11 million views of
me almost getting wiped out by this 360 camera.
So that's something that was dangerous to happen at morning.
I have to grab that video, put it in this interview and also
put it in where this article is going as well to accommodate

(03:53):

Me and my wife watched it last night and obviously aimed
towards her but I also found myself enjoying it like crazy
because the cast is amazing, theaction's great and the comedy is
there. So definitely looking forward to
