The daily life of Jesus was always focused on serving His purpose of saving the lost in every city with the gospel of the kingdom of God. He would prove that He was the Son of God by healing sicknesses and casting out demons. On this occasion, Jesus heals Simon's mother-in-law of a fever, and it does not gradually come down as if you took medication, but it leaves her body. She demonstrates the proper response by immediately serving the Lord. Jesus healed many others of various illnesses and demon possession late into the night, only to continue that work once the day dawned. Let us be diligent in fulfilling God's purpose for our lives by following in His steps.
