אפקט רשת הוא מונח לתופעה שבה ככל שיש יותר משתמשים במוצר, הערך של כלל המשתמשים במוצר גדל, כלומר יש קשר - או רשת - של השפעה בין המשתמשים.
במקביל להתפתחויות הטכנולוגיות של רשתות, קמו טכנולוגים ותיאורטיקנים שניסו לכמת את הערך שרשתות אלו מציעות. את הנוסחאות לחישוב הערך הם הגדירו כ"חוקים" ובפרק זה נסקור את חוק סרנוף, חוק מטקלף וחוק ריד.
