Information without application doesn't equal transformation with Ray Thigpen
Bio
My name is Ray Thigpen. I am 65 years old. I am a Navy Veteran, retired tech support engineer, IPTPA Certified Pickleball Instructor, and serial entrepreneur.
My wife and I retired in 2021, sold our house and everything in it, moved into our RV, and traveled the country for a couple of years. That’s when I was introduced to pickleball and fell in love with it and the community that comes with it. Last year I became a certified instructor and didn’t realize until I started teaching how much I actually enjoy that. Watching a student’s eyes light up when they finally get a concept is the most rewarding.
I first heard about network marketing while I was home on leave from the Navy in 1980. My sister and her husband insisted everyone get together at Mom and Dad’s house at 7:00 PM on a Tuesday evening. They brought some guy over in a suit to demonstrate soap products. When he started drawing circles on a whiteboard and telling us how we could make money inviting friends and relatives to join us in business, I was hooked! I recruited a couple of my Navy buddies just before I shipped out to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Of course, I couldn’t do the business there, so that ended my first business.
Over the years I joined many other network marketing businesses with varying degrees of success. I never made any real money, even though I rubbed shoulders with some very wealthy individuals in a couple of them. It wasn’t until recently that I discovered why I never had any real financial success.
I was introduced to a new company just a couple of months ago by a pickleball player I had just started following online. Once I saw it, I decided I was “all in”. That is the one decision I never made in any of my past businesses. That, together with my newly discovered passion for teaching (from pickleball), is helping me to build an international team of like-minded entrepreneurs in a way I never thought possible before.
