Truth be told I never wanted to be an entrepreneur. I had to provide a way for my son and I when we didn't have anything. I got to the point that If no one was willing to hire me, I had to wonder what is more fulfilling than creating something of your own? It’s a beautiful journey and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. But with every great adventure comes its fair share of hardships.
I've never stopped working on my vision and dreams for my business, even on days off. On one hand, vacations are meant to be a chance to relax and rejuvenate, but in the back of my mind, I know that there's still much more work to do at home so that everything runs smoothly while I'm away.
After multiple burnout episodes, I realized this does not mean that U cannot take the necessary breaks U need in order to stay energized and motivated. In fact, it's essential for us entrepreneurs to take these breaks in order to recharge our batteries. Doing so allows us to be more creative and innovative with our businesses when we come back.
So I'm taking my third vacation in 10 years which isn't something to brag about; but it is a reminder of how important it is for me to let go every now and then and dedicate time solely for myself. Something that will help my business become even more successful by giving me the opportunity to step away from the daily tasks at hand and focus on the larger picture.
I am a firm believer that your dreams are worth fighting for, no matter what obstacles come our way! Believe in yourself, your vision and never give up!
There is still so much more for me to achieve, but right now it's about taking care of myself so I can be ready for all the challenges ahead and so do U. Let’s go! 💪🏽 🚀 🔥 😎
