Rachel (00:00):
On this episode of New Paradigm Human.
We're talking about howgenerators and MGs can tackle
things they don't want to do.
Hello everybody, i'm justsitting here on a rather hot

(00:33):
evening, feeling completelyoverwhelmed by all of the social
media, all of the differentways you can express yourself
and yet, at the same time, feeling like I don't know how to
express myself anymore.
Every single social mediaplatform is trying to have every
single feature of all of theother ones, and I just

(00:55):
personally feel overcapacity.
For me, the past few months, sharing things on social media
has felt a little bit like Ishould.
It's something that hasn't beenjoyful in my life and that is
not the way it has been for mefor the past four years.
I love sharing things on socialmedia.
It's really fun to create forthat and test ideas and connect
with people, but I'm just notfeeling that way right now and

(01:17):
it's something that's reallybeen draining to think about.
I'm thinking a lot about it,like, oh, i should be doing this
, i should be doing that, whichgot me thinking about a request
I had recently from someonewhich was to talk about how to
tackle things that you don'twant to do, and I don't think
that this person specificallywas talking about this type of
scenario, but this is very realfor generators and MGs and I

(01:39):
think the common thread for whatI've been experiencing and
perhaps what this person istalking about, which is just
getting things done that aren'tfun, that are chores that just
have to be done as part of life,is that the biggest strain they
put on us is mentally, thethinking about doing them, the
dreading them, theprocrastinating, the putting it
off, the bargaining withyourself about not doing it or

(02:00):
doing it or whatever, And thisis just so real.
This is something that weexperience.
So I wanted to demystify this alittle bit because I think
there are ways to deal withthese things in life in
alignment with our generator MGdesign.
I also want to say that I don'tknow that there's ever going to
be a life where we don't have atleast a couple of things that
we do that we don't really enjoy.

(02:21):
That's just kind of life, butyou can also get to a place
where it's not all consuming andI feel like I am at that place
in my life.
I feel like I enjoy like 99% ofwhat I do with my time and
energy.
I don't find myself overlyfixating or draining a lot of
energy into things I don't like.
It took a long time to getthere.

(02:43):
Even when I started my businessand I had full freedom over my
time and energy, it was hard toknow what felt good and what
didn't.
For me as a third line profile,it just took a lot of
experimentation.
But about four years in I feellike I have a pretty good
understanding of what that is,And it's always evolving.
But it's easier to stay awayfrom the things that don't feel

(03:03):
good now than it was before Andhonestly, i feel so energized by
all the things that I do thatdo feel good that doing that
tiny little percentage of thingsthat aren't my favorite I can
handle it because I'm overalljust nourished and energized by
everything else And it's not allthat draining to just take care
of a few little things here andthere.

(03:23):
In this episode I'm also goingto touch on a bunch of different
topics that I've covered in therecent glow up programs and are
coming up a lot in the discord.
By the end of July I will havecovered like seven different
sort of modules in the discordgroups and the different things
I've launched there, and I amworking on putting all of this

(03:44):
together in a space, some kindof digital space, where you can
choose to partake in thesedifferent deconditioning modules
and information and exercises, and I don't fully know what
that's going to look like yet,but it's beginning to come
together.
I feel a lot of differentresponses And I'm just kind of
waiting for some things to clickin place.

(04:05):
So if you're interested in that, make sure you're on my email
list.
I'll have a link in thedescription below, or you can go
to peergeneratorscom, becausethat is the center of how I
communicate with people rightnow.
As I said, having somecomplicated thoughts about
social media, i love our emaillist.
It's so nice to have a directway to connect with everybody.
There's over 7000 people there,so I always try to really

(04:28):
create meaningful things andpeople love opening up the email
.
So, yeah, link below.
But anyway, i wanted to justdemystify this idea of how do
you tackle things that you don'twant to do and just ask a few
questions that you can askyourself.
Talk about the energetics ofhow this works for us as people
with defined sake rolls, andhopefully it'll give you some

(04:49):
ideas for how to handle thesethings in your life.
So I think there's a fewdifferent scenarios where you
can end up with tasks or thingsin your life that you have to do
that don't feel good or feeldraining.
Like I started to say before, iam not of the opinion that being
a generator or MG is a 24 sevenbliss fest.

(05:11):
That just kind of not the pointof the whole thing.
The sacred is a place ofconsistent pleasure, yes, but
it's also just satisfaction.
Pleasure is obviously kind ofsexy, but satisfaction is kind
of like not that sexy.
There's just something verylike settled in matter of fact
and nice about it.
It's not like extreme highs orextreme lows.

(05:32):
You can find really mundanethings fully satisfying.
I found a lot of mundane thingssatisfying for many years in my
last career And honestly, as agenerator that kept me going,
like my spreadsheets andcrafting the perfect email,
completing tasks in my projectmanagement system.
None of those things were likedeeply pleasurable, but the

(05:53):
satisfaction of doing thosethings was meaningful as a
sacred being a generator or MG.
So it's important to rememberthat there's that side of being
a generator to.
It's not about having thisextreme pleasure and joy all the
time.
It's about those things thatjust make you feel that good,
tired at the end of the day, that kind of settle your energy.

(06:15):
If it weren't the case, i justdon't think the human race would
have continued, because thevast majority of human beings
have been birthed throughgenerators and manifesting
generators.
Just simply because we are 70%of the population, so most
people have been raised by agenerator or manifesting
generator, and same thing withall the animals and the things

(06:37):
we built, and not every momentof that is deeply joyous, but
overall the project issatisfying.
So that's just one thing tothink about, but mostly people
are thinking about chores likehouse chores, taking out the
garbage, cleaning, maybe runningerrands, making sure that you

(06:58):
have healthy food every day.
That's not always the most funthing, although sometimes it is
fun.
Managing your finances so thatyou are in as good of financial
health as possible These are allthings that I personally find
not that fun and a little bitunsexy.
It could also be tasks that youhave to do at a job because
they pay you and it's part ofyour job description.

(07:19):
It could be exercise.
So those are the types ofthings that people are typically
thinking about when they'rethinking about how do I get
things done in my life that Ijust don't really enjoy.
So here are some things to askyourself when one of these tasks
is appearing in your life.
The first thing is do youactually need to do that thing?

(07:39):
I don't know about you, but Ipersonally will add things to my
to-do list that maybe I shoulddo them.
There's something that probablyneeds to be done in the future.
There's something that mightmake my life better in the
present or would be a good thingto get started on.

(08:00):
You know, you have this bigthing at the end of the month
that you have to do for work, but it's like three weeks away
and you just don't have theenergy to do it right now.
Or, like me, for the last fewmonths, i have a specialist
doctor that I should really gosee for like a chronic health
issue.
But the health issue is not atall life threatening, it's just
more of a comfort thing and Ijust haven't had any problems

(08:23):
with it lately.
So I add that to my to-do listevery week and then don't do it
and then stress about it andthen add it to the next week.
So things like that it's.
Is this actually something thatI actually need to do?
Like you will kind of know, isthere a deadline?
Are you going to have to pay afine?
Are you going to get fired fromyour job?
Is someone going to die?

(08:45):
Is it going to have a massivenegative repercussion on your
life or someone else's life?
In that case, i think mostpeople don't have a problem
motivating themselves.
That's a clear yes.
You have to do it.
You probably get the energy Youmove forward.
But a lot of times the thingsthat we think we need to do,
that we're shifting on our to-dolist from week to week to week

(09:05):
to week.
Maybe they just don't actuallyhave to be done or they don't
have to be done right now.
We don't want to put ourselvesin positions where we're going
to create like massive stress orlike a more poor quality
product in the end.
But if it's something like Idon't know for me, for my
quarterly taxes that I pay frommy business, ideally, yeah, i

(09:29):
would sit down every single weekand categorize the transactions
, but honestly, if I do thatonce every two weeks or once a
month, it's really not that muchbigger of a difference, because
I have other systems that allowme to kind of know what money
to put away for savings just byeyeballing a spreadsheet that
calculates automatically, and Isave all my receipts in a folder

(09:52):
, so when I like, as they comeinto my email, so when I
actually sit down to categorizeall the transactions in my tax
software.
Those other two things thatreally are important, that are
going to set me back a lot oftime or make it so that I don't
have the right money saved, which obviously that will have
big repercussions in the endthose things are taking care of.

(10:12):
So I don't need to be addingthat task of categorizing all my
tax stuff every single week, like I used to, which then I
would just not do it or feel badabout it, because I don't
actually need to do that.
It's okay if I do it much lessfrequently.
So that's question number oneDoes this truly need to be done
or is this a should?
The second question is can yououtsource it?

(10:33):
Can you pay someone to takecare of it for you?
Can you trade with somebodyelse to do that task?
Is it something that yourpartner or someone else in your
family can do?
Is it something you could tradewith a friend or an
acquaintance who also does thatthing?
Can you find a way to automateit or get a software or
something that could help do itfor you.

(10:54):
So just basically looking atthe process, seeing what the
steps are and seeing if there'sany way around you doing them in
exactly the way that you'redoing them right now, that could
shift it to something thatactually feels quite good for
your energy or leads to you nothaving to do it at all.
And so maybe that's the nextpoint is is there a way to do

(11:14):
this differently?
What are some ways that otherpeople are doing it?
You can pull your network, especially if you're a fourth
line, ask around to some friendsand family like how are they
getting this thing done?
Does anybody else see somethingthat you don't see?
Like that would be a goodquestion if you're a second line
.
If you're a third line, can yougo try some different things.
If you're a first line, couldyou seek out some other options.

(11:35):
If you're a sixth line, couldyou look out at the people
around you and be like what arethey doing?
If you're a fifth line, you'reprobably quite good with
solutions and you can draw onyour other line to kind of help
you source that information inthose possibilities.
So it's a bit of a mindsetshift, which is that, while, yes
, we may have tasks here andthere throughout our lives that

(11:55):
we don't love, we can let go ofthe belief that there will
always be these things that wejust have to hate, because at
least I'm of the opinion andthis is based on my own
experience and seeing thisactually be true in the world
that there are different ways todo things and there are always
ways to make things work for us.
This is a bit of an affirmationand belief that I have

(12:16):
instilled into my life, which isthere's always a way to make
this work with my energy.
So, outsourcing, doing itdifferently really good
strategies for something thatyou really don't enjoy.
Another question you can ask foryourself is can you set up some
structure and outsideaccountability?
This is so key.
It's key if you have anundefined heart.

(12:37):
Even if you have a definedheart, you may also thrive from
this by making some kind ofexternal commitment or a promise
to somebody else or making acommitment to yourself, but
basically formalizing the ideaof where and when and how you're
going to do something.
And if you're someone who has ahard time with that internal
motivation, as most of us do,can you set up some external

(13:00):
accountability or structure tohelp you do it.
For instance, i would not bewalking four to five miles a day
if I did not have a dog.
It just didn't happen in mylife Ever since I got my dog
this winter, even when I don'twant to, even when I'm really
tired and it just doesn't feelgood and it's hot and it's just
not what I want to do, i stillfind a way to take him on a walk

(13:21):
twice a day for a total of 80minutes or more of walking.
I'm really grateful that I havethis built into my life now.
It's just not something I haveto waste mental energy on.
I just do it because I have to,because he needs to walk, and
he's annoying and crazy andunhappy if he doesn't get it.
It could be setting up like afriend date to go do that thing
with that person.
I also know that, like myhusband and I, there are certain

(13:44):
things house projects wherewe're just not gonna do them
separately.
We have a tendency to sometimesfinish things to like 90%, but
we won't finish that final 10%unless we both agree and show up
together and hold each otheraccountable.
So having that structure, thatkind of forces you to get
something done can feel notamazing in the moment, but the

(14:06):
satisfaction of just having itdone and removing it from your
mental load goes so far asGenerators and MGs.
We just want to be in our mindslike as the least we can when
thinking about where to put ourenergy.
We can use our minds for allsorts of other things, for
daydreaming and analyzing andobserving and basically taking

(14:26):
in the world.
But using it for figuring outlike how and when and what we're
going to do, and, oh gosh, that's when things just get
really draining.
So the more you can just builda task into your day in a way
where it has to happen, you haveto show up, that is just so
helpful.
Another question is can youoffset it with something fun?

(14:47):
Like I said before, generallyif you are enjoying the vast
majority of the things thatyou're doing in your life, it's
much easier to take these thingson.
When I was working full time ina job that was very draining
for me, certain things likecleaning or errands or just
those little administrativetasks of life felt almost

(15:09):
impossible.
But now that I love the workthat I do and I'm enjoying
myself most of the time, thoseare just small things, and while
sometimes I do need to employthese other strategies, like
outsourcing or creatingstructure and accountability,
sometimes the energy andenjoyment and satisfaction of

(15:30):
all the other things in my lifecan carry me through the not so
fun thing.
So sometimes you comparesomething really fun or just
make sure to maximize thesatisfying and energizing tasks
that you're doing in your lifeAnd you'll find that that energy
spills over into these thingsthat may not be the most
enjoyable.
A copy out to all of this isthat if you are just severely

(15:54):
drained in like every area ofyour life, if you're dedicating
all of your energy to a job orproject that is just not in
alignment with your energy, you're not getting any
satisfaction out of it.
I have 100% been there And thereality is that that's just not
going to be sustainable in thelong term.
So even if you can't make achange in that area of your life

(16:17):
today or tomorrow, that's okayAnd that's, i think, where the
mind gets really caught up isthat if that change isn't
obvious in the moment, you canstart to feel like everything is
futile.
The mind just doesn't like that.
But I feel that there's alwayspossibilities for change.
There's always moreopportunities out there.

(16:39):
If you're in some job or somesituation that you really hate,
you 100% can get out of it.
It just has to happen at theright time for you And the right
things to respond to will bethere.
But again, i still think thatthe most draining thing is just
all the thoughts that we haveabout this stuff.

(17:00):
So, even if you're in a drainingsituation and even applying
these things I'm talking aboutdoesn't really resolve all of it
, just know that that's okay, that even if the change of like
a new job or a new livingsituation or a new relationship
or a new project or whatever itis, isn't available to you right

(17:20):
now, it doesn't mean it's notavailable to you in a couple of
days and a couple of weeks, acouple of months, even a couple
of years.
And by just being very presentin your current life, being
honest with yourself about howyou feel, being in touch with
what you actually desire andgetting as much clarity on how
you want to feel as you can andthe things that truly are

(17:42):
energizing for you, that's whenmore of those opportunities
start to appear and you'll seethem, because you're looking for
them And sometimes it's okay tojust be in something that you
know isn't for the long term andit's not great and it's not
working.
But you can maximize the funthat you have outside of that on
the weekends, on the time youhave off in your alone time,

(18:02):
with some side projects you have, and sometimes that's just
enough to carry you throughuntil it's time to step into the
next phase and into anopportunity that's a lot more
aligned.
So, basically, what I wanteveryone to take away from this,
the TLDR, is as a generator orMG.
Of course we're here to dothings that are energizing and
satisfying to us.

(18:24):
But if your life does not look100% energizing or satisfying
right now, that is okay.
But if you hold that as yourintention, as something that you
want to bring into your life, that you know is who you are at
your most essential level, because it is you're a generator
or MG.
It's what you're put on earthto do, to do things that you

(18:46):
enjoy, that are satisfying thenthat reality will unfold for you
and you don't need to stress alot about how.
Just be present and be noticingthe things that are feeling
like yes to you, are feelinglike a no, and pursuing those
things that feel like a yes, andstep by step, it all kind of
comes together And eventuallyyou look up and you realize, wow

(19:08):
, i enjoy like 99% of my lifeand it's such a good feeling,
but you're still on the journey,in the in between, like it's
not, like you're not doing itright.
It just takes time todecondition and allow these
things to unfold in our lives.
So hopefully that gave you someideas about how to tackle these
things in your life that maybedon't feel the most energizing,
some different ways to thinkabout them, so that you're not

(19:31):
just draining yourself mentallywhere the shoulds or thinking
that you should be somewherethat you're not, because we're
all just on the journey.
Our journeys are all different.
You're even learning things andexperiencing things when you
are feeling like you're not onthe path that you want to be on,
and that's just an importantstep to getting on the path that

(19:52):
you want to go on most of thetime.
So thank you everyone and I'lltalk to you soo n.
