When I was a kid I always wanted to write a book, but as insidious societal conditioning got to me, I buried the dream! A few years ago, I felt the desire come up again but decided I wanted it to happen on my terms, in alignment with my Generator energy a.k.a. by allowing life to come to me  instead of trying to mastermind an outcome. This is that story!

Rachel (00:00):
On this episode of New Paradigm Human.
I'm talking about how I got abook deal in alignment with my
generator design.
Uh, so I want to tell thisstory in an interesting way,

(00:38):
because I'm never aiming to boreanybody who listens to this.
So today I wanted to talk abouthow I, as a generator, got a
book deal and wrote a book inalignment with my own energy,
because sometimes I think thatthere are misconceptions out
there that as sacral beings, asgenerators and manifesting
generators, we can't make thingshappen in our lives.
We absolutely do make thingshappen all the time.

(01:00):
It just may be in a slightlydifferent way that our mind
wants it, because the mind justkind of sees something, wants,
it thinks I'll just go get it.
But most of the time we assacral beings, especially as we
begin to decondition, realizethat that honestly just doesn't
work that well for us.
It's important for us to waitfor a response, and sometimes a

(01:22):
series of many responses thattake us toward each step
necessary for making somethinghappen.
It's not like we're waitingaround for life.
We are experiencing life inevery moment.
We are just waiting for aresponse and for a clear action
to appear.
So for us, being proactive canlook very different.

(01:43):
For us, being proactive is lessabout saying, okay, I'm going
to make this thing happen, sothese are the steps I have to
take and I'm going to go knockon this person's door and make
this happen, because that's kindof what we're conditioned to
believe.
But for us, being proactive isabout leaving space for things
to come into our lives.
So if we already are fillingevery moment of every day and

(02:05):
using up every ounce of ourenergy, we're probably not going
to have anything new come intoour reality.
So it's fine if all the thingsthat we're doing are fully
energizing and satisfying to usand we're not looking for
something new to come in.
I think we'll all go throughthose periods in our life, but
if we're looking to make achange, shift into a new reality

(02:25):
, it's really important to leavethat space.
Another way that we'reproactive is by focusing on what
we enjoy, spending time doingwhat we enjoy, putting our
energy toward that withouttrying to mastermind a certain
outcome.
And the third way that we areproactive as sacral beings is by
being in touch with our desires, honoring and acknowledging

(02:46):
what we want, because desirescome from the sacral.
Given that we all have definedsacral centers, it means that we
have consistent desires.
Desire is kind of the basis foreverything that we do in the
world, and that's why we havethese auras that are always
bringing things to us to help usmake these desires reality.
So, because it's helpful tohear real life examples of how

(03:09):
people make things happen inalignment with their design, I
wanted to share my story ofgetting this book deal and
writing this book on humandesign.
So I would say that this bookhas a lot of different phases of
how this desire came about andhow it became real.
You could go all the way back tome being a kid and my favorite
thing being writing, creatingthese little books, illustrating

(03:32):
them.
I loved writing.
I really wanted to be a writerwhen I was a kid, but even as a
writer, I wanted to be a writerlike a teenager.
There was part of me that feltlike well, being a writer isn't
really statistically thatrealistic, like being an author,
being a published author, whichis what I really wanted.
And I remember, even at 14,when I had to do some project

(03:54):
about like a potential careerthat I wanted to have, I wanted
to do author, but I felt like,oh, maybe that being too
confident in myself or sayingthat I'm this special thing like
that conditioning had alreadymade its way into my little
brain.
So it's just fascinating howinsidious this conditioning can
be.
It gets in our head so young.

(04:14):
So that desire was alreadythere when I was like a kid and
then it got buried for a verylong time.
I never thought of that asbeing a reality or a goal all
through college, all through my20s, because I was just focused
on surviving in the world, getting some solid job skills
that I felt would always allowme to get a job classic first
line insecurity stuff and I justhonestly never thought about it

(04:38):
.
Like I wasn't writing anything,I had nothing to put out there,
I didn't know what I wanted todo, I just wasn't being creative
.
But the second chapter of thisstarts about five years ago,
when I started to get seriousabout thinking okay, I really do
feel like I can make moneydoing something that I love.
I didn't end up leaving my jobor starting my business for like

(04:58):
a year or two after that, but Iremember having this awareness
of like I think I will write abook someday.
I had no idea what it would beabout.
I was looking at, like all thethings that I knew about
astrology, numerology, and I wasthinking, oh, maybe something
about that, something abouthealing all these things that
had been my true passion forthose years.
But I also had this feelinginside of me, even though I

(05:20):
didn't know what the sacral was, that said not yet.
Not yet it's not the time, likethere wasn't a clear response,
there wasn't a clear path.
So fast forward a couple moreyears.
I had already created HeroGenerators.
I was well on my way on thisjourney of creating things and
owning a business.
I had noticed that the things Iwas really enjoying creating

(05:41):
were like PDF guides, content, things like that.
And again I thought, hmm, Iwould like to write a book.
I would like to write a book, maybe about human design.
But when I really tapped intothat desire, I looked into a few
different options like, oh, Icould make something, I could
write something and publish itmyself.
I remember I downloaded like abook publishing software.

(06:01):
I was like, hmm, okay, justfeeling it out.
But when I actually got deepinto that desire and felt like
what I really wanted in mysacral, I was like, hmm, no,
this isn't a project I wanna doby myself.
This is something that I wantto do with a publisher.
This is something where I wouldlike them to approach me.
I would like them to have theskills that are not my main

(06:21):
forte.
I just wanna worry aboutcreating this book and marketing
it through my own channels.
I don't wanna have to thinkabout other ways to get this
book sold.
It was just very clear.
I wanted someone else toapproach me about this project.
So I was just patient, I let itbe and I figured if it's meant
to be, it will happen, like, eventually someone will come to
me and it will materialize.

(06:42):
So what I did in that time wasbasically I kept writing, I kept
doing my blog, essentiallydoing the same things.
That would be part of writing abook, of building this platform
and continuing to write andshare information.
And I think that's very much thekey for us as generators and
manifesting generators is we'rethe type where we'll do the
thing, whether we haverecognition or not, whether

(07:05):
we're making money or not, if wetruly love it.
We do it because it brings ussatisfaction.
It's not about the outsideworld.
Of course, we can getrecognition and money from the
outside world if that's what wewant, but that's not the reason
why we do it, and so it's thosethings that you just do, because
you have to do them, becauseyou want to do them, because you

(07:25):
can't not do them.
Those are the things that areultimately going to be the most
meaningful for you, and can bethe things that you choose to
monetize or not, but they can be, because those are gonna be the
most sustainable and energizingthings for you.
Then, one day, in spring 2022, Iliterally just opened up my

(07:47):
email in the morning, like I doany other day, and there was an
email from somebody, from apublisher that I didn't know
this person, and it just saidhey, I've been reading your blog
.
I came across you on the eachother podcast and I was
wondering have you ever thoughtabout writing a human design
book?
Like it was literally thatdirect, and I just got this
feeling like yes, it's arrived,it's here.
And it's so crazy because Inever could have predicted or

(08:10):
controlled that outcome.
It was many years after I'dalready gotten this idea, and so
the response was like immediate, it was like a yes, and I kind
of knew that this would work out.
However, I didn't try to projecttoo much into the future.
I wanted to meet with theperson.
I wanted to make sure that wehad the same vision for what we
wanted to do.
I had to, like, get moredetails and respond my way

(08:31):
through those details.
So that's another thing that isvery important to us as
generators and manifestinggenerators.
Sometimes we can have a certainresponse to like the overall
idea, but we still need torespond to the details.
So had I then met this person, not felt like it was a yes, not
felt like we shared the samevision, just not been energized
by the overall project or thecontractor, whatever it was,

(08:56):
then maybe that would have endedup being a no.
So it's important to get thoseadditional details and continue
to respond your way through.
But when I met up with her, Ifelt good.
It felt like we had goodchemistry.
We had the same type of visionin mind for the project.
She was very open to the waythat I communicate and my visual
sensibilities, and I was clearthat those were things that I

(09:18):
really wanted to carry forwardinto this book.
I wanted it to meld in with allthe rest of my work really
nicely, and so it was prettyeffortless then to put together
the proposal, sign the contractand begin the project and,
honestly, when we actually waitfor a response, when we wait for
things to come to us, it doesfeel effortless.
Like that, it feels flowing.
It feels effortless, it feelslike it was meant to be, like

(09:40):
there's not all these roadblocks, like you're not, you know,
banging your head against abrick wall.
Then it came time to do theactual work of writing the book,
and this is where there'snuances to all of this too.
So, as a generator, I knew thatI had the energy to carry out
this project, because when Irespond to something, it means
that I have the energy to carryit all the way through.
But did that necessarily meanthat every single moment of this

(10:04):
process was pleasurable?
The answer is no.
It took a lot of trial anderror to figure out how I wanted
to structure my time to be ableto write the book, how I would
structure it to work with mydesign.
I know that I need a certainbalance between freedom and
structure.
Thanks to channel 360, I havegate three.

(10:26):
Do not have gate 60.
So if you have those, take alook at that, because if you
only have gate three, havingsome external structure is very
healthy for you, and I learnedthat about myself through this
process.
So I figured out how tostructure my deadlines,
basically just try to keep theprocess as low stress as

(10:46):
possible, because, of course, Iwanted it to be enjoyable.
I wanted this to be a joyouspart of my life and not a drag.
I didn't want it to be drainingas a generator.
It's so important to feel thisnice energy and momentum behind
what I'm doing.
So, yeah, not every moment wasamazing.
There were definitely some daystoward the end of the deadlines
I'd set where I really had togrind.

(11:08):
At the end, I think I basicallyslept on my couch for like 10
straight days as I finished thebook.
Looking back in some ways, I'mlike I don't even know how I did
that, but because I felt thatsacred yes, I had the energy to
carry it through.
Not all of it was easy.
I had amazing editors and thefeedback they gave me and the

(11:28):
changes I had to make were verychallenging because, of course,
if I had known how to make itbetter, I would have done it the
first time.
So I had to dig really deepwhen it came to the edits and it
was very difficult and itwasn't always fun, but because
it had come about in this waythat was fully in alignment with
my design.
It had come to me, I hadresponded to it, I always knew
that it was going to turn out OK, I could get through all of

(11:50):
these challenges and I waslearning a lot and I was
honestly just excited about theproject.
I was so excited to bring thisinto the world, I was so excited
to have this info available forpeople, and that energy and
that response can pretty muchcarry you through anything.
The point of honoring yourdesign isn't to make things easy

(12:11):
for you.
Exactly so much of, at least inmy opinion what we're here to
do on earth is expand, andsometimes that means that we go
through challenges and we havehard times.
It doesn't mean that we have abelief that life has to be hard.
Life does not have to be hard, but learning new things, doing
new things, having experiencesthat your soul has never had

(12:32):
before, is a big part of beinghere.
So the point isn't necessarilyfor it to be easy, but it should
be like ease full, feel likeyou're in flow, feel like the
challenges you're having areexactly the ones that your soul
wants to experience, and I thinkyou can feel the difference in
that, by whether something justfeels like absolute torture and
you're being drained and itfeels just generally pointless

(12:55):
and it's just not an experiencethat you want to have, or
whether you're looking atsomething you're feeling like,
well, this, yes, is a challenge, but at the same time, I can see
what I'm getting out of this.
I can see how I'm growing, andso that's really the point of
living.
Our design is just having theexperiences that are meant for
us as an individual.
So that's really what living inalignment with your magnetic

(13:16):
generator, mg aura, or waitingto respond, is doing for you is
bringing the right things intoyour world.
So I guess the overarchingmessage here is what I mentioned
at the beginning.
For us, as sacred beings, beingproactive is different from
what we were conditioned with.
Making things happen isdifferent from what we were
conditioned with.
It's not like we have to go outthere and knock on all the

(13:39):
doors, try to get everybody'sattention, say I want to do this
, give me this, give me that.
We don't have to do thatnecessarily to make it happen.
What we are doing as generatorsand MG is doing what we enjoy.
That's going to be number oneif you want to take something
that you're doing to the nextlevel, just keep doing it.
I don't think I ever would havethought five years ago that

(14:00):
having a little blog would leadto someone just offering me a
book deal.
Like I never would have thoughtthat.
But that was the best way forsomething like that to happen,
because my editor was basicallylike I knew that you were a
decent enough writer to write abook and you had a viewpoint
that other people might want tohear from, and one of the best

(14:20):
ways to let other people knowthat you're out there is to just
do the thing that you want todo.
It's a way of honoring a desirethat you have, and when you do
that, it makes your aura verymagnetic.
It really brings a lot ofopportunities into your life.
So thank you everyone forlistening to this story.
Hopefully it helped you seesome of the things that you're
doing a little bit differentlyor feel more confident in the

(14:44):
fact that the things that youwant will manifest if you hold
that desire and wait until youhave a response.
My new book, a Modern Guide toHuman Design, is available on

It's already ready forpre-order.
