Heavenly Father,

We come before You with gratitude as the longest government shutdown in history nears its end; thank You for the leaders who worked across divides to restore services. Grant wisdom to President Trump and Congress as they reopen the nation, that every worker and family may soon find relief and stability.

Lord, we lift up the dispute between President Trump and the BBC; guide all involved toward truth and reconciliation, that words may heal rather than harm, and justice be served one way or the other.

For Iran’s pursuit of a peaceful nuclear path, we pray for negotiations, that security may be upheld without threat, and Your peace may prevail over decades of tension.

We grieve with the family and ministry of Alexander Wurm and his daughter Serena, lost while carrying aid to hurricane-stricken Jamaica; comfort their loved ones, honor their sacrifice, and multiply the good they sought to do.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.
