North Carolina has raised its minimum car insurance coverage requirements, with new amounts set at $50,000 per person for bodily injury, $100,000 per accident for bodily injury, and $50,000 for property damage. Uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage is now mandatory in the state to offer better financial protection for accident victims and drivers. Auto insurers have increased rates by 22.06 percent to accommodate rising costs, aiming to address growing medical and vehicle repair expenses. The Layton Law Firm, led by Chris Layton, J.D., offers legal representation for car accident victims and personal injury claims.
