Reuel Sample (00:02):
They forgot who
the real enemy was.
So they lost the battle andthey lost the war.
Welcome to the NHC GOP Podcast.
Friday Update.
I'm l Sample.
A long time ago, a country, in afaraway place, faced the
oncoming assault of a powerfulchief.
All the greatest strategists ofthe era knew that he and his
(00:22):
army would arrive in 199 days, but none of them knew how to
defeat him.
Until one day they realizedtheir greatest strength was in
their archers, men and women whocould put arrows on target from
a great distance away.
And so they trained and trainedothers until they raised a
massive army of archers whocould defeat the enemy.
(00:45):
When the enemy spies saw this, they reported back to their
chief with great fear.
Yet their leader simply smiledand said just wait.
The archers continued to trainuntil one day a great dispute
arose.
It seemed that some archersdrew their bows with their right
hand, while the others drewwith their left.
(01:06):
Furthermore, some bows weremade with yew wood, others with
ash and still others withhickory.
No matter the hand used to drawthe bow, nor the wood used in
the make of the bow affected theaccuracy.
Yet these differences causedgreat divisions within the ranks
of the esteemed archers.
The left-handed bowmen thoughtthe right-handed bowmen were too
(01:29):
rigid in their views, while theright-handed bowmen thought the
left-handed bowmen were nottruly archers.
The hickory bows were thoughtto be too old, the ash bows were
thought to be too new and theyew bows seemed to be only used
by the wealthy to be too new,and the U-bows seemed to be only
used by the wealthy.
It quickly got to the pointthat each set and subset of the
(01:49):
archers, previously united intheir marksmanship and skill,
kept to themselves and did verylittle with the others.
Thus, while the U-bowmensometimes stayed together, they
further had issues with whichhand to draw with, and so they
were divided there as well, andso on.
These arguments spilled outinto the very strategy itself,
(02:12):
as the left-handed bowmenrefused to follow anyone who
thought that right-handed bowmenwere archers.
The right-handed bowmenthemselves started creating
their own chain of command andlooked with disdain on any who
drew with their left.
The people of the nation did notknow what to do.
They wanted the archers andrealized that they were the best
(02:33):
answer to the oncoming invasion, but were very hesitant to
support them because of theirinfighting.
Then, one day, they decided tosolve the issue with a massive
show of marksmanship Outside thecity.
The leaders put a target.
They amassed the right-handbowmen on one hill, subsectioned
(02:56):
by bow wood, of course, andgave them purple arrows and the
left-handed archers on the otherhill with green arrows.
When given the signal, eachgroup of archers was to launch a
barrage at the target, thegroup of archers with the most
arrows in the target area wouldbe deemed the archers of the
(03:17):
land and given honor and glorythroughout the realm.
The losers, of course, wouldbecome second-class archers and
subject to the whims of thewinners.
The great day arrived.
The target was set, the archerswere arrayed and the signal was
given.
The sky was filled with a hostof arrows, yet none of them
landed on the target.
It seems that each group, notwanting to be second class at
(03:37):
all and filled with greatdisdain for the opposite-handed
archers, chose not to fire atthe target but instead drew and
fired at their fellow archers.
Their aim was true and a greatmany of the archers fell that
day or simply ran away.
Shortly afterward, the chiefand his army marched into the
(03:59):
country and took it over withvery little resistance.
In the midst of their distrustof each other, the archers
failed their task.
To defend their country, theychose to fight and to destroy
themselves, instead ofremembering who the enemy was.
At the time of broadcast of thispodcast, there are 199 days
(04:21):
until November 5th 2024.
On that day, republicans havethe massive task of defending
this country against thecontinued onslaught of the
leftist ideals of the Democrats, from their failed domestic
policies of high taxes, energydependence and their outright
(04:42):
attacks on the family andAmerican values, to the absolute
mess that President Biden hasmade of his foreign policy,
leading to evil running rampantin the world.
The object is clear Defeat theDemocrats at the voting booths.
While every election isimportant, this election will
have generational consequencesthat we can only begin to grasp.
(05:05):
We must elect Donald Trump asthe President of the United
States.
We must elect Mark Robinson asGovernor of North Carolina.
We must enlarge our Republicanlegislative majorities at all
levels of government here in NewHanover County.
We must further strengthen ourschool board and increase our
majority on our countycommission.
(05:26):
The object is clear and only199 days away.
Yet Republicans, much like thosearchers, are spending their
time and resources fighting eachother.
This Republican is notconservative enough.
This Republican is tooconservative.
One fully supports this issue, yet another is not so definitive
(05:51):
on that issue.
Some think we need to go onlyso far, others think we have not
gone far enough, and so on.
And instead of focusing on thatbig target, we create chaos in
our party, distrust among ourvoters, who know that we are the
answer.
And the Democrats just sit back, smile and say just wait.
(06:14):
In the days and weeks ahead youwill hear from many in the
party who are running for office, with whom you may have
disagreements.
They might not be everythingyou want.
They probably won't beeverything you want.
No person can be.
The perfect.
Republican does not exist.
(06:34):
Pure Republican idealism cannotbe put into place because we do
not live in an ideal world.
What I can say is that we havea better chance of seeing our
Republican ideals and values putinto place if we elect
Republicans.
President Eisenhower once saidthat the liberal left will
(06:57):
always point out problems, butit must be the right that puts
the answers into place.
We have a lot of problems andissues that need to be addressed
.
They can only be addressed byRepublicans if we put
Republicans into office.
At no other time has it been socritical that we make this
(07:18):
election not about theindividual but about electing
Republicans 199 days to go Forthe NHC GOP podcast.
