Our guest in today’s episode is Mai Duong; co-founder of Swab The World Foundation, Advertising Executive, TED Talk Speaker, and Author.
In 2013, Mai, pregnant with her second child was diagnosed with Leukemia. Her battle against cancer made national headlines, a campaign was launched to help her find a stem cell donor to save her life. After excruciating chemotherapy and a second relapse, Mai was finally saved from an umbilical cord donor. Today more than 6 years later, she is healthy, has written a children’s book, has had a second child via surrogacy, and has launched an International Foundation in hopes of increasing the number of stem cell donors across the world!
In this episode, we dive into Mai’s life-changing story of resilience and her journey in building a global charity. She also opens up about the recent birth story of her second child via surrogacy and her future vision of the world.
