I'm trying to think who it is.

SPEAKER_06 (00:10):
I think we're all pretty festive.
I feel like I have my green on.

SPEAKER_01 (00:12):
Okay.

SPEAKER_06 (00:13):
You're just a little bit more of a clown show over
there.
Yeah, a little bit.

SPEAKER_01 (00:17):
A little bit more of a busy.
Hey, I'm ripping the alma mater.

SPEAKER_06 (00:21):
Yeah, the Washington Cougar Christmas.
Washington State Cougars.
Yes.

SPEAKER_01 (00:24):
We're not the University of Washington.
Again, from someone who went toColorado State, I would figure
you would understand thedifference between Colorado and
Colorado State and Washingtonand Washington State.

SPEAKER_06 (00:35):
Okay, so because this is why.
Yeah.
We didn't refer to CU at I mean,we didn't call it Colorado and
in Colorado State.
We didn't we never said that.
We said C U and C S U.
Literally, that's why it's soconfusing to me that I just say
Washington, whatever, WSU orwhatever.
Anyway.

SPEAKER_01 (00:52):
My goodness.

SPEAKER_06 (00:52):
Happy Christmas.
Yeah, I'm sorry about that,everybody.

SPEAKER_01 (00:54):
I'm sorry you had to see that vicious takedown.

SPEAKER_06 (00:57):
So we are Happy Christmas Eve, by the way.
This is gonna be Christmas Evewhen people are listening to
this.
That's when we're releasingthis, by the way.
You didn't know that, but I'mmaking that the rule.

SPEAKER_01 (01:05):
So let's just say that we'll get this out when it
gets out.

SPEAKER_06 (01:09):
Hey, well, uh yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (01:10):
So we just we got uh you asked for questions.

SPEAKER_06 (01:13):
I did, and then we got we got so many that we will
not have time to answer all ofthem.
Okay, but I did pick a few out.
If we get some extra time, I'llI have some extras as well.
But I have someone off, youknow, the people wrote in
emails, they gave us comments.
It was good.

SPEAKER_01 (01:26):
And both girls are here to answer the questions.

SPEAKER_06 (01:28):
I just can't see Ella.

SPEAKER_01 (01:29):
Ella's punching the show.

SPEAKER_06 (01:30):
I'm here.

SPEAKER_01 (01:31):
Okay, very nice, kiddo.
And then we wish you all a veryMerry Christmas.
I hope you guys have a greatChristmas holiday.
And some of this may leak intoNew Year's, and just I I hope
you you're blessed by the timeyou get to spend with family,
because that is the thing thatwe do.
Obviously, it's a big deal tous, and and we're thankful for
you.
I mean, we really are.
This has been such a fun show todo, and and how engaged

(01:53):
everybody is.
And please know that you're ablessing to us and our family
today.

SPEAKER_06 (01:57):
Yeah, absolutely.
The comments that we get, thefact that some of you stop us um
at the gym, at the grocerystore.
I mean, I even just met our newwater delivery guy, right?
He's asking what's going on.
I'm telling him, he's like, Ohmy gosh, I'm gonna listen, I'm
gonna dial in.
His name's Bill, by the way.
Merry Christmas, Bill, if you'relistening.
So very cool.
Just a lot of you know, verypositive feedback, which um is
great.
It's great to hear.

(02:17):
So thank you so much forspending 2025 with us, and we
hope to hear you hear from youin 2026 as well.
So okay, so let me get to someof these questions.
Okay.
All right, let's do this.
Okay, this first one came infrom Jen.

SPEAKER_02 (02:29):
Okay.

SPEAKER_06 (02:30):
Okay, what is one small Christmas thing that
brings you joy every year?
Ooh.

SPEAKER_04 (02:35):
Um, I guess one small Christmas thing that
brings me joy every year is I itdoesn't happen every year, but I
love when there's snow aroundChristmas.
Oh, yeah.
Um not so much this year.

SPEAKER_03 (02:45):
Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04 (02:46):
But um, I really like that.
Okay.

SPEAKER_06 (02:47):
These are gotta be short, quick answers, guys,
because I got a lot ofquestions.

SPEAKER_01 (02:50):
So got it.
Okay.
So I'm not looking for amonologue.
You're not looking for amonologue.
We can provide them if we need.
Yeah, well, I maybe we do.
Uh I would say I think the thingI love, I love when we and we
this is a little weird becausewe didn't actually get to put as
much on the tree as we wantedto.
But I do love when when Christy.
I I always I I I bust Christy'schops because she, when she goes

(03:11):
into Christmas mode, it'ssomething to see.
It really is.
I mean, her in action, likecreating this blizzard of
Christmas downstairs, it'sunbelievable.
And you change the whole houseover.
It is it's like you're thepeople at the White House when a
new president comes in and theyhave 24 hours to change over the
whole White House.
That's you getting Christmasready.
That's true.
And then we cap it off by doingthe tree, which I love with the

(03:33):
girls.
We put the tree up and we put iton the house.

SPEAKER_06 (03:35):
This year it's a it's a failure, ladies, because
I we got that tree, that pre-littree up at Thanksgiving, and it
still stands with no decorationson it.
Yeah, it wasn't great on ourpart.
It's kind of chic.
Uh it's a minimalist tree.
That's what I call it this year.
It just was a little bit alittle bit crazy.
But yeah, I love I love when weactually do get to decorate that
tree.
But I do think the joy for me, Ilove doing the decorating.

(03:57):
I love it.

SPEAKER_01 (03:57):
I know.

SPEAKER_06 (03:58):
I get to do it for a little bit of time.
But okay, Alice, what about you?

SPEAKER_05 (04:01):
Um, I would probably say uh just when we like go up
to spend time with family, because we go up to Colorado.
And that's like my favorite partbecause we get to go up and like
really be with our family forChristmas.
And so that's what I love.

SPEAKER_01 (04:13):
Okay, very nice.

SPEAKER_06 (04:14):
There's no other uh Ron Keddias or O'Quins down here
in uh New Mexico that arerelated to us.

SPEAKER_01 (04:19):
We are the only ones.

SPEAKER_06 (04:20):
We're it.
Okay, next question.
This comes in from Olivia.
Uh she said, Christmas Eve orChristmas morning, and why?

SPEAKER_04 (04:28):
Do you guys have a favorite?
Um, I mean, I guess I gotta gowith Christmas morning.
Christmas Eve just makes mereally like I get really
excited, but then I kind of getlike really nervous and I can't
sleep all night.
Oh.
So I like Christmas morning alot better.
Okay.
Mark?

SPEAKER_01 (04:41):
Uh Christmas Eve, no question.
The anticipation is isunbeatable.

SPEAKER_06 (04:46):
The meatballs that you make with my brother-in-law
is a good thing.
Yeah, it's true.
We do do the meatballs.

SPEAKER_01 (04:51):
No, it's it's I mean, you're all fired up.
You're sitting there, you youmay open like the pajamas or
whatever you do, or one gift orwhatever it is.
We did one gift as a kid, andyou're so fired up of the
anticipation.
Now, invariably with my parentswhen we would uh or with Santa,
depending, you know, uhoccasionally I would ask for
something, and the anticipationwould would sometimes outstrip

(05:11):
the actual event.
So I ended up always lookingmore forward to Christmas Eve.

SPEAKER_06 (05:16):
Oh, you mean like because you asked for a Schwin
and you got like a I got a Kent.

SPEAKER_01 (05:21):
That was the year.
I got a Kent.
Uh they brought me a br a brownKent.
So I asked for a Schwin bike.
It was supposed to beincredible.
I was I was all fired up, readyto go, and I was gonna get a
Schwin tent, at least that'swhat I thought was headed my
way.
Right.
And then I get up in the morningand find out Santa brought me a
brown Kent bike.
Yeah.
Which, you know, you get on theKent and it's not like getting

(05:41):
on a Schwin.

SPEAKER_06 (05:42):
Right.

SPEAKER_01 (05:43):
The Schwin was unbelievable.

SPEAKER_06 (05:45):
You did have a huge family and a lot of kids.

SPEAKER_01 (05:47):
Oh, no question.
I'm not saying this was not aselfish concern of mine.
It absolutely was.
The fact that I got a new bikeat all.
Right.
Now, just because it and thatnew bike lasted maybe three
weeks before the wheels felloff.
But not a big deal.

SPEAKER_06 (06:00):
We're not bitter about it at all.
Not at all.
Not at all.

SPEAKER_01 (06:02):
But I wanted that Schwin so badly.

SPEAKER_06 (06:04):
It's why you're a brand, it's why you're a brand
guy now.
I you are a brand guy for sure.
Uh did you do I remember thisright?
Did you did you guys not haveyour presents wrapped?
They were just put in piles withlike your stocking or something.

SPEAKER_01 (06:17):
No, so the way it worked is my parents gave us a
present.
Okay.
They were wrapped.
Okay.
But if Santay brought a present,oh no, Santa didn't wrap
presents.
He didn't have to write.
Santa doesn't have time to wrappresents.

SPEAKER_06 (06:27):
Oh, Santa wrapped all my presents.

SPEAKER_01 (06:28):
Oh no, no, no, no, he doesn't have to be.

SPEAKER_06 (06:29):
Santa used different paper for my gifts.
Yeah, that was, yeah, Santa wasSanta used different paper for
our girls' gifts.

SPEAKER_01 (06:36):
Oh, he did?

SPEAKER_06 (06:37):
Yeah.
I know that you wouldn'tremember that or know anything
about it.

SPEAKER_01 (06:42):
Mainly because I was at work when Santa was getting
stuff ready.

SPEAKER_06 (06:44):
Right.

SPEAKER_01 (06:45):
You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_06 (06:46):
Really?
Because you're working hard atmidnight on Christmas Eve night?

SPEAKER_01 (06:49):
Well, let's just let's just Santa needs the
resources throughout the year tobe able to buy presents.

SPEAKER_05 (06:56):
Christmas Eve, Christmas morning.
Um, I pick Christmas morningbecause Christmas Eve for me was
always like waiting and waitingand waiting and waiting.
And if you really think about ifyou could relive the same day
four times in a row, would yourather relive Christmas Eve or
Christmas morning?

SPEAKER_01 (07:08):
Oh, Christmas Eve.

SPEAKER_06 (07:09):
Oh, Christmas morning.
Christmas Eve is my favorite dayof the whole year.
Yeah, of the whole year.

SPEAKER_01 (07:13):
Wow, that's big.

SPEAKER_06 (07:14):
So you know, and you guys know that because I'm super
protective about it.
There's like Christmas Eve.
I am.

SPEAKER_05 (07:19):
Nobody take away Christmas Eve.
Yeah, but like you, but youalways you're always like
waiting for the day after.
So to me, I'd rather just be atthe day after.

SPEAKER_06 (07:27):
Well, and here's here's why.
Christmas Eve, and this is notto go into too much detail, but
I grew up with uh I grew up withtwo Christmases ladies, as you
guys always joke with us when meand dad have an argument.
You're like, we're getting twoChristmases.
It's a joke, but I'm like,you're not getting two
Christmases.
Anyway, I did have twoChristmases, right?
And my parents split up when Iwas only three.
So every Christmas Eve, I wentto my dad's, and then we had to
transfer back and be my mom.

(07:47):
It was just confusing, and Ihated that part as a kid.
So as I got older, I was like,oh no, I'm doing Christmas Eve
and it's gonna be fun, andnobody's gonna get in the way of
that.
So that's why I'm so protectiveof Christmas Eve, and I want it
to be.

SPEAKER_01 (07:58):
It is great.
Christmas Eve is great.

SPEAKER_04 (08:00):
I thought it would nominate Christmas Day night.
Oh, see, that's how I likeChristmas.

SPEAKER_01 (08:04):
I mean, you should be you should be tearing down,
you should be tearing downdecorations.
Well, I have done it.
Christmas night, it should belike, hey, we are breaking this
down and you're not gonna knowit exists by the 26th.

SPEAKER_05 (08:14):
I don't agree with that.
No, I like it.
I think I think Christmas nightis kind of depressing because
then it's all over.
Yeah.
All you have to look forward tois New Year's, which is like the
worst day ever.
And then yeah, I don't like NewYear's either.

SPEAKER_01 (08:26):
I don't like New Year's either because then I
feel like I'm wasting my year.
No, no, I agree.
New Year's is depressing.

SPEAKER_06 (08:31):
It's so depressing.
No, you watch when Harry metSally, you make some food, we do
charcuterie or a little bit ofdepression.
I try to cook for us, I try tomake it fun.
I know, but I've never the mostdepression.

SPEAKER_04 (08:42):
But then you count down, it's like, oh god, now we
gotta do it all again.
And I just like oh my goodnessgracious.

SPEAKER_01 (08:47):
Like I haven't had like, oh my gosh, that New
Year's was incredible and Idon't know how long.

SPEAKER_06 (08:53):
Don't get me wrong, I like when we hang out when
it's just our family, but weplayed games last year and we
watched movies, and I'm I know, but then the bowl drops, and
you're like, really?

SPEAKER_01 (09:01):
I don't know.

SPEAKER_04 (09:01):
I think last night, guys, last Christmas Eve, you
guys went to bed last uh NewYear's, you guys went to bed
before midnight.
Well, because listen, Icelebrated on the East Coast.
Yeah, I celebrated East Coast.
Like I sat awake at 12 a.m.
and I was like, okay, happy NewYear's.

SPEAKER_01 (09:13):
I'm telling you, I don't, I'm not a fan.

SPEAKER_06 (09:15):
We like to Okay, let's move on.
Sorry, yeah.
Mike asked two questions.
Best Christmas song, mostannoying Christmas song.

SPEAKER_01 (09:22):
Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_06 (09:23):
I'll go first on this one.
Most annoying is that CharlieBrown Christmas thing.
I love that one.
Yeah, depressing.
Talk about it in a depressingsong.
It's that song.
Okay.
Okay.
I don't like that song.
Uh, best Christmas song is Ilove all I love I'll be home for
Christmas.
I think that's such a prettysong, and I just I've always

(09:44):
loved that song.

SPEAKER_04 (09:45):
So Ava.
I'm gonna be honest with y'all.
Yeah.
I'm not a fan of Christmasmusic.
Yeah.
Shocker.
I think it's so annoying.
But she turns it off out of mycar whenever she's gonna be.
But there are a couple songs Ilike.
Okay.
One of them is Is The ChristmasTime Is Here by the Vince
Garaldi trio from Peanuts.
The second one is um I love Ilove Christmas rapping.

(10:06):
The one that's like MerryChristmas, Merry Christmas.
I like that one.
Okay.
And I I like she knows all thesongs and can see that.
Not a big fan of, you know,Mariah Carey.
Oh, I love her.
I don't like Burr.
I don't really like FrankSinatra.

SPEAKER_06 (10:18):
I know it's overplayed, I still like it.
It's very peppy.

SPEAKER_04 (10:20):
My real, my real, honestly, what really grinds my
gears is when pop stars coverChristmas songs and they try and
go way out of it.
Like listening to MichaelBublet, or like the one that's
like, Very, Merry Christmas.

SPEAKER_02 (10:31):
Just like stop.
Okay, all right.

SPEAKER_05 (10:34):
That was a long question.
That was a long answer.
Well, just I have a lot ofpictures.
I have a couple least favorites, which is the one where they're
rapping.
I hate that one.
Yeah, I hate that.
I hate that song.
Yeah, it's monotone.
I hate it.
Okay.
I hate uh Santa Baby becauseit's gross.

SPEAKER_01 (10:48):
Yeah, that is gross.

SPEAKER_05 (10:49):
It grosses me.

SPEAKER_01 (10:50):
That's true, actually.
That the words of Santa Baby arepretty scary, yeah.

SPEAKER_05 (10:54):
Yeah, it's kind of gross.

SPEAKER_01 (10:55):
Is that the one that like you couldn't do now?
You'd be arrested.

SPEAKER_05 (10:58):
No, that's baby it's cold outside.
Oh, that's it.

SPEAKER_01 (11:00):
That's baby it's cold outside.

SPEAKER_04 (11:01):
That song's also annoying.
Baby, it's cold.

SPEAKER_06 (11:03):
I like the song.

SPEAKER_04 (11:03):
It's kind of gross.
Like almost.

SPEAKER_01 (11:05):
Is that the one where they're like, you need
another cocktail?

SPEAKER_04 (11:08):
So I really, I really need to leave.

SPEAKER_05 (11:10):
And he's like, Don't hurt my feelings.
Stay here.
Yeah, it's it's a little, yeah.
So I don't want to fave those.
Okay.
My favorite, I for Ava, Avaknows my favorite Christmas
song.
What's my favorite Christmassong, Ava?
And I told you the other day,and you're like, it's the worst
Christmas song ever.
And I literally was sittingthere.
I don't know what it is.
I'll have to think about it.
Is it all I want for Christmasis you?

SPEAKER_04 (11:28):
No.

SPEAKER_01 (11:29):
Okay.
Your favorite Christmas song?

SPEAKER_04 (11:31):
Oh, her favorite Christmas song is Santa Claus's
Coming to Town, the BruceSpringsteen cover.
I love it.
That was my favorite Christmassong.
I don't get that.
I like Bruce Springsteen becauseI hated that.
Yeah, I love that.

SPEAKER_05 (11:46):
Santa Claus is coming to down.
And then I also like Mistletoeby Justin Bieber.
Don't buy our song.
Oh, that's cute.
That's all you get.

SPEAKER_06 (11:53):
Girls, write on your drummer boy one.
I know that you guys are not onthe show a lot, but we cannot
talk at the same time.
It's annoying for our listeners.
So at a time.
Okay.
Producing on the fly.
Shut it.
What's your favorite and mostannoying song?

SPEAKER_01 (12:06):
Uh most annoying is the chipmunks.
Like enough of your chipmunks.
I disagree.

SPEAKER_06 (12:11):
I had that album as a girl.

SPEAKER_01 (12:12):
I cannot stand that.
It drives me.
It's great.
It's annoying.
It's grating.
And uh Have Yourself a MerryLittle Christmas by the
Pretenders is my favorite.
Christy Hyant, or is ChristyHyan?
I think that's her name.
Her voice is in that song isperfect.
It's exceptional.

SPEAKER_06 (12:27):
Okay.
I I uh I know you love thatsong.
It sounds really good.
I like that one too.
Okay, we're gonna move on.
Carrie said, uh, when I think wealready answered this one, but
when must the Christmas treecome down?
Day after Christmas, after NewYear's, or even later?
And we heard a crazy story aboutwe're building a house, we're
doing a show in Angel Fire rightnow that you guys will tell you
more about.
And our builder puts hisChristmas tree up in November

(12:48):
and doesn't take it down untilApril, which is crazy town.
I'm like, that's a long time fora tree.
Uh what do you guys think?

SPEAKER_01 (12:56):
Oh, day after Christmas.
Yeah.
No question.

SPEAKER_06 (12:58):
Sure.
Because then it just gets like, then you're just like, all
right, why is it Christmas?

SPEAKER_01 (13:00):
You sweep it away, it makes it now.
I will say, I'm starting to comearound to the fact that you go
off the front end longer, right?
So in other words, you put it upmaybe even just before
Thanksgiving, which I neverwould have done before.
It was always afterThanksgiving.
But now you want to extend it alittle bit, extend it on the
front end, increasing theanticipation, not on the back
end after it's over.

SPEAKER_06 (13:19):
Yeah, okay, I agree with that.
But see, the thing is we hostThanksgiving.
So we have all our family here,so I decorate for fall.
So it's hard to do like thepheasants.
We had the Christmas tree up.
Well, I always put the Christmastree up.
And I did add a new Christmastree this year because I wanted
a second tree, much to Mark'schagrin.
And um, I would love to leavethat one up year-round.
It's frosted.
No.
Yeah.
It's clocked.

SPEAKER_05 (13:39):
I guess it's clocked with any of you.
Okay, good.
Because, well, okay, because Ihad a year where I put it up on
Thanksgiving.
She has one in her room, by theway.
I have one in my room and it'stall and it takes up a lot of
trees.
But I left it up one year untilMarch.

SPEAKER_01 (13:54):
And you liked that.

SPEAKER_05 (13:55):
And I liked it.
It was mood lighting, it wasnice, it was jolly, and then I
took it down.

SPEAKER_01 (13:59):
Okay.

SPEAKER_05 (14:00):
And that's where I'm at.
Okay.
That might, that's kind of whereI'm at with the flocked tree.

SPEAKER_06 (14:03):
I might keep it up.
I like that tree.
Um, I uh did you say already?
You said right eating tree.
She's right, right.
I I it has to come down rightafter.
Yeah.
I pack up all the Christmasstuff right away.
All right.
Uh so Tom asked a series ofquestions.
Tom H asked a series ofquestions.
Um, who is the best gift giverin your family?
It's my mom.
It's mom.
Um I was gonna say, who is theonly gift giver in our family?

(14:26):
What?
It's mom.
Yeah, I agree.

SPEAKER_01 (14:28):
Christy is the best one.
Yeah, yeah, no doubt.

SPEAKER_06 (14:30):
It's every mom on the planet.
I'm sorry, but Christmas doesn'thappen without the moms in the
world.
Well, it really doesn't happen.
That's a good point.
Like, and if if anybody outthere is full, like if you're a
man right now, do you have anyclue what's wrapped under the
tree for your kids?
Do you have any idea?
Are you remotely surprised whenthey open the package?

SPEAKER_01 (14:49):
I I I there's some stuff I'm familiar with.

SPEAKER_06 (14:52):
Some stuff.
There's some stuff you'refamiliar with because of why.
Because I told you.

SPEAKER_01 (14:56):
Yes.

SPEAKER_06 (14:56):
Okay.
Correct.
Just for clarity's sake.

SPEAKER_01 (14:59):
But we did, I will say, uh, as a family, uh, we
have, you know, we definitelygot on a little earlier this
year in relation to your stuff.

SPEAKER_06 (15:06):
So oh wow.

SPEAKER_01 (15:07):
I know.

SPEAKER_05 (15:07):
Okay, that should be exciting.

SPEAKER_01 (15:08):
There's a theme.

SPEAKER_05 (15:09):
We should all say thank you, Ella.
That's what we should do.

SPEAKER_01 (15:12):
Ella is, yeah.
I'm on top of it.
I'm not sure.
If there's a second placeperson, it's Ella.

SPEAKER_06 (15:16):
I agree.
I think Ella has uh she hasstepped into the role.
Yeah.
And someday I will just hand thetorch over to her so she can be
the guest.

SPEAKER_01 (15:23):
Okay, what else you got, Tom?

SPEAKER_06 (15:24):
Okay, Tom says, uh, who is the hardest person to
shop for and why in our family?
Dad.
Yeah, I mean, you returneverything we buy.

SPEAKER_01 (15:34):
So it's like get here's the thing.

SPEAKER_06 (15:35):
Because here's the thing.
If we buy him, we don't buy himthe Schwin, he returns it.

SPEAKER_01 (15:39):
Yeah, well, that's true.
But also, if I want something, Ibuy it.
So that's the hard part fromwhere you guys are.
Like, if I want to go getsomething, if I want a new pair
of skis, I just go buy them.
I don't, I don't go like, hey,I'd love to get these, but I
just can't find a way to make itwork.
Like, you know what I mean?
Like if I'm gonna get something,I'll buy it.

SPEAKER_06 (15:54):
From you before of saying these are the skis I
want.

SPEAKER_01 (15:56):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
If we plan that sort of thing.
But I I just think it's yeah,it's hard because when you try
to buy me clothes, it's justit's it's not it's not great.
I need to, I need to buy my ownclothes.
So, so do me a favor and justdon't line me up with a bunch of
clothes that you think I need.
Uh-oh.

SPEAKER_06 (16:11):
Okay.
It's the only time.
I'm not taking credit.
It's the only time that we canactually help get Mark something
other than a hoodie to work.

SPEAKER_05 (16:19):
Well, the thing that's hard is that you say,
like, what do you want forChristmas?
And you're like, I don't know.
Yeah.
And then it's just like, I don'tknow.
For a lot of people.
Oh, I don't need money.
That's so hard to buy somebodywho likes something because then
you just have to guess.
Okay.
All right.

SPEAKER_06 (16:30):
Who is the Tom?
This is Tom's last question.
Who is gets the most stressed atChristmas?
You.

SPEAKER_01 (16:34):
You do.
Once again.
Again.

SPEAKER_06 (16:36):
And why is that?
Because you do all the work.
Right.
Okay.
Again, it's moms.
Yeah, we dust every now andagain.
I'm not saying that you don't dostuff, Mark.
Like you're getting all saltyeither.

SPEAKER_01 (16:46):
I'm a little hurt right now.

SPEAKER_06 (16:47):
You bring out the Christmas cubbies for me to
decorate and you put them backaway.
So you do do that.

SPEAKER_01 (16:52):
You definitely put in the most work.

SPEAKER_06 (16:54):
You drive.
You watch the Cowboys game.

SPEAKER_01 (16:57):
I do.

SPEAKER_06 (16:57):
Religiously.
That's hard work.

SPEAKER_01 (16:59):
That is hard work.
It's painful.
Very painful.

SPEAKER_06 (17:02):
And you make meatballs on Christmas Eve.

SPEAKER_01 (17:04):
There we go.

SPEAKER_06 (17:04):
So those are your those are your things for that.

SPEAKER_01 (17:05):
That is my thing.

SPEAKER_06 (17:06):
Okay, this comes in from Lisa.
What Christmas tradition of oursdo you like the most?
And girls, she's asking youspecifically, do you think
you'll pass anything down toyour own family that we do
someday?

SPEAKER_01 (17:16):
Yeah, I like that.

SPEAKER_06 (17:17):
Ooh.

SPEAKER_04 (17:19):
As far as Christmas traditions go, um, I have two.
I like, first of all, just thegeneral, again, going up to see
family in Colorado.

SPEAKER_02 (17:27):
Yep.

SPEAKER_04 (17:28):
But I also like we do this sometimes where we go
and you do the church service, and I know that this isn't our
tradition, it's a churchtradition, but you light the
candle and you sing.
I think that's really special.
I really like that time of year.
Um, so I would probably continuesomething like that, because I
think that's really fun.

SPEAKER_01 (17:42):
Yeah, I love it.
All right.
Else.

SPEAKER_04 (17:44):
Else.

SPEAKER_01 (17:46):
Um your mic is not on.

SPEAKER_05 (17:50):
You're right, your mic is not on.
Um, I don't know.
Uh I would say probably.
Yes, I do like going to church, and I obviously will pass that
on, but I also like when we makesuede trees.
Because when we go up toColorado, we make like a lot of
like different types of cookiesand things like that, and that's
very fun, and you can do thatwith your kids.
I like that tradition.
I like that we do that.
That's all I got.
I like the white elephant too.

(18:10):
Oh, I do.
I like the elephant.

SPEAKER_06 (18:11):
We do a little white elephant exchange.
Okay.

SPEAKER_01 (18:13):
Yours?
You don't have it?

SPEAKER_06 (18:14):
Oh, I don't have one.
Go ahead.

SPEAKER_01 (18:16):
Uh, I like that we go up every year and stay at the
Broadmoor in Colorado Springswith the girls and check out
their decorations.
We do that for one night, anduh, it's always the most
expensive hotel room we spentfor the whole year.
For the whole year.
Yeah.
But it is uh it's beautiful andit's it's just cool.
It's the drive, honestly.
The drive too is I know that'sweird to be like the drive is
cool, but I do.

(18:36):
I like the drive even.

SPEAKER_03 (18:38):
You know, we don't like small, we don't cherish
Denver traffic like you do.

SPEAKER_01 (18:42):
I know.
I like I don't I don't cherishthe drive home, but I cherish
the drive up because a lot ofme, again, anticipation on the
front end.

SPEAKER_06 (18:47):
Yeah, and I like you, I like I like that too,
because it's kind of just thefour of us at that time because
we do celebrate.
We've always gone to my familyfor Christmas, um, and I love
it.
It's my favorite thing.
Um, but I do love just having alittle bit of alone time um with
just the four of you guys, andso it's that is pretty special.
I like that a lot.
Um, okay, uh Papa Jones says Umif you were sitting with Jesus

(19:11):
at the kitchen table and couldask him one question, what would
it be?

SPEAKER_04 (19:15):
Wow.

SPEAKER_06 (19:16):
Wow, goodness.

SPEAKER_04 (19:17):
Wow, wow, you're really looking at me.

SPEAKER_06 (19:19):
That's a deep question.
Okay, anybody?
Anybody want to take a questionabout that?
Is it like a serious question?
Well, he he added on.
It's what part of the Christmasstory matters more to you now
than when you were younger?
And so it was kind of like ablended question.
So I made it two, but you couldanswer either one of those.
Wait.
So either if you were sittingwith Jesus at the kitchen table
and could ask him one question, what would it be?

(19:39):
And what part of the Christmasstory matters more to you now
than when you were younger?
Yeah.
So I would ask Jesus, seriously,I would ask, and I think it's
because I just lost both myparents.
Yeah.
Do they hang out in heaven?
Like that's what I would askJesus today.
Like if I could if I could askJesus a question right now, I'm
super curious how it all breaksdown.
Yeah.
Like, are they already likefriends again?

(20:00):
Or are they not?
And and like d it does my momhave a little mountain cabin by
the river because that's whatshe always wanted.
I'm just curious.
Like that would be my onequestion I would ask.
And I think it's just becauseobviously I just lost both my
parents.
So obviously I'll have deeperquestions for Jesus, but that is
that's one that's just top ofmind.

SPEAKER_04 (20:18):
I think mine would be first of all, I would ask
Jesus why he um chose to makehis religion and like the
existence of humanity based onlove.
And I know that, like, oh, likewhy does God choose us?
And I know the answer is becausehe loves us, but my question is
like, why does he love us?
Why did he make that decisioninstead of you know doing
something else with people whoaren't sinful, which would be

(20:39):
leagues easier?

SPEAKER_01 (20:40):
Yeah.
Interesting.
That's good.
Ella, you wanna?

SPEAKER_05 (20:43):
I don't have one yet.

SPEAKER_01 (20:44):
Okay, I mine would be I would ask him this is a bit
selfish, but uh what's holdingme back from drawing closer to
you?
Like what's what am I not doingthat?
Well, that I'm not seeing, youknow what I mean?
Like, what am I not seeing inmyself that's not allowing me to
be closer to you than I am?
So that would be the thing thatI would want to know.

(21:05):
And then he would tell me somelaundry list of things and I'd
start to try to work on them.
So Okay.
All right, let's go.
Keep going.

SPEAKER_06 (21:14):
Okay, uh, these were just fun.
This was uh Kim asked like fiveuh questions.
So I'll just kind of we can justkind of go fast with these.
Uh most disgusting Christmasfood.
I can't think of one.

SPEAKER_01 (21:25):
Oh, oh, oh, oh, no, no, no, no, no, no.
This is easy.
Fruitcake.
Yeah, fruitcake.
I've never had it.
Oh, it's awful.

SPEAKER_06 (21:32):
That's because it doesn't exist in our family.
Well, it just doesn't look good.
Oh, no, no, it doesn't.
I don't like ham either.
My grandmother used to ship mygrandma was kind of fancy, and
she lived in Houston, and shewould shop at the big galleria.
So she'd send us like fancygifts, and I remember she would
send us a Neiman Marcusfruitcake when I was growing up.

SPEAKER_01 (21:49):
Did you eat it?

SPEAKER_06 (21:50):
I remember having like a bite of it as a kid.
I don't remember thinking thisis tremendous.
Yeah, I don't remember my mombeing excited about it.
It uh it was her mother-in-lawthat would send that as a gift.
Um, but yeah, I think herintentions were good.

SPEAKER_02 (22:05):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_06 (22:05):
Right?
But no.
Okay, so I agree with you on thefruitcake.
I can't think of anything elsethat's disgusting.
I like ham.

SPEAKER_01 (22:10):
I like I'm not a picky eater, so Yeah, no, I
don't think there's I don'tthink so.

SPEAKER_05 (22:16):
I mean, the yeah, the only yeah, I would just say
I don't like peanut brittle.
Oh, I love peanut brittle.

SPEAKER_01 (22:21):
Oh, I don't like peanut brittle.
Oh, I like peanut peanutbrittle.

SPEAKER_06 (22:23):
Oh, Ava, here you go.
This one's for you becauseyou'll have much to say about
this.

SPEAKER_04 (22:26):
Uh, lights on the house tasteful or over the top.
Oh my gosh.
Okay, so this is where my momand I diverge because I love the
Christmas lights that are allthe different colors.
I have them hanging up in mydorm.
Um, they can't be LED, they haveto be the different kind because
they're a little bit warmer.
I love them.
I uh the tree we can turn to thebright, fancy rainbow of colors.
I I literally, I love it somuch.
Okay.
I keep them in my dorm yearround.

(22:48):
Yeah, I think it's so cute.
I I love it.
I've seen people wrap their carsin it.
I think that's okay.

SPEAKER_01 (22:53):
Yeah, car car wrap.
Is that good or bad?

SPEAKER_05 (22:55):
Uh the thing I don't like, well, I don't like car
wrap because the only way youcan do car wrap effectively
without scratching your paint isthat blue tape.
So I've seen a ton of people doit recently with blue tape.
So in the daytime, it's so ugly.
It's just blue tape, like allover the place.
Oh, sorry, nighttime.
It's also illegal.

SPEAKER_01 (23:12):
Is it illegal?
Yeah.

SPEAKER_05 (23:13):
I think it's illegal.
Okay, it's illegal.

SPEAKER_01 (23:14):
We were driving up to Santa Fe the other night.
We won't buy a car that wastotally decked in the city.

SPEAKER_05 (23:19):
I was thinking about doing it, but I literally like
it.

SPEAKER_06 (23:22):
It was kind of funny.
Oh, it's crazy.
Ella knows a lot about cars, apparently.

SPEAKER_05 (23:25):
I'm just saying it is illegal.
It's also illegal to have thestuff on the back of your tires,
like all that light stuff.
It's all illegal.

SPEAKER_06 (23:30):
What about like the little, like the little dia
antlas that come out those outthe window?
That's what people used to do.
I remember back in the day.
Okay.
Um, wrapping paper or gift bags.
I just spent eight hours, no,six hours wrapping gifts.
So be careful.
It's wrapping paper.

SPEAKER_01 (23:46):
Oh, wrapping paper.

SPEAKER_06 (23:46):
You like wrapping paper.

SPEAKER_01 (23:47):
Well, if I'm giving you the gift, you're getting it
in a bag.
Oh, I'm aware of that.
Yeah, yeah.
But if but if you're giving me agift, yes, I'd love it to be
wrapped.

SPEAKER_06 (23:54):
I wrap and I have the velvet ribbon, and I just I
think and I color coordinateevery year.
I think it's like part of themagic.
It does take a long time towrap, though.
I spent literally spent sixhours wrapping.
Yeah.
And it wasn't like there wasthat many gifts.
It just takes me a long time towrap.

SPEAKER_01 (24:09):
You put care in each one.

SPEAKER_06 (24:10):
I do.
I mean, was anybody out there?
They did this, I don't know.
I grew up in the uh Girl Scoutmode, and we had to fundraise
our basketball team also.

SPEAKER_01 (24:19):
Yeah, you sell wrapping paper?
No.
Oh no.

SPEAKER_06 (24:21):
We sold our services of wrapping the gifts.
So we would be in the mall witha table, and you'd go shop.
This is back when people shoppedat the mall, and they would
bring all their gifts to us.

SPEAKER_01 (24:31):
So some teenage girl would be rapping your present.

SPEAKER_06 (24:33):
Yeah, and that was good.
That's where it, oh, they teachyou.
It wasn't like I just winged it.
They were like, this is how muchpaper you use, this is the
ribbons that you're allowed touse, these are the bows.
It was like a setup, and thenthey taught us how to rap, and I
loved it.
I volunteered for that one everysingle time, like multiple
times.
So I've always kind of been intothe rapping of gifts.
I think that's super fun.
So that's probably where thatstarted from.
Okay.
Uh Christmas movies beforeThanksgiving, yes or no?

(24:57):
No.

SPEAKER_01 (24:57):
No.

SPEAKER_06 (24:58):
No.
I say no.
Well, this year I've beenagainst Christmas movies.

SPEAKER_05 (25:01):
I don't know what it is.

SPEAKER_06 (25:02):
Well, I understand this.
We haven't seen, I haven't seena single Christmas movie.
And it is uh this Christmas, thethe rails have fallen off a
little bit for me.
There's no decorations on ourChristmas movies.
I love the holiday.
The holiday.
That's not a Christmas movie.
It is for me.
I love the holiday.
I love it.
I love it.
Kate Winslett and Cameron Diaz.
I think it's so great.
It's my favorite.
I like the Family Stone.

(25:22):
It's got a little bit of.

SPEAKER_05 (25:23):
Those are not Christmas movies.
They're just set in winter.

unknown (25:26):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_05 (25:26):
No, no, Christmas.

SPEAKER_01 (25:27):
The Family Stone is absolutely set.

SPEAKER_06 (25:28):
They're absolutely set at Christmas.
Did she die at the end?

SPEAKER_01 (25:30):
Uh let's not record that.

SPEAKER_06 (25:32):
It came out like 30 years ago.
It's a brand new movie.
We do not want to wreck it foranybody.

SPEAKER_01 (25:37):
Ava, favorite Christmas movie?

SPEAKER_04 (25:38):
Ooh, um, I like Home Alone 2.

SPEAKER_01 (25:41):
Okay.
Lost in New York.
Okay.
That's a good one.

SPEAKER_04 (25:43):
I also just love a good Hallmark movie that just is
a little like there's just acouple things.

SPEAKER_06 (25:48):
You know, hold on, William.
What I'm going back to your HomeAlone really quickly is is I
just saw this video from one ofthe pastors that I love, Josh
Horton.
I watch a lot of his clips.
Yeah.
And he was talking about howHome Alone has a Christian theme
to it.
And it was super interesting howhe dove into that.
He because there's, I guessthere's an older man character,

(26:09):
Kevin, the little kid, hisname's Kevin, I think, right?
Yeah.
He goes to a church, I think inwherever, some church.
I haven't seen Home Alone in, Idon't know, a hundred years.
But he goes into a church andthere's an older man there that
kind of has like arepresentation of kind of like
an angel kind of attitude, andhe's all alone, and they're
talking, and he's asking himabout things.
Okay.
And he kind of gives him thissense of peace, and he looks

(26:29):
down at his hand spandaged.

SPEAKER_02 (26:30):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_06 (26:30):
And it's on the back and the front of his hand.
And they they don't ever tellyou what's happening and why
it's like that.
Weird.
And that is weird.
And then it goes on.
It's all these little hiddensymbols of it being a Christian
film.
And he goes up to see thenativity scene and everything.
I don't know.
I thought it was kind of a cooltie-in to that.
But anyway, okay, sidebar.
Dad, what's yours?

SPEAKER_01 (26:49):
Uh I would say probably Christmas Vacation.

SPEAKER_06 (26:52):
Well, that's a good one.

SPEAKER_05 (26:53):
Spare you to say that.
Yes.

SPEAKER_01 (26:55):
Yeah.
And then Elf is fantastic.

SPEAKER_05 (26:57):
Oh, I love Elf.
Elf is great.

SPEAKER_01 (26:58):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_05 (26:59):
Um, I always like Elf.
And then I like the Santa Claus.

SPEAKER_01 (27:01):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_05 (27:02):
Which is weird.

SPEAKER_02 (27:03):
Santa Claus is good.

SPEAKER_05 (27:04):
Because I know a lot of people like hate on it.
But last Christmas, me and Dadsat down and watched all the
things.
I was there too.
There's only three all there.
We watched all four.

SPEAKER_06 (27:13):
There's four.
We watched the quadrupology ofthe first time.

SPEAKER_04 (27:17):
I watched at least the first two of you.

SPEAKER_06 (27:19):
But I love that it was just you two, and even
though we're in the room.

SPEAKER_05 (27:22):
I don't think that you guys were locked in.
That's why I wasn't thinkingabout it.

SPEAKER_01 (27:26):
We were dialed in.

SPEAKER_05 (27:27):
I didn't know there were four.

SPEAKER_06 (27:28):
I have to wrap presents and do Christmas.
What the heck is a quadrupology?
It's a word I just made up.
Okay, uh uh finally, real treeor fake tree?
Real tree.
I wish we had a real tree.

SPEAKER_01 (27:40):
Both.
Really?

SPEAKER_06 (27:41):
I mean, no, I'm sorry.
I grew up with real trees.
I know that they're likeamazing, yada, yada, yada.
They smell good.
I get it.
I get it.
I get it.
No.
If you're the person that'sdecorating, you want the fake
tree.
And I'm sorry, maybe you lovethe real tree.

SPEAKER_01 (27:55):
But if you're in the mountains, you gotta get tree.
You gotta get a real tree.

SPEAKER_06 (27:57):
Okay.
Fine, but you're the one.
I mean, those needles come offlike that.
You have to constantly uh giveit water.
Yeah.
I remember my dogs used to goand drink the water out of it.

SPEAKER_05 (28:08):
No.
They don't do that.
Anyway.
I don't know.
Because I like real trees, and Ithink they would look cool if
you got them in like a placelike Angel Fire.
But if you get them inAlbuquerque, all the people I
know in Albuquerque that havereal trees, they're all shaped
like like they're kind of likesadder because they're from
Albuquerque or like Well, they're not from Albuquerque.
They're like a little bit of themountain.
Yeah, they're just not as likethey're thinner.

SPEAKER_06 (28:28):
Like I would kind of tree.

SPEAKER_05 (28:29):
I don't know.
Ponderosa, I think.
Is it a Ponderosa?
I would prefer just like I don'tknow.
I think I would just prefer likea fake tree because it just
looks better.
But I think if you live in likea town with like a place with
like Angel Fire, like reallynice trees, I think it will be
worth the effort.

SPEAKER_06 (28:43):
The only time to get a fake tree, a real tree, in my
opinion, is if you're gonna goas a family and cut it down
yourself.

SPEAKER_01 (28:48):
Yeah.
That's when it's then that lastsa while, a while, too.

SPEAKER_06 (28:51):
That's a cool moment.
It created a memory, and thenit's to me it's worth it.
Other than that, oh my goodnessgracious, the clean up alone.
Sorry.
I do have one more question.
Yeah.

SPEAKER_04 (28:59):
I do want to know what everybody's favorite gift
is that they've gotten.
Oh, well, why don't you start?
Okay.
Um, when I was, I think 11, Igot a typewriter.
Uh I actually have two, but theone I like the most is this
really pretty black epochtypewriter.
Um and it's just a really nicemachine.
I'm really glad I got it.
And I use it on specialoccasions.

SPEAKER_01 (29:19):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_04 (29:19):
Okay.
Okay.
You?
Do you have one?
I mean that you haven'treturned.

SPEAKER_01 (29:23):
I got a uh when I was a kid, I got a little United
Airlines plane that if you pushit, you put batteries in it, it
it cruises in taxis around thehouse with the little lights.
So I thought that was smaller.

SPEAKER_05 (29:35):
That's very sweet.
What about you, Els?
Um, I don't know.
I mean, I think I've had likereally good gifts, so I just
like kind of look back at likerandom things.
But I think the ones I rememberthe most were when we me and Ava
used to have American GirlDolls, and you guys would get us
like the hairdresser sets orlike the clothing and all that
stuff.

SPEAKER_06 (29:52):
Again, Neff said.
I know it's totally worth yourmoney.
Guys, don't say you guys.
There was no you guys gettingthat.
He wasn't in the American GirlDoll store.
I'm sorry.
Mom getting us American GirlDoll merch or whatever.

SPEAKER_01 (30:03):
Taking all the credit.

SPEAKER_05 (30:04):
Yeah.
Yeah.
Uh for this.
And we got our American GirlDoll hair done around Christmas
as well.
Like we got to do all that.
So that was fun.
I remember Mark.
That was fun.

SPEAKER_06 (30:10):
Do you remember that store?
We took the girls to get theirAmerican Girl Doll hair done on
the way up at Christmas to mysister's.
We stopped at the ColoradoSprings location.
We walk and we had appointments.
Yeah.
And you're like, wait, what arewe doing here?
And it was crazy busy.
And I'm like, we're taking thesedolls to a hair salon inside the
doll store.
And you go, why?
And I was like, have you seentheir hair?

(30:32):
It looks pretty bad.
They had real they had reallynice hair afterwards.

SPEAKER_01 (30:34):
And they do that like they could actually like
take that doll hair and make itlook new again.

SPEAKER_06 (30:38):
These girls had wrecked the girls' hair, their
daughter because they werelittle kids.
Like they were playing theircars.

SPEAKER_01 (30:42):
This is all bedraggled going in, and then
you come out and you were like,I will be in the car.
And you were like, I do, Ivaguely remember that story.

SPEAKER_04 (30:49):
Oh, it's really fun.

SPEAKER_05 (30:51):
The hoverboards were fun too.
Yeah, I do remember thehoverboards.
I'm cool.
You guys got me one that waslike different than Ava's, I
guess, and it was cheap and itsucked, and I had to get like
three after that because theyjust broke.

SPEAKER_01 (31:01):
Yeah, see, that's what happened.

SPEAKER_05 (31:02):
Do you remember that?

SPEAKER_04 (31:02):
They broke like one after the other.

SPEAKER_05 (31:04):
They all just broke five.

SPEAKER_04 (31:05):
They were not brand, like they were not great when
they just come out when we weredoing them.
They still had like issues andthey were like exploding.

SPEAKER_05 (31:11):
Yeah, I would do four of them and we had a fall
off them because they would justbreak while I was riding them.

SPEAKER_01 (31:15):
It was why you don't cut corners, you get the shwin.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
