conceived in her is from theHoly Spirit.
She will give birth to a son,and you are to name him Jesus,
because he will save his peoplefrom their sins.

Joseph also went up from thetown of Nazareth in Galilee, to

pregnant.
While they were there the timecame for her to give birth.
(01:53):
Then she gave birth to herfirstborn son, and she wrapped
him tightly in cloth, and laidhim in a manger, because there
was no guest room available forthem.
In the same region shepherdswere staying out in the fields
and keeping watch at night overtheir flock.
Then an angel of the Lord stoodbefore them, and the Lord and

his glory shone around them, andthey were terrified.
But the angel said to them,Don't be afraid, for look, I

When the angels had left themand returned to heaven, the
shepherds said to one another,Let's go straight to Bethlehem
and see what has happened, whichthe Lord has made known to us.
(02:57):
They hurried off and found bothMary and Joseph and the baby who
was lying in the manger.
After seeing them they reportedthe message they were told about

meditating on them.
The shepherds returnedglorifying and praising God for

After Jesus was born inBethlehem of Judea in the days
of King Herod, wise men from theeast arrived in Jerusalem,
(04:07):
saying, Who is he who has beenborn king of the Jews?
For we saw his star at itsrising and have come to worship
him.
When King Herod heard this hewas deeply disturbed, and all

So he assembled all the chiefpriests and scribes of the
people and asked them where theMessiah would be born.
(04:27):
In Bethlehem of Judea, they toldhim, Because this is what was
written by the prophet, and you,Bethlehem in the land of Judah,
are by no means least among therulers of Judah, because out of
you will come a ruler who willshepherd my people Israel.
Then Herod secretly summoned thewise men and asked them the
exact time the star appeared.
(04:47):
He sent them to Bethlehem andsaid, Go and search carefully
for the child.
When you find him, report backto me so that I too can go and
worship him.
After hearing the king they wenton their way, and there it was,

It led them until it came andstopped above the place where
the child was.
When they saw the star they wereoverwhelmed with joy.
(05:08):
Entering the house they saw thechild with Mary, his mother, and
falling to their knees theyworshipped him.
Then they opened their treasuresand presented him with gifts,
gold, frankincense, and myrrh, and being warned in a dream not
to go back to Herod, theyreturned to their own country by
another route.
After they were gone, an angelof the Lord appeared to Joseph

in a dream, saying, Get up, takethe child and his mother, flee
to Egypt.
Stay there until I tell you, forHerod is about to search for the
child to kill him.
So he got up, took the child andhis mother during the night, and
escaped to Egypt.
He stayed there until Herod'sdeath, so that what was spoken
by the Lord through the prophetmight be fulfilled.
(05:53):
Out of Egypt I called my son.
Then Herod, when he realizedthat he had been outwitted by
the wise men, flew into a rage.
He gave orders to massacre allthe boys in and around Bethlehem
who were two years old andunder, in keeping with the time
he had learned from the wisemen.
Then what was spoken throughJeremiah the prophet was
(06:13):

Rachel weeping for her children, and she refused to be consoled
because they are no more.
After Herod died, an angel ofthe Lord appeared in a dream to
Joseph in Egypt, saying, Get up,take the child and his mother,
and go to the land of Israel, because those who intended to
(06:34):
kill the child are dead.
So he got up, took the child andhis mother, and entered the land
of Israel.
But when he heard that Archelauswas ruling over Judea in place
of his father Herod, he wasafraid to go there, and being
warned in a dream, he withdrewto the region of Galilee.
Then he went and settled in atown called Nazareth to fulfill
