Many of us probably know that Fanny Crosby wrote a crazy amount of hymns - – she wrote the words to over 8,000! And many of us probably know she was blind. But we wanted to include her in our “stories behind the songs,” series because there is so much more to her story - even some controversy! In this episode, we not only dive into Fanny Crosby's life, but the inspiration and situation behind two of her most famous hymns - To God be the Glory (our podcast theme song!) and Blessed Assurance.
