Many authors of beloved and beautiful hymns did not always have an easy life, nor did they always have a happy ending to their life here on earth. Famed hymn writer, Phillip P. Bliss was no exception. After struggling for years, Bliss finally seemed to have it all - a wife he adored, two healthy sons, notoriety as a singer, musician, and song writer, and a life dedicated to mission and evangelizing for God. But Bliss' bliss didn't last long, before tragedy struck. But out of that tragedy came his timeless, theologically rich hymn, "I Will Sing of My Redeemer."
