Stoy (00:00):
I'm hustling and hustling
and hustle hut and hustling.
(00:03):
Damnit, dj, I said, cut thatshit out.
God, I love that skit, butseriously hustling.
Is it making you burn out?
Is it giving you more income?
What's going on?
Let's get into it.
Today's episode, let's get realside hustles, right?
Trying to hustle to make sureyou got enough money to either
live or survive or get ahead.
Because we know damn wellsalaries are not keeping up with
inflation or what they'resupposed to be doing
(00:25):
historically.
I mean, CEOs are making millionswhile their average person's
making like 50, 60.
So let's be real about it.
Alright, so let's get into it.
Is side hustling and the hustleculture good or bad for you?
Uh, I believe it's bad for you.
I don't think you should behustling 24 7.
I don't think someone should beworking their ass off nine to
five.
Come home and work six tomidnight.
(00:46):
I don't believe that should bethe case.
Now, I'm not the one settingpeople's salaries and I don't
control, you know, the world.
Um, I'm also not settingtariffs, so who knows?
But ultimately what we should bedoing is getting paid what we're
worth, but we're not.
So what can we do?
A lot of people are doing sidehustles, whether that's, you
know, car delivery, they'restarting their own businesses.
Those businesses could be top tobottom, who knows what they are.
(01:09):
But ultimately we're trying tofigure that out, right.
So should you or should you not?
That is the question Today we'retalking about what some healing
side gigs or side hustles shouldbe.
That could be to help you, um,that don't provide burnout
because burnout is real on a,um, on average, there's studies
out there, I don't know, maybeI'll put it up here.
77% of employees at some pointget burnt out.
(01:32):
77% of us.
If they threw in businessowners, I would probably say
that's damn near 90 to 99%,right?
Everyone goes through some typeof burnout and that burnout,
when you're living in thatyou're not thriving, you're not
getting ahead, you're insurvival mode.
So a lot of your financialdecisions aren't lined up with
what you want them to do.
A lot of, uh, you way you live, and those things are not because
(01:54):
you are so stressed out and soburnt out that you are.
Numb or the opposite.
You are very emotional and itcauses issues with your
relationship.
So what are some ways to, toattack this and make sure that
we are getting the right sidehustles for ourselves?
One.
Set boundaries on what that isto be the timeframe, how much
energy you're gonna spend, andthen you calculate that into
with how much it's gonna cost, right?
(02:16):
To get started.
The second one is, outside of mysetting my boundaries, is it
aligned with what I'm passionateabout?
Do I care about writing aboutmoney and do articles and stuff
like that?
Yeah, I do.
You may not, you may find iteasier to, I don't know, write a
blog about baking.
My wife just made blueberrymuffins.
(02:37):
Uh, so now that's all I'mthinking about anyways.
Or third, does it fit to myentire life?
So set boundaries.
Am I passionate about it?
And third, does it fit what Ican actually physically do?
So what are some of thosehealing side hustles that people
can get into or you can get intotoday?
There are many out there andthose out there would constitute
be a ghost writer, writearticles or blogs and get paid
(03:00):
to do so.
Pretty easy one.
If you have something you'repassionate about, you care
about, you do research, go aheadand and type up articles.
There are ones paying out there.
All over the place for those bea pet sitter, maybe a pet
walker, right?
You love animals.
Maybe go volunteer or do somethings around the pets to get
paid for doing so.
Pet sitting, pet walking, youname it.
Those are gonna be out there foryou.
(03:21):
What about some type of onlineguide or res resource that you
provide?
I'm not saying all those coursesand all those things, but a, a
guide or something that you canprovide to sell, and four, we
see it all the time, whetherit's on Etsy or whatever's out
there, having some productthat's homemade that.
Is near and dear to your passionand heart and selling it because
there's a bunch of others outthere that are wanting to do the
(03:42):
exact same thing.
So you tell me, are those sidegigs and side hustles something
that are gonna take a lot ofenergy and burn you out, or are
those more healing and allowingyou to live the life that you
want to live in in a differentway while providing some type of
extra income?
Think about what you want to donow.
Personally, I'm a businessowner.
I try to push everyone to be abusiness owner.
There's way more flexibility.
(04:03):
There's more things to do, butthat's a different type of risk,
and that is a different, wholedifferent video that we'll be
doing about being a businessowner and sales versus not sales
and WW two people versus not.
Um, we'll get into that onelater, but today we're talking
about the side hustle.
So from the top we talked aboutwe're hustling, but are we
causing burnout?
How can we not achieve burnoutwith different types of side
(04:26):
hustles?
And at the end of the day, whatis going to be best for you,
your family, your loved ones.
To achieve what goals that youhave.
Think about it.
Come at the comment section.
Maybe others can say, Hey, thisis what I'm doing as a side
hustle.
I know we've had on no BSwealth.
We've had others that havestarted transportation companies
as a side hustle.
Uh, laundry mats.
Uh, vending machines.
(04:46):
Vending machines is huge.
One.
Check that out too.
So they're out there.
It's just a matter of what youwant to do for you to take that
leap with your family.
I mean, what's, what's betterthan being a business owner?
Nothing provides flexibility, but I couldn't imagine trying to
(05:09):
keep up with these salariesright now.
