Forget the dictionary definition – this isn't about your bank account or the zeros behind your name. In this no-holds-barred episode, I rip apart society's obsession with money and expose what ACTUALLY matters when we talk about wealth.

70% of Americans claim they want memories over money. But are you LIVING that truth or just talking about it?

Through my raw experiences as a financial planner – from the streets of Africa to the boardrooms of America – I've discovered one undeniable fact: the relentless pursuit of cash won't give you what you're really after.

True wealth? It's defined by your joy and happiness with yourself, your loved ones, your ability to give back, and living life on YOUR terms with whatever means you have.

Listen as I break down:

  • Why more zeros behind your name won't fix your life (they'll just amplify who you already are)
  • The counterintuitive truth about focusing on experiences instead of money
  • How the golden rule creates real abundance in your life

If you're tired of chasing dollars while life passes you by, this episode will punch you in the gut with the reality check you need.

Stoy (00:00):
70% of Americans actually say that they want the memories

(00:03):
and the experiences over money.
Ha, let's get real, because thatis exactly what I'm talking
about.
True wealth, the definition ofwealth.
Yeah.
I know the actual like, youknow, dictionary definition, um,
but I'm not talking about that.
'cause that's neither here northere.
That's not how people live.
Uh, what I am talking about iseveryone's conversation between
with wealth and being rich.

(00:24):
Money, not money.
Those conversations, and we'regonna dive into that today
because you're gonna get.
My definition, and I think it'sone of the best ones out there.
So what is that definition, sto?
Well, it's very simple.
True wealth is defined by yourjoy and happiness with yourself,
with your loved ones, being ableto provide back to others and
living life on your terms withthe means at which you have.

(00:48):
Yeah, yeah.
I know, I know a lot of coolwords and such story, the How'd
you come up with that?
But ultimately over my, my timeand experience as a financial
planner.
Both traveling to Africa andnot, and being here in the
United States, I have found onething.
About money.
It really doesn't matter.
You can't die with it.
You know, you hear all thosestories about people who came to
death and they saw theirmemories before they die.

(01:09):
They didn't think about money.
They thought about theexperiences and the memories
that they have with their lovedones, watching their kids grow
up, which I can say is one ofthe most phenomenal things there
is.
Watching their business dreamscome into play.
Traveling, obviously go toHawaii.
Full disclosure, that's where Ilove to be, but also they're
always thinking about thosethings.
Now you tell me if that's money.
Now when we roll, you need touse money in order to achieve

(01:32):
some of those things.
But at the end of the day, thememories are the things that you
keep with you, things thatactually truly matter to us as
humans.
So why are we always so focusedon the money and not trying to
figure out a way to do thememories?
So lemme go down this pipeline alittle bit with you with this
stat.
There's a survey out there thatsays 40% of people define wealth

(01:52):
with wellbeing.
So you tell me.
Wellbeing, what does that meanto you?
To me, that means I'm doinggood, right?
I'm well, but I'm living in themoment of what my life is
supposed to be, not necessarilywhat others are supposed to be
speaking about, right?
And so let's get back down toRich first.
Wealthy, to me, rich is allabout the money.
I'm worth.
Millions of dollars, a hundredmillions of dollars, all of

(02:15):
that.
And everything in my life isdesigned around getting more
money.
More money, more money, moremoney.
Mo proud.
But that comes with the caveatof then what happens to the
memories, the loved ones, etcetera.
A lot of you right now are gonnabe thinking about, Hey, but if I
was rich, I could do all thosethings in my experience and
those out there as well, mycolleagues, you can see this,

(02:37):
the more zero someone has behindthem doesn't necessarily change
them in their behaviors, itstrengthens their behaviors.
So if you're already a shittyperson, you're just gonna be
shittier with more money.
If you're already a person thatloves others and want gives
back, you're just gonna do moreof that.
So again, it has nothing to dowith the zeros.
It's about who you are.
That's what wealth's about.

(02:57):
So let's stop focusing on, hey,how much money I can achieve to
do things, but let's focus on,hey, I want to go do those
things, and I will guarantee youthis if you're focusing on those
memories and experiences.
The money will follow it, right?
Your ability to, to put moneyand spend money on that memory
will happen for you becauseyou're not focused hyperfocused
on this.

(03:17):
As the result you'rehyperfocused on being able to
give back to others, and forsome reason, as humans, when we
focus on giving back to others, good things happen to us.
Whether you're religious, not,or whatever you believe in.
It's the golden rule.
If I do good for others, goodthings happen to me.
So let's focus on, on that andreally transition your thinking
towards what True Wealth is.
