E. Harvie Ward is remembered as one of the greatest amateurs in golf history. A Tarboro, N.C. native, he won both the U.S. Amateur (1955, 1956) and the British Amateur (1952), plus the NCAA and Canadian Amateur titles. He competed in 10 Masters, finishing in the Top 24 four times, and played in the famous 1956 Pebble Beach match against Ben Hogan and Byron Nelson — called “The Greatest Match Ever Played.”

Ward later became a respected teacher and mentor, coaching major champion Payne Stewart and inspiring countless golfers at Pine Needles in Pinehurst. Known for his short game brilliance, warm personality, and love of competition, his legacy endures in golf history.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
