La UTE es la empresa más grande del Uruguay, entrega energía a más de 1.400.000 clientes, exporta a países vecinos y tiene un patrimonio de 8.000 millones de dólares. La AUTE es el sindicato que ha defendido que la UTE siga siendo pública.
