En los años 80s, la comunidad de Morovis enfrentó la amenaza de un nuevo desarrollo turístico cerca de las cavernas de Cabachuelas. Para defender el espacio nació el Proyecto Cabachuelas, una iniciativa de ecoturismo cooperativo que protege el sistema de cuevas y cavernas. Hablamos con José Santos Valderrama, presidente de Cabacoop, la cooperativa turística que protege el área y sirve como fuente de trabajo local y busca que los residentes de Morovis puedan permanecer.
