Dr. Kengia Sabree holds a B.S. degree in Health Information Management from DeVry University, an M.S. degree in Instructional Design and Technology from Walden University, and completed her doctoral coursework in Higher Education Leadership and Management at Capella University in 2020. She also earned her RHIT in 2008, superseding it with the RHIA in 2010. Kengia is originally from "Da Bronx", but moved to Tampa in 2009. Over the years, she has held numerous leadership positions in Health Information Management in several hospitals throughout the Tampa Bay Area. Kengia transitioned into education as an Adjunct instructor for a Health Information Technology program in 2011 and has been teaching ever since. Kengia found her passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping HIM students and professionals alike, earn their certification and begin their journey in HIM.
