Music. Afternoon Non move podcast.

(01:03):
This is Chief 316 coming at you for a recap of the Kansas City
Chiefs and Buffalo Bills game. Hey, Chiefs had a buy a week.
We decided to give ourselves a buy a week, kind of just take a
time and take a breather at least from the Chiefs recap and
just kind of just collect our thoughts because that was a

(01:24):
pretty rough game. We got JV in the house with us.
JV, how's it going, man? What's up, nomination, What's
up, Chief Ivan, what's going on,Michael, what's up?
So what have you guys? Not much man like you said just
just decided to get. Take a bye week.

(01:45):
Wrong. So we needed it.
So yeah, a little bit of time toreflect.
I'll tell you because it was an interesting bye week as far as
the Kansas City Chiefs are concerned and the Buffalo Bills
are concerned. I mean Buffalo Bills, they came
out, they they won. They plain and simple.
There's a pretty back and forth,pretty rough.

(02:09):
There are a few things that I saw that ticky tack you they
could have called they didn't. I wasn't there wasn't really
anything outside as far as callswise first reaction that
honestly were blatant like hey, that was a clear mistake on
their part Refs, refs messed up.No, this was back and forth.
They called some things on us. They called some things on
Buffalo. This is what it is.

(02:31):
I'm ready to move on and keep going.
It just makes this season just alittle bit harder now because a
week later you see Buffalo absolutely get embarrassed by
the Miami Dolphins last weekend. So now we now we just made that
a whole lot harder. But I wanted to go through the
project or the the stats with you real quick just to kind of

(02:54):
show you the update of where Mahomes is at.
So right now he's at 2349 passing yards.
Isaiah Pacheco, still your leading rusher at 3:29 and then
your leading receiver is still Travis Kelsey with 540 yards.

(03:16):
So still kind of normal, normal stats there as far as your.
Offices. Crazy waters?
Really. Yeah, and let's see here I at
least want to point this out just so that way it can be
known. Patrick Mahomes is now the third
leading rusher for the team. Graham Hunt did.

(03:39):
Graham Hunt finally overtook him, But it's not by much.
It's 285 to 294. So little victories, Little
victories. Yep, that's all that matters,
man, really all that matters. And you know, I mean, we're
getting better at the running game, to be honest.
Oh wow. So your two, so your top three

(04:01):
receivers still Kelsey HollywoodBrown and Taekwon Thornton.
Yeah, not no surprise there. So I I got to say that as far as
the offense is moving, they're they're doing all right.
They got a few things to clean up.
They let's see here. As far as your defense is

(04:22):
concerned, your leading tackler is still Shamari Connor.
He is. Let's see here.
Shmari Connor has 38 tackles, Nick Bolton is right behind him
at 35 and you also have Trent Mcduffie at 32.

(04:43):
Wow. So you still have that, your
sacks leader this season so far and I wanted to go through this
just because it is after a bye week and we got everything taken
care of there. Your sack leader right now is
Mr. Karl Loftus with five, and then he's ahead of both Chris
Jones and Charles and many who who were both tied for two sacks

(05:07):
apiece. Wow, yeah, man, I hope they they
can get it together. What's the what's the line?
I mean, I know it's going to it's kind of iffy, man.
We can't even really judge the line because.

(05:29):
Last I saw yesterday, the line for Sunday's game against the
Denver Broncos. Three No.
Not the line. Oh not not that one.
Like our online? Like, oh, the online let me.
Let me. Go down and see here.
Let me see if there's anything that shows any rankings or
anything like that. Keep in mind all stats are
provided. I'm on the Chiefs website

(05:50):
themselves, so I'm not really seeing much as far as the
offensive line goes. But keep in mind, especially
during the Buffalo game, you also have, I mean, one thing as
far as it's no excuse for us, itis what it is.
As far as the game was concerned, we just got banged
up. I mean, you had you had you

(06:12):
finally had Joey Bosa just teeing off at what's that dude's
name, the swing tackle. Oh my gosh, this is how bad the
bye week is. My brain is off.
Who's the guy we brought in to who replaced who went back up
for Trent Williams? Jalen Moore.

(06:32):
Jalen Moore, There we go. I was literally looking at his
name. I had to find it.
Sorry about that. So Jalen Moore, I mean, Joey
Bose was just teeing off on him and making him and just it was
pretty bad. So it is what it is.
I will say this, they are, I mean, you had him, you had Trey
Smith, you also had Juwan Taylorout.

(06:55):
Honestly, it was just a bad gameand it shows that how lackluster
our depth is that offensive line.
So that's one thing we need to make sure and stay healthy.
And I and I said this to you, I said this to everybody on else
in the Not Move podcast. Honestly, this bye week couldn't
have come at a better time for the injuries we were sustaining

(07:16):
on the entire team from top to bottom.
I agree. I agree.
But I will say this as far as I'm not seeing much as far as
what we're looking for is rankings.
Let me see if I can pull up a quick ranking for our offensive
line. But I, I guess outside of the

(07:36):
injuries and banged up, what else did, what else did you see
that was a problem with the offensive line?
Is it just cohesion? Is it meshing?
Is it? Oh, well, I mean, well, I was
kind of looking to into the future.
I don't know. I know the Buffalo game, they
didn't really play that well andwe got bumped up and and
injured. And like you said, it's a good

(07:56):
time for that to happen If if weare to run into injuries because
we're able to bounce back with, you know, the extra week.
Yeah, half a week and a half of time.
I, I just hope that Simmons being back to everything kind of
meshes and comes back to form, you know, especially going into

(08:19):
this, this Denver game. But no, that the, the, the bills
game, man. I, I mean, you, you can't really
ask much more of a guy, you know, and, and from what he did,
he did do pretty well. But you know, we need that

(08:40):
number one left tackle back in the game, man.
So I want to put this out right now.
So this keep in mind this I'm did a quick Google search says
according to Google AI, according to Pro Football Focus,
we have the third overall rankedoffensive line behind the Colts

(09:01):
and the Broncos. So that's very interesting.
I did not. Yeah, that's that's crazy.
I didn't know that. I know the Chiefs are.
What do you call it? I mean, before the Buffalo game,

(09:21):
we essentially I can, I was making the case there was no
better offensive line in football at that time, even with
Jalen Moore at left tackle, likethey were still just teeing off
and Mahomes was able to put things down.
Now keep in mind matchups we hadwe had the Raiders, we had the
Lions, we had we had a few guys right there that were honestly

(09:42):
that I mean, it was just at the right time.
So we'll see how I mean, we'll see how it continues moving
forward. So I'm gosh, I I was I wasn't
even devastated. I picked us to lose, but.
Yeah, I, I was like kind of trying to do the whole thing of
like reverse psychology, like, hey, yeah, we're going to lose.

(10:05):
And I'm like hoping like in the background like.
Fingers crossed. You know, and then we win.
But it didn't happen. You know, I was like, oh, man,
maybe this time, like, for instance, I was like, oh, maybe
this time she picks the wrong one.
I picked the right one. Yeah.
And then we lost. I mean, like I said, man, I
already. And you know, we know how this

(10:27):
Easton Bills game goes during the regular season.
There's there's not, you know, if anybody's going to try to
tell me that Andy Reid plays thewhole playbook against the
Bulls, you don't know Ball. Just saying because, yeah,

(10:48):
that's definitely not the case. You look at it again, you look
at the last four times that we met, not just this last time.
Yeah. For #5 But the way that we play
in the the we what's crazy is, is like we, we play like a very
like bland game and teams barelybeat us.
Yeah, and it's and this is what one thing I was saying is we're

(11:12):
playing down to their level and we're essentially we get on a
run either we let them come backand we're essentially playing
their, you know, going with whatthe game gives you.
I think you need to play your game plan because this team can
spread the ball out. This team can do that
regardless. Like not, I know we are going to
have an episode previewing the game this weekend with the

(11:34):
Denver Broncos Sunday 325 on CBSbut or 425 Eastern.
Excuse me. But my thing is, is you have to
play your game plan because right now that loss, we're out
of the play offs. We're looking in the play offs.
We are 8. We are the eighth seed right
now. The worst thing you we have to
here's the three things we have to hope for.

(11:56):
We have to hope for the Chargers, the Bills and the
Jaguars to have one of those teams colossally meltdown.
We are looking, we are, we have our backs against the wall at
this point and I and that's the thing that was we cannot tie
with either the Buffalo Bills orthe Jacksonville Jaguars.

(12:16):
And at this point also the Chargers because they beat us in
week one in Brazil. So we have our work cut out for
us now. Also, I am an analytics guy.
I'm a math I, I love math, don'task me why, but right now we
have a 28% chance of winning thedivision still.
We also have an 80% chance of still making the playoffs.

(12:38):
At this point, I just want to take it game by game and make
sure that we can clinch a playoff berth.
If we have a chance to make go on a little run and somehow
contend for the division, let's go.
But until then, I'm worried about getting in the dance at
this point. Yeah, I agree.
I agree. I'm just worried about getting

(12:59):
into the play offs, like I said, you know, off the air a few
times, man. This could be the first time in
9-10 years that we're looking ata whole different playoff
situation without not only the Chiefs, but the Bills and the
Ravens as well. You know, yeah, I mean, this is
a totally different year. And, and man, like I said, man,

(13:23):
I'm just more worried about getting in.
You know, I we, we got to win. We got to pull, you know, that
playbook out, open it up just a little bit more, you know,
because we're we're not going against those slouch.
I mean, Denver is they, they have been winning their games
late, you know, like the Chiefs were last year.

(13:46):
When does that magic run out? You know, that's the real
question because they are comingin pretty injured to this game.
Well. You know, they're coming in
pretty banged up. I already looked at the injury
report just to kind of get some notes ready and everything else.
They have a few key pieces out, but who?
Did we lose? Who did we lose?
Let's say that for later, but who did we lose this last week?

(14:09):
Who did we gain to the injury report?
Everybody's a full go except forPacheco.
OK, so if we. Check those out.
Everyone else full go at this. Point.
Nice. So I'm going to actually let me
go ahead and just recheck that real quick 'cause I was just
kind of I had the AFC playoff picture up here.
I will say this just so that waywe are aware for context, us

(14:33):
being the eight seed, the Texansand the Ravens are right there.
The Texans are Ravens, the Texans and Ravens are at our are
right on our ankles. So I'm telling you, man, it's
backs against the wall at this point.
And I got to say this with as far as me being a Chiefs fan,

(14:54):
when this team and their backs are against the wall, there's
nobody else I'm going to ride with more than 15 at the helm.
So I I totally agree. I totally agree.
I. And and and reading and and

(15:15):
reading the homes I trust. Yes and and read Mahomes and
Beach I trust. So let me grab this injury
report. Give me just one second here,
but everything I looked at this morning or last night, excuse
me, let's see here. Zooming on in.

(15:36):
OK, so looks to be let me grab here.
Wow. Denver has a alarming amount of
people on their injury report this week.
Let's leave that for. Let's leave that for later.
Then yeah, yeah. Denver, yeah.
So looks to be everyone is a full go, just more except for
Pacheco. He is listed as out, but here's

(15:59):
everybody who is on the injury report at this point.
You had Karl Loftus, you had Hicks, you had a mini Hue, you
had Josh Simmons, you had Trey Smith, you had Jawan Taylor.
You also had Xavier Worthy. All those guys were on the
injury report and I'll list it as a full go.

(16:22):
Wow, nice. So we're going to get our
offensive line back. I just hope Trey Smith's back
doesn't flare up. That, that one is always one I'm
going to watch for the rest of the season.
Oh yeah, that back thing is, is no punk, man.
Yeah. And then see, now they see this
is the thing though. Now they switched it again for

(16:43):
Simmons. Now it was undisclosed reason,
now it's legitimate, Now it's non, non or non injured NIR and
then personal. So I don't think they're going
to say anything about it. Also, I wanted to address that.
I I haven't heard anything. I think they're going to keep

(17:04):
that tight lipped and not say a word.
Yeah, I agree. I haven't heard anything either.
So whatever it is, thoughts and prayers to Josh Simmons and his
family and whoever else is involved.
So but so I will say this, I'm not liking the fact even though
it's only one person. I didn't realize Isaiah

(17:26):
Pacheco's knee injury was that bad.
Yeah, it's not good, man. It's not good, I'll tell you
that. I isn't.
It like the MCL or or not none of.
Them I I think that I don't wantto be quoted on it.
Hold on, let me find out exactlybecause I, that's the only thing

(17:49):
I'll I don't like about these injury reports is they don't,
they just say, oh, it's in me. And then I can go to A and then
I can go to, you know, Adam Schefter and he'll have Oh yeah,
he's got a torn ligament. I'm like but.

(18:09):
Yeah, some of those reports you can't always try.
Yeah. What is So I guess moving
forward with now you see how this injury report is everyone
but the check goes a full go, weget our offensive line back to
full strength, we're going in. What do you want to see moving
forward? I want to see that continuity of

(18:32):
that offensive line. I want to see Joe and and get
back to form. I also would like to see Mike
Pannell, yeah, get more active into the game.
You know, you, we know the statsof what it's been when he's came

(18:52):
back to Kansas City and stuff. You know, we don't really gotta
go into. I and I wanted to point this out
at least just once. Every time we've signed Mike
Pannell in the in the middle of the season, we've made it to the
bowl and won. Every time he's retained, we
didn't win so. Yep.

(19:13):
So, you know, a little bit of luck on our hopefully a little
bit of luck on our side. It is confirmed on NFL.com, knee
injuries specifically as brand MCL.
So we'll have to wait and see how long he'll be out for that.

(19:38):
That makes sense why they upgraded Clyde, which I think
they should rotate between Clydeand the rest of the guys on the
practice squad. Just because I I'm telling you,
Clyde wasn't moving me. I'm not moved by Clyde.

(19:58):
No, I'm not moved by Clyde either.
Like I said, man, sometimes it'sjust time to hang it up, bro.
And, you know, I, he's not even a, a, you know, break.
In case of of emergence B, you know he.
He legitimately his first run hetried to hit the a gap, it was

(20:19):
knocked back for negative a gainof -3 yards.
Yeah, it was. It was absolutely crash.
It was pretty, it was pretty rough watching that.
And I was just like, oh, I get it, you're giving those boys a
break, but damn, at least go forward, not backwards.
So well, I guess honestly, as far as the recap goes for the

(20:43):
Buffalo Bills and what kind of essentially went on through the
bye week. Also, I did want to say one more
thing. Yes, we did not do any trades.
We did have the trade deadline during the bye week.
I know there are reports out there which are true for US
trying to go after Breece Hall for The Jets and we offered The

(21:04):
Jets a fourth round. They obliged and said no, we
would like a third round pick orgreater.
And we said have a good day. And the reason being why I'm OK
with that is because Brettt, we only have 6 draft picks in the
coming draft. So we have to be very careful
with how we spend our draft capital considering also our
salary cap situation. We would have had to renegotiate

(21:27):
at the end of the season. And I got to tell you, I'm not
willing to pay a second, third or fourth round pick where we've
made our bread and butter with starters on a rental.
I, I don't like that idea. So I, I know I think you said
you would kind of felt a different way just because our
running back is in a dire need, but I, I don't like renting

(21:48):
players. Yeah, I don't like renting
players either, but you know, with upon Travis Kelsey retiring
next year, you know, Chris Jones.

(22:08):
And there's the speculation of that.
I do know, as far as what I've read online and what I've heard
through the beat writers, I knowthat this offseason, this coming
offseason, their two goals are to pay Trent Mcduffie and Rashi
Rice. Yes, secure and secure them
before they get a little too expensive, because I feel if

(22:31):
they don't, those, those gentlemen will become expensive.
Oh yeah. Especially rice.
Well, either way, either way, they're both going to be very.
Pricey, yes. So you you're still going to
get, I think as far as if I wanted to talk about that a
minute, you're going to be able to offer him less given the fact
of what happened in the pre and what's happened in the past,

(22:53):
kind of the same as what they had to do with Tyree Kell.
It is what it is. It's the market.
As far as Mcduffie goes, is it weird?
I could almost see him trying toreset a market.
No, no, it's not weird at all. I mean, he's how many times
Super Bowl champion? Yeah, yeah, 3/3 time.

(23:16):
Yeah, three time Super Bowl champion and or.
Carries a lot of. Weight or no two time Super Bowl
champion 'cause he was a rookie that season that we played the
Eagles the first time. Carries a lot of weight.
Yeah, that carries a lot of weight.
I think also there's an All pro mixed in there at some point
too, if I remember correctly. So let me see here.

(23:39):
But my, yeah, I say moving forward with the way the salary
cap situation is, with the way they didn't want to spend more
on a possible rental, I'm OK with it.
I wish we could have gotten someone, but at the same time I

(24:00):
I think we're at a good place right now.
Yeah. I mean, I think if our, our
draft picks were a little bit different, we would have got
them. I think it's more so a draft
pick situation, not really a capsituation or what's happening
next year. I think it's just draft picks.
And I guess I mean, maybe if it was a lower draft pick, they

(24:24):
could see themselves doing it with the, you know, lack of
funding or whatever. But yeah, third run draft pick.
They, they, they could get a starter for four to eight years.
Yes, and that's and that's one thing is I as far as teams go,

(24:45):
we are in the top 2 of being able to draft prime talent.
Now that I mean, every team doeshave it's, you know, it's A1
offs of, you know, you could sayDerek Noddy, you could make an
argument for Clyde Edwards Zillaire, but those are the only
two that honestly, in my opinion, as far as day one
starters where this team has lacked was Derek Naughty and

(25:07):
Clyde Edwards Zillaire. Everyone else in that in in the
draft I feel has been serviceable to an extent to
where they haven't been listed as a bust.
So and yeah, 2023 Trev Mcduffie's got your own got that
APO approach in just his second season.
So he's going to be, he's going to be a pretty penny by the way.

(25:31):
But but I think other than that, that covers everything that I
wanted to go through about this recap.
So you got anything else, JB? No, no, no.
That's it. I got you.
Well, JB, it's always a pleasureto see you.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
