(01:01):
Evening not moved podcast. None.
This is Chief 316 coming at you for that preview for Sunday 3425
Eastern 325 Central Broncos Chiefs.
I got JB in the house. We also have a special guest
this evening. We brought in Southgate our our

(01:22):
resident Broncos fan on the Not Move podcast who is available
tonight to join us. Southgate how you doing brother?
You know what, it is a Saturday night.
Just enjoy some time with the fam.
Now I'm up here just kind of chill with you guys for a little
bit. And JB, how are you tonight?
Decent, decent was good, was good.

(01:44):
Awesome. I'm glad to hear brothers.
So tonight we are going to breakdown this game.
Chiefs, Broncos, I mean, the actual game itself, major
playoff implications, major division implications as far as

(02:05):
seating goes, because I do believe we're going to have two,
if not three teams in the playoffs.
So it all depends on where we gofrom here.
So let's go ahead and break it down.
Southgate your initial reaction moving forward for this game.
My initial reaction before we get into any injury reports or
rankings of this and that, my first question is I've been

(02:28):
asked numerous times this week, do I think Denver can win?
What do I think my team needs todo to win?
You know, questions instead of that nature.
And right now, the way I look atit is we're still being treated

(02:52):
like the Chief's little brother.Last time I checked, we're eight
and two. We're in first place.
This is more of a must win for you guys.
So we're playing better football, I believe.
So why aren't people asking whatdo the Chiefs need to do to beat

(03:14):
us? And if we finally do pull off
this victory, will we get out from under your shadow yet or
no? OK, no, no, no, I, I to small
and to minutely answer your question.
I do believe so, yes, if you do win tomorrow because we, you

(03:36):
know how we feel about the week 18 match up last year with eight
starters out, you know that whole thing.
I do believe the way you guys are playing right now, I love
the way you guys are playing football.
I have to say straight up, if you guys are to win tomorrow, I
do believe you get out of that shadow.
I don't. What's 1 regular season win get

(03:59):
you out of that shadow for you know, I think it takes more than
that. I mean, what is what is the
record? I mean, Mahomes is, I know,
like. He's 12 and one against the
Broncos, yeah. So I mean, like, and I get it,
like who's been there before during that whole time period,
but we could we could flip this whole script and say the same

(04:20):
thing when the Broncos were in top and the Chiefs hadn't been
shit for until since the 90s, you know what I'm saying?
So we go both ways. So no, you know, and it's taking
the Chiefs up until to get Mahomes to get out of the
limelight of being the little brother to John Elway and Jake
Plummer and and and and Peyton Manning, you know.

(04:40):
So no, I don't think one regularseason game it dethrones it or
or gets, you know, you guys out of the shadows just quite yet.
I think it would have to be likea consistency of, you know, it
may be more a meaningful game do.
You think it would be winning the division this year or would

(05:05):
it still take winning the division multiple times?
I think at least, I think at least I think winning the
division more than just once. I mean, we've seen we've, we've,
we've seen nothing but the division run through Kansas City
for 12 years, you know, consecutive well.

(05:27):
No, no, no, it's been no, no, no, no.
We're going for a tenth straightconsecutive, OK, but so we're
going for our tenth straight, our tenth straight consecutive.
Now my question is moving forward with that is not just
because, because let's see, we went on a streak of, I think it
was we faced each other in September of 2015.

(05:49):
We lost at Arrowhead and then webeat, and this is in 2015.
We also beat the Denver Broncos at Mile High in 2015 and we went
on a streak until 2021 before the Denver Broncos beat us.
So, and that's one thing that I want to look at is, yes, there's

(06:09):
that streak. I think 1, if you can get out of
this, if you win this game, Southgate, yes, I think this
reignites the rivalry. OK.
I think this will reignite the rivalry.
Yes, you now have two teams in the same division, the Denver
Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs.

(06:30):
And the heat. Of the moment.
Yes. And, well, the heat of the
moment, yes, But they're actually both good.
They're actually both relevant to the NFL again.
Now I understand the whole 10 years straight, but you know,
I'm just like the way people talk to me, like my team is five
and five I. Got to talk to you.

(06:54):
Like my team was 4:00 and 9:00 last year and I was and I
finished fifteen and two. So it's one of those things
where I think as far as recency bias goes in the NFL, it's What
have you done for me lately and how are you winning the games?
Yeah. No, and it's because we scored
10 points against the Raiders. It's like we become a

(07:15):
laughingstock. I mean, I think it was partially
a windy game. And why Open up our playbook for
Andy Reid to watch the, you know, the week before the game.
Yeah. I mean, no, I don't.
I don't disagree with that whatsoever.
I also think with do. You think they've been opening
it up though, in the previous weeks when they've been trailing

(07:37):
in the fourth quarter and had tocome back and pull stuff out of
their pockets to win. Yeah.
But I mean, the whole thing is, see, now with this injury thing,
I mean, I I don't think he wantsutilize hobby that much because,

(08:00):
you know, you really don't want to let Reed know how he's going
to use him. Yeah, it's possible.
It's very well possible. You know, and, and that's why
and, and I will tell you this, Andy Reid is at the top as far
as coaches are and they, and he has been, even before he ever
came to Kansas City, he's been one of those guys.
But Sean Payton is right behind him as far as being able to

(08:23):
coach A-Team, guide A-Team and honestly out coach other
coaches. So I'm always going to give Sean
Payton that respect. So when you say he doesn't want
to give Andy Reid his entire playbook, I completely
understand that. Yeah, because I mean, he knows
Andy Reid is someone that can out coach him.
Yes, he's not he he can definitely he, he knows that

(08:46):
Andy Reid can play chess and Sean Payton can play checkers.
He's done it now for the past couple of seasons.
And it it's one of those situations where he's not going
to show his card first. He's going to let Andy Reid show
it first. Right, right.
So I and I, and you know what, Irespect it.

(09:07):
I do. I'm as much as it was weird with
Sean Payton, the NFC when he joined the Denver Broncos, was
it we're now in Season 3, right?Or 243?
Three. No.
Yeah. One season with Russell.
OK, one season with Russell and two with Beau.
So honestly, I cannot sit there and discredit this man for what

(09:28):
he's been able to pull off because yes, he won Week 18 last
year. The win still counts.
At the same time, there was still a decent game plan there.
Regardless. If you have eight of our
starters out, it is what it is. We move on.
But that's the thing that was Sean Payton put together an
excellent game plan so he could get his team into the play offs.

(09:49):
Well, even Week 10, going back to Week 10, I mean, they really
wanted that, that game back for that block kick.
Yeah, and. Then they didn't get it.
They didn't really get it. Like they got a win, but they
didn't get it against the starters.
That's what. You really want.
In Southgate, you can. In Southgate you can tell me

(10:12):
this. As far as that first game last
season with that blocked kick, Imean, you guys had control of
that game. You guys were moving the ball
down the field. Yes, we were able to keep right
on the coattails, but at the same time that defense was
taking care of business. Bo Nicks was doing his thing.
So when it all it came down to was special teams and that

(10:34):
wasn't the first kick that was almost blocked.
There were some potential secondone but it was just missed by a
couple of inches so. I mean special teams have been a
problem this year also. Oh, have they?
Yes. OK.
So is it, do you think it's going to be as much of a problem
as it was say a blocked tick situation?
Because like I noticed the firstcouple of weeks, I noticed

(10:56):
Marvin Mims did have some hiccups at the time as far as
returning punts, what is it? And then we had that field goal
penalty. In the Colts, oh the oh, the
what is that called? The what do they call that?
Was it like a Crouch rule? No, it was elevating or no, I'm

(11:20):
not elevating. Oh gosh, oh, let me look that up
real quick, because honestly, that's going to bother me not.
Right on the tip of my tongue. Well, the other player, they
say, jumps on, you know, over. The leverage, leverage,
leverage, leverage. There was a leverage penalty
that's. Leverage, as a matter of fact,
like the first time it's been called 12 years.

(11:42):
Yeah, which made no sense to me.I unless if there was a serious,
you know, as far as refs are, weweren't there.
We can't say that it was us. I think there was also another
missed extra point and a block field goal in another game.
It's a little late, I'm trying to coming out, but I definitely
remember that. But that ended up not costing us

(12:05):
the game. I think in the Philly game we
had a blocked extra point, but then we went for two.
Yeah. Now as far as the now I want to
ask you this, as far as the fourfourth quarter comebacks that
you guys have had this season, regardless of the opponent,
regardless of how big the deficit or anything else like
that, do you feel that that I'm going to use it as air quotes as

(12:29):
a business model? Do you feel that that is
sustainable? The the bet is sustainable.
No, no. Do you feel that being able to
make fourth quarter comebacks inevery single game is a
sustainable way to run the team? No, I mean, I rather be winning
from jump street, but I mean at the end of the day, you know, I

(12:56):
it's just a slow start. So I don't get it and I don't
know who to blame. Is it Bonex or is it the play
calling? I I just I haven't figured that
much out yet. Yeah, and that's the thing that
was, I know you and I have talked on the Tik Toks and, you
know, off air and everything else where I've honestly this,
the offense is a diesel engine, starts off cold, finishes hot.

(13:20):
And I have no problem with it. But at the same time with I
'cause I looked this up today, it showed me from as far as Pro
Football Focus was concerned, itshowed me that we were the, we
had a third ranked offensive line behind the Colts and the
Broncos. So if we can keep up that with

(13:42):
the with how good your defense is and how good our defense is,
do you think as far as the rankings go with your offense
goes, do you feel that you? Rankings are a funny thing.
Yeah, I was just going over rankings and if you go to six

(14:06):
different websites, they have mydefense ranked anywhere between
1 and 14. OK.
I mean, if you want real statistics, we are third in the
NFL and points allowed. We No, wait, wait, no, I'm

(14:27):
sorry. Third in the NFL and yards
allowed per game. We are 14th in the NFL on points
allowed. We are #1 in the NFL on holding
opponents in the red zone. The overall defense rankings I

(14:49):
just read this on Google vary between sources with some
listings high listing them as high as one and two, and some
and others listed them as low as12 and 14.
Wow. So it just goes to show you that

(15:14):
there's so many things to rank. It's what formula do you want to
put together? Yeah.
No, no, no. That makes complete.
Sense so I can take 6 items withmy team's one through 5 and rank
them #1 You could take 6 items with Denver's 5 through 9 and
rank them #8. Yeah, 'cause like it's putting

(15:36):
me right now as far as Google isconcerned, it's putting your
offense at 17th ranked. So, and, and, and that's the
thing that was, I mean, every site's going to have its own
metric, its own algorithm, its own depiction of how they want
to place you. And, but at the end of the day,
you know as well as I do you andI agree on this, The eye test is

(15:57):
the first. It's all about the yes.
And the eye test for me is rightnow this defense is just
starting, or excuse me, this offense is starting off slow.
And I don't know what it is because I've seen games where
you guys have dropped a 40 burger.
I've seen where you guys have start, you know, finished out
10/7. And it's all started the same

(16:20):
for me. And I've even, I'm trying to
figure it out, especially just because we're division rivals.
I want them to see exactly what you guys do.
And I just can't figure it out. I mean, it all goes back at the
end of the day. We don't remember our wins, but
we but we remember our losses, right?
Exactly 100%. I couldn't tell you who, you

(16:41):
know, how we got up 40 points onDallas or whatever, but I could
recite the leverage call, the time, how many yards we let up
and everything, you know, Yeah. Yeah.
Now I want to switch gears real quick on this, JB.
So now that so you and I did have our recording earlier today

(17:02):
regarding the recap of the Buffalo Bills game.
I want to kind of piggyback off that just a little bit.
I want to ask you really quick, JB, now that we are on the
preview for this weekend's game,I want to know your first
initial reaction with the game moving forward this weekend.

(17:22):
Like I said earlier today, offensive line, dude.
Yeah. Offensive line.
They had to control the trenches.
They got to, you know, stop that.
That mean defensive pass rush. Now, I don't think that they're

(17:45):
gonna stop it, but they definitely need to slow it down
tremendously. And can it be done?
I think so. Can Trey Smith slow down Nick
Benito? Right, right.
That's gonna be that's gonna be a good test.

(18:08):
I mean, it's he's had he's he's played some of the best.
So, you know, I think he's up for it.
But yeah, this is gonna be a test with our our offensive one
right here. You know, we really need this.
We really just how bad they wantit, you know?

(18:35):
We'll see, yeah. No, no, no, we'll definitely see
how it goes. I I think right there with you,
there's a lot of worrisome, especially, you know, we know
that what Andy Reid's record is off of a buy, but at the same
time, this game right here, thishas major playoff implications,
major seating implications within a division.

(18:56):
This is honestly as a as an organization, as the Kansas City
Chiefs with Patrick Holmes. I think we're we are in
uncharted territory for the first time in a good couple of
years. Yeah.
So. I, I I.
Definitely get. I definitely get where you're.
I can hear the worrisome in yourvoice.

(19:17):
I definitely. What was it?
What was it? What was it was in, I can't
remember. We we started one in five.
We're the last team to start onein five and make the playoffs.
Yeah, it was 10 years ago in the2015 season.
We started one and five. We went to Houston, got our
playoff victory, went to Foxboroand was a poorly clock

(19:40):
management situation away from beating the Patriots in Foxboro.
But we can leave that alone. PTSD so.
I mean, I'm just saying, I'm just saying, you know, and then
we went, we went what, two and five started 2:00 and 5:00
again, you know, So like, this is not uncharted waters.

(20:05):
No, but it's unfamiliar as far as the consistency since
2021222324, we basically went undefeated until at least week 6
or 7. So and and that's what I mean by
that. So, so now that we got that out
of the way, Southgate, what do you want to see out of your team

(20:27):
this weekend? Straight up.
I want to see a win, of course, but I'd like to see us get off
to an early start, even though we've been winning coming back
from behind. So I don't even know if that's a
good thing. The first thing I want to see is

(20:48):
everybody come out of the game healthy on both sides, but.
Yeah. I think the key to the game, I'm
not afraid of any one of the Chiefs except for Patrick
Mahomes, because he is the best,if not the second best to do it.
And I think Mahomes is hungry right now.

(21:09):
And I think the only way to stophim is to get pressure on him.
I mean, that's the only way to stop any great quarterback.
We've seen that and the elite quarterback is you have to force
them into making quick, bad decisions.
So if your offensive line holds up, we're in for a long day.

(21:32):
If we can apply the pressure andallow Mahomes to make mistakes,
then I think we'll be OK. OK.
No, no, no. That's great.
JB, First initial reaction for tomorrow in general, like what

(21:52):
do you want to see exactly? As far as a game plan goes, what
do you want to see? Do you want to see us?
You want to see the defense justimmediately get after it?
Do you want to see our offense completely just strike while the
iron's hot? Fresh off a bye.
That'd be my first. That'd be my inclination would

(22:13):
be to actually do you. Want to ask you guys a question.
Yeah, go for it. Do.
You think you guys are going to play Brashard Smith or you going
to try and establish the run game with Kareem Hunt or what?
So right now the way things havebeen going even before Pacheco
went down, they're trying to give Brashard Smith now that

(22:37):
they could realize they could trust him as far as pass
blocking goes, they've been giving him more looks.
The problem is, is I've seen himmore on check downs and as far
as you know, your minimal runs outside.
I still think as far as BrashardSmith is concerned, Cat's still

(22:58):
out of the bag on that one and I'm not sure what they plan to
do with him. I think he needs to get more
touches, but the hard part is, is how many.
You see what I'm saying? And what kind of touches are
they going to get? Are they going to keep him on?
Why not? Or are they going to run him?
Oh man, he ain't been able to. Get up through though the ball.

(23:19):
Unless there's something I'm missing, yeah.
You have been missing, but you're not missing a lot because
when he goes up, you know, and I'm furious.
He's not really gone anywhere. Well, that's what I'm saying is
you can't. Tell me he can't be somewhat
more of a better option than Kareemont.
I mean. Yeah, A.

(23:39):
Great running back, I just don'tthink he has that first step
anymore. No, Cream Hunt does not have
that first step. Anymore, he didn't even have a
step. No, he's got the step and it's
straight into the end zone. There's not no one two step.
There's no one two step. I know but but like you like you
were talking about earlier JB inprevious episodes.

(24:00):
Cream Hunt right now has the best conversion rating, not no
more. Better than a, really.
Yeah, well, last, Yeah, last week.
What was it, you know, two weeksago?
Yeah, you got stuff like 3 times.
Oh snap, I didn't realize that that would I?
I honestly it it's the that's the bad part of having a bye
week. You tend to forget what

(24:20):
happened. Yeah, yeah, yeah, asked it was
it, bro? But also, look at it this way,
Buffalo. Buffalo played their Super Bowl
against us and then got it and then got completely demolished
by Miami. But we'll keep on moving.
So, but no, I think as far as what you're saying about
Brashard, Smith, Southgate, I dothink they're still not

(24:43):
completely 100% sure what they want to do with this kid.
So. And that's what.
They want to do. I think The thing is is that.
Have you had many hooks out of the backfield?
Yeah. Yeah, it's a few, but it's it's
not. He's not getting anything.

(25:04):
That's it. Yeah, he's getting stuff.
He looks like Kareem Hunt. You're better off with Kareem
Hunt possibly busting through that that line, our initial hit
and and and taking off. Yeah.
But Burchard. But that's the thing though.
Cream Hunt is a yard after contact guy.

(25:25):
Burchard Smith is not. Burchard Smith is a busted
outside and let him cook becausethe guy's got legs and that's
the thing we. Started at one.
I put Kareem Hunt in there all day.
Oh, exactly, and that's the thing that was I'm also, and
this is one thing I also look at, you know, when it comes to
how the game can the game plan, excuse me, could possibly go

(25:45):
tomorrow in Denver. It's 69 and sunny like perfect
football weather. So we're not going to have any
issues with that. We're not going to have, you
know, 30 mile an hour winds and it being 40°.
Yeah. So.

(26:08):
I also have to see what happens with my run game, yeah.
I, I want to, I'm interested andI'll say this.
What is this situation with Harvey?
I know with JK Dobbins and his situation, which we'll get in
the injury report here in a second, but a.
Lot of people think that Dobbinswas signed before the draft.

(26:30):
He wasn't. He was signed after OTAs.
So I'm thinking that when Sean Payton drafted Harvey he had
different expectation. Now, like I said, world fans,
this is just speculation, but maybe he signed Dobbins with

(26:53):
seeing something in past walkingor some side effect that he
didn't like Adam Harvey and he he wanted him to work on it or
bring in, you know, went out thestatesman to maybe show him the
ropes on a few things. That's that's the best I can
think of. And there's nothing wrong with
that, especially as a veteran that has the reputation such as

(27:14):
JK Dobbins. I've aside from the injury bug
that he sustained with San Diegoand with Baltimore, when he's on
the field, he is that presence you want to have.
So I'm not going to, I'm not going to discredit the injury
for him, for him being out this week.
It's more or less of he's going to be able to sit there and

(27:35):
guide RJ Harvey because you all know as well as I do, RJ Harvey
is your future, at least for at least as of right now he is.
Right, right. So, so let's go ahead and break
down the injury report. And 1st, we're going to start
with the road team and the Chiefs.
So you have, let's see, George Karloftis, you have Jaden Hicks,

(28:01):
you have Charles and Many Hugh. You have Josh Simmons, you have
Trey Smith, you have Xavier Worthy.
You also have Jawan Taylor all full goes.
They're all listed as full goes for tomorrow.
The only one that is listed as out for the Kansas City Chiefs

(28:22):
tomorrow is Isaiah Pacheco. What is wrong with was he that
he was on the injury? Worthy's been on the injury
report on and off throughout theentire season.
This one is listed as an ankle injury, so yeah.
So he had the same injury beforethe bye week as far as right

(28:45):
before going into Buffalo. It's just been a lingering
situation. It's where he's never not
missed. It's never been listed as
questionable. He's always been a full go.
But that that injuries just there.
So on my side, I have Dobbins out.
So 10 out. Jonah Ellis is out.

(29:13):
Nate Atkins is out back up Thailand.
Alex Singleton is out Crawl. He didn't play much this year,
and the only other one of real significance is Ben Powers is
out, and he's been out since pretty much after the Jet game.

(29:37):
OK, he's not starting God. So was there in it.
So what about Garrett Wallow? Wallow.
He's your linebacker. It's listed, so I have injury.
Oh yeah, he's questionable. The.
Broncos activate. Them from injury was there sad.

(30:00):
Yeah, they activated them. The same activated them today.
OK, so it's and it's. Do you want to?
It looks to be a handy. Yeah, so, but he's good to go.
OK, all right. No, no, no, I'm just kind of
looking at that. You had also looks to be Trent

(30:23):
Sheffield. Trent Sheffield, yes.
Looks to be a toe injury, but he's listed as a full go so
that's not a problem. Nah, he's not even on the list
anymore. OK, yeah.
No, no, no, keep. This was put on, I think, posted
this morning. So yeah, you have Jonathan
Cooper's a FOGO, You have John Franklin Myers, he's a FOGO, And

(30:48):
then you have Marvin Mims Junior, who is listed.
As the only other little person I see was October 14th, Matt
Pearl Alpha, the tackle was put on.
So if I may ask, because this one is a little bit different,
when did Marvin Mims get that concussion?

(31:12):
Well, he didn't play. What was it last week?
OK. Hold on, let me double check.
OK, Yeah, I know. I was just, I was just kind of
looking over that as far as the injury report is concerned,
like, you know, regular injuries, your knees, your
hamstrings, I get that. It's, you know, week, you know

(31:32):
what week it is as far as duringthe season goes, it's week 10.
So you kind of have the issues right now of, well, what are we
supposed to do? Eric I.
Guess yes he got it. He got it on week 8.
He didn't play 9 and 10. OK.

(31:53):
So and then so going into week 11, he took two weeks off.
He looks to be a full go right there.
So good for him as far as the recovery is concerned.
And I know with Marvin Mims, as far as being your punt returner
first and foremost, that's goingto be something you're going to
need with outside of, you know, the dwelling line of PS2 being

(32:14):
out, out of the rest of your guys who are listed as out, who
is the biggest impact outside ofPatrick's or 10 Singleton?
Of course, Dobbins and Powers. OK, so do you trust Harvey to be

(32:36):
able to take over the fold whileJK Dobbins is out?
I think he can. I, I trust him until he gives
you a reason not to trust him. The times he's been on the
field, he's looked good. He scored touchdowns.
I haven't seen anything stupid out of him.
I haven't seen any bad plays. I haven't seen any.

(32:59):
You know, you know, he's mainly been in passing down, so I
haven't seen any, you know, him run any wrong routes or drop
balls or anything like that. Good, he's.
Giving me no reason not to trusthim.
See, and This is why I wanted todo this episode with you and at

(33:21):
least a resident Broncos fan. It's because one, this is this
is a division Game 2. I know as far as what the
implications of this game are for us tomorrow on both sides,
regardless if win or loss. I just I want to make sure that
we can cross every T and dot every I on this actual

(33:43):
prediction show. So moving forward, we get to the
absolute favorite part of my show, Southgate.
You know what that is? Go ahead.
You gotta say something nice about the Kansas City Chiefs
right now. Oh.

(34:08):
God, oh man. I'll go.
I'll go first. I'll say that the Broncos have a
good defense and you know, like, you know, every.
Time I think about saying something nice Jackson Mahomes
his face keep pop popping in my.Head.

(34:31):
It's better than something else.Popping how?
About this, how about this Southgate?
Why you're thinking I will actually take, I'll go, I'll go
2nd and I will say this, in the short amount of time since
Russell Wilson has exited Denver, you guys drafted Bonex,

(34:56):
you guys have put this offense together, you guys have put the
defense together. This is the most complete Denver
Broncos team I've seen in quite some time.
And quite frankly, as an AFC West fan, I love it.
Yes. I.
I'm going to say, as much as I dislike the man, I mean, I have

(35:21):
to admit Andy Reid is just one of the best coaches ever.
I mean he just just diabolical how that man just wins
everywhere. Yeah, I mean, can't say anything
different. You have.
He's even winning his head coach, for now, for two NFL

(35:42):
franchises. I know if he would have got a
Super Bowl in Philadelphia, he would have just been, yeah, the
greens have ever been, you know. What?
Yeah, you probably. You know what?
If he got that Super Bowl in Philadelphia, he might have
never left. Exactly, exactly.
He probably could have retired and just sat there and eaten

(36:03):
Philly cheese steaks the whole time.
So, all right, so now that we got through that, statistically,
from what you've seen from the Broncos, is there anything that
points out that we should be aware of that we should look out
for tomorrow? Just our defensive line, that's
it. I mean, if you can, like I said,

(36:27):
I, I, I think the key to the game and the more I think about
it is you just got you have to pass walk.
If you can pass, walk. I mean, you should beat us
because there's no one really scary on our offense.
Evan Ingram never showed up to be who he was going to be.

(36:48):
Colwin sons not playing good. I mean, the only bright spot on
our offense is Troy Franklin andwhatever Harvey could do.
I mean, if you guys can pass block, I think you could beat
us. It's as simple as that.
You brought up an interesting point because I've I've seen

(37:11):
some decent film and what's, what's Troy Franklin's story
essentially like? What is, is it just, is he
getting just good looks? Is he getting lucky?
Or is he? Can he be an actual mainstay on
your offense? Well, I mean, I think they're
more comfortable together because they played together on
Oregon. Oh, OK.

(37:32):
So it basically he's Aaron Rodgers, Alan Lazard I got.
You. Yeah, pretty much.
OK. OK.
That's like Denver, you know, took him in 24 drafts.
Disclaimer, I'm not any way, shape or form comparing Bonex or
Alan Lazard or Bonex or Troy Franklin, just using this
comparison. But no.

(37:54):
I mean, it's like when we lookedat when when party got hurt and
we've seen that Matt Jones and Kendrick Bourne had played
together before. Yeah.
Or Derek Carr and Devante Adams, because they were in college
together. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
OK. No, no, no, no, you're right on
that. I just want to make sure that

(38:15):
for the disclaimer, I don't liketo put.
Accolades out there. I just wish I knew what happened
to Courtland Son. I I mean, so I guess what's if I
have to ask you, is he just going through a case of the yips
or is is it he not getting looks?
What is it with Cortland Sutton?Because I've, we've both seen

(38:38):
games where he's been consistent.
We've both seen games where I mean the man couldn't catch
COVID. So he's.
Not getting no separation. OK.
Do you think he's just with his age, he's just starting to kind
of just leave that step? Maybe H caught up to him.
Maybe, you know, I mean, we did just win the extension before

(38:58):
the season. Maybe he just got, you know,
tired. And I mean, maybe he's just not
as hungry as he was because we did pay him right before the
season. I got you.
No, it's it's. It's a similar.
Situation with similar white receivers very unlike him, yeah.
Now with now JBI do have to ask you because I know I've spent a

(39:21):
little bit time focusing on Southgate and the Denver Broncos
with this weekend looking forward right here for us.
What do you want to see out of our offense?
Are you? I mean, with Pacheco out, I know
we're going to look at Brashard Smith to kind of take over that
fold right there. But outside of that, what do you

(39:41):
want to see else out of the offense just like you said
earlier today, consistency or cohesion or is it more or less
just, you know, completely just go off?
Man, definitely, definitely cohesion in the offensive line.

(40:05):
Again, stressing it and I'm going to say.
Putting pressure and not just pressure, but getting home and
and and sacking Bonex, just totally throwing him completely
off the game, his game kind of just just I guess getting up.

(40:30):
Early Can you hear him? I'm sorry.
Can you hear JB? Yeah.
I can't hear him at all. JB, are you there?
Yeah, yeah, I'm here. Yeah.
Oh, now I hear you. OK.
I hope you. All Part Sevens went through,

(40:50):
but I thought she was waiting for you to answer him all the
time. Oh, no, no, I can hear him.
We're good. We're.
Good. He turned his he turned his
hearing aid up. That's.
What he made. The old man.
Anyways, yeah, I think, I think between our offensive line and

(41:11):
our defensive line, maybe not just the defensive line, but
defensive unit, we got to, we got to be the the Big Brother
and and do the thumping, you know, yeah.
And, and I'm right there with you as far as what I want to see
out of this, out of our team. This weekend, one more thing

(41:33):
Harrison Bucker needs to make his kicks and keep and keep and
keep and keep the kickoffs inbounds.
Yeah, don't do that. Don't do that.
That knuckleball. Don't do that shit.
Just yeah, I'd rather you throw.I'd rather you throw.
I'd rather you kick touchbacks than do that knuckleball,

(41:55):
because that knuckleball just stresses the fuck out of me.
Now I will say this, as far as what I want to see out of our
team on offense, keep doing whatyou're doing.
Keep matriculating the ball downthe field, pun intended.
But as far as the defense is concerned, don't miss and get
home. Right.

(42:16):
Right, that's that's what I needto see.
Don't miss and get home. I want to see Chris Jones step
up. I want to see Chris Jones
actually be the guy who's getting double and triple teamed
to let the other guys eat. I want to see Chris Jones
finally wake up, get off the couch, get off the bus, get off

(42:40):
the plane, show up on the field and be the CEO of Sacnation.
That's just my that's what I want to see.
But you know, at the end of the day, so Southgate, I want to
know, I want to know your honestprediction tomorrow.
Score. Who wins and what's the score?

(43:10):
I think can't hear you can't hear yourself good.
Nope, you broke up. Go ahead.
Put it back to where? It was there.
There you go. OK, hold on one second.

(43:31):
Let me check one thing. Gotcha.
While you're pulling that up, JB, what's your scoring
prediction for tomorrow? Oh, man, my, my scoring
prediction for tomorrow is it's going to be like 2128.

(44:06):
I don't even think it's going tobe that.
I think, I think it's going to be, I think it's going to be,
it's going to be 20, it's going to be 2020, 12427 Kansas City.

(44:29):
2427 Kansas City, OK South gate, which is.
I'm seeing a 24/21/20 to 17 gameeither way.
OK, and who's your and who's going to come out on the victory
victory tomorrow? I'm.
Hope in Denver, but I see it being a three-point game either

(44:50):
way. Gotcha.
You know I'm never going to say Kansas City, so.
I gotcha. I actually have this right now.
I have 2326 Kansas City. I know that's an odd score.

(45:12):
Strange like that happen. Yeah, I can see something
strange. It's a Division game.
I'm not. I'm not going to rule it out on
that. So that's my thought process on
that, I guess. But now that we've relayed,
we've broken down everything there is to this game.
Southgate, your last minute thoughts on this game.

(45:40):
I just want to. I just want to see him go home.
Go home. What a very unhappy thing.
Gotcha, JB. What?
What a I want to. Know exactly what you're on.
Because I, I, you know, you guysare so nice, I can't even troll

(46:01):
you. That's why.
I I'm not going. To go for like T4 or something.
Yeah, so. JB, I want to know your last
minute thoughts on this game tomorrow.
Now that we've been able to break this down with South and
we've been able to go over his insight, his analysis on his own
team, what do you want to see from this game tomorrow?

(46:22):
What's your last minute thoughts?
Well, I want to see a Chief Wen.I mean, you know, I want to see
more Rishi Rice go off. I want to see them take
advantage of Patrick PS2 being out.

(46:44):
I want to see them take advantage of the injuries that
Denver has and utilize that in their advantage.
I want to see them be focused and attack on both sides of the
ball from the start and not let him until the whistle blows.
I want to see my team be focusedand be the grim Reaper, Reaper

(47:08):
and and and just go in there andand show the AFC in the NFL
that, you know, the chiefs are still there.
Force reckon with. I mean, they gotta wake up and
Amen, We can't, we can't take these couple wins here, couple

(47:30):
losses there like it's it's we're we're what, 9 games in?
Yeah. You know.
We're nine games in going into week 11 fresh off of by.
I want you to clip this if you can because we are 9 games in
going into week 11, fresh off ofby we're five and four.

(47:52):
You have Patrick Mahomes, his back is against the wall right
now. And I'm going to say this not
only as a football fan, but as aChiefs fan.
First and foremost, I will always ride with my quarterback
Patrick Mahomes when his back isagainst the wall because that
man hasn't been under some pressure and he's created
diamonds out of it. And I just got to say this,

(48:13):
moving forward, every game is a playoff game from here on out
because we've we've fucked around and found out and it's
time to go. It's time to make our presence
known. Like I said earlier today, we
have a 28% chance of winning this division.
We have an 80% chance of making the playoffs.
Let's take this a game at a timeand see where we end up.

(48:36):
Yep. So Southgate.
Yes, Sir. Thank you so much for being

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
