starter. Yeah, Aaron Rodgers out today as
named earlier this morning. Mason Rudolph is definitely
going to be starting the game. I'm I'm not so I'm, I'm not
feeling as bad as you are, coach.
I know that this is your biggestfear for Rudolph to get in there

and, you know, do what we have seen him do in the past.
But I, I'll say this, this bodeswell for us and you and I talked
about this last four. Mason Rudolph starts 4 and O4
touchdowns for Mr. Mason Rudolph.
So the team does play a little bit behind them.
So what? Hopefully we can.

Hopefully we can get some of that magic today.
Yeah, all we can do is sit back and get our popcorn and watch
the show. Yeah, I mean, if it's if this
week's game, you know, you and Ididn't know what to expect last
week, just given how the Steelers defense has been so up
and down. But the offense is really what

you and I were worrying about. Well, our offense decided that
they wanted to own the time of possession for the game and that
they actually, you know, when Mason Rudolph came in, those
last two drives got a field goaland a touchdown.
I'm not going to lie, he played very serviceable last week.

He played very serviceable. And the one thing I did notice
is he looked very relaxed and confident.
I, I poised like he's been therebefore.
So I don't know. He's going to have to show two
quarters ain't enough. It's not not, it's not nothing

this before, the way they used him, the way they used him last
week. They got to use him twice as
much this week because these guys are hurting in the
linebacker position. Yeah, Tremaine Edwards is out
and on the injured reserve. Tremaine Edmonds, sorry, I don't

mean to disrespect him like that, but Tremaine Edmonds, he's
out. He's on IR as announced
yesterday. So that frees up a lot of the
middle. It's going to be it's going to
bode well for Mason Rudolph, wholikes to throw down the middle
quite a bit. And plus, you know, if Mason
Rudolph wants to throw well, this might be a good week for

it. You know, the Bears defense
ranks 27th in total defense and they're passing defense ranks
all the way down at 23. So, you know, that's that's
something to focus on is the Bears are in the lower quadrant
here of the NFL. The only thing is, is there rush

defenses serviceable? But you know, I don't know,
coach, I think this is a good opportunity.
If Mason Rudolph, he's the type of guy who can stand in the
pocket. He can swing it around.
I mean this, this could be a good opportunity for him to show
what he's got. I mean, I hope so.
I definitely hope so because he's had enough chance.

He's had more than no chance. He even had a chance this year.
Or Lot, actually, No, he didn't.Rodgers was going to start
regardless, but I'm just saying he's had more than no chances.
I mean, when is he enough? Enough.
All right. Can you play in this league or
can you not? You know what I mean?

We, we we can't keep pussyfooting around.
We do not. No, one thing I am worried about
that's not going to be it withinMason's control is the Bears
have a very good rushing offense.
You know, the Bears rushing offense is, I believe #2 right

now in the NFL only behind the Bills.
And they're passing offense isn't too bad either, you know,
13th. But Steelers rush defense,
although they are 13th in the league, we have seen just them
get eaten up with a good rushingteam in the past this year

already. So that's something I'm I'm
really worried about on this defense.
The the the amount of tools and weapons Caleb Williams has is is
something that they should not take for granted.
Caleb Williams, yeah, he's, he'sa young starter and they're
still a young team, but we've already seen this year how
dynamite they can be, especiallywhen Caleb Williams is making

things happen with his feet. Yeah, that, that's what scares
me is that we're not going to have a spy.
Everybody's going to have their back turn and Keller Williams
going to and Keller Williams going to hurt as bad like Trevor
Lawrence did Kansas City. Yeah, yeah.
And what one thing the Steelers have changed in the last couple

games that needs to be mentioned, why they were so
successful against the Bengals last week was there.
They're playing Zone 4 coverage and they're not just having the
safeties be involved as, you know, like literal net safety
Nets like they did with Minka. They're actually getting the
safeties more involved on coverage with this zone, with

this Zone 4 coverage system thatthey've had to change to because
as you can see, Steelers still can't really cover man for man.
No, they cannot. Patrick Queen is such a
liability in coverage, especially with a tight end.
Yeah, and, and also, you know, everybody likes to point to,

well, Peyton Wilson, he's leading the team in tackles if,
well, he's also getting burnt a lot.
He's getting. Burnt in coverage a lot.
He's getting burnt and second stage blocking a lot and you
know, if you notice a lot of those tackles of his or they're
well past the line of scrimmage.So I'm not I'm not quite sure

what what to expect. I mean, I, I if they play
similar to last week, I think the defense can succeed.
But this is a different offense.This is a different animal than
the than the Bengals offense. Yes it is.
They gave too many different ways.
They got tight end, they got wide receiver and woman doing

that he he's balling right now. They got Swift, they got
Mufunder or not Mufunder. How you how you pronounce that
brother's name? I'm no good with names.
I'm just as bad as you are, coach, but I I know who you're
talking about. Yeah, they got weapons over

there. They definitely got weapons over
there. It's a game we cannot take
lightly. Ben Johnson got them boys
playing ball, so we're going to see what happens.
I need a defense. I need a defense to give me
back-to-back performance. You know what I'm saying?
We haven't had no back-to-back performance.
I need the defense to give me the back-to-back performance.

Yeah, One thing that bodes well for this Steelers team against
the Bears is the Bears have, youknow, beaten their the lesser
competition so far. The most of their wins are
coming off teams like, you know,the Cowboys, who are in the
bottom of the league right now, mid to bottom.
The Raiders, who are in the bottom of the league, the

Commanders, who are going through a heck of a time with
injuries this year, The Saints, who are in the bottom of the
league. You know, they've lost to
Minnesota, which they avenged that loss this past weekend last
week. And they've lost to Detroit,
which we know Detroit is a they're a heck of a team and
still good offensively, even with Ben Johnson.
Now excuse me, coaching the Bears.

And they lost to the Ravens, Youknow, so they're not winning
against teams that are winning themselves that, yes, the Bears
are doing their job by beating the teams that are down or
perceived to be down from them. So they are doing a good job
there. But, you know, maybe this poses
a different challenge for them. I just hope that you and I know

as well as anybody, I really hope Tomlin got them prepared
this week. I hope he isn't treating this as
if this is a guaranteed win. Not at all.
This is not the same bears. These are not the same bears.
Not even a little bit. So we have to go in here and
just do our job. Just do our job.
I don't need no heroes. Joey Porter needs to play smart.

I mean, if you look at the last week, you know, for all the

defense did, they still weren't that good.
They only had, I believe, what one sack.
And I think they had one interception, which that's
better than no interceptions. But for all this for, for, for
the Steelers being up in the tops and sack.
The one sack comes from Nick Herbig, who you and I were very

happy to see when High Smith wasout because Herbig just seems to
play better. Yeah.
He absolutely does. Yeah, he he seems to play better
and and that's not it either. Nick Kerbig also tackle for a
loss. You know, he's he was forcing
the issue. You know, they need to give
James Pierre some more time. It seems like this game, he's

been proving that even a 2829 years old, you can still keep
improving and get better and make sure that you're the type
of person who can play on this team.
Absolutely, absolutely. I mean, I don't think we, we
need a good coaching guy. I need to see back-to-back
coaching games also. Yeah, yeah.

But we haven't seen a lot of that at all.
No, no, they last week was a prime example of them making
adjustments based off the last game and them succeeding, right?
So that was decent coaching. They saw what the Bengals did to
them in that first game, losing 3331.
They made the necessary defensive adjustments and you

know, I I want to get this off my chest about the Jalen Ramsey
situation yes, no one should ever take being spit in the face
with any sort of ease at all. It's very disrespectful.
It's disgusting that in the middle of a game something like
that has to happen, especially when it's in the prime of
competition, right? The only thing that I got mad at

(12:55):
Jalen Ramsey about is he throws a punch when we're in A1
possession game and the game is still on the line.
I don't care who is spitting on me, the game is still on the
line. The game was only one score away
that the Bengals could have taken that.
I understand his frustration andI don't the lack of disrespect

from Jamar Chase, especially with the fine and suspension
that is warranted. People say it's a little
overdone. Don't spit on somebody.
It's disgusting. It's a form of assault.
Don't just don't do it. It's disrespectful as ever can
be, but Jalen Ramsey has to be alittle bit more cognizant of the
moment he's in at that time and aware of where the team is in
the game. Yo that yo the eyes in from the

door as they try to draw us offside.
We didn't jump offside, walk away, go getting out of.
Shouldn't even have been there. I'm not getting done it with
Chase there, but with Chase, thearrangement shouldn't even have

of huddle? You know, we were together
watching the game online last week.

Absolutely. But I that's the only thing I
had with Jalen Ramsey that really that that was the only
downside of what I saw is it could because I can't say that I
would have done any different ifsomebody spit my face in a game.

A lot of professional athlete. I I would have swung as well as
pathetic as I am say. Your lizard.
I said this more than once. If that was me, I would have
been, I would have been the first NFL player to be
handcuffed and physically removed from the from the
football. They had to call the police.

But even when they took me in the back, how they acted like I
was cooled and I ran back out there, but they didn't even know
the play. I ran back out that bitch.
Yeah, I we've already it's weirdthis year seems so weird.
We've already had to talk about now this is what the third major
spitting incident this year thatfrom a super from a star player,

you know, Jaylen Carter, everybody knew about in the in
the very first game of the season, but just I don't know
what's going through these players heads.
I mean, you know, I, I may be 40years old, but when we, when I
played high school football and played throughout my career,
nobody spat on anybody. There was never, never even a
thought about it. It was always, you know, yeah,

there's some pushing, there's some shoving, there's some shit
talking. But ultimately you're playing
the game you want to, you want to brag by winning afterwards.
And just, I know it's a weird time in the NFL, Weird time.
So the Bears. Didn't.
It has. This is one of the weirder
seasons that I can recall in my memory of, of watching football,

you know? So the Bears did beat the
Vikings last week. They beat them close, though
1917 sound like a Steeler game, right?
So the one thing though, we knowthe yeah, the Steeler game where
the Vikings played them earlier this year almost sounds like bad
game. Exactly, that Brian Flores

defense held the offense of the Bears total yards to 320, which
is pretty darn good given the circumstances.
I mean, they only threw for I think 180 and rushed for 140
total. So, you know, maybe what the
Steelers need to do is take thatformula and apply it here,
except, you know, incorporate the offense a little more.

Absolutely, absolutely, because that's the one thing we have to
make sure that we shut down thatrun game and 4th make make Caleb
Williams show us that he's the number one pick for a reason.
You got to show me. Yeah.
That's the key. Yeah, no, agreed.

I you're 100% dead on. He's he was the number one pick.
Well, you know, let's let's go, let's go show my we're in the
top ten in defense. You know, you were talking about
that rusher. We couldn't Manang guy, I think
is how to say his name or Manja Mananjai.
No disrespect, just not good with names.

The Vikings did a great job of limiting his yardage when he
came in the game. They they were able to pay
attention to the game film and see that when he's coming to the
game, he's getting his usage. And the Vikings were able to
lower that. You know, they only let him run
for 23 yards. They only let him receive.
They only let him get one reception.

(18:09):
So, you know, if we can keep, say, DeAndre Swift to another
8090 yard game and he's the maintarget, Yeah, You know, Menon
got scored, but you can't sit there and tell me that the
Vikings didn't do a good job against it.
Right. Exactly.
Yeah, yes, he. Listen, if we can hold them to

under 200 yards passing, under 200 yards rushing, total
defense, I'm happy with that. Yeah, I, I think the one thing
that the Bears are going to haveto do against the Steelers,
which the Bears haven't weren't good at the last game, is

they're going to have to get to Mason Rudolph.
The Bears had no, you know, theyhaven't been very good at
getting a lot of pressure this year as far as Sachs and
everything, they've got their they've got their middle of the
pack numbers. But you know, they're not the
type of team, you know, if they're rushing the way they did
last week against JJ McCarthy. And this is I'm not saying Mason

Rudolph is better than JJ McCarthy, but I am saying that
Mason Rudolph will handle the pressure better than JJ
McCarthy. If they bring that same rush
game to try and pressure Rudolph, I don't see why Rudolph
can't throw for 200 yards. At least get A2 touchdowns in.
Man, if he does that, man, if hedoes that, I'll give him a pass

until next week. I won't say nothing negative
about him for a whole week if hecan give me a solid game like
that. And the guy that can't be
garbage time either. They got to be.
They got to be, you know, in thegame, you know, and not not many

When to take a sack, when to throw the ball away.
Don't try to force nothing. You can give me that.

really truly does hinge on Rudolph's performance
offensively. I think the defense, I hope the
defense shows up for the simple fact that, you know, we, I, I'm
tired of not seeing TJ Watt impact games in the second-half
when it matters most. He needs to step up big time.

Cam Hayward saying you're doing a good job stuffing the run.
But my man, for all the hooping and hollering you had this
season talking about you want tobe paid like a legend that you
are, will you and your 1 1/2 sacks need to step it up?
Absolutely. I I need some more pressure.

To sum it up. Yeah, there's there's no other
way to say, you know, where where is that guy at?
It seemed like all of a sudden he got on his podcast and
started demanding money and he forgot that he was an all pro

defensive tackle in the game. They haven't seen it, haven't
seen it, don't understand it, whatever.
But he needs to show up. They need to keep Darius Slay
off this team. Oh my God, please do not let him
go near the field. You know, last game you notice
he didn't play and you notice because T Higgins and Jamar

Chase essentially before Jamar, you know, spit on Rams, they got
shut down. Yes, they did.
Yes they did. I don't know.
I had the numbers in front of me, but yes, they did.
Nothing compared well. I think Flacco only had 150
something yards. Yeah, so I got the numbers in
front of me here. Flacco 199.
He had an interception and a touchdown.

But you know, let's take a look at because I like to take a look
at the targets and receptions. So you know, Chase Brown was
there. Well for yardage.
Their main guy was T Higgins andhe only had 6763 yards.
He was targeted 8 times and onlyhad three receptions.

Pretty pretty good you know And I and I believe he was mainly
covered by Pierre, Correct me ifI'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure
Pierre had most of the coverage on him for the game.
And then Jamar Chase 3 catches for 30 yards.
Yeah, I like that. Shut down so the Steelers they

can play on defense for the secondary when they want.
To yes, yes, see that? That's the, that's the problem.
That's the problem right there is when you give me numbers like
that and I can't get them on a consistent basis.

You know, you look at their yardage situations and you can
see why they lost. They give up to 67 passing yards
to the Seahawks. You can't do that with their

receivers. You know, they gave up 396 to
the loss of the Bengals, 295. Their main bulk of these losses
is the passing game taking advantage of them.
So, yeah, consistency is key. And like you said before so many
times it starts at the top and trickles its way down.

So what do you think today coach?
What do you what do you think itis going to happen with this
Bear Steeler game? My, my, my prediction, like I
had said, was we were, I don't know what the score would be,
but we win it on Boswell's leg. That's what I said.

Man, it's hard for me to say Chicago is going to win given
the competition they've beat this year.
It's just competition they've beat has not been top tier.
And but it's also hard for me tosay they're not going to beat
the Steelers because they're beating the teams are supposed

If the Steelers come out and play, they played the Colts,
they'll lose. Then we'll be we'll win.
If they come out play when they play Green Bay, we'll lose.
Yeah, yeah. And everybody seemed to think
Rodgers was going to make it because, you know, of his record
against the Bears and how well he has played in the past

against the Bears. And of course, everybody wants
Rodgers to have this one last hurrah against them and have a
good game. But I think Mason Rudolph is
going to be better for this gamegiven he stands in the pocket
more than Rogers because he's younger.
Let's face it, he's not a 41 year old guy taking hits, you

know? But I think you're dead on.

kick from either team, I think. Yeah, but I'm just I'm just turn

going to have at least 40 receiving yards out of the back.
Well, backyard today and with a touchdown.
Well, with the linebackers beinghurt like they are, I think our
winning game will be good all the way around.
I think Warren has. I think Warren has a touchdown
today. So I'm predicting maybe a
receiving touchdown for Gainwell.
You got a rushing for Warren. I think on defense here, I think

Caleb Williams is going to throwfor 2:40 and at least have a
touchdown. I think this is just a different
animal than what they faced lastweek.
Yeah, it's the lesser quality receivers, but I think overall
with their running back situation in tight end, I think
the Bears can do some damage on the Steelers secondary.

Absolutely, they definitely can,but like I said, if we can play
like we played against the Colt and play like we played last
week in the secondary, then thatwon't happen.
I need back-to-back performances.
