Yo, welcome into the Not Move podcast UFC edition.
Today we talking about the most hyped card of the year, UFC 322.
I'm your host Jimmy. With me is my man Jock.
And today we going to be breaking down the most hyped
card of the season right before the paramount break.
You know, early thoughts. You know, it's going to be
(01:25):
probably potentially the greatest women's fight we've
seen in a long time, potentiallyto be who's the best woman's
fighter ever in my opinion. And Nunez is still there,
relaxed. I don't know man, Like
Shivchango and Wayley bro with what?
What they've. Been doing Nunez was Nunez was
(01:45):
so good she was defending 2 divisions at the same time.
I mean you, you got to see who she fought though, like some of
the she. Still did it.
She still did it, we said. Mighty Mouse is one of the
greatest of all time and look atwho he was defending the title
against all. Right.
All right, all right. You just want to run it up from
the stock, from the top. We can do this quick.
(02:07):
I know you got work. So we're trying to bring the
pitch to the people. No problem.
First we have Vladi versus Camilo, and I think this is how
I think the fight's going to go,right?
It's either going to be Amelo just ground and pounding body or
Vadi knocks him out. Yeah, Vadi's definitely the
(02:28):
better striker. He's he's a killer with his
hands, but he does struggle against grapplers and I feel
like Camilla is a good enough grappler to where he can
maintain position and keep him down.
Maybe find a submission. I I think I'm leaning more to
Camilo on this side, but I wouldn't be surprised if Vadi
gets AKO. But I'm I'm more on Camilo here.
(02:49):
I'm just saying I think the Vladi's only chance to win is a
knockout to be honest in my opinion.
That or he just nullifies the takedown, but other than that I
think he loses pretty handily. Yeah, I feel you.
That says Eric versus Shargar. I'm going to go.
(03:10):
I'm going with Shargar. I know he's the favorite, but
yeah, pretty much he's, in my opinion, overall better.
Bro, this is this is Hansad's guy, this guy, this straight
marks people. He showed up a little bit
against in the Eric Nolan fight where he was fighting.
He was kind of like a too too cocky in the in there, but he
(03:33):
still was able to find the knockout.
He thought he was going to walk through.
Eric Nolan put up a better fightthan what he thought he was
going to do. But Mcconico, my comic is going
to get glass walled, man. I I think I think this is a
squash spot for Susie Kayo. He's one of the Homs outs boys,
I think. I think it's a quick KO mate.
I would say quick, maybe second, probably second or third round
(03:53):
and. This is more or less a fight
that they give him to boost him.Yeah.
Not you got Angel Hill versus Fatima kind.
And to be honest, the way I lookat this fight, I'm looking at
it, I think it's going to go to decision.
So that since I think he's goingto the central, I think Angela
(04:14):
wins. However, there is a chance that
Fatima can get a knockout. Yeah, I'm more, I'm more on the
client side here, man. I think Angela Hill is over the
hill a little bit. You know, she's getting up there
in age, Fatima clients coming, rising up the ranks, being one
of the better fighters in that division.
I think she might be able to find a finish or get the
(04:37):
decision on her side. But I I'll learn more towards
client on this fight. She's better all around in my
opinion at at this stage in their careers.
Very true. Next is Pat versus EP.
I'm sorry if I butchered. Yeah, I see this as a Pat.
(04:57):
I see Pat in the submission. I see that submission wise he's
better, but I don't think he's abetter grappler.
However, I don't see another onecalling besides that.
The The thing is with Pat is he is a great grappler, like you
said, but chef is just relentless.
He's he's never quits on himself.
He's always moving forward, always with the pressure.
(05:17):
He's going to counter grapple. And I just, I've seen Pat quit a
couple of times, you know, So I'm, I'm leaning, I'm leaning
towards chef A, but I wouldn't be surprised if, if Sabatini
gets the sub. This this isn't one of my
confident picks, but I I learn more towards chef a just not
giving up and not able to find probably he wins by decision
(05:38):
more than likely because he's going to be able to just not get
subbed and do more on the feet. I think he's.
Definitely going to do more on the feet in my personal opinion.
We we'll see next you got Kyle versus Gerard, Gerald, I said
Gerald, Gerald. I think Gerald is honestly the
(06:01):
better fighter and I think Gerald wins by submission as
well. See that that's the thing
though, this is this is Kyle that is that is Mary church path
is on the ground, but I I like Kyle Dawkis is just because he's
this is his second stint in the UFC.
This is him trying to come back make a name for himself trying
to rise up the ranks. He got a statement K over
(06:23):
Michelle Ferreira in his last time out and where I thought
Michelle Ferreira was going to win.
I think, I think Kyle Dawkis is just, he's, he's back and he's
wants to make a name for himself.
And I think Mayor Shark's just alittle bit past his prime.
I mean, Mayor Shark definitely has a path on the ground because
his submission game is nasty. But I just, I just lean more
(06:46):
towards Dawkins and his hands, to be honest.
Understandable actually. Got Malcolm versus Elin.
Elin is making his debut versus Eternal Malcolm.
I'm saying Malcolm wins, honestly.
Yeah, I'm with you, too. Well, Maker is solid.
(07:08):
This was supposed to be Cody Haddon, but he pulled out and I
don't know why. I don't know whether it's
because he couldn't make weight or he was injured.
But Ethan Ewing, from what I've seen, I don't.
I haven't seen much tape on him,but from what I've looked, he's
more of a knockout guy. And I think Malcolm Wellmaker's
(07:28):
fought better guys and he's knocked out better guys and
Ethan has well, Maker does have a hole in the grappling.
I don't know how good Ethan Ewing's grappling is, but I
don't I think well, Maker probably K OS him to be honest.
But well, Maker is going to haveto fix that hole in his game if
he wants to rise up the ranks, to be honest.
(07:50):
And this is this is a featherweight fight and Ewing is
normally a band on. So that's another reason.
It's just like, I don't know what you're doing.
You. Just make it.
You're making it. He's just getting a page.
Just getting a paycheck is what it is.
It's sometimes, but it's better than none.
Yeah, in fact, I respected getting them to like the guy all
together. Like just Tracy Cortez versus,
(08:11):
you know, Black Lancefield. I looked at it.
I think it goes to decision on Cortez ones.
I could see that happening. I just.
I just don't know if Aaron Blanchfield let's Cortez beat
her twice. Last time these two fought,
Aaron Blanchfield was 19. This time, Blanchfield's a lot
(08:34):
more experienced. I think she's better on the
ground than Cortez. Cortez might be a better
striker, but I think this is going to be a decision.
It's just going to who's going to do more.
And I, I lean towards Blanchfield, but I would, I
wouldn't be surprised if Cortez was able to pull this out.
But my pick is Blanchfield. Actually is Roman copy love
versus Gregory? Rodriguez Firefight.
(08:56):
This one is a. Banger.
Yeah, it's going to be a banger.I'm going to Roman now just
because that's the guy that they, you don't see a pusher.
Roman. They want Roman to be one of
those guys. I think this is the fight that
you know you're going to push your mix on my main cards.
I feel you, I feel you. Roman is a a striker that likes
to keep it on you on the outside, strike it with you at
range with his kicks and his team, his jabs and stuff.
(09:20):
I like I like G Rod though. I like RoboCop.
Just Robocop's so fun to watch. He's always going to get you in
the clinch with a dirty box and he's good on the ground.
He's a BJJ black belt, but he's he loves to throw hands.
I think this is going to be an entertaining fight.
I want to see G Rod win, but I wouldn't be surprised if copy
(09:42):
Lab was able to find find a kick.
But we going against each other a lot.
But yeah, this is what makes this fun.
Man. We got we going to find out.
For sure next is Bo Nickel versus Fafiro.
But honestly, I don't like what I've seen from Bo Nickel in the
(10:03):
last two fights. It was the last fight I know he
lost and then he was contemplating and going back to
wrestling. But the fight before that was
sloppy. And I don't know if no, I don't
know if that was just him being too cocky and now that he lost
he's back down to earth or not, but I don't know.
He buried me in bed. He's not that good on on the
feet. His grappling isn't as good as I
(10:23):
thought it would be. But with that being said though,
I'm still going to go Bo Nickel but iffy on him.
Yeah, I, I'm with you. I, I don't think Rodolfo Vieira,
he in his last fight, he just pretty much just grapple checked
Peyton Talbot the entire time. Bo Nichols not going to have he
had. He doesn't have that giant hole
(10:44):
in his grappling that Peyton Talbot did.
They're not painting. It wasn't painting.
Tell they. I don't know what I'm thinking
that was Barcelo's my bad. But Viera, I'm just not too sold
on them, to be honest, because Riera main path is on the ground
and I think Blow Nickel can keepup with them on the ground.
He fought. I'm trying to think of who he
(11:05):
fought last. I can't.
I can't remember. Tray Sean Gore.
He boxed up Tray Sean Gore. That's who it was and Bo Bo
Nichols not going to sit there like Tray Sean Gore.
I I think Bo Nichols got better hands than Tray Sean.
I feel like this is going to be a standing boxing fight between
grapplers and what's going to I think Bo this piece of them up.
(11:26):
I don't think he gets a knockout, but I think he doesn't
have to get the decision, to be honest, because I I don't think
Rudolfo wants to get on the ground with him.
He gets the knockout, they're definitely going to put him
against the right opponent next.He wants to be on that White
House card, but. If he wouldn't say he would
easily be, he would easily be. If he wouldn't stand in a
(11:48):
knockout like that. He might be on the main car.
They may start pushing him again.
We'll see though. Next is Bernal Deusch versus Ben
and St. D Denis.
Like Bernal a lot, he's getting up there in age.
He's not that old, but he's still getting up there in age.
Think he's a better grandfather.I won't.
(12:10):
I mean, Bennett is also a beast. Is probably, I'll say probably.
Could he could contend to be better?
I don't know. Personally, I think Bennett wins
because I don't know. I think I like the new show and
I hope he wins, but I don't think he wins.
Yeah, I like Doriuschi. I like Doriusch but he's been
chinned a couple times and Benoit has better hands.
(12:31):
If you look at the the path to victory here is in so much favor
of Benoit because Benoit can chin Benil and he can sub Benil
Ben Ben. Benil's only path is if he gets
a sub off. But Benoit's really good on the
ground. He saw it in his where he just
exposed and dominating Mauricio Huffy in his last fight.
(12:52):
I'm not the biggest fan of Benoit striking just because he
kind of leaves his head on the center line, But but Neil's not
an expert boxer where he's goingto take your head off the center
line. So I I just feel like there's
more pass to victory for Benoit and I think Benoit Chin's
probably either ground and pounds them or TKO's them.
I I like that Benoit Benoit, this is probably one of my locks
(13:13):
of the card. As much as I hate to, as much as
I hate to do Dar, you like that man.
It's just he's up there, man. Leon being the underdog is
crazy. I've Leon beating Carlos
parties. I understand parties.
He's very good. He's very, very good.
(13:33):
But if I'm not mistaken, the last time we seen Leon is when
he lost the belt, right? No, the last time you saw Leon
is when Sean Brady embarrassed. Oh, yeah, Sean Brady.
Yeah, it was the Sean Brady fight.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I might have to change my answer
with my fighter at least. Yeah, I'm going to go Leon
(13:54):
because I just want to see him face Michael Chavin get
destroyed. So for that simple point, that
simple point, I'm going Leon. I, I'm going Pratis, man.
Pratis is generational power on his side and he's a, he's the
party boy. And I, I always root for the
party boy to do well and make a run at the chip.
He's got crazy power in his hands.
(14:15):
He is the the last fighting nerdwho's in contention.
You know a lot of the Friday nerds got fraud checked like it
was bad. Like within two weeks of each
other. Like Baraujo lost, Gene Silva
lost, Roofie lost. Like this is Protes.
Protes was the first to lose butthen he immediately got it back.
(14:37):
Got his L back with a crazy koi.Think he keeps going.
I think he gets AKO here. He's the first one to knock Leon
unconscious. Interested, very interested.
Next is essentially a #1 contenders match for the for
whoever wins is Sean Brady versus Michael Morales.
I think Sean Brady just just physically and just a better
(15:00):
fighter. So for that reason, I'm going
Sean Brady. I feel you.
Sean Brady is a better grappler.I feel like his path to victory
is definitely on the ground. He's a really good, really good
dominating grappler. He's going to smother you from
from the jump. My thing is, is the reach
advantage that Morales has, man,he's got a 7 inch reach
(15:22):
advantage and his background is in defensive wrestling.
So I don't think this is going to be a walk in the park for
Brady to be honest. I like, I like Brady to win, but
I wouldn't be surprised if Morales pulls off this crazy
upset just because people are people are sleeping on how good
(15:43):
this kid is that he's got 2 Olympian parents.
And he could, he could have, he just he could have picked the
sport to be an Olympian and basically this guy's got all the
athletic talent in the world. If he's a future champion, I
think in this division, he he might be a little green now, but
you better watch out for this guy.
So if you don't pull it off, I'mnot, I'm not a surprise, but.
(16:06):
I won't count. I think he will be a future
champion. I just think right now.
I don't. Know, I think Brady, yeah, I
think Brady's time to obviously lose to Martha chef.
We'll get to that later. Yeah, it was Valencia chef.
Next fight is Valencia chef Shenko versus Zay Whaley.
I will never pick against Whaleyunless it's Rose and it's not
Rose, so I'm picking Jane Whaley.
(16:28):
Hey look, we agree on something. My God, we agree on something.
Zheng Whaley to be one of the best female Cement herself is
one of the best female fighters ever being the double champ.
I, I like Zane Whaley. I, I think she's going to be too
fast for Valentina, man. And everyone, everyone's like
talking about the size advantagethat Valentina's going to have
on the on the ground. I think Whaley's is a better
(16:51):
grappler and she's going to findher way out of it.
And striking wise, I, I think being the faster, faster person
is going to help her out. And I'm, I'm, I'm on Whaley all
the way, man. I don't know how you can root
against Whaley. Yeah, I don't know how next is
JDM versus Islam Akatrov 100% sure Islam wins and he fast any
(17:15):
way he wants to wins. But on the old chance that JDM
wins, I'm going to be highly upset.
It's going to ruin my night. Your night might be ruined my
friend. Your night might be ruined man.
The odds on the spot are crazy. JDM being.
Yeah. Bro, that's nuts.
I think this is a more of a 5050chance than people think, 5050
(17:38):
fight than people think. JDM out grapple Gilbert Burns
with a broken arm. I want you.
I want you guys to realize that I feel like people are sleeping
on JDM. He's he's his boxing is crazy.
He's one of the better boxers inthe UFC and his defensive
grappling is solid. He's training with Craig Jones,
who's trying to become known as the Dagestan and stopper who he
(18:00):
trained up Volk to beat up Islam, But Volk's just too small
that that was Volk's problem. He's he's too small.
Everybody's trained so far has lost.
That's also true, Islam said in an interview.
He's like, oh, he's old for three, he might be old for four.
So we'll see how that goes. I lean towards JDM just because
(18:22):
the odds wise I feel like everyone's odds wise but I
wouldn't be surprised if his long wins.
I don't think this is. I think this will be settled in
like round 3 or 4. I don't.
I don't think it is long. Gets JDM out of there quick
though, no. I don't think it's quick but I
think he has his way towards. But I think like if it goes 5
it's like a clean smash. Absolutely.
(18:44):
Yeah. Just a just a unanimous.
Yeah. However, if JDM wins, I think
it's going to be, I think it's the same way for you to fight.
Whoever wins, it's going to be afight where you're like, wow,
yeah, Ben. Yeah, I'm with you.
I think it's going to be a decision too rookie, because I
don't see Islam getting KO. Islam hasn't got KO since his
(19:05):
first fight. Like if you think about it bro,
both of these fighters haven't lost in over a decade which is
crazy. Yeah, but also is almost fine
who's who's the people at a point in time, but.
Yeah, we'll we'll see. We got a shout out of the
