We're here with my good friend and college football analyst

All right, so some news this week this morning actually from
ESPN. James Franklin, former Penn
State coach recently fired is inthe early stages of talks with
Virginia Tech to become their next head coach.
This doesn't mean that he is thenext head coach yet fans, but he
might be in early talks. Jimmy, what are you thinking

about that for you and the hope,I mean the you and the Wahoos?
I mean, it does suck because, you know, obviously I don't want
Tech to succeed, but it's good for the conference.
You know, get a coach like that in the in the conference, you
know, makes better competition and you know, he can't ever win

the big one. So hopefully that continues
here. So I mean.
That's right. He was O and five against top
five teams. I think it was like one in 14
against top ten teams. So, you know, as you said, not a
bad move for them. You know, moving on obviously to
bigger and better things in the in the future for them and the

conference as a whole. This team could get better if he
can get the same kind of supporthe did at Penn State.
I think that, you know, obviously it's a upgrade for
Virginia Tech. I don't know if it puts them
into national prominence or if it just means they're just going
to try and win the ACC, you know, week or year after year.

I don't really know how that's going to play out.
But as you said, he doesn't win the big games.
So I don't like them in that scenario of getting national
championships. I don't if that's the goal here,
I don't think it's going to happen for them, but who knows?
All right, so we got a lot of good conference games going on
this week, essentially elimination games.

So let's jump right in. Give the people what they never
knew they needed. So the first game we got noon
kickoff #24 USF -10 1/2 at Navy,who's seven and two.
The over in this game is 62 1/2.Jimmy USF has an explosive
offense and they create a lot ofturnover.
The Midshipmen all about the clock in that ground and pound

run game that they seem to use week in and week out.
Navy being at home is a huge X Factor for me.
They're used to playing in the game, which we'll talk about in
about a month, the, you know, the Army Navy game.
But I think that the Bulls get it done here by getting ahead

early and taking the crowd out of the game.
What are your thoughts? Yeah, I think, I think I'm with
you here. Another important factor is
Blake Horvath might not be 100% from the midshipmen there.
So that's a big factor in that game.
If he's not 100% healthy, he hasa upper arm injury as well, like
a upper, like somewhere in the chest, arm injury, whatever it

is. So he's not 100% healthy.
I don't like the Navy's chances,but if he goes out there and he
plays how he's been playing all season, the Midshipmen have a
chance. But I just, the Bulls offense
has just been insane. Byron Brown just slings that
ball downfield and it's just touchdown after touchdown after
touchdown. They they're one of the highest

scoring offenses in the country.And I, I just can't go again.
I can't go against the hot hand in the Bulls.
Yeah, I totally agree with you, Jim.
All right, the next game, a hugematch up, huge match up for both
these teams, one ACC, one independent.
As we know, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish travelling to
Pittsburgh. Currently ESPN college game day

is at Pittsburgh. Maybe one day me and Jimmy will
get to a game and and do our ownpodcast at a game.
We'll see what happens there. But in the meantime, huge
implications with this one. An Irish loss would obviously
eliminate them from getting intothe playoff bracket and a chance

at a national championship. The Panthers win, however, puts
them in prime position to possibly win out and if Georgia
Tech loses, could get into the ACC Championship and put
themselves in the tournament forthe College Football Playoffs.
Listen, I love Pat Narduzzi. I think he's a great coach.

He's done great, had great strides with this program, a lot
of progress putting them back into the national platform.
He's an Italian. Italians make great food, but
Italians are also frauds. And let me tell you why.
They they never invented pasta. That was invented by the

Chinese. Tomatoes weren't in the European
continent until after the 1500s,which means people of Native
American descent invented, you know, good sauce, good gravy, as
they would say. And that fraud, Christopher

Narducy's comments about he doesn't care about this game,
it's very questionable. Has my head thrown for a loop.
If Pitt wins out they can be an ACC championship.
I feel like even if they lose tolike a good Georgia Tech team in
the ACC Championship, as long asthey keep it close, they might
even have a chance at large. But if they were to beat A-Team
like Notre Dame. But this guy's a goofball and

doesn't see that, it's crazy. I like the over just because
Notre Dame over is always hit analyst wise.
Pittsburgh normally kind of sells out for the run.
So it's going to leave a lot of one-on-one situations for the
Notre Dame receivers. And CJ Carr can take the top off
because I think he's one of it'll be a top five quarterback

next year. I think he's top ten this year.
He'll, he'll be able to show hisstrides and his pocket presence.
And I feel like this, it's goingto, I don't know, it's just a
Notre Dame over game to me. And like Heinzel on the other
side is doing good for Pitt. But I don't know how you go into
this game when your coach doesn't care about it.
I'm very concerned. I I'm, I don't know, it's wild.

I love the approach. If he wants to lose by 100, we
can make that happen, Jim. All right, moving on to the next
slate of games. At 3:30, number 19 Virginia
Cavaliers at Duke Blue Devils. Duke favored by 5 1/2.
The Cavaliers come into the gamewith an outside chance to make
the playoffs at 8 and 2. Duke is five and four and hoping

to make a playoff or make a bowlappearance.
Excuse me. I do like the over in this game
just because the line seems a little funny and this is a
conference matchup that's, like,too close to call.
I know that Duke has that good passing game.
Yeah, that dynamic quarterback. You know of the Cavaliers.
Jimmy, what's your thoughts? This line has gone down slowly

over the week because Chandler Morris, our quarterback is back
I'm about tired of every single pundit that I listen to on this
college media, college football talking oh, we can finally stop
saying Virginia's good Virginia's frauds this and that
this that our quarterback was taken out in the first quarter
by a targeting call late hit only got the late hit penalty
didn't even get the targeting call bogus.

Our backup quarterback didn't know how to play football.
Only good play he had was his first play where he did a read
option and he score a touchdown,but he ran out of bounce 'cause
he's goofy. If Kayla Morris is in this game,
we win this fucking football game.

calm down Mensa. It is a great quarterback, but
this Duke team literally is the best worst team ever.

They should have beat Georgia Tech.
They out game Georgia Tech by 300 yards and guess what every
time they're in the red zone fumble turnover interception,
they don't they're the worst best good team.

If you watch this game, you'll see Duke is Duke can't win.

the worst way to remain on the fringe of the playoff picture I
like USC to cover. I do as well too.
I know there might be weather report like it there's a chance
of rain possibly, so that might they might think it helps out
Iowa. I just don't know how Iowa gets
up for this game after that heartbreaking loss to Oregon,

wherever they were in it the entire time.
Then blow it at the end. The key to beating Iowa is just
if you just contain the edge, you contain Gronowski.
Make him be with his arm insteadof his legs.
And Iowa's. Iowa's problem is their offense
doesn't put in enough out there,and what happens is the defense
just gets tired over the course of the entire game.
It's what you see in most NFL teams when an offense is just

doing 3 now, three now three now, the defense is on the field
too much and eventually you're going to score.
You give this USC team enough times, enough chances with the
weapons they have. My Alva, obviously a really good
quarterback, Makai Lemon, one ofthe best receivers in the
country. Yeah, I I think they'll cover
the number pretty. I don't want to say it pretty
easily because you know, with the rain it might affect the

passing name a little bit, but Istill think they should run it
up on them at least by 10. Yeah, I think that it's going to
be similar to that Argon game, right?
I was going to probably stay in it the first half.
It's going to be, you know, 17 to 10 or maybe even 1713 at the
half. And then you're going to see

just a little bit more explosiveness come out of that,
you know, USC Trojan offense. And I was just not going to be
able to keep pace. So moving on to the next big
match we got. We got a few big match ups this
week. The first one is #11 Oklahoma at

#4 Alabama -6 1/2. I mean, if it hadn't been for
the other game, which is the game of the week, this probably
would be a game of the week feature if it weren't at the
same time. But Oklahoma, Caleb Deboer have
reemerged despite losing some tough games.
As always, they will rely on that defense to keep them in the

(14:04):
game and and and John Metier to lead that offense.
Alabama has come all the way back and solidified themselves
as having a chance to be in the playoffs.
The win for the Crimson Tide would be a huge impact in terms
of momentum toward the SEC championship.
Jimmy, what are you thinking? Yeah, Oklahoma pretty much was
in an is in an elimination game every week this year or every

week now. They can't afford a loss.
I don't think they can beat Bamajust because Bama just finds a
way to win every week. They don't make mistakes
offensively. Tyson plays a safe, good brain
to football where he's not doingturnovers Willy nilly.
He's he's taking care of the ball.
The Bama defense has steadily gotten better over time.

(14:46):
Matir. It should be fully healthy from
his thumb surgery that he had, but he plays a little fast and
loose with the ball and I think that might cost him with a
turnover or two. And that's what solidifies
Alabama and Tuscaloosa. It's kind of hard to go in there
as in that raucous environment and try to squeak out a win.
I know Oklahoma's defense is good.
They get our our Mason Thomas back potentially, so that's good

(15:10):
for their defensive line. But I don't know how Oklahoma's
going to be able to deal with how methodical and easy going
like this Alabama offense. It doesn't like.
It seems like they just always come up with the play like it
they can be down and they just always find a way to get the
first down to get the touchdown like always keep going.

(15:31):
So I'm going with Bama. I don't see them dropping the
home game to. Oklahoma, yeah, I don't.
I don't see it that way either. I feel like there's a way for
this, this Oklahoma team to win,but I don't think they come up
with that opportunity. I also like the under.
I feel like it's going to be a defensive battle.

Yeah, I agree. I actually think it's also going
to be an under in the other gametoo, but we'll get to that

sides. Spencer for now, probably a top
ten draft pick this year. That offense is just nasty.
I tend normally in these Big 12 games, I always I always like to

lean towards the points, but Baylor's defense is Swiss cheese
like they they haven't been ableto stop nobody all year.
Sawyer Robinson for Baylor is a good quarterback.
He might be able to keep them init, but I just don't see it
happening with his Utah defense.Man, I I like Utah, I like the I
like them to cover, but you never know.
So Sawyer Robertson has been playing good ball.

He's been up and down but I I'm not going to go against the
youths, man. Yeah, I think that, you know,
like you said, that defense is really solid.
The offense is explosive enough and, and, and, and, and a team
like Cincinnati is, is huge whenit comes to, to offense and they
just seem to shut them down lastweek.

So I like the utes as well. All right, so our our SEC also
game of the week for the collegegame Game day edition not move
podcast. Texas at Georgia, Georgia -6 1/2
Texas is an embattled program this year.
They had a lot of criticism earlier in the year of Sark and

Manning. Kirby Smart looks to re
establish after losing to Alabama.
Bulldogs and Longhorns offenses have been explosive at times.
I really, really think that the defenses are paramount and will
be the catalyst of the game. I really really like the under
in this game and Texas to cover.I'm going off the city, man.

I'm not, I'm not. I'm not on the Texas wagon.
I could see it being somewhat close.
But listen, every time Texas is on the road here, here's what
they got. An overtime win against
Mississippi State and overtime win against Kentucky and A2
touchdown loss to Florida there.This is not a good Rd. team.
I know Manning has had success recently with the screen game

where they've actually like scheme some stuff up to where he
can make some those easy throws,but all Georgia has to do is get
the linebackers in spot in the right spot and they can shut
down the edge pretty easily. Billy Napier, who got fired from

man. I've been picking against them a

been able to find my mark. I think.

the Bulldogs, man. I, I just can't go against them.

offense has taken a step back a little bit here.

I actually think that Mississippi State might win this

was talking about earlier is like it's a Big 12 matchup and
it's I normally take the Big 12 team with the points just
because it's so even. But I mean, this is Arizona's
defense is really good. They're I think they're like top
5:00-ish in the Big 12. So and you know, Sorsby didn't
really have the greatest game against the Utah defense, who is

just as good as Arizona. So this is just me just taking
the points. I I could see Cincinnati
winning. I don't see a blowing amount.
I do love Sorsby though, but I was Fafida's not been playing
bad. He's quietly had a good season.
So I'm I'm just taking Arizona to keep it close, but I I
wouldn't be surprised if Source B goes crazy in a bounce back.

doing. I think Ole Miss takes off.

lot of people faking injuries. I'm not saying everybody,
there's a lot of people that don't want to be on the field
now, you know, with the the way the season is gone.
So I like to Ole Miss as well. Big 10 matchup Wisconsin at #2
Indiana Indiana giving 29 1/2. Yeah, listen, Wisconsin.

Wisconsin isn't very good. That's just how it is.
Indiana wants to like actually smacks teams pretty bad.
So I I think Indiana runs it up on them.
They only not covered I think twice or three times maybe.
I I think Indiana just blows teams.
They blow teams out and I think Wisconsin is no exception.

Yeah, I agree with you. I think that Indiana is just too
good. They don't have a lot going on
there in Wisconsin. The Badgers unfortunately just
not putting anything on the field of any substance at this

really primed and special this week.
