jail forever, right. So they reduced the charges to
manslaughter and he pleads guilty right.
You know, May 7th, his 18th birthday going into Mother's Day

eligible for parole after he does 25.

He got his chick with him, so you know he ain't going for no

DeAndre and his crew takes off running, takes off running.

They run about a block and a half calls.
Granny say granted they shootingat this park I'm at come and get
me. Granny pulls up a little later,
get him back to the crib. Granted, like, what's happening,
like me, I don't know, people were shooting.
But back at the park, it's 8:20 and they have shots have been
fired off and there is a teenager dead.

Yeah. So they call.
So there is no sirens when ambulance rolled up and you
know, Yeah. So they are canvassing the park
in asking witnesses and and getting pulling camera footage
from everywhere around right now, people there saying, hey,

who's this guy named Craig? Yeah, we know him.
He'd be here sometime. He do this, he do that and the
other he's he's not. I mean, like I they say he
always running with like a groupof people, right, and then not
only that, people start pointingout people he was with.
They're like, well, this is his boy.
They start pulling up Instagram like this is boy.
This is girl. This is that means that means
that then they start giving these people names, right, Start

giving people name right. So they are business head.
OK, put the crane Dwayne, I meanDeAndre Mcrae's name in the
system. Find a good old address and a
couple hours later does what wasthat?
The dough Boom, they have kickedthe dough in.
Not really. But they came with a warrant and
they and they say hey, we're looking for a DeAndre Mccrane

and she's like hey, he not here.I don't know what the hell y'all
doing? He's like he not here like what
the fuck? And they sold her a warrant and
it came through that money right?
And they pulled her out in a three-year old and a 10 year old
that she was babysitting. Now question well that 10 year
old and three-year old in that car when she came and picked up
that group of five. So that makes 8 right after

rummaging through the house she tells them that hey, I don't
know where Dwayne I mean DeAndreis at.
I have not seen him earlier. He called me to pick him up.
He told me they were shooting atthe park and he didn't feel safe
and he wanted me to come pick them up and it was like what
else do you know? He said I don't know nothing.
What am I supposed to fucking know?

He just called and told me they was shooting and I came and
picked up my grandbaby. I said OK well tell him when you
see his ass we want to talk it. After that they head over to his
boyzo house. The police knock on the door.
They asked to speak to Zo. Going to speak to Zozo.

Like what? They asked what happened at the
park. They said hey man I don't know.
Some shit popped off and my boy started shooting.
And like, you sure he shot? He's like, yeah, I saw him with
the gun earlier. They're like, oh, really?
He's like, yeah, some of the gunearlier.

But I mean, it was a lot of people out there.
Maybe somebody else shot. But I know my boy had a gun.
So basically. So after that, he leave, the
detective leaves, They're heading to one more house.
Oh yeah 'cause remember Zoe was the boy, those was his partner,

that's his boy, that's his dog right Though just do this on the
bus 'cause all like she and *** I ain't got nowhere to go.
I can't be attached to this typeof shit right?
So they head over to Haley's house and Haley don't got a dog
in a fight 'cause she only been dating this *** 2 year I mean
two weeks. She's not that right of that

bitch. She said, hey, she said do you
know where the under yet? She's like no, saw that earlier.
Haven't seen him since says does.
Have you ever seen him with a gun?
She said he has a gun on him allthe time and look here for them

Well, she was like him. And that guy started arguing and

he pulled out a gun and fires the shot.
He he started shooting, right? And that's when the detectives
tell him that a well, we heard DeAndre spit in this guy's face.
And she was like, I didn't see no spit, but I wouldn't up on it
like that either. But I do know he had that gun.
She's like, and it was like, OK,we had no more questions.

But let me tell you this. You know where yet he contacted
you, you tell his black ass we want to talk.
She was like, I got you, I got you right.
So the next day, your boy DeAndre, he makes it without
getting arrested, right? But the police have called his
grandma and his mother against awe need that boy to come turn

himself in to talk to us. We want to talk to him.
And he was like, yeah, whatever,whatever, whatever, whatever.
So not that day goes by, but thenext day they called his grandma
and mother again. This I didn't call.
They not going to say, hey, y'all seen the Andre?
They now he's seen him. So they like, so this guy's been
gone three days. But he's a good guy.

He's a good kid, he's doing everything right, and y'all
ain't seen him in three fucking days, right?
This is what you want me to believe?
Let me tell you something, Mama and granny, y'all got to 10:00
and we're putting his face all over the news and then you gonna
see how many people turn his assin.

they get DeAndre in, in the interrogation room asking what's
good, how you been? He said, man, I'm good.
He said, I'm glad you came down here.
He said, yeah, my granny told methat y'all want to talk, I might
as well come in and talk to y'all.
And she was like he said, do youknow what this is about?

Like they say you just came herewilling to talk to us because we
said we're gonna put you in the face on the news.
And he was like, yeah, I mean, like, but what it's about and

go to jail and don't be going inthat crime because they don't
think you're a punk. They already don't think you're
a punk because eventually going to need you some boot cat, but
whatever. And she he's not he's crying
loud right, 16 years old. He's crying loud now, right and

she says I don't know if granny coming in here, but I gotta go.
I will see you in the morning atcourt and she walks out.
No, no, she yelled at her mom. He say, ma, ma, you, you coming
in. She didn't say nothing, but she
gave up, got up, hugged her son and walked out.

Two seconds later they let granny in.
Granny comes in and she said, hey, can I she she she tell
looks back at the office that can't give him a hug.
So yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll give him a hug.
Give him a hug. She gave him a hug.
She said, son, all you had to dowas listen to your parents.
She said all you had to do was watch the company you keep clear

as day. You need to you all you had to
do was watch the company you keep.
She said. I told them that I picked you up
after the at the park and I toldhim I know nothing about it.
And I told him I didn't want to know nothing about it because
when you called me told him shooting, all I was concerned
about was picking you up. I told him flat out that I don't

know nothing and I like I'm not in this, I don't know nothing.
I picked my grandson up and his friends, but that was it.
And yeah, I told him that son, time you have to pay for this.
She said, all I've been doing ispraying.
She says all I can do is pray. Ain't got no money for this.
You gonna need a good lawyer forthis son.

This is over for you. And he said, man, my life is
ruined. I never got to drive no car.
I ain't got to this. I ain't got to that.
And she said, hey, this is hey, we were we passed that.
We are past that. We, we, we ain't got look that,
that that's the least of your worries, son.

They are charging you with the murder.
Somebody died out there, right? You know, he starts crying.
And she said, now stand on up. Let me get a hug, Gave him a
hug. And she says I will never see
you again and she leaves Look atbra your grandma telling you if

she ain't go see your ass again.Broke him down 20 minutes later
they walk in put them cuffs on him gave that that mug shot and
he was arraigned the next morning for with no he who hit
with a no bun was charged and heget charged with murder right
And he sits there until trial now a couple days before trial

and the talking to his lawyer and realizing that he better do
something because his dad is gonna come around me and like me
jail forever, right. So they reduced the charges to
manslaughter and he pleads guilty right.
You know, May 7th, his 18th birthday going into Mother's Day
(29:20):
weekend, your boy was hit with 35 years in prison and he is
eligible for parole after he does 25.
(29:41):
Man, these young dudes brought it.
Throwing lives away, bro. I ain't gonna say you had to
stick with youth football. But bro, Granny said it.
Granny said you had to watch thecompany you keep.
And another thing Granny told him was she said I'm glad you
didn't listen to your aunt and uncle.

That dumbass aunt and uncle, what's the fucking jailbirds?
And it was like, man, you ain't did it.
You ain't got to go down there, man, come and get you.

Granny say that? Granny said, I'm so glad you
didn't listen to your aunt and uncle.
I'm pretty sure it was like, no,if they got some money, they'll
come and rescue. Don't go down there and

But whatever it is what it is homeboy, he got to do 25 before
