It is finally Summertime! This is the perfect time for your child to take a step back from the pressures of the school year, and have some fun. Summer boasts endless opportunities for growth in all aspects of your child’s life. Your family may have fun activities planned, summer camp on the calendar, or a trip to visit family coming up. 

Though it is easy to get wrapped up in our newfound free time, it is important for parents to remain checked in to their child’s mental well-being. With your child spending more time at home, you may note some behaviors and habits of theirs that you may not have noticed before.

On this week’s episode of the podcast, our second installment in the summer series, we will cover warning signs that your child may be struggling with their mental health during the summer months. Join me as I identify behaviors and changes in your child’s mood that could be cause for concern. In addition to this, we will be discussing the difference between developmentally normal changes in mood, and abnormal indicators that your child’s mental health is at risk.
