In Episode 2 of Season 3 of The Nursing Strategies for Success Podcast – I had the pleasure of speaking with Robert Wingo, BSN, RN, RN-BC of InformaticsNurse.com  – where he shares SO MANY AMAZING RESOURCES that can help empower Nurses and Nurse Leaders to level up their knowledge and LOVE for data-driven results! The main focus of our conversation was surrounding the need for improving Nursing's understanding of how to better manage budgets, allocate for more resources and get members of the C-Suite to provide MORE support for Nursing Departments, Staff, Benefits and Education! One thing that he shared with me is that MANY organizations have flawed budget calculations -often shorting projections, which causes major losses and only further exacerbates our current healthcare climate. With the knowledge of knowing the flaw and using calculations that will better help Nurse Leaders manage their resources - we can improve our working conditions and bring the hard data back to leadership to gain buy-in for more resources and support!  You don’t want to miss this really interesting and empowering discussion! 🎧
