We hear from Kim and Andrew, Event Organisers of The Alpha Challenge and owners of the The Fit Collective.
The Alpha Challenge Event comprises a 6km, 12km, 4-hour relay, and our mini Alpha kids race. The 6km and 12km will have a competitive wave for those wanting to race on the day or qualify for OCR World Championships. SO WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO??
Run, carry things, monkey bars, jump over walls, climb, crawl in mud and much more. Our job is to create an adventure and your job is to have fun. For all races, there is no pressure to do an obstacle if you can’t. There is NO FAILURE at the Alpha Challenge - although we can’t promise that there won’t be a burpee or squat penalty. It is more than a race though. We want the day to be a chance to get together with friends, cheer each other on, have some good food and drinks supplied by Wanaka locals and listen to a Wanaka DJ all while overlooking the stunning backdrop of Dublin Bay.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
