A series of events in Sligo to commemorate the centenary of Countess Markievicz could be on the cards.
It takes place in 2027 and it's thought locally that preparations should get underway sooner rather than later.
It's hoped that a Countess Markievicz Day could be developed, similar to WB Yeats Day as part of the celebrations.
