Karina Mora is a professional photographer, speaker, and successful podcaster devoted to helping people reclaim their cultural legacies and elevating her native Mexican culture through photography and spoken word. Her podcast Elevating la Cultura features stories from first and second-generation Latinas who are working hard, pursuing their passions, and pouring their positive efforts and benefits into the next generations. Her work has been featured at several local businesses in the greater Chicago area, and Pilsen Open Studios art show in 2019, and has led many workshops on social media, photography, and podcasting for the non-profit, The Firehouse Dream. She currently lives in Chicago with her two kids and husband and they are in the process of building a studio space that can be used for workshops, small events, and various creative projects that elevate the importance of cultural legacy.
