Oldex

Audio adaptations from older, out of print codexes and other Warhammer 40,000 rulebooks by me, RJ Bayley. For lovers of oldhammer, middlehammer, Warhammer 40,00 lore and Warhammer lore in general. You can talk to me about 40K and which old 40K fiction I should turn my attention to next at https://twitter.com/RJBayley. Got an old rulebook you want to send me for me to adapt into audio? Get me on Twitter, above, or at robertjbayley@gmail.com. Many thanks to Graham McNeill for his help with identifying which authors go with which codex stories. Sorry for the week off! I've had an extremely turbulent life this past few weeks, and simply forgot that last Monday was a Monday. Here we are though, back with the Chaos Space Marines forces, with some welcome humour towards the back of this entry.

In the ongoing evolution of Oldex, this time I'm separating the lore from the army entry stats, as the majority of feedback suggested following the unit entries in last season's Codex Tyranids. I don't know why I read everything, but I did. I'm exhausted at the moment, my brain wasn't even thinking about what to exorcise or edit, it just saw words and verbalised them. What do you think of having literally all the stats in there as well as the fluff? On the one hand, its completionist, on the other, is that even a good thing in this case? Sorry for the week off. I was working like crazy to finish an audiobook project before a brilliant weekend away of narrative 40K gaming. This was fun to go into the specific of how various Tyranid weapons actually work.

The current stars of the 40K show make their earlier mark here, a great set of jaws swallowing the galaxy from beneath. Interesting to note that so much of the current storyline is being pulled from this far back, with heavy emphasis being placed on the Octavius sector here as well.  It was the setting at the launch of the most recent edition of Kill Team and a major one in ninth edition 40K, with it's own secondary objective: retr...
