and fourth Military Intelligence Brigade Commander of Fort Cabasos. Colonel Pry,
how are you, sir, doing well?
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Thanks for having me on the show.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
We're going to jump right in. You know, we just
had a Memorial Day and it's it's summertime, and there
are some summer safety things we'd let to go over
there at for Colassos.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Summer is a time where we traditionally are able to
take a lot of time off to be with family
and friends, and you know, we really want everyone to
stay safe. Definitely want people to take advantage of school
having a break and getting out there to go have fun.
But if you're going to go out boating or driving
long distances or even just staying out in the sun
(00:52):
too long, you got to do it safely. You got
to reapply that sunscreen, you know, every two hours and
a minimum, but you know, maybe even a little bit
more for with the kids as they're jumping in and
out and wrestling with each other. Water safety. You got
to keep an eye on those kids. Never take your
eye off of leaving for a few minutes, especially the
younger ones who can't swim the best.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
Yet, you can never underestimate how intense the sun gets
to be in Central Texas this time of year, for sure, Yes,
Sir Colonel Pryor, let's talk a little bit about the
Army's two hundred and fiftieth birthday. Last week, four cavassosloaded
tanks bound for Washington, d C. Kicking out preparations for
the Army's two hundred and fiftieth birthday parade in the
nation's capital.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Yees, So it's going to be a great event. So
the only two hundred and fiftieth birthday comes up on
the June fourteenth of this year, and nearly half of
the vehicles that are going to be in the parade
in Washington, d C. Are coming from here at Fort Cavasas.
This includes our armored tanks as well as some Bradley
Strikers and Paladins and about eighteen hundred soldiers to a company.
(01:49):
Our commanding general for the cores as well as the
Command Gennifal some of our divisions. It's going to be
an absolutely great event. But for those who aren't able
to make the trip out to DC, if you want
to celebrate with us locally here June nineteenth, from five
to eleven pm at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center,
we're going to be having an Armored Corps hosted Army
Ball that's open for anyone who would like to find
(02:11):
our Facebook page and get tickets. It's going to be
a really great time.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
We are visiting with Colonel Benjamin C. Priye, five hundred
fourth Military Intelligence Brigade Commander at four k Alassos. Sir,
let's talk about the five hundred and fourth Expeditionary Military
Intelligence Brigade and what you all have coming up.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Oh yes, sir, so Arbrigaye has three battalions, two of
them here at Fort Cavassos and one down at Fort Bliss,
and they're Thompson retraining so we can be ready to
help contribute by fight these nations wars to get the
fore fight and win. And right now one of those
battalions is participating in a war fighter exercise here on
for Cavassos working with divisions from Colorado, from the United Kingdom,
(02:52):
France in Germany. One of the largest exercises that we've
done in years. This is a great opportunity, very exciting
time for my Noary intelligence analysts and officers as they're
using some cutting adds technology that's still being developed and
tested and we're trying to validate that we can use
it operationally. So this is all about validating that our
core is ready to deploy a fight and win anywhere
(03:13):
in the world on demand.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Well, and it's very important to understand how military intelligence
supports the average soldier in the mission that we have, Sir,
Colonel one last point, we always like to bring this
up during our broadcast each week. We are still in
the fight, sir, Yes we are.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
You know. We We've got probably over fourteen hundred soldiers
from Fort Cavassos that are currently deployed around the world.
We have soldiers along the border and Europe, along the
Korean Peninsula, South America, Africa, and the East. So I
would ask everyone listening just keep those soldiers and the
families in your prayers and your thoughts.
