We're pleased to be joined by Lieutenant Colonel Richmond with
four cavassos this morning.

Dwayne, it's great to move to you this morning. Thanks
so much for having me on to talk about what's
happening with Fork of Ossos and our soldiers.

Let's get started. It's time for Rodeo Colleen and that
is a big event in the Kaleen community every year,
and Rodeo Colleen's Military Appreciation Night kicks off with the
big pre show later on the scene.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Absolutely yeah, Tonight's Military Appreciation Night, like you said, kicks
off with the pre show at seven fifteen. The rodeo
starts at eight at the Kleening Rodeo Grounds over on
ws Young Drive. Mission is free with Military id VA
card or D two fourteen. Great way for the community
to come together out of the service and sacrifice of
our military members. I think events like this are really

a good way to show strong support between the forkvassos
and neighbors in the Central Texas.

Area, so it's a good time to come on out
and show your appreciation. Tomorrow is a big day. Let's
talk about the Abrams Outdoor Fitness Park ribbon cutting event.
Been looking forward to this for a.

While absolutely, Yeah, Tomorrow afternoon at three pm, we'll be
doing the ribbon cutting on the brand new Abrams Outdoor
Fitness Park. It's the first of its kind in the Army.
It's got five different spaces, multi use court, even a
playground for kids, so families can stay active together and
really get out and just enjoy the space.

The park supports Army readiness, wellness and the Fort Cavaso's
commitment to building a healthier force together and so that
is such an important topic to touch on.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
And then just to add Saturday, starting at nine am,
we'll have free fitness classes, demos and activities for the
whole family. So you can check out the full schedule
on the Forkvassos MWR website.

Now, something else coming out tomorrow is Safety Awareness Day,
and safety is such a vital part of the mission.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
That's right Friday from eight to four pm at the
Phantom Warrior Stadium here on Post We're hosting Safety Awareness day.
It's just a great up to highlight how safety is
a part of readiness. Whether it's reporting hazards or following procedures,
everyone has a part to play. We encourage everyone, military,
civilian families to come on out, learn and help us

continue building a culture of safety here on Fort Colossos.

It's not just about checking box, it's about building that
culture that you touched on in prevention is such an
important part of everything that you do.

That's right, Just a great chance to learn, get involved,
take away practical steps help protect yourself and those around you.

out right there. Now, let's talk a moment about the
thirty sixth Engineering Brigade currently being deployed supporting the Southwest
Border Mission.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
That's right, Yeah, I'm the deputy commander for the thirty
six Engineer Brigade. We have soldiers currently deployed supporting the
Southwest Border Mission. Our headquarters just wrapped up the exercise
for a Guardian Response in support of the Defense Seaburn
Response Force otherwise known as the SURF. They'll be returning
home this week. Then additionally, we have soldiers continually training

preparing for support to National Training Center as well as
other training exercises around the installation.

And finally, something we'd like to touch on every week
when we visit with you all, we are still in
the fight.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
We have more than fourteen hundred and four KVASSO soldiers
currently deployed around the world, places like the US border,
like we touched down Europe, South Korea, South America, Africa,
and the Middle East. So we're in a lot of
places and the core is very busy. Please keep them
and their families and your thoughts and prayers.
