We are so excited to return to the ring on
the evening of twelfth September and Abrams Physical Fitness Center.
They doors open at five pm, the event starts at
six pm. We have more fighters, we have more bouts
than last time, and I can't tell you the energy
(00:50):
that we experienced last time that I think we're starting
to see now where we just started to publish the
photos of the fighters of the unit they're representing on
our social media platforms and people are excited. Soldiers are excited,
they're pumped up. We are hoping to pack Abram's Physical
Fitness Center again. While the wall, the soldiers and families
(01:13):
we're going to be broadcasting this on divids, so we're
going to have a dividhub dot net link soon to
share with everyone. And I'm glad you brought it up.
The last time we did this, Dwayne, we found out
after the fact there were small little watch parties all
the way from Fort Mead, Maryland, where we trained some
of our Public Affair soldiers, to Fort Watchuka, Arizona, where
(01:34):
we have am I soldiers being trained, all the way
to Schoolfield Bears, Hawaii. So our great place, ford Hood
and the energy and the atmosphere we brought with the
fight several months ago. It made it not only coast
to coast, but the jumped almost the Pacific into Hawaii,
and the soldiers even at four Cross in Colorado, they're like,
(01:56):
when can we have a fight night? So I hope
people get a chance to if you can be there,
get there early. Last time there was a line before
doors opened, and it's not We hope you can just
come and join us of a good time. It's going
to be able to food, beverages available for purchase, and
we're streaming it online as well, so it's going to
be a very very.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Exciting time and that's kind of twelve September, so that's
right around the corner.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
Right around the corner, so not even like two fridays
to go, so maybe a little over over a week.
But yet there's no tickets, so first come, first serve.
There is going to be a capacity. So last time
we're almost close to peak capacity. Some people were waiting
and we were able to squeeze in more people. So
no tickets, first come, first serve to get there.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Early, right, Okay, looking forward to we're visiting with Colonel
Camille stall Kopper, Director of Public Affairs, Three Armored Corps. Sir,
let's talk about three Armored Corps just a moment. I
know there's some exciting things to update everybody.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
With three Armored Corps, we are a busy place. There's
training happening year round, and not only within the core construct,
which is four divisions and a field artillery brigade in
Fort sil but on ford Hood there's always something. I
know people always kind of ask us, hey, let us
know if there's gonna be a lot of explosions or
(03:16):
tanks firing or or held in housers firing. That that
is daily weekly with thirty five thousand soldiers, it's never
a boring training adventure on on ford Hood. A couple
of key things to highlight right now. This week First
Cab Division they're celebrating their one hundred and fourth birthday
(03:37):
this week wow the entire division. They're having a giant
round of friendly competitions such as boxing, basketball, skied shooting,
but they're also doing some more combat focused events to
celebrate the history and the heritage of the First Cab Division.
There is a combat kitchen cookoff where each unit is
(03:57):
going to see who has the best field cook and
to tie all off. This history and legacy of America's
first team leads into how they're going to be transforming
armored formations to fight on the modern battlefield. There's other
things that are happening besides just a celebration within First
Calb Division. So let's talk about this transformation of how
(04:19):
armored units fight. So First Calb Division they're giving me
called Transformation and Contact. Their program is called Pegasus Charge
and this is not just about new equipment, but they're
looking to push the boundaries of how an armored unit
like First calve, how do they think, how they organize,
how do they train, and how do they operate with
(04:39):
new equipment and new concepts how the modern battlefield, So
a lot of exciting times in the First Cab Division
and lastly Gray Wolf Brigade, Third Armor Brigade Combat Team
will First Cab Division. They case their colors August twenty eighth,
and they're heading to Europe to support our allies and partners.
That's going to be coming up in in about the
(05:00):
next month or so to begin to deploy overseas. September
is here, the weather is changing, but September is also
suicide prevention month. So there are a lot of resources
available to soldiers, families and army civilians in case you're
experiencing some kind of issues, some kind of trauma. Reach
out to the variety of resources that are available on
(05:24):
ford Hood in your local community in case you need
some help.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
We always, Colonel like to close with this in our
program each and every week, sir, we are still in
the fight. More than seventeen hundred ford Hood soldiers currently
deployed around the world. You've got soldiers on the US
border and Europe, South Korea, South America, Africa, and the
Middle East as well, Sir.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
That's about the increase with gray Wolf deploying, but also
you mentioned the Southern Border and the eleventh Course Sigma Brigade.
They are scheduled to replace elements of a Course CIP
Brigade out of Ford Bragg in a co in months
to support with the retransmission communications satellite communications, so not
the entire eleventh Core Signal Brigade, but a very small
(06:08):
elements and about the several dozens will be also supporting that,
so I appreciate you bringing that up.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
Doing absolutely our pleasure, Sara, and as always we want
to keep our soldiers who are deployed as well as
their families and our thoughts and prayers.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
