What's GOOD family?!?! On this episode we are joined by Dr. Dana Gionta, a clinical psychologist and women's coach with over 20 years of experience, who shares with us some of the biggest keys to happiness and success for women.
Dr. Gionta talks to us about how she got her start in psychology after falling in love with helping people and attending therapy herself. We also talked about why mental health and seeking help for mental health is so stigmatized in the United States.
On this episode Dr. Gionta explains the importance of women setting healthy boundaries for themselves and how to do so effectively both at home and in the workplace. She also explained the 3 styles of communication (passive, assertive, and aggressive) and how if not practiced correctly people tend to become passive-aggresive. We closed the episode dispelling the myth that self love and self care is selfish and in face it is imperative to practice these acts in order to be successful in other areas of your life.
Whether you're a stay at home mom, a woman in the workforce, or both (or a man with women in your life) this episode is full of insights on how women can lead happier, healthier, and more successful lives. ENJOY!!!!
