On the morning of October 4th, 1988, 11-year-old Annette Saygers was last seen standing at a bus stop near her home in Mount Holly, South Carolina. Despite Annette reportedly leaving behind a note explaining her absence, she has not been seen or heard from in over 30 years. Neither has her mother, Korrina Malinoski, who disappeared eleven months before Annette. What happened to this mother and daughter? Did they leave together? Did Annette's mother come back for her as stated in the note? If so, then why have they never been seen or heard from? Who or what could be responsible for this odd pair of disappearances?

Malanowski and Annette Sager's. On the morning of October fourth,
nineteen eighty eight, eleven year old Annette Sager's was last
seen standing at a bus stop near her home in
Mount Holly, South Carolina. Despite Annette reportedly leaving behind a
note explaining her absence, she has not been seen or

heard from in over thirty years. Neither has her mother,
Karina Malinowski, who disappeared eleven months before ant On November
twenty first, nineteen eighty seven, the day of Karina's disappearance,
Karina and Stephen Malinowski, Karina's husband and Annette's stepfather, had
an argument related to Stephen's drinking. According to Stephen, Karina

left to go for a drive, leaving the Mount Holly
plantation and driving towards Highway fifty two between eleven and
eleven thirty pm. She didn't return that night. The next day,
Karina didn't show up to work at the Oasis convenience store.
This was out of character for Karina, so her boss,
Bruce Clarkson began looking for her, Thinking that perhaps her

car had broken down. He headed for Karina's house and
found her car parked and locked outside the gated entrance
to the plantation, but no sign of Karina herself. He
claimed there was a layer of dew on the car,
which would indicate that the car had been sitting there
all night. Later that day, Stephen filed a missing person's report.

Authorities searched the area around the plantation for any signs
of Karina, but found nothing. No signs of a struggle
of foul play, no items belonging to Karina. Nothing. The
idea that Karina would willingly up and leave her children
seemed unbelievable to those who knew her. Stephen submitted to
a polygraph test, but the results were inconclusive, with no

real leads. This is where the case of Karina would
have began and ended, had it not been for what
happened the following year. On October fourth, nineteen eighty eight,
just eleven months after her mother's disappearance, Annette Dane se
Geyer's walked to her bus stop on Highway fifty two
with her dog, as she did every school day. She

(02:08):
was wearing red pants, a red shirt, and white shoes.
Around seven a m. She was seen waiting at the
bus stop by the bus driver as he made the
stop across the road. No other children were picked up
at this bus stop, so they were certain that this
was a net. However, when the bus driver arrived at
Anet's bus stop about twenty minutes later, the eleven year

old girl was gone. While the area didn't have a
ton of traffic at this time, it also wasn't exactly abandoned,
and no one reported seeing a net get picked up
by someone else or walk off. Her stepfather, Stephen, didn't
realize she was missing until around four pm that day,
when she didn't show up after school. He later found

out that she had never made it to school that day.
When Stephen set out to search for a net, he
found a crumpled note written on school binder paper left
at the bus stop. The note read, dad, Mom came back,
give the boys lots of kisses and hugs, and also
U two love Annette. There were several words crossed out

and added in this clearly quite hastily written note. Around
four fifteen p m. Stephen alerted authorities to Anette's disappearance
and turned the note into law enforcement. Handwriting experts would
confirm that this note was written by a Net, although
they were unable to determine whether or not the note
was written under duress. Oddly, a Net's dog was also

missing and also was never found. Following Annette's disappearance, the
plantation and surrounding area were searched on foot and from
the air, but just like with her mother, there were
no signs of a net. Since their disappearances, no one
has seen or heard from Karina nor a Nette, nor
have there been any solid clues as to what could

have happened to the mother and daughter. An anonymous letter
was received into two thousand which claimed that Karina and
Annette were buried in Sumter County, South Carolina, along with
a detailed map of the location the bodies were supposedly buried.
Police searched the area on this map but found nothing.
