Howdy! Send us a text to share what you’re listening to, or just say, “Hi!”

Discover your psychic abilities, mediumship, and love lessons we're all meant to learn while on earth. For psychic medium June Edward, a simple meditation session unleashed her abilities that she had suppressed since childhood — abilities we all possess to varying degrees.

In this interview, June shares her remarkable journey from being unaware of her gifts to becoming a spiritual guide. She reveals how her painful marriage to a narcissist became the catalyst for a profound spiritual awakening and understanding. "You plan the life you have here," she explains, offering a perspective that transforms our view of difficult relationships from random suffering to purposeful lessons.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Hello, loves, and welcome to One Good Thing Media.
This is Gerald Spear, and I amthe host and creator of our show
.
This week, we are featuring aremastered interview about
psychic abilities and how youcan use them to enrich your life
experiences.
It originally aired as part ofSeason 2, episode 11, and has
been remastered to better meetour current standard of quality

(01:19):
Plus.
Let's be honest, we had atea-tiny audience back then and
want to make sure that all ourlisteners have the opportunity
to listen to this stellarepisode.
We'll be returning next week toour regular format with a new
summer vacation road tripepisode that I promise will keep

(01:41):
your kids entertained and allowyou to kick back and enjoy the
scenery.
As for this episode, ouroverarching themes are psychic
abilities and life lessons, andnow it's time for our featured

(02:01):
interview.
Today I'll be speaking to JuneEdward, a platform psychic
medium who passed to the otherside when she was only 27 and
returned to her current life andform by choice.
She has worked on missingperson cases for the police and
consulted with many well-knownparanormal groups and authors.

(02:23):
June has also created theRelationship Mastery Program,
which teaches people how tochange their energy, learn their
five love lessons, repair theirrelationships if they're worth
saving and magnetize anyone oranything into their life.
Today, I'm going to be talkingto June about her background,

(02:46):
when she first discovered herpsychic abilities, and why she
didn't leave her lying andcheating spouse early in her
marriage.
The latter, by the way, contains enough wisdom to make
this interview a very worthwhilelisten for all of you.
Hi June, how are you today?

Speaker 3 (03:08):
I'm doing fantastic.
Thank you for having me.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
This is going to be a great interview.
Okay, let's get going.
When we were discussing yourbackground prior to this
interview, you mentioned that inyour much younger years you had
experienced a relationship witha serial liar and cheater.
Why don't you tell us a littlebit about it?

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Oh yes, he was to the max.
So you have to remember firstof all that you planned the life
that you have here andeverything happens for a reason.
And he was the love of my lifeat my time and he was my second
real major relationship in lifeand fell madly head over heels

(03:55):
in love with him.
He was very different fromanybody that I'd ever met before
, very engaging, and we hadthree children together, which
you know you couldn't have hadthose with anyone else.
It's interesting because you'reonly supposed to see what you
see when you see it.
So I'll give you an example.
He had been, he was, he's anarcissist, and he's a true

(04:19):
narcissist, which is a mentalillness.
People think people arenarcissistic because they take
care of themselves first.
This was not on that level.
He is a true narcissist.
He was literally leading adouble life.
He had more clothes at hisgirlfriend's house than he had
in our home and I didn't evenrealize they were going out in
bags.
Had I known he had beencheating on me for almost three

(04:45):
years, I would not have had mythird child, and it was almost
as soon as I'd had him.
He was only a few weeks oldwhen something just triggered
that.
I think he's cheating on me.
So the universe literally putsa veil over you.
You're not supposed to seethings until you're supposed to
see them.
If I'd seen it any earlier, Iwould not have had my third

(05:12):
child with him.
Yet as soon as my child was born, boom, something clicked.
And you know I started lookingthrough the phone records,
because back then it was the oldphone bag phone in a bag
basically and it printed outevery phone call for the record,
for the phone bill.
And he was a union organizer atthe time and there were nursing

(05:35):
homes on there.
I'm like, oh, maybe he'sorganizing a nursing home.
And when he came home, you know, I stayed up till almost 2
o'clock in the morning takingcare of the kids, cleaned the
house.
I waited up for him and wewalked in the door.
I looked at him.
I said you're cheating on me,aren't you?
And oh, whoever told you thatthey're lying?
He was running for politicaloffice at the time.
They're just trying to causeproblems.

(05:57):
I'm like no one told me that.
And then he just admitted thewhole thing and laid it all out.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Did that confession end your marriage?
Right then.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
It did not Because, again, the universe had a lot of
things that it wanted to teachme.
And you know he went on to tellme how terrible he treated the
girlfriend, how he never tookher out in public because he was
afraid to be seen, and blah, blah, blah.
So here I am feeling bad forthe girl and I'm like, well, you
know, with that bracelet comefrom that you got for Christmas.

(06:27):
You told me the guys gave it toyou.
He goes, no, that was from her.
I'm like, okay, so Sundaymorning was a political meeting
day and he's on his way to themeeting and I called her on her
phone and I said you know thatI'm his wife and, um, you know,
I know everything about it andI'm sure he's told you already.

(06:49):
And you know, I just wanted tomail back to you the bracelet
you gave him for Christmas, cause I'm sure it was very
expensive.
And uh, she's like what are youtalking about?
She goes, what are you talkingabout?
He told me you're in a mentalhospital.
In fact, he comes here everySunday morning.
He'll be here any second, hangon.
And she hands him the phone.

(07:10):
Talk about timing.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
Yeah, so this is after it was supposedly all over
, and yeah, so here we go again.
So we went to marriagecounseling and this is why I
don't believe in couplescounseling.
Every marriage counselor wewent to either told me to get
the heck out and run or accusedme of having an affair.

(07:36):
And if we went to a female, hewas accusing her of taking my
side.
It was just horrendous.
He was accusing her of takingmy side.
It was just horrendous.
So I spent maybe six monthstrying to put it all back
together and he insisted it wasover and he was committed to the
relationship and committed tothe children.

(07:56):
And we went on vacation andblah, blah, blah and I came back
and he started with me wantingto have a fourth child.
And I'm like, oh, no, no, no,not this soon, no, no.
And I just had a funny feelinghe was still cheating on me and
I also I'm not sure how I foundout that she moved, but I knew

(08:18):
that the girlfriend had movedand I was able to get the new
address.
So I was my best detective.
I hired a babysitter to watchthe kids, borrowed the
babysitter's car and I went totake a ride over at lunchtime to
see where the girlfriend hadmoved to, and as I'm pulling up
in front of the house again, everything in life is timing

(08:39):
right.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
He didn't.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
He comes walking out the front door, a guy from works
pulling up beside me.
He walked right in front of mycar and didn't.
He comes walking out the frontdoor, a guy from works pulling
up beside me.
He walked right in front of mycar and didn't even realize it
was me until he got into theother car and the guy's like
that's your wife.
Yeah, actually I know how I gotthe address of where she moved
to, because back then they hadpagers moved to because back

(09:06):
then they had pagers.
And I went to the pager storeand got a duplicate of the pager
and told them that you know,he's out of town a lot and I
need to get the phone calls ifhe doesn't get the phone calls.
So I got a duplicate of thepagers.
So when he got paged I gotpaged.
That's how I got the newaddress.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Very interesting and clever, I might add.
On another note, at the timethat you caught your husband
cheating, you hadn't fullyreleased your psychic abilities.
And then one day, many yearslater, you decided to meditate

(09:39):
what happened meditate.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
What happened Right?
So I was having, I was goingthrough a second divorce and
having a lot of trouble in mybusiness and making decisions
out of desperation instead oflistening to my soul.
And I went to a Reikipractitioner to relax and she
recommended that I meditate.
And I'm like there's just noway I can meditate.
I've got too much going on inmy life.
I'm running five businesses atthe time going through a divorce
, taking care of my mom who'ssick, and the first time I tried

(10:08):
to meditate it was like theykicked the door into the other
side and I couldn't shut it off.
And I'm working as a medicalesthetician in my own business
and the first client that comesin, I'm like, hmm, did your aunt
just die?
And she's like, yeah, how'd youknow that?
I'm like I have no idea how Iknow that.
Like, did you just clean outher house?
She goes, yeah, we cleaned itout last weekend.

(10:30):
I'm like, oh, like, did youhappen to find one of those sock
puppets?
It looks like a monkey thatthey made in the 50s.
She's like, yeah, we found onein the attic.
I'm like, oh, my God, and itjust got crazier and crazier.
I mean by the third person inmy room.
You know she was being followedin by her, her dead husband.
She was a widow and he was inmilitary uniform standing next

(10:54):
to me the whole time.
She didn't want to knowanything, it was just I just
couldn't shut it off.
I had to go find people totrain me to learn how to shut
this off.
Because I could, I would havegone crazy.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
In our initial conversation you said that when
you were a child, your abilitieswere squelched by your parents
and other adults Not harshly, but they would say things like
oh honey, that's just yourimagination.
So you took what they said toheart and turned off your
psychic abilities as best as youcould.

(11:28):
You also said that we're allborn with some degree of psychic
abilities.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
Yeah, it's like playing a piano.
Some people sit down and justplay chopsticks.
Other people apply themselves abit and can learn a couple of
songs.
Other people really want totrain themselves and work at it
and become concert pianists, andthen I'm like your six-year-old
prodigy that just sits down andplays Mozart.
But everyone has the ability.
It's the difference between sobeing.

(11:57):
In this 3D world, in this body,we all have brains in our heads
.
Right, our brain is a massivecomputer, but our brain has a
very specific job.
Its job is to protect you.
How does it do that?
It does it by creating fear.
So most people make theirdecisions based on fear, and
that's literally a crapshoot.
Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't work out,

(12:18):
but you're always questioningyourself, aha.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
You also related how important it is to trust your
intuition or your gut feelings.
Can you give us a couple ofexamples?

Speaker 3 (12:31):
Everyone has had something happen in their life
that they just knew they weresupposed to do something,
Whether it was.
They knew they were supposed todrive a different way to work.
They knew they weren't supposedto take that trip.
They knew they were supposed tomarry someone, Whatever it was,
they just knew.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Is that your intuitive self coming through?

Speaker 3 (12:50):
That is your soul, that knowing is your soul.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Interesting, which leads to this how can we use
those intuitive feelings or soulto make sure we don't end up
with jerks?

Speaker 3 (13:06):
You always have to learn how to get in touch with
your soul.
That's the biggest thing.
When you get in touch with yoursoul, even if you think it's
the wrong decision, it's notOkay, just like you can say, oh,
I should have never married myfirst husband.
That's not true.
I listened to my soul, I knewhe was the one for husband.
That's not true.
I listened to my soul, I knewhe was the one for me, I knew I
was supposed to marry him and Ihave three wonderful children

(13:27):
because of it and I got quitethe experience.
So everything, everythinghappens for a reason.
But you have to learn thelesson or you just keep
repeating it.
You know, if you, there's fivelessons that we came here for
our soul, to learn, to progress, and if you don't learn it, you
keep repeating the lessons.
So, for instance, the universewants you to think you have

(13:50):
choice.
Okay, the only choice youreally have is to delay those
lessons.
So it's going to offer you doorone, two and three.
You take door one.
You go through it.
You get married.
You have a couple of kids, youget divorced.
You're in front of door one.
Two you get married.
You have a couple kids, you getdivorced.
You're in front of door one,two and three again.
What do most people do?
Creature the habit take doorone again, get married, have a

(14:12):
couple more kids, get divorcedagain back in front of door one,
two, three.
If you learn the lesson thatyou're supposed to be learning
whether that's self-worth,communication and trust,
whatever lesson you're supposedto be learning if you learned it
that time, you're not takingdoor one anymore.
You're going to change and takedoor two and door three, and so
you're not going to end up withsomebody like that again.
You may still get married andhave children, but you're not
going to get divorced like wedid the first two times for that

(14:34):
reason, because you learnedthat lesson.
So if you can understand whatthe lesson is and listen to your
soul, then you won't keeprepeating and marrying the same
or dating the same jerk over andover.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
You've mentioned energy quite a bit in all of
your books and, by the way,we're going to be talking about
that towards the end of thisinterview, but for now, how do
you define energy?

Speaker 3 (14:58):
So everyone's walked into a wedding or birthday party
and felt that high energy andhow elated and wonderful.
It is right.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
Everybody knows what it likes to feel in love.
How high you are right.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Correct.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
And then everybody's walked into a funeral or heard
someone crying and sitting there, and that's low energy.
You feel that.
So that's what you have tostart getting in touch with,
feeling that difference inenergy, and when you start
understanding how energy works.
We're all magnets, so you arealways either attracting or
repelling at any given time, andyou're attracting the same

(15:34):
people that are on the sameenergetic frequency as you.
It's like a radio station.
You can't get the radio stationand unless you're on the right
frequency, right, it's the samething.
So if you're on the rightfrequency, right, it's the same
thing.
So if you're not happy with thepeople that you're bringing
into your life, you need toraise your vibration and then
you'll start bringing people inthat are on that same higher
vibration.
If you're going to be a DebbieDowner guess what?

(15:55):
That's low frequency, andyou're going to keep bringing
people in that are Debbie Downer.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
You know, misery loves company, so I'm assuming
that that is an acquired skill.
That goes way beyond justmaking sure you're in a good
mood or saying positive things.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
Well, it's a process in life and it takes people
sometimes their entire lifetimeto get there right.
So this is the reason that Iwrote my latest book, all's Fair
in Love and Karma, that I wrotemy latest book All's Fair in
Love and Karma because it laysout those five lessons, and I

(16:31):
created the seven-week onlineprogram, the Relationship
Mastery Program, to teach peoplethose five lessons.
Once you've learned them andyou've balanced your energy, not
only are you going to bring inexactly what you want in life.
It's like you're putting yourorder into a menu I want six
foot one, brown hair, blue eyes.
I put your order into a menu.
I want six foot one, brown hair, blue eyes.
I want him to be a lawyer.
I want this.
The universe will bring it,guaranteed.
This is how it works.
When you do the work, you getthe reward.

(16:52):
But you have to learn the fivelessons as well, because if
you're asking that and they'rebringing it and you have no
self-worth, they're not going tostay, are they?
If you don't have trust incommunication and they don't
know what you want and you don'ttrust them, and you don't trust
that there's a plan, they'restill going to leave.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
Amen to that.
I totally agree with you.
Let's move on to your books.
I want to talk about them.
The past week I perused thefour books that you've written
so far, and I'm sure youprobably have another one in the
works because there is so muchdancing in your mind.
But the four books that youcurrently have on my list are A

(17:36):
Night on the Other Side, insights and Conversations from
Heaven.
Dancing with the Universe, thriving, not Just Surviving,
through Dysfunction.
Destiny Card Journal what Doesyour Birth Card Say About your
Personal Life and how you HandleLove and All's Fair in Love and

(17:58):
Karma Five Steps toRelationship Mastery in Love and
Karma Five Steps toRelationship Mastery.
Can you elaborate a little bitfor our audience, such as your
motivations behind the books andwhat they actually teach people
?

Speaker 3 (18:13):
Sure A Night on the Other Side and that teaches
everyone how to develop theirpsychic ability and their
mediumship ability.
Dancing with the Universe is myautobiography For all those
people that say, poor me, youdon't know what I've been
through.
Guess what I've been there.
The Destiny Card Journal ishelping people astrologically

(18:34):
understand when they're born, some traits about themselves and
write their intentions in there.
And All's Fair in Love andKarma is my award-winning
bestseller and that is based offof the Relationship Mastery
program and it outlines the fivesteps to relationship mastery,
the reasons that you're here, why you keep repeating.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
I can see why it's a bestseller, because I love that
one the most.
I find myself trying to racethrough it because I want to go
to the next part and the next.
Most I find myself trying torace through it because I want
to go to the next part and thenext part, and then I have to
slow down and say hang on,gerald, let's digest this.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
I think everyone will recognize their own
relationships in there andthings that they've gone through
, why they've gone through itand things they may not have
realized that that's why theywere there.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
All in all, you have so much information.
It's almost like a treasuretrove of books and your mastery
program and videos and audios ofmany of your speaking
engagements.
If you could recommend onething for our audience in terms
of checking out what you have tooffer, what would it be?

Speaker 3 (19:44):
Right on my website.
They can spend a half a dayenjoying themselves watching the
videos.
There's links to all the books.
There is a free webinar theycan take.
There's students' videos theycan listen to.
There's all kinds of fun thingson there.
