Seventeen years ago this month, August,our friends and Grand Ole Opry stars
Dailey and Vincent completed the albumSinging From the Heart as a gift to
TBC founding President Malcolm Hill.
One of his cherished hymns,"The Old Rugged Cross," is
on it with his recitation.

This old hymn, written in 1912 byGeorge Bernard, captures the essence
of the rugged cross of Calvary.
It was a rough-cut, small tree, justtall enough to raise one above the
ground—much smaller than often depictedtoday, but in reality, larger than
the world because of the One who bledand died there for you and for me.
Jesus Christ bridged the gap of sinfulseparation between man and God with His
