Practical atheism is professing belief in God while living as if He isn’t real. Many Jewish priests, including the Sadducees, rejected essential spiritual truths even as religious leaders. In Jeremiah’s day, people claimed to worship God but shamelessly practiced sin, convinced they had permission. That mindset is still common today. Will you follow God wholeheartedly by obeying the Gospel of Christ, or are you simply part of a Christian social club?

Ever heard the term practical atheist?
Hi, David Hill with One Gospel Minute.
An atheist is one whodenies the existence of God.
A practical atheist is one whoacknowledges God, but lives
acts as if there is no God.
Did you know many of theJewish priests were Sadducees?
They denied a spirit, angels andlife after death (Acts 23:8).

Practical atheists?
Yes, indeed they were.
The prophet Jeremiah dealt with peoplewho attended worship to God but went out
and did whatever they wanted—stealing,murder, adultery, swore, falsely,
and saying, "We're permitted to doall these things" (Jeremiah 7:9-12).
They didn't believe in God, andsome are just like them today.
Some can even be found inleadership roles in the church.

Hard to believe, but true—justlike in the days of old.
How about it, friend?
Do you really believe in a living God?
If so, Jesus His Son said,you'll keep His commandments.
Are you just a Christian socialclub member, or are you committed
heart, soul, strength and mind?
Practical atheism might bemore prevalent than you think.
But without faith, it'simpossible to please Him.
