moving and helping us to getmore great content out to you
guys, especially sports andinspiration, which is what we do
best, hopefully.
But thank you again forlistening and we're going to
jump into this draft.
The Carolina Panthers are herelocally.
I get to hear a lot fromCarolina Panthers fans what they
want to see, excuse me, whatthey're thinking about.
We're going to definitely tryto address some of those things.

(01:45):
I think some of the biggestthings that we're noticing and I
know that the Panthers werealmost near the bottom of the
league last year and everybodykind of dumped them all year
long, but they got a lot of nicepieces in place.
It's not going to solve alltheir problems, but they're not
gutting the entire team and theentire franchise out.
They have some places to makesome moves and to build.

(02:06):
They have some depth issues insome spaces, like in the safety
position.
They really lack in depth there.
So they've got to dig intoeither the draft or free agency
or some undrafted guys thatdon't get picked up in next
April.
But cornerback, defensivetackle, edge rusher and wide
receiver are four of their mainissues.
Defense is a problem overall.

(02:28):
So anybody we can get to pushthe guys that are there that may
be underperforming.
We're definitely going to dothat.
So I think with about three orfour rounds for this mock draft,
I think we have I wouldprobably say we have about four
to five players that's going topop up here.
So we're going to be definitelytrying to get at least four or

(02:49):
five guys on this roster, whichis fine.
This is going to be fun.
We know what we're looking for.
With the first round, I'mtrying to find that playmaking
wide receiver.
In the second round, perhapssomebody to fill out at
cornerback.
They need that.
If I can get a safety there too, I'll definitely take that as

(03:13):
well.
Uh, and of course, for the nexttwo rounds or so, a defensive
tackle, a one-stopper and, ofcourse, some guys that rush the
passer.
Their past win rate last yearwas, I think, 31st at the bottom
or near the bottom, so you needto have an edge rusher.
Matter of fact, make it two.
So I'm trying to help them outwith this mock draft excuse me
see if we can get all of thesethings that they need on hand.
So let's go ahead and runthrough this carolina panthers

(03:34):
draft.
This should be fun.
See what we can find, all right, so they're trying to get us at
our eighth pick.
I doubt very highly I'm comingout of this eighth pick
especially for this mock, sothey're going to have to wow me
with something a lot better thanwhat we're seeing right here.
So, and obviously some folksreally want that eighth pick
badly Same thing, but I'm goingto pass.

(03:56):
I think the guy that I want tosee is hanging around, so I
can't believe he's there, but Ithink this is a alright.
So let's see, we try to find aguy that we're looking for here

(04:17):
with the number a pick.
Ah, this is a toughie.
Um, it's really hard to lookpast some of the talent that's
gonna be available right here, and I doubt very highly that
they're gonna enjoy looking pastthis ball of a player here.

(04:40):
I know that he's a running back, but I'm sitting here debating
oh, most of my friends in my earnow I could run it back,
probably fine.
They like Trouba Hubbard, theylike Brooks and Miles Sanders is
fine as a third string backthere.
I'm going to avoid thetemptation.
I know Ashton Gentry is righthere for the taking.
I'm surprised he's down thatfar.

(05:01):
I've been looking to getMcMillan but he popped off ahead
of time, so I'm going to goahead and get luther burden, the
third right here.
Uh, this guy is long rangy, fantastic wide receiver.
I think that's going to be abig help to bryce young, who
they basically betting on rightnow to have a comeback and,
honestly feeling, can't be thenumber one guy forever.

(05:23):
I didn't mention, uh, xavierleggett for a.
I don't see him as a widereceiver one.
I think he's complimentary, sowe need to have somebody who can
be the wide receiver one whenThielen is out of here.
So for me, I think LutherBurden although we reached a
little bit to get him is goingto help them out in this regard.
Honestly, I probably should getanother wide receiver too, but

(05:45):
I'll hold off on that for now.
All right, so we're looking atyou guys gonna help him out.
Okay, this is good.
This is good.
I think this is good.
All right, I don't want toreach too far here, all right.

(06:08):
So here I, here I'm, he's stillavailable.
I'm going to go ahead and takeCaleb Johnson here.
Honestly, there's a big needfor him in this, in this
particular offense.
I, like Trouba Hubbard, I'm notin love with Jonathan Brooks
and I don't know whether he'sgoing to come back off the

(06:30):
injury the way we think he is.
So, at this point.
The only way that Bryce Jonesis going to be able to make it
is if he has as many playmakersas possible, if he can get the
ball out of his hands quicklyand make plays, and I feel like
this is a bit of a reach.
I'm gambling with the Panthers'money here by getting Caleb

(06:50):
Johnson, but I think it may payoff in the end.
I'm not confident that Bruce isgoing to come in and push
Hubbard in any way and beanything beside, maybe a backup,
if he's even healthy enough todo that the kind of injury that
he had.
People don't always come backfrom it right away.
So there's the issue withprotection.
I kind feel like caleb johnsonwill kind of help out.

(07:12):
I believe he catches passes aswell, so we're going to go ahead
and keep on moving.
Uh, I'm going to probably stayaway from offense for the rest
of this mock draft.
Start looking at guys on theline and look who's sitting
around there waiting for us.
I can't believe he's there, buthe's right there.
Look at it.
Alfred collins, dt out of texas.

(07:35):
The panthers need one.
I'm taking this guy dominate.
One defender definitely has alot of upsides of pass rushes,
so with the right coaching hemay be able to become that.
And then some has a great size, great motor, all you can ask
for.
He's fluid, honestly, he's uh.
There's some room forimprovement on the pass rushing

(07:56):
side, but that can be fixed.
I think this guy is a keeper,so I think the pence will be
really happy to have him runningaround.
So we got wide receiver, wedidn't get our cornerback yet.
We didn't get our edge rusheryet.
I don't think Collins is itjust yet.
We can go ahead and try to finda guy to help us out in that

(08:17):
regard.
Oh, david Walker's a good guyhere out of Central Arkansas.
He didn't see a lot of the topcompetition, but he had a lot of
the measurables that you wouldbe looking for.
Probably his name a good bitmore if you go to the combine,

(08:39):
but I like him here.
I think the Panthers can doworse with a fourth round pick.
I think they're in a good spot,all right.
So we have one more pick leftand honestly I'm thinking that
we may need to be thinking abouttrying to get either another
edge or maybe somebody at safetyhere.
So I promise you we're going tostay on the defensive side, but

(09:03):
I'm hesitant about Billy Bowman, because I think they have him
listed as a linebacker andthat's not exactly what they're
needing right now.
So I am going to probably stayaway from this particular one
and see if we can do anything tohelp the Panthers out at safety
.
Excuse me, outside of thisgentleman here, jalen Reed I

(09:29):
mean he has the size.
I'm hesitant.
That's not the first timethat's happened.
Let me just last pick work wellfor these guys here.
Oh, I think that we're going togo outside of the box here.

(09:56):
We're going to get this edge.
Rusher out of Miami Saw somereal great things out of Tyler
Barron 6'4", 262.
And the man can run Run to 4'6"so he can chase down opposing
running backs and wide receiversif he has to, which I like.
I think it gives flexibility toCarolina the way they play.
I'm going to take him here.

(10:17):
And is that my last pick?
Sure is Okay.
So the first pick Luther BurdenIII out of Missouri my last
pick sure is okay.
So the first pick Luther BurdenIII out of Missouri.
Caleb Johnson, running back atIowa, is going to back up Huber
Hubbard and perhaps pushJonathan Brooks some, if not at
least make him even moremarketable for a trade and

(10:38):
Carolina would definitelyembrace that.
If Johnson pans out AlfredCollins one stop back, he's got
a potential to be a pass rusher.
They work on that.
They have a dynamic team withhim and David Walker on the
other side.
I like how that's looking Rightnow.
Jadavion Clowney is theirnumber one edge rusher.
Honestly, you don't want that.

(10:59):
Tyler Barron, the other guy atthe edge, kind of helped push
that defensive line core andgave me some pass rushing to
help Bryce Young out on theother side.
I like how it looks.
Let me know what you guys think.
