We are doing mock drafts fromnow until the first round of the
NFL Draft, which this year isgoing to be April 24th.
I'm going to coincide with ourfirst annual live draft special,
which you can find it onYouTube or wherever you

So we're excited about that.
(00:40):
Got some friends and fam in thebox with us Taking it, talking
NFL draft, all football for theentire first round.
I'll be here live, so I'mexcited about it.
Hope you guys will be joiningus.
I will be doing plenty of mockdrafts on several NFL teams.
Our goal is all 32.
I think we're doing pretty goodso far.
(01:01):
We probably have a good handfulalready on YouTube.
If you're watching or if you'relistening on your listening
platforms, those mock drafts arethere as well, so you can still
follow them if you're notseeing what you are listening.
So no worries there.
Excuse me, but thanks again forlistening and watching the show
.

Thank you again for all you doon our behalf.
We appreciate it.
Keep the love coming All right.
So the team today we're doing amock draft for is the Houston
Texans.
I am trying to figure out howmany picks these guys have this
(01:47):
year.
I did not see that, so I missedthat one.
My apologies, but either way,we know what they're looking for
.
They are only on their sites.
They're posting.
They have a need at Y receiver, which makes sense.
Their following days is comingback off of ACL.
And then on top of that youhave Robert Woods, who's a free
(02:12):
agent now Doubt very highly he'scoming back.
She takes a really, really gooddeal.
Tank Dale coming back off of aleg injury, multiple.
As a matter of fact, nico'sbeen having hamstring issues Go
blue baby, but he is definitelythe number one right now.
Until digs gets back, we'd havea nice little staff there
outside of woods and bell beingout for a little bit, but right
(02:36):
now you got digs, bell and nico.
That's not a bad situation, butI think they got eyes.
Another wide receiver, becausethey don't know how these guys
three guys basically coming offmajor injuries are going to uh
react, getting back into theoffseason training, offseason
training program and then, ofcourse, back onto the field.
So wide receiver is one of theknees interior o-line, without
(02:56):
question, probably at guard, mostly uh offensive tackle.
Uh, I see I kind of can see why.
There too some d-line, someedge help for sure, and some
help at cornerback and runningback as a backup to Joe Mixon.
Behind him is Ogun Bawali andhe's a free agent.
He was always a wide receiverfor wherever he was playing,
(03:18):
especially in Tampa before that.
So behind him is not a lot ofhelp.
Damian Pierce appears to not bethe answer.
So a backup at for Joe Mixon isgoing to be definitely in my
target list.
So we got a few rounds to pickhere.
I'm going to be looking atprobably interior o-line uh wide
(03:43):
receiver running back and maybe, if I can get a tackle, I'll
try to help these guys out withthis.
So let's see what we can findhere.
We're looking for reliable guysto help round this team out.
Honestly, this team is alreadydoing pretty well with uh
stacking talent.
Uh, honestly, I can't say anybad things about it.
Really, some guys just havesome injury issues and they kind
(04:03):
of fell back a little bit.
But honestly, honestly, thisteam is really good.
They really put together verywell and I think that they're
going to be a force to bereckoned with in years to come.
There's some holes to fill, sowe want to definitely try to
help them out with that.
So, for all my Texan fanfriends out there, bear with me,
I'm trying to give you somehelp out here.
You guys are going to bepicking at 25 here and dropping
(04:30):
back two picks just to get a.
I'm picking a fourth round, Iguess fifth round Not quite sure
it's worth it.
So let's keep on moving now.
No, thank you, we don't thinkwe need that.
So we'll keep on moving andfind somebody that's going to
help us out.
So right now, right at the top, armand Membu.
(04:54):
I like him a lot.
I got some information on him,but the bottom line is that he
is a stud back there.
I mean, he's a mauler.
He was shredding opposingdefenders and he's really good.
I think he's going to be a realasset to help out CJ Stroud.
(05:16):
Lord knows he needs it.
Last year he had a bit of aregression and he some of it was
predicted, but we realized thathe really needs some help.
I mean a member-of-the-kind guy.
You know he's really a widetackle so I'm not sure he can
play left tackle but perhaps hecan move over.
He's explosive, got reallysmooth delivery.
He's really good at stoppingthe run.
(05:38):
I can't say too much bad abouthim.
There's some technique thingsthat can be worked on.
But I think Houston has somegood coaches that can help him
out with that.
We're going to go ahead and takeMembo here to help out that
offensive line because theyreally need it.
They had some big fails in therun in the pass game last year.
(05:59):
Got a new OC coming in.
I'm sure he'd love to havesomebody he can work with.
Uh, who hasn't learned so muchbad stuff I have to unlearn it.
So I think, with a new oc andwith all the major failures in
the past in the one game lastyear, I think maybe we'll be
able to help him out uh.
So let's keep on looking to seewhat we have that we can try to
help this team out with.
We're going to pass on that.
(06:20):
Ooh, I like this guy, greg Zabel.
He's been a big riser on thedraft boards recently, been
looking really good at seniorbowl and apparently he's getting
his name being out there a lotmore than what we expected
originally.
So he's rising real quick.
(06:41):
I like him because he's playedall four O-line positions.
He's best suited at guard, buthe's played all four O-line
positions well, four of them inhis collegiate career and I
think that he is the kind ofversatility that these guys need
here.
Some of the guys on the O-lineare a little bit up in age and
probably playing their last yearor two in Houston.
(07:04):
So I think this guy's going tobe great in pass protection
quick feet, you know.
He's definitely able to shredrushes and stuff and I think
this is good.
So I think he has a good corestrength and balance and he's
just a really tough guy.
I like him here.
I think CJ has a good corestrength and balance and he's
just a really tough guy.
I like him here.
I think CJ Shroud is going tolove him, especially if he plays
(07:24):
left tackle, which he's able todo for sure.
We got a little bit of help withthe O-line.
That was one of the biggestthings I wanted to get
accomplished.
So now I want to start lookingat some offense for these guys.
They sure definitely needsomething.
So I'm going gonna try to seeif we can help him out in that
regard.
(07:45):
What we got going on here oohwow.
This is the toughie.
Let's move off of this for asecond.
I want to see if we have anytickets here.
Okay, let's go ahead and startoff.
This is the reach for us, but Ilike him here.
(08:08):
I like him because of what Ibelieve the running back core
needs behind Joe Mixon and Iknow I'm passing over DJ Giddens
.
I don't know a whole lot abouthim, but I do know Scatterbow.
We're going to go ahead andtake him.
He's a bowling ball for sure.
He's the kind of guy that is agreat complement to Joe Mixon.
I think it's going to make therunning back core stronger.
(08:28):
I know he had some big talkgoing into the last game of the
collegiate season for them inthe playoffs and things didn't
go quite Arizona State's way,but they got manhandled for the
most part.
But Scatterbow was who he saidhe was.
He's definitely that man and Ithink this is going to be a
(08:49):
valued asset on the Texans.
So I like this pick.
I'm going to go ahead and do alittle bit of a reach, but I
like it.
All right, I'm going to rejectthat trade as well.
Let a little bit of a reach, but I like it.
All right, I'm going to rejectthat trade as well.
Let's see where we are.
I think this is the kind of guyI think is going to help them.
It's who I think it is.
(09:16):
First off, let me make sure Idon't lose anybody at DT here.
Ooh, I'm going to stay onoffense.
I can't help myself.
There's a stretch for us here.
I'm going to go with Nick Nash, dan Jose State.
(09:41):
This kid is electric.
I think he's a fantastic player.
I think he takes the tops offof defenses, has great hands,
he's reliable, great routerunner.
I think he's going to be thekind of guy that I think is
going to be a big help to CJStroud While these guys get back
to their full health status.
Meaning Diggs, dale and, ofcourse, nico.
(10:01):
So I like to say I got Membuwith the first pick, we got Gray
Zabel with the second pick, cameron Scadable from Arizona
State, the bowling ball himselfand Nick Nash.
I think that the Texans arelooking pretty good, but I want
to hear you guys' thoughts.
Hit me up with the draft gradeson our YouTube channel at
theycallmemisteryou or anywhereyou find this episode simulcast
(10:24):
on your social media.
Love to hear back from you guyson what you think about this.
Let's keep it going.
More mock drafts to come.
Thanks for listening.
Have a great day.
