episodes 848 to 450. Sure, all right, whatever.
We returned to the scene of our Straw Hat friends fleeing from
Big Mom and in the Seducing Woods as they all duck, dive,
weave, and dodge Big Mom's attacks.
Sanji heads off with Pudding andshe phone to Chocolate Town so
they can get to work taking thatwedding cake on the Sunny.

Chopper and Brooke valiantly fend off against waves of Big
Mom Pirates, but bite off a little bit more than they can
chew after they challenge pair of Sparrow and are eventually
subdued. Thankfully, before too long,
Luffy and Co make it back to theship in the nick of time to
start turning things around. Despite things looking up
though, the Straw Hats are stillvery much in danger.
Carter Curry has Luffy occupied,Pero Sparrow has locked down

both Pedro and the Sunny itself,and Amanda is closing in on
their location with an Armada oftart ships ready to fire at
will. Oh, and Big Mom is bunching on
the stern too. Pedro makes a noble SEC excuse
me makes a noble and heartfelt sacrifice to secure the Straw
Hats escape and Luffy drags himself into mirror worlds with

witness Luffy's hardest encounter to date and possibly
one of the greatest fights and shown in history commence.
You know, it seems like half of that last statement can can
possibly be true, but the first half is just blatantly untrue.
What do you mean? Calling calling Luffy's hardest
encounter to date Katakuri, it seems to really just spit in the

face of what he just went through with Big Mom.
I mean like I don't know, in my head I'm just like yo if Luffy
was given enough time to hit BigMom good or or good enough he'd
beat her. But like he can't even hit
Katakuri so he doesn't even get the chance to hit Gooder.
He went he he has already tried to use gear 4 on her and have it

not work. What's I believe?
I believe in the potential for Luffy TO1V1 big mom.
She's just a big she's just a big gal with possibly
indestructible skin. All right, but I believe Luffy
can just sound or ring her bell hard enough, hard enough to, you
know, do do the thing. But what's he going to do
against Mochi Mochi guy who can predict the future and just be
like, Nah, we've we've we've. That is an incredibly hot take.

I don't understand where you're getting this confidence from.
I just feel like, like I, I don't know in my brain if I had
OK so if I'm in a fight and my and there's two types of porn,
two types of opponents. 1 opponent I literally can't hit
and the other opponent I just can't seem to hit hard enough in
my shoes. I'm convinced that if I just hit

with Katakuri's or he's just going to go faster to the point

with the mochi, mochi versus gumgum and mochi does seem on paper
to be a little bit more potent than than gum gum.
The problem is just that Katakuri also has higher levels
of observation. So the fight is going to be fun.

more of Katakuri doing things that aren't just.
He uses observation hockey to predict things I like.
He's got this big, this big coolass weapon too, which I'm
excited to see if that has any special properties to it or if
it's just a weapon that he likesusing outside of beans.

I want to see what Katakuri's got it up his sleeve here,
because I'm sure it's got he's got more than just mochi mochi.
I want to see the special properties of it outside of he

week's episode cliffhanger in the Ekoku sovereignty.
And I just got to say we don't really get much out of it.
But seeing the scene again it still annoys me.
And I I think I briefly mentioned this with Devin but
not enough as much as I wanted to that they have that scene of
the Ekoku shooting and then the magic carpet is flying away and

Sanji is actively falling away from it.
Except at the end of last episode he manages to magically
grab it even though the animation suggests he's falling
far far away from it. And seeing it again annoyed me
once again. And I just had to put that out
there because this was a great opportunity for for for I don't

know, more conflict or potentially Sanji just dying in
a giant, giant based attack. And that would have been OK with
me or at least being severely injured.
You know, something, something along those lines would have
been great. But but no, we, we, we, we had
no consequences for this animation error and we just move
on with our lives. That's crazy.

I, you know, I, I got to ask though, before we get too far
away, what Maybe we rewind a little bit farther and I ask you
what you thought of the last basically 6 episodes that you
have missed up to this point. That's wow.

tower, was it already made out of cake like that was that was
actual like brick and mortar? That that was the the thing they
were standing on when they were going to do their vows.
That was the actual cake, but the the normal whole cake

Veggie. Veggie is both a serious
character and not he he has these moments and I've I've met,

also, just that he's this very serious build up character.

basically until he until now. Flash forward, he has a wife and
a kid and he's the biggest teddybear and, and will do anything
to save his family, both chiffon, his kid Pez and his
mafia family as well. So he's he's just a big, he's a

to to keep his people safe. So I I'm I'm with veggie.
I'm I'm a veggie guy. I like veggie.
And then there was and then there was big daddy.
Big daddy was great. I think that's mostly, that's
mostly a couple weeks ago. Then we then last week we've got
you know, last week was a littlebit uneventful for kind of a lot

of it. I don't really think that that
it kind of sucked in the moment,but every week can't be bangers.
However, last week we got some of the well, first of all, we
got King Balm ripping pieces, myboy, although there aren't even
pieces anymore. He's been completely ashed now

say that last week is when we get the the introduction of
this, the two faced pudding. Now we have this Jekyll and Hyde
pudding and we get a little bit of it this week and we'll
probably get it in future weeks as we get episodes of them
finally baking that cake. I had hoped to see some of that

this week, but we didn't get it.So hopefully next week or the
week after that. Interspersed with fights between
Luffy and Katakuri of course. However, I'm I still hate that
Pudding is so smitten with Sanji.
I think it's completely unearnedand I hate it.

However I'm being given, I'm being given the barest crumbs
right now of my original hope inthat she would still be evil.

This needs to this needs to go in facts because because I like
really, really though, pudding is one of the strongest counters
right now to big mom because we can do psychic damage and so
much of it. Probably even if we don't go
that dark, I think that's the best case scenario.
But even if we don't go that dark, we just you can make you

can show her memories of, I don't know, mother caramel again
or something like that and have maybe have it have the same
effect that breaking the portrait does, because she just
gets so emotional reliving the memory that she's acceptable now
to punch instead of using a fucking rocket launcher.

pudding, then we need to, we need to utilize her more because
that, that little showcase of her power was, was all I needed.

It's kind of unclear how her howher memory overwriting power

So if she can just fabricate a memory, then it feels as though,

like sky island form, but I might have made that up in my

wings, I think they just they just fly off into the sunset.
I feel like Frankie should have if he hasn't already installed.

It could be helpful. You definitely travel farther

hands off. OK, before they got got by Pero
Sparrow, I was kind of impressedthat both, but mostly Chopper
were given a moment to shine. Chopper was putting that work.

I like Chopper. Chopper is cute, but man is it

Barrow gets to both of them and he starts encasing both the

I legit had a moment of like, Ohmy God, they're gonna kill

It is very visceral. After that happened and he in
Parisboro and cases Brooke aftermy brain was like, oh, no,

Chopper's fine because he's going to try and case Brooke and
you know, he's but like Brooke doesn't have to worry about

He's gonna remember he's a fucking skeleton.
So that he's just going to do some swordsmanship, break out of
the candy, and then save Chopper.
And then you know how we get this pair of Sparrow?
I didn't get that far in my thinking.
I was just like, Brooke's gonna save Chopper.
Don't worry, brother. And that's not how that played
out, but it would have been really cool if it did.

No, it is not. In theory, it would stand to
reason that Brooke doesn't need to breathe because he he also
technically doesn't need to eat either.
He just kind of does it for fun and also can taste still for
some reason. So yeah, it stands to reason
that probably Brooks should be fine.

He's just encased in amber as ifhe were a family and and all
that. Or I guess more like there are
certain species of, I think frogs and other woodland
creatures that can freeze when they get frozen and literal ice
or they can they slow their processes down so much that they

they live through that. I think it's frogs.
There might also be bugs that can do it too.
But either way, there there are some animals or creatures out
there that do this stuff. And it feels like Brooke would
just be the same way. He's encased in candy, sure, but
he doesn't actually need to breathe.
So whenever he's freed, he's like, fine.
So it would stand to reason. But yeah, when Pero Sparrow is
describing how the candy can thecandification would happen into

that they were getting a little bit more spotlight.

for choppers spotlight in this case, just because we got to see
Soul King do its thing again. They're ultimately still just
fighting small fry and not really any of the big fishes.
But I like, I like seeing Brooke's Devil Fruit shine a
little bit more. Choppers just kind of bores me
at this point because he doesn'tjust do anything new anymore.
That's fair. Sad but.

what he's got. You know, it was cool initially
post time skip seeing him be able to control when to go form

that scary scene, Luffy Co and Big Mom come out the forest,

Pero Sparrow starts or attempts to, you know, stop them in their
tracks with candy. Iron Maiden, which was kind of
kind of sick. It was pretty sick.
And then Luffy punches his way through the problem with a fat
red hawk that just melts the candy.
That was actually really cool. There's also like they put they
put some budget into that one, put a little bit of budget,

sprinkle a little bit of it in there.
We make our way onto the ship. I, I blinked.
I guess I don't know how Pera Sparrow ended up in the water on
like a floating piece of candy. Like, how did he get pushed off
the ship? That's that's that's really my
question. He didn't.
He said fuck this shit. I'm out and then like, OK,
great, beautiful. Yeah, he he he wanted initially
he wanted no part of this. It was it was kind of strange.

I I don't remember the specific order of events anymore.
I think when he's still on the ship, he candy maidens and then
Luffy punches through it, I believe is how it goes.
And then they get distracted again because Big Mom's coming
up. And then he goes, well, I don't
want any, I don't want any part of this.
And specifically Big Mom's hunger pang.

And he, he dumps a, a, a, a boatload of candy into the water
and then stands out of them, floats away.
But then he decides he does wantto be part of this again.
And he he makes the candy wall underneath the Sunny and
prevents them from initially being able to coot a burst.
So Harris Barrow's motivations are a little shaky in these

episodes, but you know, whatever, I guess I, I question
this has probably been called into question a couple of times
over the course of this this show.
But if what he's standing in hissea water.
It feels like I, I mean, we've, we've run into this again, we've
run into this problem where we've, we've complained about
this, where. Oh, OK, the devil fruit use are

in the water. No goo they get they get wonky,
they get weak whatever they can't use their front their
power. But in this case where you have
the like a manifestation of the power come into contact with
seawater, it isn't affected for it's just seems to be the rule.
We ran into this most notably back in marine Ford, right with

Mr. 3 making a key for the the manacles that were made of C
prism stone. So that one I think was maybe
more egregious because it's it'sstill his finger, like it's
still attached to him, but we get to do this.
This one is out of perhaps more more excusable because it's no
longer connected to para Sparrow.

things and all the same values and kind of look the same.

means. And then in his flashback when
he took like during his little moment of telling Carrots to go
help out on the ship, he says toher, hey, I have a suspicion
that the Straw Hats are going tobe an integral part of this
prophecy that the Minx and the Kazuki clan believe in.

but she was like, all right, I'ma follower to get on the ship,

moment initially where they're standing in front of the ship
before we start doing all this Pedro flashbacking and red
flagging. They have a moment in front of
the ship where Pedro basically is just, he's outlining this
idea of the new dawn, and this is the thing that our people and
the Kozuki's have waited centuries in order to accomplish

or, or see through. And Kara just looks at him and
goes, what? What that made that made me
chuckle. I was I he goes he goes on this
mini rant about all of it and they put the the swelling really
my favorite backing track for these influential moments in the
background. And then Kara just looks at him

What are you talking about? And then they and then they cut
away or something. And yeah, then we get the rest
of the flashback stuff and we get the music again.
And the music tugs at me every time.

finger was like just the thing she could do.
I did not. I did not know initially that
those were. Like we've seen her put these on

normal hands. And then when it's about to
fight, her hands come up from her her waist and go, all right,

with Luffy dragging Katakuri in some mirror worlds because

this brought up the question in my mind of so for kind of Curry,
are his like precognition ability similar to like that so
Raven kind of thing where it just happens whenever it
happens? Or does he have to like activate

my head, I'm just here like if he's able to control it at will,

I would imagine it takes a wholelot of energy of some sort to
keep, to keep that constantly active.
So therefore you should run out of it eventually.

dodging a bullet or Luffy popping out of the cake.

something for him. So it's too early to tell.

So he's a that's really kind of stuck here.
And that scene is so fucking cold, dude.
He just, he just reaches up, shatters the fucking mirror.

ourself, Luffy said he's going to be back.
So OK, once he fights with Katakuri, hopefully defeats him,
we're just going to jump throughthis mirror.
And then Luffy literally and figuratively shatters that dream

of ours by crushing the mirror and we just go.
He said neither one of us allowed to go back to the ship
prematurely. He said.

me. So I have a lot of questions on
how he plans on getting out of here, but I guess we'll get
