Yo-yo, somebody hit me with thatSheamus and.
Sheamus and. Welcome, welcome, folks.
We're finally here. We did it honestly, honestly.
Round of applause. Round of applause to the team.
You know I when I started this podcast.

(00:23):
You. Started.
When I started this podcast, when, you know, back in the way
way days, I, I really, I never thought we were going to get
here. I'm going to be so fucking for
real. I thought it was dead in the
water on arrival. Yikes.
No, no shot that I think we weregoing to get this far.

(00:46):
And then you got your first fan,Me.
And then I weaseled my way onto the podcast, and then it was
downhill from here. Yeah, fan turned fan turned
member. Actually, you know, this is a
great segue, Justin, thank you for chiming in, because I

(01:07):
actually, I have some shit to flame your ass with right about
now. So listeners, you know, I, I
made, I happen to make like a comment like on the side about
being like, oh, hey, the new chapter came out this week and
but I have to stop and do this shit tonight.
I can't read it. And then Justin's like, dude,
that's how I feel like every week or whatever the fuck he
said. And and I'm like, that's really

(01:28):
funny. That's really funny.
OK, listeners, I'm going to takeyou back to the olden times of
three days ago when? Oh, actually, I'm sorry, not
three days ago. OK, A couple of weeks ago.
I'll give him a couple of weeks. It's been a couple of weeks for
him to to come back to this point.
He was like, hey, bread boy. Does the animation style and

(01:51):
Stampede seem similar to early Wano to you?
And I'm like, yeah, yeah. It was definitely the test run.
Justin's response. Oh, my God.
Perfect and then his next message.
I think my passion for the podcast is back, baby.
Very next, the absolute next message.
That is what I. Have from this man time stamp.
By the way, was actually somewhere within the past three

(02:12):
days. His yeah, his passion message.
Oh, I take this all back. I I give you additional
receipts. He said this message about
having passion again on Monday of this week.
So we record on a Thursday folks.
So it took Justin exactly exactly 96 hours for him to go

(02:34):
from my passion is back baby to man.
I hate being here every week. First of all.
No, that wasn't even. I'm not done with you yet.
That wasn't even the part I was going to flame him on the most
this week because I I had this receipt this week and I knew
what episodes we were covering. I had a, I've seen this shit.
I've seen this shit. Obviously, you know, in my mind,

(02:55):
I already drew up the reason whyhis passion for the podcast was
back. You know, for the same reason
that this motherfucker skipped awhole cake island.
You know what we did get in thisset of episodes is we got an
update on one Zorro in very large capacity with his Ronin.

(03:17):
He's being blamed murder thing, which to be fair, had a bit of
sweet animation. I'm not going to say like it was
bad or nothing like that, but it's really funny to me that as
soon as we get Zorro back into the picture, Justin's got
nothing but good vibes. It's just a little telling.
I don't deny that accusation, however I don't deny is your

(03:38):
quote of me. All right, The one from today
slash, you know, however many minutes ago before we press
record. All right, what I actually said
was oh, yeah, me too. That's how I feel about the fact
that there's a wrestling show I really want to see tonight, AKA
right now, and I'm stuck here doing this.
Which may not sound great to theaudience at home, but let me
explain to you. At the week of recording, we are

(03:59):
a couple days removed from AW, All In and Brothers.
I love wrestling and I love AW, and this weekend is going to be
possibly the best weekend of my fucking life. 29 years on this
planet and it's all been worth it to watch one wrestling event.
And I'm OK with that. I'm I'm here for the wrestling
all week, every week, but mostlythis week.

(04:19):
Give me, give it, give it all. I want it.
I need it. And.
Some of my things. All right, well, you know,
that's that's fair. I mean, you know, OK, fine.
I maybe maybe I was a bit dramatic when when I was giving
you shit a second ago, it just felt like it just felt like we
were already returning to to brass tacks and it hadn't even
been 96 hours before you were like, man, I love this podcast

(04:42):
again to I could be doing other things right now.
Now I got a year before I hit you with that.
But he's confirmed he's going tohit you.
With the exact same bullshit. He's got he's going to ride the
Zorro High for a little while. Well, it's.
Going to be a year until the next AW event is what it's going

(05:03):
to be exactly. Yeah, yeah.
Gotcha guys. Speaking of attendance and I
guess the fighting spirit, Christian, how you feel about
being here this week? Hey, I'm happy to be back.
I'm. Christian, I didn't even know
you were here. I'm wow, okay the brood the I'm

(05:24):
messing. Around man, man, everyone's so
sensitive these days. I'm.
Just kidding, but talking about sensitive.
I say one thing and he go. He explodes on me.
Well, I'm just a spaz that's different.
I I'm happy to be, I'm happy to be here.
I'm I'm upset that I didn't get to be here last week, but.

(05:45):
Us too, trust me. So are we.
I yeah, I know. I mean, I recognized I
recognized what was probably going to happen by by missing
last week, but you know, things happened and honestly, I had AI
had a way better time being where I was than I would have on
this podcast. So.

(06:07):
I say I fucking hate it here, man.
We're finally we got to something fun, something
different for the first time in a little for a little while and
and everyone's just got, you know, I could be anywhere but
here and. Be happier.
Look, everyone was on the fuck this shit trade.
So so I I figured I'd make my own contribution to the stop.
So Jesus, man, yeah, I just lastweek's episodes were were good.

(06:32):
I we can, we can talk about it more, I guess after we read a
summary, but I'm I'm happy to behere.
We are supposed to do that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I. Got you Want me to hit this?
Hit you with the summary. I hear you about what it means.
Oh right. Damn, hold on.
I need a swing of water. Got got loosened up.
Yeah, Lube it up, OK. Hey, so I know we said last week
that we finally made it so Wano, but that was mostly a

(06:54):
technicality. This week however, we really did
make it. Suwano, the Sanji Retrieval
squad gets swept up in some bad weather and currents only to be
met with the torrential waterfall.
Thanks to some last minute thinking, Luffy catches on to
some giant carps who carry the crew up the waterfall.
Unfortunately, they end up sailing directly into a
Whirlpool and have to abandon ship.
We use track of the majority of the crew after this, but luckily

(07:16):
Luffy and the Sunny wash up. On the shore of Curry.
Luffy has met with the chaotic scene of a giant sword wielding
baboon battling a giant lion dog.
Chairly behind them are a coupleof goons that work for Basil
Hawkins and the prisoner Otama. Luffy saves the little girl and
the two become friends. Elsewhere, we get a brief update
on what the other half of our crew have been up to since they
landed in Wano. Kimono shirks them to lay low

(07:37):
until they can fully gather up their allies to take down Kaido.
Everyone picks up a neat little gig and alias except Sora, who
just seems to have gone undercover as a vagrant.
Naturally, he ends up finding himself in a bind when he's
falsely arrested and sentenced to execution by Sapuku.
Right when it appears that 0 is about to follow through with the
execution, he stops. That's down.
The real culprit? Local corrupt official and the

(07:59):
proceeds to slash his way out ofthe courtyard.
Aside from that, we also touch in with Marco and Cat Viper.
While Waldo may bring in some familiar themes and faces, it
introduces a new opening, a new vibrant art style, character
design, as well as a slew of exciting new secrets and lore
pieces to discover. Better get comfy, it's about to
get crazy. It it it do be about to get
crazy. Why you gotta spoil him like

(08:19):
that? Justin, What the fuck?
What do you mean? OK, I've just beat it.
That's crazy. Crazy.
You can't. You can't just tell us what's
gonna happen. What the hell, man?
Just drop crazy on me. That's what I'm saying dude.
So Christian. So, so Christian, you're dying
to hear. Thoughts and lighten us the last
week we'll get into this week. Come on, how you doing buddy?

(08:40):
I I wanted to jump through a screen and and RIP Charles's
face off last week. Oh yeah.
Yeah, I bet your favorite motherfucker of all time made a
made a resurgence last week. Now, just to clarify very

(09:01):
honestly at home, for which reason?
For the Shirahoshi reason or forthe Kuma reason?
I all of it. I mean, I, I initially it was
the IT was the Shirahoshi reasonand then it was I want to jump
through the screen and RIP dad'sface off for the Kuma reason.

(09:21):
I was fully on board with Sabo going fucking buck wild in that
moment. Yeah, my.
Boy. I could not bear to see Kuma in
such a sad state. It was extremely upsetting and
and I am part of my upsetness isthat we probably won't get an

(09:45):
update on this for like 100 episodes or so.
What makes you say that, Christian?
Because we just that we only come back to the reverie once
we're done with arcs. So I'm I'm fully expecting to
never set eyes on Kuma for maybethe next year and a half of real
time. No, no.
OK, OK, OK. You say that way.

(10:07):
You think that, but let me let me rewind a couple weeks back to
your own. I don't know if I want to call a
prediction exactly, but your ownwants and dreams where you were
mentioning how for Juano, you'rereally hoping that we bounce
around from certain scene slash plots or plot points, whatever
you want to call it. So like, you know, instead of,
you know, jumping back to the reverie potentially every 100

(10:30):
episodes, it could be sooner. It could be like every 502570,
you know? Yeah.
Where's your? What if what if wanos like 300
episodes and we just jump back to the reverie every hundred
like saying and we can just haveboth sides of that coin that.
That would be That would be miserable.

(10:51):
What if one O slaps I? Mean well, I mean, if one O if
one O slaps, then then 300 episodes is that's that's pretty
good. But it would have to be, it
would have to be the most impeccable storytelling that
that mankind has ever dreamed upever for it to be good for 300
episodes. Oh buddy, I had to break it to

(11:13):
you, but my boy ODA is whipping up one of the best selling piece
of fiction on the planet. I mean, I'm I'm just saying like
he's he's got to be his. His manga is almost overtaking I
think Batman soon. It overtook Superman relatively
recently that. Doesn't mean it's good all the
way through. Well, it has not been good all
the way through. I'm just gonna let.

(11:33):
Me, let me give you my arbitrarymetrics of success.
Obviously dollar amount high equal good Christian.
I mean it wouldn't make money ifbad.
Well, you know you say that, butmake money is also relative,
like how much investment you putinto it.
You're well aware of how the howthe the Winnie the Pooh horror

(11:56):
movies are going well. They did amazing.
Why? Why you bring this up?
OK? Why do you gotta make me mad?
You were talking about it beforethe podcast.
What are you talking about? Well, that's a different story
entirely. I'm gonna see yo, I need someone
on on this episode and this episode alone to give me a,
well, brand encounter because we're already up to like 4 and

(12:18):
we're 10 minutes in. Three, there's like 3, yeah. 3/3
in the last minute. Well, you know, Speaking of gay
mad Christian, I have a questionfor you concerning last week so.
Yeah, I'm more than happy to getmad for you.
What do you want? Christian's got his fists up.

(12:42):
He he, he's ready for real. He's got the.
Dukes up he's. Got the Arthur fish shaking in
his pocket. Would you agree with me because
I'm the only person who thought of this and and had this
position last week or however many weeks ago?
Would you agree that in the scene of Charlos, you know,

(13:05):
chaining up Shira Hoshi and sighand I always forget this little
dude's name, Leo. Leo approaching Charles to free
her and what not. Do you agree when Lucci
intervenes to stop them and thusprevents an international
incident from unfolding and ruining the reverie, and you

(13:25):
know, world order and all that, Would you say that he's that
Lucci is a hero in this instance?
Would I say that Lucci is a hero?
Yes. No.
Yeah, I know he's he's a fuckingidiot.
What a hell to. Die on last week.
I can't believe he brought it back.
Say this. I would not say this now.

(13:47):
Now I see what he's saying. I I disagree with him.
I see what he's saying because the the Celestial Dragons, if
this had gone through would havejust been all right, Buster call
both of those countries right now.
And then I would just be the I would just be the end of it and
all of those innocents would die.
So like in that sense, like werewere lives spared?
Potentially, yeah, but but also like, care more about Shira

(14:11):
Hoshi, so. It sounds like he's a hero to
me. I but kind of kind of wild
coming from you do it. Doing that thing again where you
just hear what you choose to hear, actually what people are
saying. I I thought I is wano is wano
justins villain arc. That's one of my favorite arcs.
I don't mean those are the same thing.
Well, a whole cake was was the start was my my villain arc.

(14:35):
So I it sounds like it sounds like we're already getting off
to a start where your villain arc is now Wano, which is crazy
because Cazorro's here that. Sounds good.
Honestly, we should have somebody always be on at least
one villain arc at any given time.
Yeah, I don't know what my villain arc would have been.
Probably nothing. I'm.
Just I'm just a villain. You can have next one.
Sure, sure. I'll do that.
That sounds. Good.

(14:55):
Find some stuff to get mad about.
You already know what happens. You know, I just.
Remember finding anything to getmad about next arc, that's my
problem. You know, Christian, I won't
tell you when it will happen or where exactly story wise, but I
I think I will have a a villain arc or, or a villain moment.
A villain of your future. A moment.
OK, I will call it. An arc because I don't think

(15:16):
it's going to be that Long live. It'll call it come back.
It'll be like a, it'll be like aspin off episode, you know?
Like a like a Marvel What If episode.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. What if Justin was the villain
for XYZ reason this week One Piece?
It'll go anyway. Christian, what else did you
feel about last week? Oh, I yeah, well, since we're on
the topic of of of Lucci, I I enjoyed I enjoyed seeing ha

(15:40):
three and also knowing that Kakumade it to CP02, my sturdy boy.
I'm that. Sturdy land.
That sturdy motherfucker. I'm super here for it.
I I'll take all of the kaku on my screen, please and thank you.
It's it's upsetting that he's atthe reverie so I again won't see

(16:02):
him for like another hundred episode or so, but.
It's also upsetting that he's become a like he's doubled down
on the villainy by joining CP0. And otherwise.
Well I mean like CP9 were like bad guys but like I don't know.
I feel like, I don't know, maybeI just like Kaku enough to to
ignore that part about his life.I mean Kongo even says like he
literally doesn't know what he could do in any other line of

(16:25):
work and then Zorro jokingly goes you could always open up a
zoo. Or, you know, just become an
actual shipwright like you've been quote UN quote pretending
to do. Or X amount of time anyway.
Listen, people chat with him. You know, yeah.
I can fix. Him I can fix.
I can fix him, OK? Yeah, here we go.

(16:45):
Yeah, he's going to start. With Kaku.
And then he's going to go. But like CP0, Aegis, whatever is
like doubling down on the bat because you're like, you're the
feds, but you're the feds who work for the bourgeoisie, bro.
Like, come on, come on, bro, you're gonna be a cop.
Be a better cop than this. Dad, they're.
Honestly, I bet they love it. Now they Lucci fucking loves it,

(17:07):
I'll have to tell you. Well, Lucci Lucci's got his own
problems. Or she's a psychopath, but I
mean. Kaku has redeemed, has
redeemable qualities, as I'm saying.
Yeah, but he's throwing them to the wayside to get that bag.
So you know what? What are you gonna?
Do but like, I wanna. I believe.
I wanna believe in Kaku. I wanna believe in his
potential. Potential for good?
Fucking so so then so then wild turn of events with the the

(17:32):
green haired celestial dragon. What was his name?
Oh, Miyoskar. Miyoskar.
Guard. You're you're OK.
Miyos Garden. Fast, Yeah, so.
Beneficiary of Queen Otzohimi's will.
Yeah, so a couple of a couple ofdifferent twists with this one.
One, him being a Don Quixote. And so we've got another Don
Quixote kind of messing with thethe Celestial Dragon formula

(17:57):
here and and and kind of turningface on being one in the first
place. That is because we had homing,
obviously Doflamingo's father bring their family down into the
real world. And now we've got ghost guard.
So, you know, maybe I'm not, I'mnot saying that there's going to
be like a huge trend here with this, but it would be

(18:19):
interesting if that this if thissort of continued with the the
Don Quixote family. And then Doflamingo is is the
real odd one out here in this case.
He's the one that wants to be a celestial dragon again.
Yeah, yeah. So yeah, that was great.
I the whole, I mean, the whole time you're just, you're sitting
there nail biting, wondering what the what the fuck are

(18:40):
people going to do here when Shiro she's getting locked up by
the other slave. So because nobody, obviously
people are going to be willing to do stuff eventually, but
like, then what are the repercussions going to be of
this? Eventually you have to expect
that Neptune is going to jump into and then he does.
But yeah, it's like the whole, the whole time I'm just, I'm

(19:02):
sitting there in like silence waiting for the thing to happen
that's going to get us out of the situation, just not having
any idea what it's going to be. And then motherfucker gets
punched or hit with a bat, whatever it was with.
A bat. And I think it's, I think it's
batted across the face by Mios guard.

(19:24):
And I'm like, oh, shit. And and then for it to be the
guy that O Tehime saved all those years ago was extremely
poetic and I enjoyed I enjoyed that also.
That was that was a nice little touch to the story and and a
lesson for dear old Neptune thata not to jump the gun.

(19:48):
There are bad humans just like there are good humans.
And the same way that we just dealt with that in the on
Fishman Island a few 100 episodes ago.
So it was a nice little, little teaching moment or reminder for
Neptune himself as well. And I, I enjoyed, I enjoyed the
whole thing out outside of the fact that it happened in the 1st

(20:09):
place. Because obviously I don't want
to see your Hoshi shop. Fishman Island if like you know
when Oktohime came back with like the the the permission from
the Celestial Dragons to even consider moving.
Fishman Island, if you thought like if like the celestial
dragon was super chill or if, you know, he was just like, all
right, I really want you to go the fuck away.
Here's your fucking piece of paper.

(20:30):
And I and I think you actually doubled down and said that he
became chill as fuck. I want to say you actually bet
that. I don't remember, so I can't
claim it one way or the other, but I so so for now, I will.
I'll I'll say what you're sayingis true and claim all of the
glory for myself. Yes, I did say this.

(20:50):
Yeah, yeah, of course. Sounds.
Like me. Oh and also learning that Kuma
was the king of a nation at somepoint before all of this as
well. That was interesting to know.
Brother, he's literally called the Tyrant.
That doesn't mean anything. Yeah, that is me.
Anything. How do you become a tyrant?
By just just brutal person, yeah, just be like a menacing

(21:12):
figure. I understand what your point is,
that the the literal definition of a tyrant probably includes
ruling over people in some regard, but.
Overthrowing a previous king, becoming your becoming the new
king. Yes, that is what that is, what
a tyrant is. Yeah, but.
We. Stretch.
We stretch definitions of words. It doesn't necessarily.

(21:32):
You're fine. That's fine, That's fine.
Fair enough. Fair enough.
Continue. It's like he could have been a
tyrant over his his own pirate crew beforehand or something
like that. I don't know man.
Got black like Sanji, he just wears slacks all the time.
So you got me there. Right, so, so, so learning that
Kuma was at some point the king of a nation was, and not not

(21:56):
just a nation, but one that usedto sit at the table too, right.
Like would would come to the reverie.
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, they would come to the
reverie. So that was that was even more
so AI guess eye opener to Kuma'scharacter and both an eye opener
and a closer because it just it's like, oh wow, like he this

(22:17):
is how he gets gets involved in all of these other things, But
also like damn, what's going on inside?
What was going on inside Kuma's head all this time?
Like between between that time when he was a a tyrant who
overthrew a government or was just in charge of 1 and it to
joining the revolutionary army, probably because of whatever the

(22:39):
fuck happened at some reverie heattended.
And then he saw the the world for what it is and then
renounced his kingship and whatever and then ending up in
the in the clutches of the worldgovernment and, and now ending
up like this, like what happened?
There's so much we do not know about orthogonal.

(23:01):
Hard hitting questions. I feel like.
They are good questions. I'm so, I'm so intrigued by, by
Kuma and as the series progresses, they just keep
adding more and more to what this character has done or what
their moral quandaries have beenthis entire time.

(23:23):
And it's just so it's just it, it makes me, it makes me excited
to hear more, especially if we're going to actively try and
save his ass from his current situation.
OK, speaking, Speaking of Kuma, Jason things, I can finally ask
you this burning question that Ihad from last week.

(23:43):
So in the same scene or ViciniusKuma in these up in those
episodes, we we were introduced to Queen Connie Dowager or
whatever her other name was, right.
Queen Connie, Right. Right.
Some old lady pink hair queen ofthe same Kingdom that Kuma was
from. And then is that true?
Yeah, yeah. That was the that was, that was

(24:05):
one of the bit like the the guard recognizers, like, oh,
that's queen Dowager Connie. Yeah.
No, I'm not questioning that part.
I'm questioning the part where she's that's where Kuma came
from. Yeah, he was the current or
former king of Sorbet Kingdom and she is the current queen of
Sorbet Kingdom. No, did they also mention that
when they mentioned that he was a king?
I thought they just said he was a former king.
No, I think they did mention theKingdom, it was Sorbet.

(24:27):
I missed that then. OK, continue.
So we have Queen Connie who thentransforms into Jewelry Bonnie.
And so I'm asking you here, is jewelry Bonnie like Queen
Connie, like for real, like she is the queen or is she
impersonating the queen? And does that matter?
Does that, you know, what is that?
What does that make you feel, think about, etcetera?
He's asking because this is his first reaction when he was in

(24:50):
this position. And to his credit, I don't think
he knows the answer to that question.
I think he's just giving you thegenuine questions that he.
Has I my assumption it's tough. I mean, I'm going to base I'm,
I'm going to say purely off of the fact that she, she is
impersonating an older woman. My guess is going to be that no,

(25:14):
Bonnie is not the queen of Sorbet Sorbet Kingdom, right?
Yeah. Sorbet.
I'm going to operate under the assumption that she's the
granddaughter or something of the Sorbet Kingdom Queen.
And it just so happens that whenshe because we also don't
strictly know how Bonnie's powerworks.

(25:35):
Like, she can clearly fuck with her age, but can she also mold
her facial features a little bitas she wants?
Because if she's related, then it's probably not that far of a
reach to be like, Oh yeah. Like I adjust my nose, move my
eyes closer together, get my, you know, Bush the eyebrows a
bit and suddenly I look like my grandmother, you know, But but
if if her power is strictly aging up and down, I don't I

(26:00):
don't know, I then maybe it's more likely that she directly
has been the queen all of this time.
And jewelry. Bonnie's actually like, I don't
know, 70 years old or something, but just keeps herself young.
I don't know. She's like Carreha, where she's
a youthful 150. Yes, yes.
But he was much more. Physically, yeah, but she can

(26:22):
physically represent that. I see, I see, I listen.
I was, I was stoked when that when that happened across my
screen, I was like, whoa, what'sthis?
They really just. Got to throw Bonnie on that and
be like oh hey by the way, here's this other plot element.
Yeah, and also, Bonnie's here and she knows Kuma too, and
she's really angry about this. So are we.
Be fucking too yeah that's that's how do you.
Feel about. It I mean, he's still they're

(26:44):
they're still chill. I feel what's actually she,
they, I forget what. Was it Well, actually I can tell
you they they do prefer she pronouns.
That is on that, that is, that is kind of knowledge.
If you would like to know, no. I I do remember somebody
mentioning it in the discord at some point, but then I forgot
what specifically the pronouns were.
OK. Also I don't know if we told you

(27:05):
but they were the former queen of 5.5 and and fell down before.
I think I told them that. Well, she wasn't the former
queen, she just helped to make it I assume among the first the
only. Well, not the first scape I
guess that was cheeky. Where's Morley?
The 1st and then Sheeky followedI remember.
These are great questions. I think.
I think Morley, I think Sheeky'sthe only one that they knew he

(27:26):
escaped. But then like, right, right,
right people. Like morally definitely escaped,
but they just assumed that they were demoned away.
Like back when we first heard when people got demoned away,
then they they were just. Secretly 5.5 Morley Yeah, we got
that prisoner here. They've been here for so long.
They're probably dead though. But but Sheeky, I think, I think

(27:47):
in Sheeky's case, like he made like a spectacle of it.
And they were like, God, fuck that guy.
I actually got out, Yeah. Whereas Morley, she can just
leave basically she she can. Just like walk out, yeah.
She can. Say please, she can just go.
Bro, that's it. We we cracked it.
Morley's going to go back to impo down and break out.

(28:09):
Our homie bought clay and the rest of the clay.
So I mean, I mean maybe not thatnot that far off.
Feels like about it. I think it's kind of messed up
that Yvonne Cough hasn't alreadyasked Morley to do that.
My boy Bon Clay is just suffering an impelled down.
Well, maybe not suffering. He's an impelled down for no
reason. I don't.
Know if Ankov wasn't really suffering an impelled down, she

(28:30):
was having a great time too. I feel like I feel like they
have no clue what's going on with Bon Clay.
They just they probably assume Bon Clay is dead.
Very true, the same knowledge asus.
I don't know, I feel like the revolutionary army got got, you
know, eyes and ears everywhere, right?
That's all I'm saying. I'm sure that at some point ODA
will like just sort of, you know, throw that in.

(28:50):
He'll be like, Oh yeah, we as a revolutionary army, we got like
Ted, we got word that there's still stuff happening back at
5.5 at Impelled Down. We got word and like, oh, OK,
that does sound like something Oda's just going to write into
the story at some. Point.
Yeah, yeah. If I if I were Ivankov, ODA or
Morley I would have broken the already.
That's all I'm saying. Right.
Yeah, of course we we don't. Classic, classic.

(29:13):
Any other notes, Christian? We're still we're still on last
week's, by the way. I just want to remind you.
Yeah, yeah, I mean, that's fine.Realistically, this week's set
of episodes we we arrive in Wano, but there's not like a ton
of extra extra bits and bobs that happen so.
Nice little tease. You don't.
Think so. I had a great time in these set
of. Episodes I had a great time Cat

(29:34):
Viper and Marco chilling in thatvillage.
Where was a vibe. Dude, I'm here for that, but the
last thing I'll say about last week is so much for nobody
getting to sit on that giant throne, huh?
I feel like the only like the obvious questions are just like
hard to to ask. So it's just like, I think we

(29:55):
got hold on it, maybe, I don't know.
I don't know you got any sick big brain predictions for what
emo is, who they are, whatever, no.
I in fact, I think I, I think I referred when they showed up
last week or the week before, whatever it was in front of the
straw hat, the giant straw hat or whatever I thought it was

(30:17):
maybe a CP0 agent. That's wrong.
That was incorrect. That's super wrong.
I don't know this person. This person is new.
I, I, we haven't met this personthat much.
I'm confident in. OK, here's the.
Question that I want to ask, So the silhouette we get for Emu, I

(30:38):
need to ask you, do you think that is like their true shape or
is that just a placeholder? And so ODA, like, figures out
what he wants to do with the character.
No, there's no fucking way at this point.
No, here I want to help. Can I can I, can I please chime
in? I I, I can help with this.
In fact guys, there is a plushieof Emu available for purchase

(30:59):
that answers that question. Can I please post a link for?
You OK? Hold on.
I don't think it answers the question.
I think so much is making money off of it.
Listen, listen, there is a plushie of Ebu that makes it
very clear what shape this character has to have.
So may I please one second? I'm so I'm so interested.

(31:22):
This is a real thing that. I post a deal to.
The world within the past two weeks.
All I'm saying is. I'm.
Going to say this stops short ofconfirming anything really.
I I mean it's on eBay. Listen, I know it says says, you
know, it's brought to you by Bandai Namco or whatever, but
like. This is incredible.

(31:46):
Oh, the it's kind of it's kind of a little plushy straw hat,
too. Yeah.
Yeah, it does. It does.
Christian, I just gotta let you know that the Photoshop jobs or
like they have Photoshop people are just like dressing up as
doll essentially and like basically this is the one piece
version of la Boo boos and and they're just Oh my God, stop I.

(32:07):
Don't want to fucking hear anymore about LA Boo boos dude.
I'm I've heard I've heard too much in the last week about
them. The Boo boo's.
Out emu's in, emu's in, emu is in.
Though I even I even said like there's like a picture that I
put in the discord somewhere. I hope I can find it quickly.
And my my tag line to it was, Oh, here, I'm just going to send

(32:31):
it right now. I found it all that let me copy
this copy image and put this over here paste this I already
put this discord once but my tagline to this let's say let me
just read it from. Oh my God.
Oh no, I have to scroll back. Oh no, it's right here.

(32:51):
Who's like, wait, where the fuckam I?
Where'd my scroll go, Go, back, go?
Bring me back. I love the tiny.
The tiny wanted poster too is incredible.
There is a tiny wanted poster I love.
The Thrones next to them. Oh, I wrote a me me out here
just wondering how my life got to this point now listeners for
for context, it is emu the the the silhouette plushie lying in

(33:12):
bed with its eyes wide open, holding on to a Luffy wanted
poster. I'm just like just.
You're into the ceiling. Blankly into the ceiling, girl.
This exists in this capacity makes me feel as though I'm not
going to get an answer to who isEMU actually for the next until

(33:33):
the end of the show. Like like like present day.
Don't even know what this is. I I can affirm that for you and
say that this plushie came out literally a month ago.
Yeah, I so emu, you know, nobodyknow who emu.
Emu Emu just be doing what Emu does.
I mean, I've got I've got an educated guess, but I I'm not

(33:55):
like I'm not out here going to claim at the end.
Oh well, I mean it's clearly gone from Hunter.
Hunter in his super form. Is that what gone looks like
when he goes to do a super? Form he.
Just gets all blanket. Shadow this is this is future
gone with his tall hair. It's just silhouetted.
Yet they don't want to reveal a crossover.
You know, Hunter Hunter and One Piece universe being the same

(34:17):
verse I kind of see. It I mean look all I'm saying is
Luffy has the properties of bungee and gum.
He does have the properties of bungee and gum, that is.
When do we say to? York, New City on the sunny.
Sometime. Sometime in the next couple 100

(34:37):
episodes surely. Actually, it doesn't.
Doesn't Does York New City even exist yet?
Isn't the same time frame. I don't know.
Maybe they're a different planet.
Andrew. Who's gonna find him?
Oh. My.
God, all right. But that's yeah, I that, that
that pretty much concludes my thoughts on what happened last
week. Cool, great.
I mean, you can also just like explain like when you say like

(34:59):
you have an educated guess, likewhat is said educated guess.
You don't, you don't have to. You sugarcoat it.
You don't know the answer. That was.
The said it's going from Hunter Hunter.
It's going from Hunter. Hunter.
Oh, I have no fucking idea. That was, that was.
That was a real educated guess. Yeah, you had.
It's something better than. No, I have no fucking idea.
Pretty good answer. OK, I've I've I've got no clue.
I'm and honestly I'm not. I don't even at this moment want

(35:22):
to speculate. I just want to enjoy the mystery
of this one. I like that.
Honestly. I respect that.
Sometimes you just like you go, you know?
That's a can of worms. I don't think I even want to
open right this second. I'm going to put that in the
treasure box. I enjoy, I enjoy making
predictions and and having and and and finding out what whether
they are correct or not. But on this one, I mean,

(35:44):
especially knowing that even 400episodes from now I won't have
an answer, but on this one it just feels like 30.
Sorry, sorry. 300 episodes. Two, actually, it just feels 100
it's. Like 250, that's the lowest I'm
going. It actually is 250 I think on
the dot, just so we're. Clear this one.
Just feels like both, both in the fact that I'm not going to

(36:07):
get an answer for a long time and also and as well as just the
nature of this person like what they're what the 30 seconds of
them we got in that set of episodes means I'm I'm more
happy to just sit back and and let the information come to me,
then try and speculate. He's letting ODA cook, folks.

(36:28):
He's letting him cook. I'm leaving ODA in the kitchen
on this one. He's like, I, I see you making
that, that that appetizer, but Isee you're saving some
ingredients for a main course later.
What are you doing over there, buddy?
Oh, you're not going to tell me?OK all.
Right, you know what, that's fine.
I'll go take my spot at the table and I'll just wait
patiently. That's fair, I respect it.
Oh. Yeah.
All right. Well, now that we've gotten that

(36:50):
preamble from last week out of the guys, we did it.
We're in Wano again. And we're still in the first
hour mark. We're doing great progress here.
We. Are still in the first can I can
I be honest? So Christian, I think it's not
no secret we have done it. We have made it to the ark we
were on at the time that this podcast, this very podcast has

(37:15):
started. In fact, I would even go so far
as to say I think this was the actual anime set of episodes
that were airing at the time that we started our podcast,
give or take. Wow.
I know it all comes full circle. That's what I'm saying, brother.
Crazy. Just a short 5 1/2 years later

(37:39):
and we've missed it to where we started.
Just a small 5 1/2 years later to finally get right back to the
fucking start line. Now one piece truly begins.
Now one piece truly begins. Bro just wait till we get to
episode 1000. I mean, that'll be a cool
milestone. On milestones.

(38:01):
But see, but that's the other thing too, is like, you really
got to be careful because at onepoint when you watch the series,
you start thinking of watching the series in terms of just the
milestones. And you're like, man, dude, I
made it 1000 episodes through One Piece, how cool is that?
And then you're like, wait a minute, aren't I supposed to
like the show too? Can't wait till I can celebrate
1100. Where the thankfully I like it

(38:23):
in Wano. Wano is a good arc.
I'm telling you it's going to begood.
I I I'm not going to say why it's good.
I'm going to say I think it's good.
I do think it's good so. You're saying everything is bad.
Your opinion is wrong. I do think that if anyone thinks
that Wano is objectively bad, you are actually just insane.
That that is crazy. I still think Whole Cake Island
is a better that's that's an argument for another.
Day. But that's not what we're

(38:44):
talking about. I think a lot of people actually
call me the wild one for that. Yeah, perfectly.
That sounds about that sounds about right.
Yeah, yeah, I think, I think I'mthe one with the the contrarian
opinion on that one. But. 91 episodes of no Zorro
couldn't be me bro. Can I?
Can I tell you too? You know one thing I love about
these set of episodes is the stupid fucking octopus bit.
Can I tell you how that? Big expansion just bunk.

(39:09):
Literally in the manga, I shit you not.
So the anime does this thing where it's slowly like shows
scenes of this like shadowy creature slowly, like, you know,
lurching its way onto the the deck of the of the sunny and
what not. And then eventually like it,
it's revealed that there's this just like fuck off octopus with
one of those Thai things around its forehead, just like hanging

(39:30):
out. OK, I I'm not even joking when I
was when when in the manga during this chapter, it's just
the crew like the straws talkingamongst themselves about the
weather being crazy. And then there's just like a
main panel and behind Brooke andNami is this fucking octopus and
he's just there. He's just.
He's just. Vibing.
No explanation. No no no, like preamble.

(39:53):
He just exists. It's whiplabs because you're
like where the fuck did you comefrom?
I don't know if they did it as well in the anime, but in the
manga let me tell you just. Shows up and no one acknowledges
him. Well, nobody acknowledged until
they do and they're like, what the hell?
And then he does what the anime tries to to demonstrate as he

(40:13):
does like the the sound effect where like he hit like the drum
and it goes oh or whatever. Like it does do that bit in in
the manga at least it tries to depict that.
But it is really funny how like it, it's literally just like
them talking. And then with 0 explanation,
here's a panel with an octopus behind everybody.
But why? You know what would be great is
if Jay if boda. Had kept.

(40:34):
The octopus like as as a silhouette maybe not giving it
full shape yet, but like just just a shadowy figure and the
community just going wait is that emu?
Oh my God. People, it's EMU.
It could have been. Oh man, yeah.
Oh, you know, also what what happened before Wano stuff
happens was we we did get an update on Marco and and Cat

(40:58):
Viper. So I, I don't know, does it even
sound like Marco's like getting in on this fight or what?
I want to know what his message to Luffy is going to be or his
whatever. Well, I mean, if he's asking Cat
Viper to send it though, it doesn't really sound like he's
planning on going right Like that was that was.
Really the crux of my expecting him to come.
That man said yo, I got I can't leave this village because it's
the one thing that Viper has left in this world and I refuse

(41:20):
to let it fumble. Right, I'm not talking about
what I expected. I'm saying the reason why Cat
Viper is here is because he wanted to recruit him.
That is the goal here, and it don't be sounding like he plans
to go. You know who sent a care
package? He'll.
Send a care package. He'll send a box of flame and be
like hey don't use it all one place, it's magic healing flame.

(41:42):
Don't ask too many questions. I I agree.
I don't think I don't think MarkGirl's budgeting from here.
He's he's big, chill and protecting this last memento.
Did you? Did either of you recognize the
the creatures from the island, out of curiosity?
Bro, when I saw that I, I don't think I got the name of it right
when I first laid eyes on it, but like I, I knew I saw it.

(42:03):
I was like, I don't remember what you're called because I
know it's a, some mythological creature.
I know I saw you in Impaled down.
That is, that is correct. They are an impaled down.
They're called the manticore. Yes, I, I, I I'm in the same
boat as Justin. I did not remember what their
names were, but I did recognize them.
Yeah, I think this is supposed to be the bit where where OTAs

(42:26):
like, hey, this is where they found all the manacore.
This is like the native island where they existed and then they
brought them to Impel Down and then for whatever reason they
learned how to say different, like brands of underwear or
whatever. Wasn't it pastas or something?
Was it pasta? Oh, you're right, it was pasta.
You're right, it was different kinds of pasta.
I don't know why that's relevant.

(42:48):
Pasta Core. Yeah, yeah.
Pasta core. Pasta core.
These ones couldn't, weren't able to say pastas, I don't
think. I think they just kind of like
grunted and growled. Tragic.
Obviously learned. How to train, Yeah.
Tragic. Obviously learning pasta names
is more of a learned trait that it is an.
Education, yeah. I just want to know who at Impel
Down taught them. I think they picked up on it.

(43:11):
They explained it as they just hear the prisoners like begging
for what they want and apparently everyone wants
Noodle. They they crave the carbs.
They crave carbs, begging you for more, for more carbs.
Give me Ram and give me give me tortellini.
Christian have a question, wheredo you lie on?

(43:33):
Usually on my back the. Opinion related to Do you think
Weevil is white beard Sonic? Curry don't.
Kotic Curry doesn't. I realized he he mentioned that
opinion. He, he didn't get it, Brendan,
he. Didn't get it.
What you'll you'll hear it in you'll hear when the episode

(43:54):
comes out. Probably right then I'll be sad.
I do. I think Weevil is truly a son.
No, I I feel like no. Yeah, I feel.
I feel like not I. Mean, I think they're painting.
Basically on Christian side like.
I think they're painting a hard you won't believe this butt
moment right now. If I'm going to be honest, I

(44:17):
think they're painting a huge because even even Marco's like,
I don't know anything about thatguy, but I think I know the
woman claiming to be his mom. And she was definitely a pirate
and I think White Beard knew her.
So like, I don't know his taste in women, but it's like not
impossible. I Yeah.
I mean, it's it's more possible now than it was when we were

(44:39):
first introduced to Weevil, withMarco saying that they were both
on the same ship. I'm just saying how.
Yeah, I, I mean, it is. It is now.
It is now significant. Well, I don't even know about
significantly, but it is now more plausible that it is the
case that Weevil is his son. However, I'm just gonna, I'm

(45:01):
just gonna say no. I'm just gonna keep saying no.
I'm just gonna choose to say no.He's afraid of the.
I would be, I would be lying if I said stubbornly, I just don't
want it. But like, like there's a part of
this. No, that's just like I don't
want on it to be the case, but II I also just feel like I I I
don't know, I guess what would Iguess what would the point be

(45:23):
like? How did how did this?
How did how did this come about in a way that white beard was
never made aware of it? I mean, I mean, would that man
just pulled? Well, actually, no.
Roger knew where his son and baby Mama was.
I I think if there's any dad in this universe that would have
kept track of his kid, it would have been White Beard.
So like this one? Assumes he knows you know.

(45:43):
That the woman would have had todo such an incredible job of
keeping this behemoth of a kid away from everything.
Yes, yes, I agree. Or just like never telling her
that or telling him that his daddy is, you know, white beard
and he was just like, he was like an accountant until his mom
was like, oh, you know that guy who just died?

(46:04):
He was your dad. That was we should become.
Pirates and find his treasure and he's like fuck all this
fucking CPA shit. I've been learning.
I'm going to go down to the sea, baby.
Yeah. What if, what, what if White
Beard was a sperm donor and that's how this happened.
Okay, you've lost me. You've completely lost.
Hello, got sperm donors in this world.

(46:25):
Remember that thread in in your name?
You. You severed it.
That's what happened just now. Put a dumb rapper.
That was a deep cut. That was too deep.
I mean, I got it. I'm sure there's plenty of other
people out there. I maybe Justin didn't.
I don't, I don't know. Listen, I was a good no, I

(46:45):
didn't get it, but it sounded like I could have gotten it.
It sounded like something I could have known, yeah.
Yeah, yeah. Well the good news is it is
anime, so I'm sure you might come across it one day.
It's an anime and it's a movie. Easy and easy out baby.
I also just would like to reiterate that it was, it felt
very, it was very cozy looking, Marco just chilling in this tiny

(47:05):
little village, taking care of all the people.
Cozy Core. He's what a what?
A what? A sweetie, What a sweetheart.
That Marco What? A nice guy.
What an absolute. Delightful human being.
I can't wait for Blackbeard to find him and just ruin
everything. No.
Ruin. Absolutely.
Everything but as you would findhim.
First Blackbeard to white beard. That's a real question.

(47:26):
Also, when I say white beard, I meant Weeble.
Oh, got it. I was gonna say yeah.
I was like. Wait, White Beard?
White Beard's dead. I think White Beard is like, you
know, behind him. But yeah, that's good.
Good. Whatever that stuff.
What was that woman's name there?
Was a woman Baskins or Baskins or something?
NRMI forgot. What?
What if she also came from this little village?

(47:47):
Very possible this is her hometown.
Yeah, because Marco was worried that they would find it first.
He was more worried that they would find it first before
Blackbeard did. So I don't know what Marco
knows. Clearly he has not known much
about her outside of her name, but maybe it was mentioned in

(48:08):
passing as like a childhood friend or something.
Maybe it's a maybe it's a devil,you know versus the W don't kind
of situation where he's like, listen, I know what Blackbird's
about. I don't know what this weirdos
about. Yeah.
And we also then then Cat Piper tells Marco the news of like,
yeah, we're we've got a target in Wano.
We're going after Kaido and Marco's like what?

(48:29):
Why? And we just hard to cut to
what's going on in Wano. Margo's like brother.
I don't. I don't know if that's the play.
Speaking of Wano, we let me justlet me just catch everybody up
here on what exactly the the rest of the crew is doing so so.
Yeah, speedrunners, baby. Yeah, yeah.
So with the Wano crew, the crew that's been there for however

(48:51):
many days or weeks it's been in in one piece time.
So Kitaman basically tells him like, hey, we're not ready to
like start up a war or whatever. We're still gathering our
forces, blah, blah, blah. Recruiting.
Yeah, we're still recruiting. Just lay low.
And so we figure this out and then we'll let you know, come
get you and can have a party andhave a banger.
So. So Frankie becomes, my
interpretation was he became like an apprentice for a

(49:12):
Carpenter or like some type of house builder.
Yeah, he was getting his blue collar thing going, you know,
and he has to pretend like he didn't know what he was doing.
What you think is really funny? Even better, like, like the the
the main master Craftsman was like, who the hell made this
joint here? And then Frankie's like the fuck
yeah, it was me, Whatever. And then the guy's like, you
don't understand and it's perfect.

(49:33):
And then Frankie was about to belike, well, of course it is.
I'm I'm the best fucking ship right on the planet.
And then he had to be like, oh, I'm sorry, I need to practice
being humble. Thank you, Sir.
I appreciate you. So Frankie's undercover as
Fernoske as The Apprentice for aCarpenter.
Or. Whatever I.

(49:54):
Do like Fernoske? Soccer undercover as Usohachi
as. A the the the smartest man on
the planet. He is playing him like a fiddle,
brothers. They said he's a toad oil
salesman. I assumed that just meant he was
a scam artist I couldn't try. It's the same thing as like a
snake oil sales, oil sales I was.
I was. That's what I was thinking
about. I was like, maybe this is a real

(50:15):
job in Japan, That's all. But he's just calling it Toad
Oil Salesman. Yeah.
I was like, listen, not cut by the sword, look legit.
And then the oil did the thing. I was like, maybe, Maybe.
My boy has him eating out of thepalm of his hand.
Truly though, they have they areon their the edge of their
seats. They have all got.

(50:36):
That that other sheriff guy, when he looked at The Wanted
poster and then the guys like, like, you might know that dude.
He's like, no, you don't understand.
I have 10 children. God damn it.
Oh what a fuck. What a guy.
From. Uskay, we have Usohachi.
We have Robin in disguise as Orobi and she's training to

(50:59):
become a geisha. Slut.
Literally a whore. Hold on, hold on, hold on.
I I wiki this all right, I Wikipedia Horse and a Geisha is
a traditional Japanese performerwho practices dance instruments
and singing, as well as proficiently conversationalist.
Using some very very very visceral language.

(51:19):
There is no justification of sexual.
Involvement, you can say like you can say like prostitute or
something like that. It's a little better than just
calling him a slut or a whore, dude.
So anyway, Robin became a whore on the literal definition, not.
Standing for this. This is not what a geisha is.
That is what a geisha is. No, it's not.
It absolutely is. I just, I hate to break it to, I

(51:41):
hate to be the one to break it to you, but that is
traditionally. What a geisha is.
If you have any beef with this podcast, please direct all of
your complaints to to our Boy brother.
You can't hate the guy who's theonly one talking, being honest
and tell him the truth, all right?
You can't hate him. I, I don't, I don't understand
you. That's.
I'm just telling you what's what's going on.
You have some like warped perception of of the reality.

(52:05):
No, I do not a. Geisha is just what honestly my
my like modern day analogy for what a geisha was back then is
like. Imagine you're at a club and you
got bottle service. The the, the, the woman in the
nice dress or whatever who who like caters to you at the club
in the VIP section. That's such what a geisha would

(52:26):
have been you. Know they're chatting?
Look. They do cool stuff.
Is. Is Brendan.
I know. Brendan entirely wrong.
No, the the, the, the, the closer, the closer.
I think analogy I would make is that they're more like like
almost almost an escort. You know where they have they

(52:46):
put on these performances. But in some instances they
they're, they have also been known to engage in sex with
clients or whatever. So there's like a little bit of
truth in what he's saying, but large I.
Will say I'm I know I'm I'm, I'mfucking with you guys.
The geishas. Geishas are are are their own
thing. They're they're not sexually

(53:06):
driven. They're courtesan is what I am
functionally calling her. And that that that is not what
they are. Yeah, I am, I am.
I am being that guy. I'm fucking around.
OK, Let's not get too caught up in the.
Week to be the Hostess with the mostest bro and.
That is true that she's. Giving her all.
I just wanted an excuse to call Robin the W word.
That's fucking crazy. I'm sure the.

(53:28):
Explanation makes you look. Admitting you're just admitting
that on main right now? Dude, what the fuck?
You couldn't stop. Just saying it wasn't, we're
messing around. You could have stopped with It's
just a prank, bro. You could have stopped right
there. It is just a prank, just saying.
My man's big and digging the biggest hole and I've built

(53:50):
bigger. Listen, man, I'll, I'll take,
I'll stay in this hole. I don't care.
I got nothing to lose anymore. That's what it will be.
If I die tomorrow, it'll be a good life.
I've lived wonderful life, that's what I'm.
Saying, dude, see, you get it. No, no, no.
You don't get to compare yourself to to here.

(54:10):
You don't get to associate yourself with that gem of a man.
It would never have called Robinthe W word.
He said he saw the Kingdom of cherry blossoms.
I bet he even came to wanna OnceUpon a time.
He saw the geishas first hand. He saw the geishas first fucking
hand. And he was like, damn, they're
whores all right? Cover as a Zorro Jiro.

(54:32):
He's a Ronin and and I'm going to say he's.
Just that's just. Fancy.
That's just fancy language for he's a bum.
Yeah, he's just a fucking. He's just.
Walking around, drinking, and that's it.
There's no hint of Zorro doing anything that could be
interpreted as a job. No, no, there was no, there was
no undercover to this. Calling himself a Ronin was the

(54:55):
loosest way to let him roam around in public with his
swords, I guess. And day drink.
That's about, that's about the extent of what it was.
I I can't. Zorro was just Zorro.
They just gave him a fancy titlefor what being Zorro is.
Yeah, and also he got like a hair extension or something too
to be able to put the that. He's got a little top nut.
Yeah, he's got a. Top nut for some reason, which

(55:19):
clearly is not his hair, he justfound like a green bit of glass.
Man, what? You mean it's a clip on?
Bro, that's all natural. Add it all natural you shut
your. You shut your geisha.
So yeah, Zorro unfortunately, being a vagrant, he's just

(55:41):
chilling at night, walking home, doing nothing, minding his
business when he witnesses a crime, doesn't seemingly do
anything about it. He's just like, that guy got cut
down anyway, he bumps into the the perp.
And then I they had like a smallexchange of words.
The police show up and Zorro goes, hey, yeah, that, that

(56:01):
victim you're look that you guysare worried about the, the the
perpetrator went that way. And they're like, they're like,
put your hands up, we're arresting you for murder or
whatever. And he's like, OK, but but the
but the guy who did it is going that way.
He's like, no, we're arresting you.
And he's like, all right, well, he was.
He was ready to take him out right then and there.
And then he had the flashback towhat Keenamon said about laying
low. And he's like, all right, I
guess I'm going with you. He gets sentenced to seppuku.

(56:25):
And personally, he had me on theropes.
I thought he was looking at the blade which he.
Did you on the ropes? Really.
Our main character. He looked like he was down to
commit, and I think he would have done it if the actual
perpetrator had not shown up to his execution.
I think Zorro would have like maybe, maybe not like commit to
dying, but I think he would havecommitted to, to like making a

(56:45):
how you do that? I don't exactly know, but I, I,
I believe he would have done it.I.
I didn't, I didn't think he was gonna ever cut his own stomach
open. What I thought he was gonna do
was engage in a little bit of aura farming and just like like
armament hockey, his stomach or something and be like, oh,
that's. What I thought was gonna happen.
I did also think that. But I thought he.

(57:06):
Was gonna like stab himself and be like aw weird I can't seem to
breakthrough my stomach with this puny knife.
Yeah. But then the perp showed up.
He sniffed the blood on him. He says you did it, you bastard.
You say showed up like he wasn'tthe one that sentenced him to
death. Potato takes that guy out and

(57:27):
then the entire courtyard is like, all right, well, now, now
we gotta kill you ourselves. And he's like, all right, well,
I'm a I'm a beat your ass with this little tiny blade for for
this seppuku. I think he breaks that, grabs
one of the goons, is like garbage swords, slashes a couple
people with those, Those break, and then he goes, all right,
I've had enough of this, I'm gonna pick up my actual swords.

(57:47):
And then he just goes hammy salami.
And there's just all types of destruction in this small little
courtyard. And I'm just here like, does no
one see this? No Zorro?
I always go on Mihawk mode with that seppuku.
Nice, he. Was.
Did I mention I'm so happy to have Zorro back on my screen?
Yeah. Yeah, maybe like once.
Bro Zorro was topless too. In front of a brother.

(58:08):
They really, they really thickened him up along with the
new art style. Biggest chest in the game?
Still not true, but they tried to make.
It true they tried. To make it true anime.
It's Canon. It's in the.
Wasn't it an SPS though to set it?
I think it was an SPS though to set it.
It's nonsense. It's absolutely nonsense.
You don't call you. Know we were we were going

(58:30):
through characters weights not too long ago Canon weights and
Zorro is outside of outside of the women and Chopper I believe
he is the lightest member of thecrew and maybe Luffy.
He's the lightest. Yeah, he he weighs, he weighs
less that not not like he weighsless than Sanji and Frankie and

(58:53):
obviously Jim Bay and this. This doesn't make any sense to
me. I.
Think Brooke has? So much muscle.
I think Brooke is also lighter, so he's like the middle of the
road in terms of weight for for the whole crew.
But but like what? What?
What is it like? What is he, 50 like 150?
OK, fine, whatever nonsense. So.
I mean just the average way for like a bodybuilder, there's a

(59:15):
lot. Of that's not the average weight
of a bodybuilder my. Friend not average weight of a
bodybuilder. Average weight of a bodybuilder
is like north of 250. Oh no, I triggered the Jim Bros.
I'm just saying. I'm just saying, dude.
If you want to talk about stuff that's Canon or not Canon, like
there's a lot of ridiculous stuff out there, brother.
Oh it is fucking wild. My boys, Rose is real top heavy,

(59:37):
you know. His legs are just like strings.
Listen, Jim, BAE can hold up hismassive frame with those twigs
Zorro can't do. Well, that's, that's true too.
Yeah, that is true too. Yeah.
Like that's crazy. So there's also fucking Hawkins
showed up in these set of episodes for a split second.
Sure, dude. Supernova how you feeling?

(01:00:00):
About this, my guy right there. I'm looking, I'm looking forward
to seeing what sort of input we've going to get.
We're going to get from Basil Hawkins what his involvement
here on on Wano was going to be.You think he's just got his own
like ragtag group of goons? Or does is he working for the
enemy team? And does he work for the good,
for the good guys? Maybe.
Maybe it's a miscommunication and they didn't realize that

(01:00:22):
they were trying to like, meet up and hang out with each other.
Basil Hawkins friend ARC question mark.
I mean, I'm I'm OK with Basil Hawkins friend arc, but I don't
know that it's gonna end up thatway.
He might he might have ended up working for Kaido.
Like what's his face did? What's piano teeth Which?
What's his face? Oh yeah, yeah, that's that's
fair. Jesus, I almost call him Bandido

(01:00:44):
for some reason. He does have a name.
It's APU. Yeah, there you go.
That's the guy. That guy, yeah.
But with, with, with APU alreadybasically being confirmed
working for Kaido, I don't, I don't know that Hawkins
necessarily does. Also, I mean, it seems it stands
to a reason that this, this landis basically governed by Kaido

(01:01:05):
along with the Shogun. But I don't, I don't know, maybe
maybe Hawkins has run some kind of some kind of underground
thing. I who knows.
Now that that being said, there's also the fact that we
were chasing this small, innocent little girl.
So who has Devil fruit, by the way?
She does have devil fruit, by the way.
Her name is Tama. She's adorable.

(01:01:26):
Yeah. OK.
First, First things first, she doesn't have a double fruit.
That's just that. Her face is just like that.
Right second. Her face just does that.
Sure. I love O Tama and if anything
happened to that little girl I would end everything and
everyone and then myself. Oh, I also want to clarify this
just so that we, we know what we're doing when, when women
especially have an O in front oftheir name, that's like an old

(01:01:47):
fashioned Japanese honorific, similar to like how you use sawn
or koon, but O in front of it means like like miss
essentially. So that's why it's O Roby or O
Tama. So the O is like a Son
equivalent, just so you know so.Like the O is actually part of
their name. It's not like a title.
Like it's their. Actual name.

(01:02:07):
I'm gonna spell it out for you so you can't forget it.
I'm gonna fix Tamas name. There you go.
That's how you actually say. Her name just Tama bro I'm.
Correct, her name is Tama. You blame my subtitle writers.
I mean I would also blame your subtitle writers.
They kind of fucked you on that 10.
Man, meanwhile, I thought, I thought, I thought, man, this

(01:02:28):
just made this made me upset about something that isn't that
big of a deal, but it's a big deal to me now.
Oh. OK, fair enough.
Luffy when Luffy just calls her Tama.
I assumed that was just Luffy. ISM of I'm a shorten your name
to something like close but didn't.
Call like a nickname? No, no, it's just like her real
name without the formality. I'm Matt.
I'm Matt right this? Instead of calling her Miss

(01:02:51):
Tama, he's just like Yo Tama my fam.
I I've been lied to. You, it's still me, it's the
same thing. It's still, it's dropping the
formalities and like, you know, being.
The same personal, not the same the spirit.
Whatever it's. You're you're just.
Better literally like just fucking.
Change. Just fucking change your
rhetoric. It's easy, you just better no.
Is it permanently ingrained in you already that it's O Tama?

(01:03:13):
Literal years, man, Literal years.
I can't believe you've never crossed this information in the
time that you've spent knowing this character, no.
It told me. That's crazy.
I'm so bad so. Well, I'm sorry to be the one to
break it to you, Justin, but that is that is how you think of
her name. Yes.
Goes for any other time you meeta woman with an O in front of

(01:03:35):
her name. But would you believe if I told
you what they're just calling them Miss Name?
He's like running through all the names with O and Fred.
He's like, wow, there's a lot ofthem.
Yeah. He's like, now that you mention
it, most of the women in this arc start with an O.
Does that Galifianakis meme running through his brain right
now? Well, unfortunately, we're kind

(01:03:56):
of out of other things to talk about, so we can.
If you're if you're not talking about that.
We're pretty much just move on, I guess.
Well, you don't. Want to talk about the The
Secure O boss that Greystar screens in the set of episodes?
The monkey. Yeah, the Guardian.
Ape brother, the guardian ape showed up OK.
OK, I'm going to say this. They call that thing a baboon
and I'm going to tell them they're wrong.

(01:04:16):
All right, that that monkey looks 100% like a Japanese snow
monkey. White fur and everything.
Are they flavors of baboons at adifferent species?
Maybe, I don't know. I don't know, man, but when I
laid eyes upon that thing, before the subtitle announces
its name, I was like a Japanese snow monkey.
That's cool. And you got a sword and they're

(01:04:37):
like baboon. I'm like, that's not.
A bad They're macaques. Do you agree that they look more
like what you're describing? But like, yeah, maybe it's like
still a baboon subspecies. It could be.
All right, so apparently there are white baboons today I
learned. So you're saying I should look
up a white baboon? Yeah, so Japanese snow monkey.
They look very similar. Wow, actually, I'm I'm on I'm on

(01:05:01):
team anime side. That is a that is definitely
what I saw in my set of episodes.
This white baboons, Yeah. They're very, they're very
similar. So like, I'm not gonna, I'm not
gonna. I'm not a whole just into this
one. But yeah, I white.
This is also a baboon man. And we're already in like the
Japan arc, why not just double down with Japanese snow monkey?

(01:05:21):
OK, I'm gonna ask you this. How much you want to bet that
white baboons are native to Japan?
Let's find out, OK? Can I wildlife the Lulanguaz
white baboons? Can I?
Can I get a place of origin? Mr. Edwards Self Photo Safari.
Hear it in a sentence, please. They are native of Africa, so

(01:05:42):
that is incorrect. Well, I tried.
All right, well, all I heard wasthat I'm right and I'm staying.
They got white baboons in Minecraft.
What do they really? I didn't know that.
Monkey jockey shot shot up. Why baboon?

(01:06:05):
All right, I think we covered everything in this set of
episodes. Now I feel satisfied.
So so for those at home, this istechnically our end of Arc
special. So we're just gonna do some, you
know, some some reflection, if you will.
So boys, how do we feel about our time in Whole Cake Island?
Well I loved it, I had a great time.
I love the themes, I love the the fight with Luffy and

(01:06:27):
Katakuri, I love the Sanji bits.I have no notes honestly very
few. Only you should ask Christian
that question though. Why?
Why not? I like answering questions.
So anyway, I fucking hated it. It was terrible, it was a waste
of time and honestly I'm glad tobe done with it.
That's. Like for real, for real, that's
how you feel I. Don't think it's far off.

(01:06:53):
I feel, I feel as though Whole Cake was fine.
I, we've also kind of lightly gone over this already.
So I, I think I with the experience of both of them, I
feel like Dress Rosa and Whole Cake end up on equal if I were
to give them a rating, they're probably both pretty similar,

(01:07:16):
like within 1/2 star of each other.
They're not, they're not super different in what they offer me
in, in the sense that Dressrosa has a lot that it gives me lore
wise about the world and some ofthe other things that are in it,
and also provides me with the entertaining action sequences
and interactions between characters that I'm looking for.

(01:07:38):
Whole Cake offers a little bit of that with less, less lows
than dress Rosa because dress I,I, again, a sentiment that's
already been explored, is that dress also higher highs, lower
lows. Whole Cake rides a much more
median line, but on the on the grand scheme of things, old cake

(01:08:00):
story was not incredibly compelling to me because I don't
learning more Sanji back story was cool, I guess, and having
having back story plus for a character as a as a concept is
is cool and I hope we get kind of more of it.
But the the story itself I Sanji's whole thing involvement

(01:08:23):
in it was obviously the the impetus for the Ark, but I was
not incredibly moved by a lot ofit.
More of my enjoyment came from the new stuff with involving Big
Mom's crew. And even then there were some
lows like the fucking biscuit fight that took forever and was
boring as shit. Tell me.

(01:08:44):
About it. So yeah, I mean, on the whole
the the Ark, the Ark was fine. If I if I were to break it
amongst other arcs in this show,it would not place very highly I
don't think. I sit somewhere close to
Christian. I think I feel bad because I
feel like in the two times I've had the opportunity to watch
this arc, I feel like I didn't give it like it's fair amount of

(01:09:10):
like my investment or time or energy, whatever you want to
call it. Because like I dropped, I
dropped it when it was airing live around this time, right?
And then when we're covering with the podcast, you know, I, I
learned more about the arc in the series or, you know, it's
part of the series than I knew beforehand.
But I also just wasn't invested.I was just like kind of going
through the motions. I was like, OK, there's some

(01:09:31):
cool stuff I like to see and there's a bunch of other stuff I
really don't care about or I'm not invested in.
And a part of me really just wonders if like, let's say whole
kick start around episode 700. I forgot the exact episode
number. Let's say it starts around
episode 700. It's 700 episodes of One Piece
where I like just just gas out like that's my limit. 700

(01:09:52):
episodes. And then I need to recuperate
because it feels like I've just kind of maybe burnt down the
series both times at this exact time.
And maybe it's for like a particular reason.
I'm just like, I go steady with the series and then around here
I just lose all my investment. So I feel bad.
I want to attempt to like give Whole Cake like all of me and
see if I like change my opinion. But other than that, I'm like

(01:10:12):
it. It was a time to be had.
I'd say a mostly good time. There's some good stuff I enjoy,
you know, some of the themes, the character designs.
Like I like the Sanji family stuff, Cod Cree fights, cool and
great. Yeah, a lot of highlight
moments. But in terms of like, you know,
from cover to cover, I'm just kind of like hate to see it.
Hate to see it and I'll be winners side.

(01:10:33):
I want to experience the whole cake that the One Piece
community feels and experiences because everyone, there's a lot
of people who are like, this is my favorite arc and I'm like, I
don't feel anything for it. I.
I think, I think you need to be more invested in Sanji.
That's my, that's the, I think that's the bottom line.
I, I think, I think without an investment in Sanji, Whole Cake
loses a lot of the magic that other people have.

(01:10:54):
That's mostly my feeling on it. Yeah, there's probably a lot of
truth to that. All right.
Next question. All right, Christian, we're
officially 2 episodes in to likeTouching Land on Wano.
You have any thoughts, any predictions?
Any any feelings you want to share?
I, I mean, I enjoy, I enjoy the art style.
The art style shift is fun. Yes dude, yes dude.
The art style so good. I'm here for the, the bright and

(01:11:20):
colorful nature of, of Wano. Now, it was bright before, but I
was very inundated with shades of red on whole cake because
everything was just pink and maroon and and and and red and
so on. Like there were other islands
involved in it, but and the, andthe characters themselves added
different color palette palette to it.

(01:11:41):
But the, the saturation of colorin Wano so far anyway, has been
a breath of fresh air as opposedto what we've just gotten with
Whole Cake. So I, I, I'm, I'm pretty
excited. And not only the the saturation
of it, but the fluidity of movement feels, feels very

(01:12:02):
interesting. Like it's not it's not as fluid
in the same way that it was previously.
It has a little bit more of thatlike hand drawn aesthetic to it.
I don't really know how else to describe it.
I. Agree.
And I think Brenda could correctme if I'm wrong on this, but I'm
pretty sure that's like intentional what's actually
happening. I I think around this time I

(01:12:25):
would say that like the animators like return to form
quote UN quote where they like. Hold on, I I won't, don't, don't
get too carried away. This is not the point in Wano
where they went hard. This is the part in Wano where
they decided if we want to invest people, we need to spend
a lot of money upfront. I believe it or not, this is not
when Wano goes hard. Wano goes even harder later down

(01:12:47):
the line. I'm not going to say he's wrong
in the sense of like, it's goingto go harder.
It's going to increase in budgetand, and, and and quality again.
But for me, like I'm thinking about what I felt and still
believe. Like when I first watched these
episodes like four or five yearsago, I was like, whoa, what a
what a shift, what a, what a like, I don't know, I want an

(01:13:08):
art style even at this point, let alone anything down the
line, really. Just like in in cap, like, I
don't know, I was just so drawn in.
I was so in love with. It I do feel like they someone
invented this art style for Stampede and then they they
liked it enough that they just like like all of their internal
software was like defaulted to using that as like a palette

(01:13:28):
from now on. And I do think that they also
fell in love with it. I meant to bring it up.
I hope you like it, because you're gonna be stuck with it
for a while. I meant to bring it up before
and after picture. Unfortunately I couldn't find
it, but there there was an imageof like, you know, comparing,
you know, this art style to like, I think it was a picture
from like from just Rose in particular.
One thing I enjoyed the most I enjoyed and maybe didn't notice

(01:13:50):
immediately was like there's just a lot more attention to
detail on certain things in particular were like the faces
like in now, OK, sorry. In Dressrosa you can kind of see
where like I won't say there were shortcuts taking because I
don't know if I'd like any, not modularly say that with any type
of truth to it, but with certainfaces it would be like, OK,

(01:14:10):
there's a lot less detail. There's not as much shading or
shadowing applied. I feel like their faces were
like more angular. I know what you're saying, but
also I do think that Oda's like design for the general
population of Wano does a lot ofheavy lifting here.
All of his background charactershave that like weird aesthetic

(01:14:34):
that they look like those old fashioned paintings that you see
on like scrolls from old time Japanese like inspirations or
whatever. He went out of his way to design
the vast majority of the native Wano people with that aesthetic
and it, it does draw like a veryfun contrast to what we're used
to and it's a contrast to like our main characters.

(01:14:57):
So they stand out a lot more. I, I don't think that that's
necessarily the animation like doing the work.
I think it's more just the designs themselves have a lot
more flavor than anything we've been used to with background
characters in the past. Any any predictions, any I don't
know anything you want to happenin Wano while we're here?
You didn't even mention the factthat Big Mom said she's coming

(01:15:18):
to Wano. Oh, true.
We did forget that. I, that's, that's right.
I, I, I, I'm going to stand on the idea that she doesn't show
show up in this arc. I just I feels fundamentally.
Feels too. Much exactly.
It just, it feels like there's going to, there's too much going
on. If we got two of the four

(01:15:39):
emperors chilling on this island, both trying to go after
Luffy slash, probably fighting each other also because they
don't want, well, Kaido doesn't want her ass on the island.
So it feels at this moment like this is basically gonna be the

(01:16:00):
excuse for getting Kaido out of the first AD.
Well, I'll arbitrarily call it half of the ark because he'll
have to be dealing with Big Mom.Oh.
OK, so you so you think that BigMom is going to stall Kaido for
the first half of the ark and then go on?
No, I mean, yes, that that's essentially the case, yeah.
OK. And then we go after Kaido after

(01:16:21):
well. That that's the part I don't
know why I, I, I think at this moment the best I got is big Mom
is going to be a distraction forKaido.
He's going to have she's going to come anyway.
She clearly said so she's on herway over doesn't give a damn
about giving him permit. She she was not asking
permission. She was telling him I'm coming

(01:16:42):
to Wano to kill Straw Hat Luffy and he went cool.
No, you're not. So now he's got it.
He's got to deal with her in some way, shape or form.
And I don't know what the what. However, it ends up being the
case that he deals with her. I, I assume somehow they're not
going to fight or if they do, Kaido's going to come out

(01:17:05):
largely unscathed. Because I would be a little
annoyed if we ended up with the same sort of deal like a
Katakuri situation again, where we just we, we take a big bad
that we can't defeat and then weinjure them a little somehow so
that our heroes can engage them in a meaningful way.

(01:17:25):
So however he deals with being mom, I have no idea what's going
to happen in the meantime though.
Like what the my assumption hereis that it would we're going to
have to deal with the actual government of Wano in some way
because the Kozuki clan, as we found out, held and branded as
traitors for the country. And we already we already know

(01:17:47):
that Odin is dead, But I I don'tdo.
Do we remember how we. We know he was.
They betrayed. Yes, he was betrayed by the
Shogun and and put to death. That is what we know.
Yes, so so in in some way the narrative around the Koski clan
would they were shaped into betrayers.

(01:18:07):
And now we're probably going to have to deal with the, the
politics of, of Wano a little bit first before we we dive into
what Kaido is doing behind the scenes.
Or we'll do some of both, but mostly the the government stuff,
while we don't have Kaido to directly interact with, do.
You think we'll have Godzilla inthis arc?

(01:18:28):
Yes, sure, why not? Next question.
Japan after all, all. Right.
Assuming you don't have any thoughts about Wano
preemptively, we can move on to this last question.
I guess so. I know we lightly touched upon
it, but I'll just ask again for clarity.
Do you think we'll return to thereverie like in Person I?
Fucking hope so, OK? He's like we, we fucking.

(01:18:51):
There's so many random loose ends that they just leave all
over over our heads and I to to think that they would just off
screen it and slowly wean out the information to us is it
sounds like a crime to me that we we better end up in the
reverie in some some capacity. I think that's it, unless anyone
else got questions. No, I think that's good.

(01:19:12):
I mean, I, I don't feel like we can answer because
unfortunately, like, you know, we, we do, we do know how this
shakes out. So I don't, I don't have
anything funny to contribute. Unfortunately, I have an.
Approximate knowledge about manythings in this.
Right. Yes, yes, we know you have
approximate knowledge of many things.
All right. Anyway, moving on.
May I please do? May I please do this?
Part Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, moving on, next week

(01:19:33):
there will actually be a tier list episode.
The topic of that tier list is to be determined by a vote that
is transpiring within our discord.
So if you have an interest in another tier list for us to do
and have a very stark opinion onwhat that should be, please
participate in that voting. Process the.

(01:19:53):
I think it'll. Mostly it's already completed.
Mostly be irrelevant unless you're listening to this like
the second it drops then you're you may not get a chance to
because right now we're recording these week to week.
So we're recording this now. It's going to release next week,
next Thursday, so. OK.
So largely. It's not likely you will get a

(01:20:14):
chance to but so if you caught it, if you're listening to this
and saw that there was a a vote on our social slash in the
discord, thank you for voting. You still got time.
Go go do. You might have like a smidgen of
time left. Following that, believe it or
not, we're going to be giving you a two week rendition.

(01:20:35):
We will be doing Stampede as a live recording two weeks from
today. In fact, today being July 10th,
that that means that we will be doing a live recording of
Stampede on July 24th at 7:00 PMin our community Discord.
Be there or be square people. All right, and now moving on to

(01:20:59):
quotes. Who's got quotes?
Where they at? Where they at?
I got them. I got 2.
I've got 4. I'm, I'm just going to go
forward. We don't have that many.
In fact, I have one quote. But this other thing I made note
of was in what episode was it? Was it 890?
So the episode with Cat Viper and Marco in the village at
minute 718 when Marco is bandishing up the, the, what was

(01:21:24):
it called? The manicor.
He bandages up the manicor and then so you see the bandage, the
mansicor then like the like the camera then pans out like it's a
wider angle. It shows you the mansicor again,
like I think walking away without the bandage.
And I think that's so funny, youknow?
I I also think that's funny, butI want to amend my statement now

(01:21:44):
I'm thinking about it again. It wasn't the manacore, it was
the Sphinx. I'm an.
Idiot the. Sphinx was.
The one far in my in my notes. So we're all idiots here.
Yeah, yeah, that's fine. It was the Sphinx that said
noodles. Yes.
Now I I, I I totally remember. That's on me.
I I'm so sorry, listeners. I'm sure.
I'm sure somebody in the background was going.

(01:22:05):
Brendan, you're stupid again. I know, I know.
My brain can only do so many processing power at at any given
moment. So so my actual quote here from
that same episode, it's between the two like Guardian Minx, like
the the the Musketeer and whatever the night time people
are called. But the bull is called Brody, I
think, and the gorilla is calledBlack back.

(01:22:27):
So Brody, so I think Blackback wants to go like find Cat Viper
behind this waterfall to the hidden village, blah, blah,
blah, And Brody says Master toldyou to wait here because you got
a had got a scary face. And Blackback replies.
Is he the kind of guy who would get frightened by my face?
All right, that one took with me.
I like that. Also just two cool cool dudes.

(01:22:48):
They are. They are two cool dudes.
Very chill. I'm going to shotgun my 4.
This is Luffy when he sees the ape with a sword for the first
time. Why is that ape of a sword?
Guess this really is the land ofWano.
And in my mind I just love that that's the benchmark.
Like that's what he needed to see to be like Yep this has to
be Wano. There's an ape with a.
Sword. These guys are samurais.

(01:23:10):
Gotta be wano, it must be Honestly tracks.
Fair enough. I respect it.
This is Brooke. When he's trying to tell Sanji
that he wants a ride like, you know, to shore and whatnot.
And then Sanji's like, can't you, you know, run on water?
And then Brooke, like he goes like, I can't do the run on such

(01:23:31):
choppy water. I don't know why.
I don't know why. It tickled me.
I just like that he called it the run.
I can't do the run on such choppy water.
Like he recognizes it, that it'slike it's the run that's a bit I
can't do the bit I'm not going to.
Lie to you? I'm surprised Sanji actually

(01:23:53):
eventually agreed to carry everyone.
Listen, he's a he's a a snob, but he's not an asshole.
He was. Going to change him because
prior to Whole Cake my boy was definitely abandoning Chopper
and Brooke but like for real? That's that's our family,
brother. Of course he ain't going to
abandon him. Also one of the best quotes of

(01:24:13):
all time. I have 10 kids, the oldest is
only 7. That means that guy is getting
it with more than one woman. For those keeping track at home,
he. Has to be that.
Well, look, could be triplets inthe mix here.
Oh. Shit, you're right.
All right. Maybe.
Maybe he's got. There's a couple.
Three sets of triplets. He went straight to USAFS
getting all the women instead of, well, maybe one of them had
a quintuple, you know? He jumps straight to.

(01:24:36):
My boy has a. Hair up.
He's got so many ladies. Like I did, I did default to
stop. Must have a hair up.
Yes that that is where my brain went.
It's a lie. Either way, who fucking cares?
Let me have this. This last one is Zorro as he
after he he does his thing and becomes a, you know, a wanted

(01:24:57):
criminal as this is after they all reacted to the post, they're
like, damn it, Zorro, what are you doing?
And then Zorro finally walks past it and then he's like, wow,
sure didn't waste any time on that.
Fucking scrolls off. What a guy, what a.
Guy, I have a similar quote, butI from slightly the same scene

(01:25:19):
for Zorro where I don't rememberif it's this scene now or if it
was like after he's done slaughtering all of the the
random samurai in the courtyard, but he he looks up at the sky
and he goes. You know, if nothing else, the
weather's nice in this country. He.
Did do that. He did say that that happened
after he he merked everybody with looking whatever his moves

(01:25:40):
called. The Dragon Twister, which looks
sick by the way. They, they, they were, they,
they put a lot of effort into making dragon Twister look look
bad ass as fuck. Absolutely.
And then and then going back to the scene of Sanji getting
everyone off the boat when choppers like grabbing onto his
leg and going like, Sanji, you got to take me with you too.

(01:26:02):
And Sanji just goes, sorry, can't, you're too heavy.
And then she's just continually sobbing over and over again.
I was like, oh, Chopper, no. Not my son.
But in my in my head, I'm like bro, chopper Chopper weighs like
5 lbs which is the joke because chopper, chopper weighs nothing.

(01:26:24):
So like might as well get on. But still like in my head like
Chopper weighs like 5 lbs soaking wet.
It is. It is indeed effect.
It is indeed effect. That's it, That's all I got.
We, we did it, we did it. We, we, we got through the
quotes. I'm proud of us.
All right, moving out of the golden Ham, who wins this week?
No, it's not Zorro. Who?
Who else is going to be on the list of nominees here?

(01:26:46):
Come on. I mean, of course he's going to
be on the list. What, What?
What do you got, Justin? Give me a give me a pitch.
Come on, give me a pitch. Or is it Was it just Zorro?
Was Zorro the only one on the list?
My man had a bowl cup like. He was the only one on.
The TV time and what happened tohim bro.
He was the. Only he was the oldest.

(01:27:06):
One, all the two things that happened to Wano, he was one of
them. You know, you know what?
Screw you dude. I'm giving it to the octopus and
this is my only chance. He was.
Actively causing a problem. He was falsely accused of a
problem. He could have ran dude, but he
did that. Thing where he was like yo.
Listen, he. Tried.
His best to follow Keenan Mon's rule up until the hour of his

(01:27:28):
execution, in which case he went.
Sorry guys, that's the problem I.
Think octopus. Octopus was funny and I'm
inclined to, you know, I'm goingto argue with him for another 20
seconds just to get it out there.
But I largely I agree with you. That's the problem, Justin is I
do really think he did his best, and the fact that that was his
best is his bad. Listen, he could have made a

(01:27:52):
ruckus sort of commotion for minute one, but he said he.
Could have left. He could have just gone away
before the cops even got to him.I.
Don't, I don't know about that one, Chief.
I don't know. I mean he.
Absolutely. Could have in the justice
system. He was like, I ain't doing no
role and these cops are. Completely unfounded before
rundown. There is no there is no reason

(01:28:12):
for Zorro to ever have have placed his faith in the justice
system. Listen, he was so real, right?
Technically, he was part of the justice system Once Upon a time.
He was getting paid for. He just, yeah, he just like,
haunted some people down with bounties to like, feed himself
once in a while. He was hardly a true bounty
hunter. So that being said, I I too am

(01:28:32):
going to vote for the octopus. Let's go here.
Like I'm so mad. The only person who had a
meaningful spotlight here. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait,
wait. OK, wait, wait, wait, wait,
wait, wait, wait, wait. Let me, Let me.
Let me hit you with a different pitch.
Before, before. Wait, stop that, stop that.
Put the keyboard down all right.Once the name is fully typed

(01:28:53):
out, we're operating on chess rules.
He's let go of the piece. It's locked in.
OK, hear me out. Oh Tama.
So anyway, I vote for the octopus.
Let's go she. Cutest little girl in the whole
world. Agree.
She was arrested for for standing on business.
She was like, man F the Shogun, F Kaido I'm here for.

(01:29:14):
Sapuku. Kazuki clan supremacy, all
right, she is a moderate. She is a political activist at
the age of like, I don't know, she's probably 8 or something.
My girl Otama, I mean, she's notfearless because she do be a
little girl. She's still afraid, but she's
the bravest little girl ever When when Luffy like was about
to get hit by something or whatever, Otama got that Dang on

(01:29:36):
her and just whacked the shit out of the dude in the back of
the head numerous times. Concussion city.
Oh Tama, I love it. I think you should too.
I do love Tama so. I'm voting for the.
Octopus. I do.
I do love Tama, but I'm going tovote for the octopus.
It. Was a valiant effort, Justin,
I'll give you that. What?
What? What you failed to recognize,
Justin, is that my meme became like a permanent stake in my

(01:30:00):
brain stem that you are not going to shake that it's just
the unfortunate truth. You you can't love Zorro this
hard because. Even almost kill Luffia.
Come on. Here dude.
Honestly, maybe the show would be better if it ended.
Just kidding, it's. Whoa, I don't.
Even have a response to that. That's what I'm saying, dude.

(01:30:22):
All right? Anyway, the octopus wins.
Who's the winner now? Move on to fan mail.
Let me let me open this bad boy up.
So you fellas hold on. I think, yeah, I have to be the
one to read this whole thing because because reasons that we
will be explaining. I mean, you're the one who
usually those. Emails from our our, our dear,
beloved listeners. Zach don't know the e-mail and

(01:30:43):
it's a quiz Zach writes. All right, guys, I'm back for
more stupid questions. And yes, these are designed to
be bullshit. OK, same prize as last time
being one free fan art pass. But Brendan can't answer them.
I hope you like Baby Bomb. Wait, I can't answer.
So it's just a Christian game show then?
Well, well, there's something for you later on, but we'll get

(01:31:03):
to that. Yeah, now it's just a question.
Baby Bomb Baby Bomb was fired. All right, Christian, here are
your questions. So we get to Brenton's.
So the quiz here says all answers are character names made
into puns. OK, so keep that in mind.
Question one, which is allegedlyeasy, according to the Zach
Reading System. That went well last time.

(01:31:23):
Which CP9 agent wakes up first? Could make me I'm going to make
me remember the all the fucking names of CP9, huh?
OK, there's there's Kaku, there's Lucci, there's the wolf
guy, there's. He has a name.
You know, Jabra, there's Luno. Jesus Christ, there's already

(01:31:49):
more. More than my brink.
And who? Which one wakes up the earliest?
Wakes up first wakes up. 1st Kaku.
He wakes up at the Kaku of dawn. You know it's also the answer is
correct. Great.
Good job with the with the addeddifferent context, Zach wrote.
Cuz kaku Doo Doo Doo. OK, fair enough.

(01:32:12):
That's good. I didn't.
I didn't get it either myself. I was thinking about it really
hard. I didn't think I was going to
find. It kaku Doo Doo Doo is good.
That's better. That's better than mine.
That's good. I like that.
I like that. All right.
Second question here is what mystery door would Broggy pick?
What mystery door would Broggy pick?
Well, the other guy's name was literally Dory, but what mystery

(01:32:38):
door? Mystery door.
I don't, I don't know I I I don't know.
Dory number one, my brother. Christ.
So I had to just say it was Dory.
I don't know why there's so muchin.
Your voice, you said it was. A re door.
E Fine. You over thought it so much.
Yeah, I did. I.
Did throw that one out. And then when you said it, I, I

(01:33:01):
had to contain myself. I'm like, don't think of it as
numbers. Think of it like letters.
It's door E, Door E. Door E OK, fair enough.
All right. We're moving up in a difficulty
scale here. Next question here is what would
be Magellan's biggest fear? Magellan's biggest This was a
little hard. To hear the answer.
Cod. It's going to be somebody from
Impel Down. Fuck off.

(01:33:24):
What would what was the What wasthe bondage jailer chick's name?
Domino. Sadie, Sadie, that doesn't help
me much or I don't think. Sadie the sadist.
Nice. Soda.
Nice. Tell me this isn't the first
time you're putting that together.
OK, this is the question. If you want me to to give you

(01:33:50):
some some names of people in theimpaled down space, I can.
I can give you just describe a character, I'll tell you.
Is there is there anyone whose name has anything to do with
dreams? Dreams.
No, no I don't think so. There's one with literally death
in his name. Oh, that was the was that the no

(01:34:12):
quote that the Egyptian guy had a different name?
Who's I don't know who Death wasthat was amiable worst
nightmare. What is Magellan's worst
brother? I'm I'm, I'm gonna cut you off
here. You're never going to get this
because even I wouldn't. The answer is a Lou fee Lou like
the bathroom because guys got chronic.
Diarrhea, I mean, I also thoughtyeah, I was thinking, I was

(01:34:33):
thinking it was going to be liketoilet related too.
But okay, I may I forgot. About the toilet I.
Don't know why Brendan can't answer these.
Why is Brendan not allowed to answer these?
I guess he thought I do too good.
I would have gotten the last oneto be fair.
Dory. Yeah, Dory.
Was easy. That was the easiest sniff.
We're moving up in one more difficulty scale.

(01:34:54):
Okay, this one I'm allowed to give you a half what it?
Takes. That one was tough.
That one was pretty tough. Next question, what Pokémon with
excuse me, what Pokémon would Bartolomeo see if he played
Pokémon? Would he see what?
Bartolomeo See. The hint is the the the answer
to the to the Riddle here is related to a warlord.

(01:35:14):
But the question is, what Pokémon would he see?
Yes, what? What Pokémon would he see if
what? If he played Pokémon or you
know, in Pokémon, Pokémon would Bartolomeo see?
And it's a warlord. Yeah, think, think, think of the
pun in the in the context of like a warlord's name.
Well, I mean, there's Don Quixote, Dolph Flamingo, there's

(01:35:36):
Kuma, there's Boa Hancock, there's Hawkeye me Hawk, there's
Trafalgar Law, there's Blackbeard, there's Moria.
Moria. No Gene Bay Crocodile.
Crocodile. Crocco Rock.
But but, but specifically Bartolomeo.
Like why Bartolomeo? He's green, he's a cannibal, he

(01:36:01):
makes barriers. I don't know, I'm fucking lost,
okay? The answer to the Riddle or the
the the pun here is Bart saw a mew which sounds like
Bartolomeu. Kuma.
Oh my God, ain't no way. I was going to get that.
Yeah, Bartholomew. Kuma knowing Kuma doesn't.
That doesn't mean that doesn't help at.

(01:36:22):
All well, that one, that one's sort of taking the rule and then
like kind of bending it a littlebit being like.
So anyway, when I said that all the answers are specific names,
this one sounds like the answer. All right, well.
How was it was that? The end.
Was that the last one? No way.
That's the last one for you. The next question is for
Brendan. Only I, I'm, I'm scared.
At least actually I got one. I would have got one is all I'm

(01:36:44):
saying. What fast food did Luffy want on
Thriller Bark? What fast food did Luffy want on
Thriller Bark? Put them downs.
What the fuck is it? Put them down.
I was thinking that like when hepushed the zombie in the ground
and I don't know, I I made-up a fast food chain.
Let let me live my Life, OK Bojangles?

(01:37:04):
Nah, that that doesn't sound. Is this also a pun?
Yes. OK, so OK, say say the.
Question name of the. Character, give me the question
once. Once more what?
Fast food did Luffy want on Thriller bark?
What fast food did Luffy want onThriller Bark?
Was there actually fast? Food.
Is it? Is the pun a play on like a fast

(01:37:24):
food chain? Cerberus.
A brand name yes, is a plan is aplan on a brand name.
Not Cerberus. He I think he wanted to eat
Cerberus at one point. Maybe that's not true.
Best 5. Guys, just straight up five
guys. What if it was five guys?
I mean, I don't know. Well, actually, wait a minute.
No, because he's got like 17. Yeah, five guys.

(01:37:47):
I don't know what you just worked out in your head, but it
sounds like we need the answer because.
In in in Thriller Bark they shoved a bunch of shadows in
him. He had literally 5 dudes in him.
Oh, there were a lot more than 5, but yeah, sure.
Well, he had at least five dudesin him, Yeah.
Yeah. The answer is not Five Guys.
The answer is McDonald's, which is the name of the zombie tree

(01:38:09):
that Luffy tried to recruit. Oh yeah, I ain't never going to
get that. I did not know that.
Tree had to me. Nor did I know it was
McDonald's. All right, crazy.
I like my answer better. Zach finishes off with I hope
you enjoyed the quiz in I'm sorry I can't read.

(01:38:30):
I hope you enjoyed the quiz. Are you OK?
Is discord just cutting you out? What's happening?
I just can't. Oh, he's tapping.
OK. Oh, he's doing, he's doing.
He's tying on the other line, folks.
Don't mind guys. Don't mind this.
Yeah, I may mix in a who's that Pokémon with one piece
silhouettes next, but that's still in the works.

(01:38:52):
And even more bullshit, I just cram a one piece character into
the wrong silhouette. Dude, if you give me who's that
Pokémon One Piece silhouettes, it's on site.
I'm winning. It is on site.
You can't play. You cannot.
Putting out a a weird twist to it though, like he was going to
cram regular Pokémon into them into the silhouette of a One

(01:39:13):
Piece character. Well, well, then you're just
ruining it for me, all right? All I'm saying is if you play
who's that Pokémon with normal ass characters in one piece like
budging them a little bit. I I got it.
I've got this for sure. Thank you, Zach, for the e-mail.
I think I got 1 1/2. I'm going to I'm going to claim
half of the Dory one. My man was right there and then.

(01:39:35):
You. You.
Literally said it and then you were like well, his best
friend's Dory. Yeah, I was like it.
I was like, but Dory like, I don't know.
I was thinking of like a like a specific door from some piece of
meteor or whatever that would goalong with Dory and I was like,
I don't know, whatever. That's just too big brain for
the rest. Clearly, yeah.
Keep them coming though. That Luffy one, I'm thinking
about a more and more and I'm like you, you got something

(01:39:57):
there. I I think it was a little too
big brain, but you got somethingthere.
The what loofah the. Luffy, yeah, because, you know,
the other thing too is that he became Nightmare Luffy and
impelled down, so it makes sensethat he would be Magellan's
nightmare. True, the only missing component
is the fee. I don't know how you get like
Lou makes sense, but. Was that the end is actually.

(01:40:18):
Yes, that's cool. Lou is how the British prefer to
the bathroom. Like the toilet and fee as in
like, you know, a toll. Imagine he has to pay to use the
bathroom with how many times he has to fucking go.
Producer shout outs go to Taco and it's me reducer.
Shout outs Taco and it's me, Rabbit.
Let's go. Thank you.
Taco and it's me. Rabbit, your movies are coming.
You're awesome. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

(01:40:39):
I. Love to say I'm I'm tired.
I didn't. I don't want to do anything
funny for the next for the next.Bit then just the garb gap I.
Just wanna I've got a bag, somebody fucking pull a sticker
out. A sticker.
Is it filled with our stickers? It is.
It is. In fact.
Fuck, I had. We had a bunch that didn't.
I need a new so I need a new pickled pickled foot Zeph

(01:41:00):
sticker. The one on my water bottles
wearing out. So calm tough for you pop up.
All right, well, what you get, it's not, it's not that.
It's the, it's sailor's aura, which is, which is good too, but
like, I'm gonna get enough wait.Wait, which is good I'm.
Gonna get a Zorro in this arc though, so like I was really
hoping for that pickled foot, but I, you know what I.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's good.
I'll take a sailor's aura on theback of it here.

(01:41:24):
You've written the, the, the, the gap for this week is a rain
check and it says what was the best part of summer vacation
growing up? And no, you can't say the fact
that school was out. I'll go first.
I think I have an easy answer. Easily the best part of summer
vacation was the number of nights spent as a child,

(01:41:46):
teenager, tween, whatever you want to call it, Getting on
bikes, putting our Playstations, our Xboxes under one house for
the evening, spending the night getting pizza, and then, you
know, just fucking having a night.
Man, those, those were the parties.
I never had like a real LAN party, mainly because I've
always only really been a console gamer, but I definitely

(01:42:08):
like hooked up like Xbox. Like at one point we had like 4X
boxes on what is essentially a LAN party.
And then we had like either two players or four players.
It was it was nuts looking Halo 2 back in those days.
Crazy. That's it, man.
That's it. That's those were the days,
brother. Even when I got a little older

(01:42:29):
we did the same thing with like Left 4 Dead Two Man I I still
yearn for those days. I think that largely my favorite
part of summer vacation was going swimming in just about any
regard, like going to lakes or the beach or to the pool.
I'm I'm a huge, I'm a big, I'm abig swimming guy.

(01:42:49):
Still AM still love a beach for,for swimming in the ocean and,
but even more so when I was younger because you just have,
you just have more time. And because it's this dedicated
time of the year where you just get to do nothing.
But you don't have to do school. So you have all this time to do
whatever else you want, like getting to go to the pool.
So much fun. And then as teenager, like in

(01:43:11):
my, in my early working years, like first job that I had was
lifeguarding too. So I just, I just doubled and
tripled down on being able to doit whenever I wanted basically
during during the school outing. So I big swimming guy, I love
that for. Me.
Or why? Unfortunately, I was like a

(01:43:33):
homebody growing up, so I spent a lot of time at home, which was
cool until it wasn't. But I always enjoyed just being
able to like just watch hours upon hours of like, not honestly
mindless, but mostly mindless television.
All the Cartoon Network, all theNickelodeon I got could handle
watch anything that was new coming out, which is really

(01:43:53):
exciting. You know, having something to
look forward to week to week, similar to like how school kind
of operated. Bro.
It was even more peak if you hadlike a prime time show for every
day of the weekday. Perfect.
Also when I eventually like got older instant video games, pro
summer vacation plus online video games, I was I was just a

(01:44:16):
gremlin and I loved every momentof it.
Sick. All right, we didn't.
We answered the question. If you garb gab for giving us a
question. I like that rain check.
We did it, we did it. That being said, we're at the
end of our show tonight and if you enjoyed it, you can follow

I'm trying to bump up to 4.9 again.
Brother don't support us, we. Suck.
Don't. Justin wants to quit.
Man, it must be, must be Brendanvillain arc too.
We did not say that. That's crazy.
I mean. Everybody's everyone at double
double down villain arc because I said I hated wool Hulk cake,
isn't it? Christians a loser?

(01:44:58):
Well, you know. But we knew that.
I mean, that's just, that's just, we all knew that.
Send us an e-mail like Zach did at pandasightings@gmail.com.

people that watch One Piece, youcan go to our Discord and you
can talk to all of them. Or if you would be so inclined,

(01:45:21):
through it where you can give a little bit of money or you can
give a little bit more money like Taco and Rabbit do, and you
can have your name shouted out on the show and designate a
movie for us to watch in the future.
Although in the coming the coming months, the panda views
will be shaking up a little bit here.
Jordy has cooked up some things that we can we can do change it.

(01:45:42):
So it might not always be movie stuff.
There will be other things that we indulge in there.
So be on the lookout for our other podcast feed, Panda View
for that. And Reyes, five stars.
Don't listen to Brendan. He's a curmudgeon and a tyrant.
And we hate zero stars and leavecomments on platforms that do

(01:46:03):
that because it's kind of fun sometimes to go back and see
comments. Tell just Do you hate news?
E-mail us the reviews and we'll read them.
All out, we will do that. I enjoyed the other guy who was
yelling. He's he he's gone now.
OK. Yeah.
Yeah. So.
So are we Good. I still got to read that One
Piece chapter that came out tonight.
And I got some resume to catch up on.
I catch the last 30 minutes of his life.

(01:46:24):
I leave right now. I'm gonna flop down on my bed
and stare at the ceiling until my tears lull me to sleep.
Yo, hit me with that shamus it again.
Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding.
Music to my ears. Oh do you just reminded me bro,
the Shami son in in in wano sick.
I love how you're just having. Two hours later, the end of the

(01:46:48):
show, they've already closed it out and aren't listening
anymore. Literally that the goal is for
have that be the closing thoughtand you're just like, oh, you
don't want the Shamison in this episode was.
Really cool, I got 5 more minutes left in me guys, you.
Gonna play some Shami son for usthat.
Character is going to be relevant to Shamison.
Again. Ding Ding Ding, Ding Ding Ding

(01:47:08):
Ding. I feel like I'm doing a banjo
more than a Shami sin, but you know, do the drop.
